w their prices upfront and even have a list of preferred vendors with their prices if you’re in a pinch. We were having a hard time finding a vendor and they made recommendations and checked their availability to help with the planning process. Of course, you can use your own vendors but the pricing upfront was an easy way to help us gauge the average cost. Meagan met with us and emailed us throughout the planning stages to assist. As someone that had no idea what I wanted, she offers suggestions on what your wedding day timeline could look like. The same was true for our ceremony. With everyone looking to you for answers, she is there with the guidance you need to make your vision come to life. The day of the wedding, we arrived prepared to help with set up but she and the Milton Ridge team took care of everything, leaving us to enjoy our time in the bridal and groom suites, which are seriously the cutest. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this venue and cannot recommend them enough!!

on to exchange our vows without feeling overly religious while the reception hall was an amazing back drop to dance the night away! The bridal cottage and grooms suite provided more then enough space to get ready for the big day and had amazing photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend splurging on the photo booth as well. My guests LOVED it! What really made everything amazing was the staff!! From the wait staff to bartender to Meaghan! Speaking of Meaghan, I can't put into words how wonderful she is!!! Everything was planned to a T and she made sure everything came out perfect! She brought my wedding vision to life! She took the stress out of planning and I really can't thank her enough. I would highly recommend Milton Ridge!!

ment plan option was perfect for us. We especially liked that the food was prepared in house. We did not need to hire an outside vendor. Meaghan has so many connections. She was able to give a few recommendations for everything we needed. There were so many different options to choose from, but our day was made so simple by being able to prepare for the day in the bridal cottage & groom suite, be married on the grounds, then have cocktail hour and our reception in the hall. It was the best day of our lives so far!

of the beautiful indoor and outdoor options for a ceremony. After looking at several different venues, I'm so grateful for Milton Ridge and what it provided for my wedding day. On top of being a beautiful venue, the friendliness and ease with which Ronnie and other employees showed us made our wedding day peaceful, welcoming, and love-filled. I spoke with several other venue vendors who were extremely strict and limiting with what they would offer, whereas Ronnie was open to our ideas and willing to work with us, while maintaining a very reasonable price. As I stated before, there are different options available for an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception, which gave us peace of mind for our May wedding. We ended up having a beautiful, intimate outdoor ceremony and reception on their patio. We used their lovely wooden hexagon as our wedding arch, and they provided us with sleek and simple chairs and tables for our afternoon reception.

booking for our wedding it was absolutely perfect at first sight. While we were there we got a tour of the property. We also discussed packages and prices. Meaghan was absolutely amazing. The venue is all inclusive. So Megan took care of booking the DJ is the toggery for in the officiant. There are various packages prices and menus to choose from so everything can be pretty much custom. The pandemic happened we didn’t know if our wedding was going to happen. We had less than 25 people on our guest list and we bought masks and hand sanitizer for everyone. The food was delicious which is catered by in-house staff. We arrived to the venue on our wedding day at noon and I went to the bridal suite, and my room to be went to the groomer sweet and we got ready and hung out. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and you can’t go wrong booking Milton Ridge. Milton Ridge is perfect for small weddings larger weddings or any other events. The staff are amazing. I’m editing this review before I submit it because we actually got married on September 12 but for some reason when I go to choose September 12 as the date I cannot.

Meaghan put a plate aside for us, even the appetizers!! There are so many places that are great for photos, too. There's an empty lot in front of the venue that may look shabby, but PERFECT for portraits!! With the uplighting, the venue looks absolutely beautiful at night. Don't even get me started on the chapel. I barely got to see it on my wedding day, but it was a dream. The chapel has a very simple layout and look. . I would look forward to our communications because Meaghan always found a way to be so uplifting. It can be very hard to stay positive during such a hectic time like planning your wedding but Meaghan is the best at keeping you focused and grounded while you go step by step through the process of getting married. I know it may seem like Overkill but seriously, when we lost our officiant a week before the wedding Meaghan graciously stepped in as if it were seamless and rocked it!!! She makes it all look effortless and is always there to help with guidance. She smooths out all the bumps on the big day and is an amazing support and on your big day, there is nothing more important then having someone like her in your corner!!! The flowers on site are jireh's flowers & events and Johanna is nothing short of brilliant!!! Her work is inspired. I truly wasn’t looking for a big floral presence in my wedding but after sitting and talking with Johanna, just getting to know each other (we didn’t even talk much about flowers in that first conversation) then she just shot me some ideas and I was blown alway!!!! She chose arrangement and flowers I could not have dreamt in my wildest dreams and that spoke to me and my husbands personalities and vibe flawlessly. Her flowers added the perfect pops of color and tastefulness to the event and the pictures. I now follow her on all social media and she is an inspiration. The makeup artist was meticulous and while it took a while I have never felt or looked more beautiful in my whole life!!! She was able to take all my ideas and thoughts and turn it into exactly how I wanted to look that day. The photographer got us some amazing shots. Lots of variety and spots around the whole property. They were not as verbal as I would have preferred but they still managed to get amazing shots posed and candid!!! Everyone was so friendly and soooo quick with getting back to you!!! The venue itself is stunning and has really choice places for pictures all year round. The on site photographer knows the. Eat locations to shoot so well!!! The staff is great and friendly. The location has everything you need right there in the premises. The church and reception hall are beautiful clean pallets to begin with so you can keep it simple or dress it up to the nines. Everything you can think of is already though of for you!!! My wedding was about 100 guests and it was perfect!!! The staff will do everything in their power to make it your best day. And again Meaghan and Johanna are magic workers and create an environment that would be perfect for any event!!!

be getting married at. We did plenty of other searches around our area but we ended up picking Milton Ridge (which is 2 hours away from where we live!). Meaghan was amazing! She was always prompt at responding and very flexible with our schedules when we had to meet up. We went with all the vendors that Milton Ridge had to offer. The food was amazing (yum), the cake was gorgeous, Johanna (the florist) did an outstanding job with her flower arrangements, and the photographers/videographers did such an amazing job capturing all the special moments! I would definitely recommend to go with all their vendors! I wanted as much of stress free wedding as possible and not having to worry about findings the vendors was a big help! Plus Meaghan did all the coordination with them so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Might I also add that this venue offers an off-season discount which can save you plenty of $$$. I am a very happy bride and would highly recommend this venue (even my mom who is soooo picky about everything loved this place haha)

TL;DR: Pick this venue. You won’t regret it. Where do I even start? From the beginning Ronnie and Meaghan were amazing. My mom found this venue in the beginning of our search and as soon as my fiance and I stepped foot on the property, we knew ...
it was the one for us without any hesitation. There are a lot of aspects of Milton Ridge so I’ll start with the people. Meeting with Ronnie was a great experience--he was kind, informative, and fun to be around. And then there’s Meaghan. Meaghan is my girl. She is, hands down, one of my favorite humans. She knows what she’s doing and I can honestly say I would’ve lost my mind had it not been for her. She never told me no, only gave advice. If I wanted something, she made it work. Spend the extra money and get her help for your day of coordination. Meaghan was always there before I could even ask her a question, already answering it. I honestly miss her already. The entire staff that worked our event was fun, quick, and made our event that much more special. The venue itself is simple, but beautiful--think of it like a blank palette and you can truly make it your own. The bridal cottage is vintage and makes for beautiful pictures while the groom’s suite gives the boys something to do all day--think the ultimate bachelor pad. The chapel is something out of a movie and it was honestly what sold me and my now husband. It’s the perfect size for an intimate ceremony that can also seat up to 150 people. There are a lot of venues in the area--ones that are probably bigger or whatever--but I can guarantee you won't get the personal attention to every detail, delicious food, amazing vendors, and intimate ceremony you’ll get here. If I could go back and do it all over again, I definitely would and I would choose Milton Ridge.

Our June wedding could not have been more perfect. We had a wonderful time, as did all of our guests. Let me give you some of the details to give you an idea why we chose Milton Ridge. We had a Friday evening ceremony and reception for 125 ...
people. We had light h’ors d’ouvres and cocktails, followed by a buffet dinner, DJ, and dancing. Open Bar. 1. The setting. Beautiful – each and every season that we visited throughout the process and planning it was lovely. The outside is maintained meticulously, and the clean palette of colors inside go well with any vibe you’re trying to create, be it contemporary, rustic, or elegant. 2. The amenities. When you book your wedding, the venue is yours for the day. No rushing in after the midday ceremony to set up for your evening event! There are several options for your ceremony, both inside and out. The bridal cottage and grooms dressing area are perfectly appointed, with plenty of room for your wedding party to relax and get ready – great for photo’s as well. The bride can even peek at the guests arriving to the chapel! 3. What’s included. Quite a few of the items that are considered “extra” with other venues are standard at Milton Ridge, and having all of the catering on site made for a stress-free day for the bride(me!) The menu selection is wide, delicious and varied, and they can even create something just for your event. We were working with 2 numbers – our budget and number of guests – and Meaghan was amazing at always keeping our numbers closely aligned. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES! 4. The staff. We worked with Meaghan Ford, who is a Godsend to the owner Ronnie. She was with us every step of the planning, and always available for our questions. Very detail oriented, she was always providing options without injecting her tastes or preferences. On the wedding day she was unflappable, and always appeared exactly when I turned to look for her. I’m sure there were things she took care of that I am, to this day, unaware of. The rest of the service staff was good as well; we did a buffet and it was well replenished and plates were cleared. 5. Preferred vendors. Milton Ridge has several preferred vendors for various services. We utilized a preferred DJ service as well as a preferred florist. Of course, it makes sense; they see events all of the time and they know who is good at what they do! The DJ was easy to work with, professional, responsive, and really gave us what we were looking for in terms of music. We’re eclectic in our taste, and he pulled it all together – from cocktail hour serene to dance floor hustle. The florist was a gem – she went over and above to give me what I had envisioned. She made sure that I was happy with every arrangement. The smallest of details was not overlooked as she blended our table decorations with her flowers, greenery, and tiny touches. She really loves what she does, and it shows!!! I got a good feel when I first went in for a visit and met Meaghan. After the wedding, I had that same good feeling – I really do feel that they truly care about making your event what YOU want it to be, and they will work with you to make your day perfect for YOU. I looked thru the pictures, and no two weddings in their portfolio are alike – and this makes me happy, because no two brides are alike.

Milton Ridge is your one stop shop! The bridal cottage and grooms loft is the perfect area to enjoy getting ready and the perfect backdrop for some amazing/fun pictures. But my favorite spot at Milton Ridge would be the chapel. It is absolutely beautiful. It is simple and quaint but so perfect for a intimate ceremony. It doesn't need much to dress it up and again is perfect for pictures. And finally to patio area and reception hall. The patio is perfect for the cocktail hour which luckily we had perfect weather for our July 14th wedding and our guests were able to mingle the beautiful grounds of Milton Ridge before being seated in the reception hall. Meaghan & her team hit a home run capturing my exact envision of how I wanted the hall to be set up. It looked stunning. From the up-lighting, to the table settings, from the amazing food set-up, to the photo booth. It was perfect!!! I highly recommend Milton Ridge for any or all events. In June, my husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary by hosting a vow renewal and wedding reception at Milton Ridge. To say the day was spectacular is an understatement! The owner and operator, Ronnie Kingsley, handled every detail (gre...
at or small) with impeccable care. The Bridal Cottage provided the ideal spot for me to gather with my daughters, sisters and close girlfriends before the ceremony. The room was stocked with cold drinks, spacious enough to accommodate my hair/make-up team and allowed the special women in my life to socialize and relax before the big event. My husband and his crew enjoyed their own alone time in the "man cave" or Groom's suite, accessible through a separate entrance on the property. The chapel is well-lit and was arranged in a way that created the perfect, intimate setting for our vow renewal. The garden patio served as a stunning backdrop for our family photos and allowed our guests to enjoy cocktails and appetizers in what felt like an old English countryside. Can we talk food? There are few crimes greater than going to a wedding and being disappointed by lackluster, cold, stale, unseasoned dishes and watered-down libations. And this was certainly NOT the case at Milton Ridge. Ronnie spent quite a bit of time with me on catering selections to ensure our menu was perfect. I had some particular requests to satisfy our party guests, a blend of well-traveled Brits as well as local Marylanders. Our time was well-spent as the food was outstanding! As an homage to my husband's British heritage, Chef created several curry dishes from scratch. Ronnie invited us to a luncheon a few weeks prior to the reception at which time we sampled Chef's creations. He prepared two chicken curries (one Indian, one Moroccan) as well as a vegetarian chickpea dish and chutney. All of the entrees were lick-the-plate delicious! And my mouth was agape while watching my typically carnivorous husband devour the chickpea dish!! I'm fairly certain that was the first and last time he'll consume a garbanzo bean :) Party-goers raved over the flavorful curry buffet and I'm so delighted we were able to go "off-script" to offer this option to our guests. And as native Marylander, I can honestly say the crab ball hors d-oeuvres were some of the best I have ever eaten. Additionally, I provided Chef with a family recipe for our favorite "Orange Crush" cocktail; they were perfectly prepared and hit the spot on a warm June afternoon. I would be remiss if I did not call attention to the exceptional service our entire party received at Milton Ridge and I have a few examples that truly highlight our experience. As most Brides do, I spent nearly all of the evening circulating the room and chatting with guests. At one point, I lost track of my handbag and was searching for it. One of the Milton Ridge servers, Rhonda, must have read my lips from the across the reception hall and brought my bag to me. She also prepared a plate for me as she realized I neglected to eat during the reception. Lastly, one of the other servers tracked-down some much sought after chocolate milk for my daughters so they could participate in the champagne toast. In summary, I highly recommend Milton Ridge as venue of choice in the Washington Metropolitan area. Much of what made June 25, 2017 so special for us was Ronnie's attention to detail and all that Milton Ridge has to offer.

My now husband and I had our wedding at Milton Ridge. It was very much love at first sight with this venue. Adorable white chapel, big reception area, outdoor area, and a bridal cottage! What wasn't to love? Chef and his staff were AMAZING....
Everyone including our friends with special diet needs had great things to say about the food. Our cake made by the paco ktauk ryreception we used through the venue was delicious and completely beautiful. The only problems we had were with Tracy. She is incompetent, and also dishonest. She changed her tune about EVERYTHING as soon as we signed the contract, Telling us not to worry about what it said because we spoke about it. Two weeks before the wedding Tracy did a number on us so badly we had to cut back on a lot of things we would liked to have had. We had a normal little mishap and a member of my bridal party went to find her....She was playing on her phone. When she was asked to help with something she acted like it was her first wedding. She was awful. If this venue was ran by someone else I would highly recommend Milton Ridge.

To say Milton Ridge was a “great” wedding venue for our daughter and our new son-in-law would be an understatement. “Perfect” would better capture how their wedding day went at Milton Ridge. The newlyweds and their 100 guests were all treated...
to a truly special event which was all orchestrated by the very talented and dedicated Milton Ridge coordinator, Tracy Lynn Brooks. Tracy is simply the best wedding coordinator on the entire planet. Period! From the first time we met with Tracy and every time afterwards, whether in person or through emails, she had only one goal: to make our daughter’s wedding an exceptional day. And there were no unforeseen surprises. The wedding ceremony itself was expertly performed by the very warm and loveable Fr. Rob who could not have been more perfect for the newlyweds. Everyone said what a great job he did. The floral decorations of the chapel and reception hall exquisitely captured our daughter’s wedding colors of hot pink and orange. Laura and Kerri of Event Plus Design gave the same attention to detail as Tracy. They did a great job working within our budget and making many excellent recommendations which only added to the splendor of the day. The catering services also first-rate as the hors d’oeuvres and entrees were superb. Many of the guests commented on the excellent selection and quantity available. The entire staff was also professional in every sense of the word. As for the venue itself - the Bridal Cottage, Historic Chapel, and Reception Hall – all exceeded our expectations, as the newlyweds were treated to a wonderful (and worry-free) day that they will cherish for a long time. Having the chapel and reception hall adjacent to each other on expertly managed floral grounds was nothing short of wonderful. An odd coincident is that while living in Damascus MD, we must have travelled past Milton Ridge hundreds of times on our way to shopping and dining in Frederick MD and we never realized it was a wedding venue. Now, whenever we pass by Milton Ridge on our way to Frederick, we will look over with a smile, remembering our daughter’s perfect wedding day. Thank you Tracy. Thank you Milton Ridge.

al months after putting down a deposit we were told that MR couldn't find the check, and the language they used made it seem like they suspected we had never sent it. Luckily we photocopied every check we sent and had a dated copy. Easily solved, however, by sending another check... - We used their officiant, guitar player, and make up artist. Our officiant two weeks before the wedding told us he had never been given our date from MR (even though we'd talked on the phone months earlier). Luckily, he didn't have other plans. - Expect to call or email at least twice, sometimes three times before getting a reply to any questions. - MR has an unusual catering approach for plated dinners where you choose 2 entrees and everyone gets both. We were initially told guests could choose to have only one or the other, so our invitations were printed to reflect that. A day before the wedding we were told that wasn't how it worked, and even those guests who avoid beef would be getting both beef and fish on their plates. Neither our officiant or the wedding coordinator made any effort toward anything about our families: multiple references were made about my mother, who passed away 20 yrs previously. Not something you want to repeatedly explain on your wedding day. I am not a small girl, but MR provided an embroidered short robe for my wedding day in an extra small. If you can deal with this sort of poor attention to detail, you will be able to have a beautiful event here. But forewarned is forearmed. I would go somewhere else if I had it to do over.

We had our wedding at Milton Ridge (MR) in September 2012. We got engaged in November 2011 and were eager to find a venue asap since places fill up so quickly. Milton Ridge was on our long list of venues to visit and we knew after the first t...
ime we saw it that it was the one! The venue was clean and neutral making it very easy to match any theme you want. No need to try and match antique carpets and tacky red curtains in a large ballroom; MR was simple and elegant and could go along with ANY color combination you want. To make our lives easier, we used MR's Chapel, Cottage, Reception Hall, Photographer, DJ, and Pastor and we were VERY happy we did. The vendors associated with MR are professionals and when you use MR vendors, Tracy, the MR “wedding planner”, will assist you with ensuring everyone arrives timely and everything is perfect! We would have used their flowers and cake as well except we did these things on our own. And everything came out perfect! I must admit in the beginning I was a little nervous (as every bride is), however, the day of Tracy really took care of everything. She set up all the tables and the decorations in the chapel which was an enormous relief for us. She has an eye for decorating so trust her judgment! She will make it look beautiful! The Pastor (Pastor Lee), DJ (DJ Fela), and photographer (Beth Chomas) were incredible. I received tons of compliments on each one of them and they really made our day even more special! When comparing MR costs to that of other venues it came out to be about the same. Yes, little things cost extra (extra $ for champagne), but the cost was still completely doable. They have chiavari chairs which are standard (up to $5 extra at other venues!) and their linen choices are beautiful. You could make MR as expensive or inexpensive as you would like, but the food quality is excellent and the professionalism of the staff can’t be beat. I would highly recommend you use Milton Ridge as your wedding venue, you won’t regret it!

When the day of the wedding came the setting was very calming, us girls got to hang at the bridal cottage all day next to the pool. It was stress free. The boys had so much fun before the ceremony also hanging out in the chapel's loft and relaxing. The food was better then any wedding food I have ever had, and many guest told me so. ngland, we used quite a few of the vendors provided by MR. All of the vendors were excellent, & worked very well together on the day of. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue, I can’t stress that enough. The major pluses: The venue itself is so beautiful –classic Maryland – exactly why we chose it! The food – it was fabulous! & there certainly was plenty; all of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The crab cakes are the best EVER. The waiting staff – they were attentive & friendly. The DJ (Fela) – he was so great & really kept the party going. The cake (Shary) – it tasted amazing & looked great. The pastor (Lee). He was so warm & friendly; he was very accommodating to our civil ceremony. Hair & Make-Up (Jody) – She is very chatty but EVERYTHING about the hair & makeup was perfect. We had left some things in the bridal cottage after the wedding, Tracy went out of her way to get them back to us, we were very grateful! A few things we had trouble with (not things that ruined the day, but could have made our lives less stressful): MR is sold as an ‘all inclusive’ wedding venue with a wedding coordinator, but it’s not. Basically, you contact Tracy (the wedding coordinator) who just gives you the details of the vendors she uses. Then all of the coordination & contact is left to you. I was sorely disappointed on this point, & left a bit frustrated since I chose MR for this reason. Luckily, most of the vendors were such a pleasure to work with. Melissa (flowers) was the only vendor I had trouble with. I was so frustrated with her lack of response to my emails that I decided to only order my bouquet (which was beautiful) from her, & did the rest of the flowers with the help of my amazingly talented friends. The catering staff were fabulous throughout the meal, I don’t want to fault them. After the cake cutting the staff put out our cake, because we were so busy chatting /dancing, we didn’t get a chance to try it until later. When we went to sit down we realized they had cleared it from our seats before we even had a chance to eat it. I was really quite upset about this. Communication/Coordination - many of the emails I sent to Tracy were often delayed, half answered, or never answered. I found that if I called her that things worked out much better. We had to regularly chase Tracy for invoices up until the week of the wedding. She never voluntarily gave us one; we had to request them multiple times. I just thought this was really bizzare. While we were still getting our hair & makeup done- a process I think is quite intimate – Tracy/Jody had scheduled in 2 other girls to have a hair & makeup trial for a future wedding. My photographer had to dodge them! Everything aside, the only thing that really upset me on the day was the cake. Tracy is a very friendly, warm woman when you meet her face to face. I think that the pre-wedding communication & organization at MR leaves a bit to be desired; the day-of organization was great. We wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day (It was AMAZING – although too quick!) & certainly don’t regret choosing MR;our guests had an amazing time! We just thought that we better let other people know the ins & out of our experien

pel isn't quite as nice for pictures, but the rest of the venue makes up for that. The old bridal suite has gorgeous walls and a front porch perfect for pictures and the newer reception hall was great. We used a few of the vendors that Milton Ridge recommended. Pastor Bill was fabulous and made the ceremony very personal. We were also happy with DJ Fela. We had issues with both the florist and cake vendor that Milton Ridge recommended. Both were difficult to get in touch with, unresponsive to phone calls and emails and caused a bit of a headache. We went with other vendors due to this and I believe since then Tracy has added new vendors to her list. Additionally we did not feel we were a good fit with their photographer and choose to go out on our own. Tracy is very helpful and would respond to email, but does have a lot going on. Due to this there were details left up until the last week. All that being said the day of Tracy had everything looking spectacular and everything went off perfectly. We would absolutely recommend Milton Ridge.

anning and enjoyed every second of it, from the food/cake tastings, meeting the florist, and the many visits we made, everyone at Milton Ridge made us feel special and I had zero stresses or worries. My wedding weekend was magical. My wedding wasn't until 5pm, but my bridesmaids, my mother, and I arrived at Milton Ridge at 11am and spent the day in the private bridal cottage relaxing and getting beautiful for the big day. It was a really relaxing memorable time with the favorite women in my life; many venues don't offer these accommodations on site. They also took me on a tour of the venue that afternoon to see the flowers, chapel, cocktail area and reception set up. The flowers were AMAZING, exactly what we asked for and everything was fresh and beautiful. Lisa did an amazing job on all the floral arrangements and we couldn't believe how affordable she was to work with. Shary who works with Milton Ridge also did our wedding cake.... we had two because we added a grooms cake... we also requested a gluten free cake because of my dietary issues. Shary was so accommodating and the cake was DELICIOUS! All of our guests commented on how amazing the cake was. In fact my husband and I broke tradition and after we returned from the honeymoon we ate the whole top layer of our saved wedding cake because it was so yummy. The cocktail area and reception location were set exactly to our specifications and looked beautiful. The food was delicious as well. My husband and I attended 8 friends’ weddings leading up to ours and our friends said how our food was hands down the best! I received so many compliments from friends and family who attended our wedding. Everyone felt like the second they step on Milton Ridge's property they were in a beautiful secluded location and they loved that everything was in one area and they didn't have to drive between the chapel and reception. After exchanging our vowels our guests got to dance the night away... it was such an amazing day that I wish I could do it all over again. THANKS MILTON RIDGE!!!

when the day arrived the florist sent flowers that were very limp and appeared half dead , not fresh at all.The Kissing balls for her bridesmaids were sparce to say the least. It appeared the florist had ran out of flowers lots of styrofoam was showing. The flowers on the top of the cake had fallen off the stem. And it looked like a stick poking from the top of the cake.(More Like Nightmare before christmas).Far from classy and really not worth the price paid. The tables however and the church were decorated tastefully .The cake from the cake vendor offered at Milton ridge was crooked and very apprentice like. Not appearing to come from a professional baker. It did however taste wonderful. We paid for 100 slices of cake and only had 60 guest. When the cake was cut no one was invited to have cake. The bride and groom never received a slice of the cake as the mother of the birde I had to complain to have the cake served to the bride and groom. There was not enough cake to go around and not every guest received a slice.Which was very perplexing as we had paid for almost double the serving as wehad paid for 100 servings with only 60 guest. As the Mother and Father of the Bride we had to search for a piece of the cake.We also hired the viedographer from milton ridge; he left early not even staying to capture the full reception. He did however stay at the begining and sat and ate dinner and converstaed with our photographer whom we hired from the outside;our outside photographer i would like to mention stayed from start to finish.Whe I asked the weddig coordinatoor at Milton ridge why the vidoegrapaher left early they could not supply an excuse. We had no set contract however and there were no contracted times. If we had been told he would leave early if we did not pay 100 extra dollars and hour ECT...Maybe I would have understood but this was not an option he did not even say he was leaving. We were not exactly working with a budget to plan we pulled out all the stops for our daughter. We could have searched for cheaper prices from outside vendors. We wanted her day to be very special.I also would warn about the DJ Fela he plays his music very loud and lots of RAP.More like a BAR or a Dance Club. Not exactly a DJ for a wedding. If you like this however he would be the one to hire.Myself and several of my guest had asked hm to turn the music down and play something more approriate and guest friendly he ingnored request and at the end of the wedding acted like I had never said anything at all.I Guess it really did not matter to him he had been paid far in advance. Many of our guest left early because of his unprofessional ability to cater to the guest versus his own taste for music. My husband had asked him to play our wedding song so we could have one dance ourselves. It wasnt until our daughter (The bride finally asked him at the end of the wedding that he finally played our song). In the end our daughter is Married the wedding is over and any buyer regret is far from the course. As her day cannot be returned.I will say however their catering service is wonderful and their workers on site are very curteous. They have a beautiful grounds to be married. The Minister was a delight.Their make up artist was well wort

started crying.  The candles, the scent of all the flowers, the flowers themselves were just amazing.  it was just like a scene out of Gone With the Wind - all of us getting dressed.  All of us took a peek at the chapel (gorgeous) and the reception hall, too.  When I saw the cake. I started to cry again.  Just beautiful.  And with all of the tables, tablecloths, pumpkins, etc. in place just so spectacular! Lining up outside the chapel was just magical.  We were all very calm (even me).  And we were so glad that the Milton Ridge photographer took the time to take the important group pictures that do take time but everyone is so glad to have.  I loved the ceremony. The food was beyond fabulous!  So so so so so good.  Please tell Chef that it was just so memorable-over the top fabulous.  I heard compliments from the potatoes to rolls to the cake.  The cake, by the way, was so moist and delicious. The D.J. was wonderful.  He just had everyone up and dancing and the different segments flowed seamlessly.  Everyone raved. And please, send our utmost thanks to everyone involved - the chef and all his staff, the bartenders, the waiters, the cleaning staff - and everyone associated with every aspect of the wedding.  All of you (and you, tracy, at the top of the list) are truly professionals (truly) in every aspect of the word.  From the first day when we came to see everything - to the absolute last moment when we said good-bye on the porch (very meaningful to me) - all the guests gone - Bruce was "wherever" and just me and Tracy talking about how the wedding "went".  I wouldn't change one single detail.  It was just spectacular and supplied a lifetime of wonderful memories.  Everyone loved the intimacy of the whole thing, the beauty of the buildings, the landscaping, everything.   So hope you can tell that we were truly overjoyed.  I can't thank Tracy enough.     I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I'm not kidding.   This hardly comes close to how special it really all was and how truly WONDERFUL Tracy  made the whole occasion.........I can't believe that when we came to meet Tracy  for the first time it was about May, 2010!  It seems like five minutes ago!!!!!!  And I did really mean it all.  I loved all my girl's weddings but I can truly say (and Bruce fully agrees) that this was the absolute best one - so beautiful (all of them) - but yet the best quality by far was how warm the whole thing was.  Just beautiful - simple elegance from start to finish.  I NEVER worked with anyone like Tracy  - her patience is amazing - and your attention to every detail can't be surpassed!! It was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! it really worth the $50/plate for a buffet and not all you can eat? A lot of the details of this venue were not disclosed unless we pushed for a direct answer from Tracy, the manager/owner. Getting in touch with her was easy through email, but when asked more than one question, she didn't seem to know how to respond to multiple questions. She does not have the business sense to run an establishment of this magnitude. She was extremely unprofessional and kept putting us off (2 days before the wedding and she hadn't told us what we needed to be paying for our final catering bill?). We requested the DJ to interact with our guests, he didn't AT ALL. He was extremely rude when asked to turn the volume down (we had some elderly guests) and he was very rude and said, "I only take orders directly from the bride"...even my day-of coordinator said she requested numerous things from him and he was not cooperative. Our Cake Lady (Milton Ridge's Vendor) did not decorate our cake as we had requested and deisgned. It looked really sloppy and the tasting was better than what our final product was. The bar was supposed to be outside because we wanted to keep guests outside and enjoy the beautiful October night. Instead, Tracy ignored this request. They have a stink bug infestation which was promised to be extinguished by a professional before the day of our wedding...my parents still have stink bugs coming out of the wedding decor in the basement. In the end, we had a beautiful day. Only myself and my mom noticed the little details missing or not done correctly. But, from one bride to the other...this is NOT worth the hassell and frustration.

Ridge advertised themselves as a comprehensive wedding venue, we booked nearly all of their services except for the cake. The catering was AMAZING. Hands down the best wedding food I've ever eaten. Amy Sievers, the photographer, was a blast to work with. Jody, the hair stylist, took FOREVER to get the hair done, but she created masterpieces! Now, the bad: Tracy, the Wedding Coordinator, is the most unorganized person I have run into in the wedding industry. She double booked services at the venue (don't believe their claim on The Knot that they only have one wedding a day), because of a variety of excuses ranging from her computer crashing to being on the road and not having a schedule in front of her. It was difficult to communicate with her, as I must have tried at least 4 times for every question I had, which was usually met with a quick response of, "I'm on the road, let me get back to you," and was never followed up on unless I pursued her again. She was unapologetic for all of her mistakes and instead told me that she was "Sorry I chose to be angry." She refused to speak with us and we had to send in my now in-laws to resolve how we were going to get the services we paid for. The "Reverend" Roger Fair: This man makes a business out of marrying people. He has no genuine interest in them. He did not require us to meet him before the wedding day, so I set up a meeting. While we were less than impressed, we were stuck since we had already booked him in the contract. We should have chalked up our losses from the very beginning. During the rehearsal, he was quite rude to me and my family, and refused to perform a few ceremony details we wanted to personalize our wedding. I don't know what sparked his horrible behavior on the wedding day, but after a multitude of just completely RUDE incidents (locking my sister and 6-year old niece out of the chapel and staring at them from inside the chapel while they waited in the 45 degree rain for someone to bring them an umbrella, watching me struggle to get a golf umbrella open so it wouldn't shake water all over my dress while one hand was full with my train and the other was holding my bouquet, etc.), I spoke with him and told him that since he was under my employ for the day, he needed to be more helpful. He hissed at me that if I said one more word to him he would walk out (this was 10 minutes before the ceremony). My father came unglued and told him that he should never EVER threaten a bride like that. He said again that he was leaving, so I told him he could go. We delayed our ceremony about 45 minutes to allow enough time for an ordained member of our party to get a ceremony plan together. During this time, Tracy couldn't be found, until one of the bridesmaids remembered seeing her go up a set of stairs to the attic in the cottage. They found her up there on Facebook, completely ignoring our wedding. Even knowing that we are unhappy customers, Tracy's only reaction is to try making us feel bad for feeling this way. We might feel a little forgiving if she said, "I'm sorry my actions caused you pain" or "I'm sorry I was not as attentive as I should have been."
