From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations. Meaghan and Moriana were incredible — attentive, organized, and on top of every detail. The food was delicious, and our guests raved about it all night. Our officiant, Kurtis Cross, brought such warmth and professionalism to the ceremony. The DJ kept the energy up and even handled a last‑minute intro song change without hesitation. And the cake… absolutely amazing. The bakery gave us so many flavors to choose from during our tasting, and the final result was both beautiful and delicious. Everything was smooth, well‑planned, and stress‑free. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Milton Ridge.

as frustrated with my experience with them. To start food was beyond amazing! No complaints!! It was the one thing that was delivered EXACTLY as advertised! Amazing!! The climate control buildings were great! There team was flexible with changes and did work with us when it came to changing the lay out of things or details of our day! Very kind and did not make me feel guilty about any requests. Where I had major frustrations was the wedding coordinating. I regret not hiring someone outside of the venue to help organize day of!! I paid extra for set up and tear down, & coordinating. However, It took long to hear back from my coordinator and I had to bring up timeline requests, when should this thing take place? Hey we are two months out when do I booked this place for a rehearsal? Hey I haven’t heard from you the wedding is in 2 weeks is there any details you need from me that we didn’t go over. I was very much ontop of things, but waiting for emails back, waiting for guidance if my requests could be possible. It was painful! So many people asking questions that Incouldnt answer because I was waiting on a response from my coordinator. From very obvious timeline things, down to very small details. I’m very organized, however day of, it all went out the window because they were not attending to the timeline or my needs they were setting up decorations. Which this was not told to me till the week before the wedding. They either need more staff or to not advertise as having a coordinator. In no way did I feel supported day of! Family members stepped up to help, friends ran around looking for things that went missing. Things we discussed never made an appearance (very small example- we had a audio book they had to plug in and turn on, it was hidden under the table because they didn’t know how it worked even after we discussed it… also it literally only has an on button very easy to see). I was incredibly frustrated when I dropped my decorations off the day before the wedding. Flower pots had dead flowers in them (I got married in May). The white fence had bright yellow and brown mold all over it. When we toured in the winter we were told they had maintenance staff that kept things up to par. When I requested those things the day before the wedding they said they’d do that…. they didn’t. My mom ran out to Lowe’s to buy flowers to plant in the pot. If you don’t want to kept plants in them just don’t have the pots out at all. It was the fact they were dead and not kept up well that I had an issue with. I found my dad sweeping leaves and dirt off the main steps so the bridesmaids and I didn’t ruin our dresses. I wouldn’t care if it wasn’t something we discussed in winter and we paid for the highest package. I felt like dispite asking these questions ahead of time. My concerns were pushed off and told of course we have staff for that, you don’t need to worry about this it’s your day…. yet none of those things were taken care of. It left my friends and family to do the work when that’s the exact reason we paid for the diamond package. Very disappointed with the expectation they set! I say this to hope things change and not discourage from booking but know what your spending your money on and things to consider.

From the very beginning, our experience with this venue was disappointing. When we arrived for our scheduled tour, we waited approximately 20 minutes before anyone greeted us. Once...

someone finally came to meet us, she didn’t know who we were or even the year of our wedding, despite us providing that information when scheduling the appointment. During the meeting, we explained our vision for our October 2025 wedding. We also shared that incorporating my Puerto Rican culture into our menu was extremely important to us. We were told that their caterers could “pretty much do anything” and that we would be able to customize the menu with Puerto Rican appetizers and entrées. We also informed them that we had hired our own wedding coordinator. We were assured that this would not be an issue because they regularly worked with outside vendors. When it came time to sign our contract, we were quoted a completely different price than the estimate we had received. We later learned that the consultant had mistakenly provided us with 2024 pricing instead of the 2025 pricing even though we repeatedly stated throughout the meeting that our wedding was in October 2025. When I brought this to the attention of the venue director, I was met with attitude rather than understanding. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, I was told I would have to pay the higher rate. It took my wedding planner stepping in and advocating on our behalf before the venue finally honored the original quoted pricing. Throughout the year, communication was difficult. Questions often went unanswered for days, and when my coordinator reached out for information or clarification, she was frequently met with resistance rather than cooperation. One of our biggest disappointments involved the food. We specifically chose this venue because we were told the menu was highly customizable and that incorporating our culture would be easy. As planning continued, we learned that wasn’t true. The only customization we were ultimately allowed was one appetizer. The flexibility that had been presented during the sales process simply wasn’t available. We also encountered unnecessary difficulties because we chose not to use the venue’s preferred vendors. While we had been told during the tour that outside vendors were welcomed, that did not reflect our experience during planning. On our wedding day, things did not improve. Our coordinator had to push just to gain access to the reception space so she could finish setting up in less than two hours. Throughout the day, no one from the venue checked on us, asked if we needed anything, or made us feel like valued clients. We felt like just another event rather than a couple celebrating one of the biggest days of our lives.Several of our guests including myself and the groom were also denied drink service despite not being intoxicated. At the very end of the night, the only interaction we had with venue staff was being handed a gift and told we were receiving a refund check. When I asked how much it was, I discovered the refund was for one dollar. After everything we had experienced over the previous year, that moment honestly felt insulting. The most disappointing part of this experience wasn’t the pricing issue, the vendor restrictions, or even the communication problems. It was the overall feeling that our happiness as a couple simply wasn’t a priority. We never felt supported, appreciated, or cared for throughout the planning process.

ay. Meaghan played a very important role in communicating with us and guiding us throughout the entire process. She made everything clear and stress-free. Moriana was also very hands-on and supportive. On our wedding day, all we had to worry about was staying warm and smiling for the camera! Our wedding may not have been perfect, but we loved everything about it. Our guests enjoyed the food, the cake was delicious, and the DJ kept everyone entertained. Our photographer, Feldy, was patient and amazing to work with. Ken, our videographer, was also incredible. HMUA transformed us to pretty. We even received our photos and videos a little over a week later, which we were not expecting at all. That was such a wonderful surprise! We are so thankful to all the vendors and organizers who made everything possible. We couldn’t have asked for more. Planning a wedding in just one month felt risky, especially during the snowy season, but Milton Ridge made it happen beautifully. Despite the thick snow and cold weather leading up to the day, we were blessed with beautiful weather on our wedding day. We truly felt blessed and are so grateful to Milton Ridge for accommodating us and making our special day unforgettable. 💛

the final moments at our reception, the team (especially Meaghan and Catherine) went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. Their communication was responsive, thorough, and thoughtful—even when we had unique and challenging requests, such as minimizing waste and plastic for a more sustainable ceremony and serving a kosher dinner. They handled all of it with ease and never made us feel like we were asking too much. Meaghan was incredible, responding to long lists of questions with grace and clarity, updating documents promptly, and offering proactive suggestions we hadn’t even thought of. On our wedding day, we were able to truly relax and enjoy ourselves, knowing we could trust the team to handle everything behind the scenes.They took care of our many guests with very complex dietary restrictions, handled our custom drink requests, and the entire flow of the day was seamless. We held our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, and the setting was fantastic—elegant, natural, and just right for our spring celebration. The reception hall was a good size for our ~125 guests. After dinner, we pushed aside serving tables to open up the space for everyone to dance and it worked perfectly. It was a bit tight for everyone to do the Hora early in the night, but we made it work. We had so much fun, and a huge part of that was thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the Milton Ridge staff. We would absolutely recommend this venue—especially to busy couples who want a beautiful one-stop-shop with expert help every step of the way. As soon as we arrived for our wedding, Catherine and Meaghan put us at ease by taking care of anything and everything we needed and kept our wedding day stress to a minimum. Many of our friends mentioned that their weddings were so stressful they didn't end up getting to enjoy their wedding - our experience was nothing like that! I also would highly recommend using Milton Ridge's photography team - they knew all the best spots and angles to get beautiful photos, and they kept us at ease and comfortable through all the sessions. As a bonus, we got our photos back only 9 days after our big day. The food at Milton Ridge is also fantastic. They have a huge menu of options to choose from and our guests were complimentary of everything we had selected. We are so happy we chose Milton Ridge and highly recommend others do the same.

Communications within their team (we worked with two individuals, who were both present to assist on the wedding day) and between them and the vendors they provided were seamless, and they were highly flexible in adapting our initial package/contract to our tailored needs and final guest count. They also have the most transparent website pricing we came across in our venue search, starting the whole process off on a positive note. They are true professionals who know what they’re doing when it comes to weddings and events, with incredible attention to detail (and this comes from an extremely type-A couple). We loved every minute of working with them and could not recommend them more highly!

From meeting Ronnie to Meaghan and Catherine’s execution on the day of, everything was seamless. We couldn’t have dreamt of a better day. From the set up (I didn’t expect Meaghan and her team to assist with the arch, but she did and it was so beautiful - it may not seem much but that was thoughtful), to the service, quality of food, and up to the delivery of the photos a month later was nothing short of amazing. Hopefully, when we decide to renew our vows in 2, 3 or 4 decades from now, they’d still be here to help us have that memorable moment again. Thank you, Milton Ridge!

happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

They have many services included in their various wedding packages like catering, DJ, photographer, and cake. They also have outside vendors that they work with frequently, such as hair and make-up and a florist, who are all wonderful. They are inclusive, and they are supportive of LGBT+ weddings. My now wife and I are part of the LGBT+ community, and we were treated very well by the entire team. We were able to have our wedding exactly how we wanted, and they worked with us on every detail. On the day, they had the entire day scheduled and kept us on track, which is actually so necessary and helpful on a day when you're trying to do so many things. The DJ we booked through Milton ridge, weddings by Kurtis Cross, was perfect! They also have an online portal making it so easy and effortless for planning. They also let you create your own Spotify list. The photo booth option is a must!!! The DJ had the party going all night long! Natalie, the officiant, whom we also booked through Milton Ridge was spectacular. She really gets to know you as a couple which makes the ceremony so personal and heartfelt ! The photographer Feldy was perfect!!!! He captured so many amazing moments from the day. He was so helpful and so sweet. The turnaround time for pictures was less than a week! He gives you hundreds of photo options to choose from. We also booked him through the venue. They also recommended Kat flowers for our florist and she was great too!!! Now let’s talk about the food!! The options are endless. But the food is so amazing. We had so many guests come up and rave about how delicious the food was. From cocktail hour with chicken and waffles to the main course everything was delicious. I cannot recommend this venue enough. It is simply stunning, and they make everything so convenient. You can book most of the vendors right through the venue. They really made our special day, perfect!!!

ts. The officiant did a wonderful job as well. However, my only issue was that they were receiving a shipment during our set-up time, which blocked the entrance to the venue. As a result, multiple vendors were delayed, and some even had to turn around and find alternative routes, throwing off our timeline significantly. I ended up sitting for 45 minutes waiting for my vendors to be able to enter and service me. Despite this setback, I still felt beautiful, and our guests were happy with the food and decor. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, though better coordination around the delivery would have made it flawless.

The picturesque setting of Milton Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The lush gardens and elegant architecture created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joyous occasion. The venue's versatility allowed for a seamless transition between the fusion outdoor Nikkah ceremony and the lively reception. Both day-of coordinators (from the venue) deserve special recognition for their impeccable service. They went above and beyond by working with the decorating crew, DJ, MC, and photography crew to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, their professionalism and dedication were evident. The catering was a highlight of the evening. The fusion menu was expertly curated by the on-site chef and offered a delightful array of dishes that pleased guests from both cultural backgrounds. The chef at Milton Ridge showcased his culinary expertise by seamlessly blending flavors and textures, creating a feast that left a lasting impression on our guests. There were some concerns with the demeanor of some of the contracted waitstaff towards some of our externally hired vendors, but I recognize that this was not necessarily in the venue staff's control. I would suggest that the venue's staff be more responsive and receptive to telephone communication, as well. Some matters can be better discussed over the phone. I believe the venue mentioned that we were the 2nd or 3rd South Asian wedding held at the venue, so we were glad to allow the venue to work with us on our wedding to gain experience and we would certainly consider hosting future events such as anniversary parties or a baby shower at Milton Ridge!

The wedding party suites were so unique and perfect for getting ready with our loved ones, and we appreciated that there was an option to have our ceremony outside on the patio or inside the chapel (which really worked in our favor as we ended up making a last minute change due to weather). They also offered day-of coordination and the option to book with their partner vendors through the venue at great prices. The venue's coordinators, Meaghan and Brandi, were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and walking us through planning details from the time we booked until our day. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax and really enjoy every moment because they took care of everything! We provided our own decor, and Meaghan and Brandi set everything up even more beautifully than we had envisioned. We also went with the recommended DJ and used the venue's catering/bar services as required. Our guests complemented the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the beauty of the chapel and grounds. planning process was a pleasure. I plan events for a living, and I was so happy with the venue's coordinator's attention to detail throughout the process, especially during rehearsal and the day off. I could tell she knew how important the details were to me. Emails and phone calls were acknowledged and addressed during every stage of the process. The venue is secluded, so there isn't much curb appeal, but once on the grounds, you really are in your own world. The natural landscape adds to the ambiance, and having everything all in one place is so convenient. The only hiccups were that one of our tables collapsed, but the staff swiftly reset it. IMO, there aren't enough restrooms in the reception hall for a massive group as we had one of the bathrooms malfunction, but again the staff was quick to remedy the problem. Our site visit and tasting were exquisite, and after seeing 3 other historical venues, we fell in love all over again when we arrived. The bridal cottage was a dream with all it was equipped with, and the groom's suite was the perfect man cave. If you want a worry-free experience, book Milton Ridge! I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Bathroom capacity has been an issue for years however in August we doubled our bathrooms with additional facilities available to guests for their patio ceremonies, cocktail hour and reception. The new bathrooms are beautiful, climate controlled and have already proved very popular. I am sorry we didn't get them installed in time for your wedding. The table collapsing was very unfortunate. Our table legs fold down and there must have been an issue with the locking mechanism. That table was retired immediately and next month all our tables are being replaced! Happy New Year to you both. the BEST time getting ready with tons of space. The biggest downfall of the venue is the parking- parking must be done in the shopping center next to the venue and the address for that shopping center is Hyattsville vs Clarksburg for the venue’s address. It was very confusing for guests and we had to provide directions and assistance to guests the day of. It would be nice if the venue could offer to do this for you. We were also strongly encouraged to start the ceremony at 5:30 when we put 5 on the invitations because in the chapel it wouldn't work well for guests to arrive late at all. If you choose this venue, just anticipate the time discrepancy (I personally hate to keep people waiting, but I also wouldn’t want someone missing it or interrupting the moment on accident because they got lost or were late) I would recommend this venue for smaller ceremonies and celebrations where you can directly communicate with every person about the parking and layout. We had 112 people total and it felt like we were at capacity. The food was great, the staff is overall very helpful, the pricing was good, and everything was still beautiful, but unfortunately the problems with Milton Ridge are things that are not easily changed. Looking back on our day a lot of it went with ease otherwise and it was still a dream and we had so much fun, I just want brides to know the possible obstacles to help you decide what’s best for you!

dinator ensured that staff that we had it paid for, but the staff became argumentative until we produced the contract showing we paid for it. It was a very unpleasant encounter that was completely unnecessary. The church was incredibly hot for our guests. It is not clear as to what happened with the AC but our guests were sweating while sitting in the church. During our walkthrough, we were ensured that even though it was a historic church, the AC worked fine. We told the onsite staff, but nothing was done about this. In the reception space, the only actual drinks on the bride and groom table was water. No special bride and groom drinks as previously discussed, and no champagne for the toast even though this was paid for in-advance. We had to grab glasses that were filled with champagne from a nearby table for the bride and groom to toast with. The moment was ruined. During the reception, the table linens were picked up prior to the cake cutting and dessert, at approximately 8:15 pm. This was incredibly awkward for those individuals who didn't see the paper napkins sitting on the table. Our package included table linens, not paper napkins. We were under the understanding that the table linens would be picked up at 8:30 not earlier. By picking up the table linens earlier than expected the staff gave the impression to the guests it was time to leave, and the reception was over. We were made to feel that this wedding was an inconvenience for the staff. Granted it was on a Sunday, it truly felt that the staff wanted to go home early. I can honestly say the staff was unpleasant, and clearly did not want to be working on a Sunday evening. I am very disappointed by the service that was rendered on Sunday at our event. I felt that I fulfilled our end of the contract but the staff at Milton Ridge did not. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen a different venue.

dividually. Setting up the outside bar is one of the last things our caterer will do and so it is of no surprise that the bar was not in place when the wedding party and outside planner arrived. That was over 3 hours before the first guests were due to arrive. We do not leave alcohol unattended. We do not want drinks getting warm in the August heat. The outside bar setup was listed on our internal documentation. The team member that was asked about the bar setup was not responsible for setting it up and had just arrived for work. The wedding coordinator that was brought in, was not aware of our processes and that naturally caused some confusion. Our chapel is climate controlled. This wedding took place in August. When the outside planner and guests propped the doors open it didn’t take long for the cool air to escape. Our in-house planners did request the doors be closed, however, this was overridden. The AC system is effective, however, it can take a little time for the temperature to return to more comfortable levels if the doors are left open for an extended period. Since the ceremony was short, there wasn’t time to re-cool the space. The doors to the chapel are self-closing and so this isn’t usually an issue. For the champagne toast, the catering staff pre-poured champagne for the guests, as was requested by the couple. The bartender kept a champagne bottle for the bride and groom chilled over ice to be poured at the appropriate time, as stated on the event timeline (approx 6:45pm). The father of the bride made an unplanned toast at 5.40 pm in place of the planned blessing. This toast occurred one hour earlier than was stated on the timeline. As a result, the champagne for the bride and groom was not in place. The bar team followed the timeline. The outside planner did not inform the bartender or any of the catering team that there would be an earlier toast. Cloth table linens and napkins were provided to all guests in the colors requested by the bride and groom. When guests place their dirty napkins on top of their empty dinner plates, this indicates to our catering team that they would like them to be collected. The tablecloths remained in place until the end of the reception for all tables. Dessert napkins were left for the guests, in plain sight, next to the desserts. Finally, the bartender had to stop serving several guests due to their intoxication. The staff were accused by multiple guests of stealing personal belongings. All of those missing items were found by the end of the evening by their owners. These accusations were very made in a forceful and inappropriate manner. At one point, the Milton Ridge event coordinator and the outside planner had to have a private word with the father of the bride. His treatment of the staff was unacceptable, to the point of being abusive. Multiple members of the catering team were visibly shaken and upset by the shameful treatment they received from multiple guests. The behavior witnessed was something we have fortunately never had to deal with before. If anyone felt the catering staff seemed unhappy to be working, this was a direct result of the treatment they received from those attending. We are a professional event venue. Our caterers have a fantastic team that works hard for every event, regardless of the day of the week. Beyond what happened that night, we do wish the couple the very best for a long and happy life together.

as taken the guess work out of planning your dream day. They show their prices upfront and even have a list of preferred vendors with their prices if you’re in a pinch. We were having a hard time finding a vendor and they made recommendations and checked their availability to help with the planning process. Of course, you can use your own vendors but the pricing upfront was an easy way to help us gauge the average cost. Meagan met with us and emailed us throughout the planning stages to assist. As someone that had no idea what I wanted, she offers suggestions on what your wedding day timeline could look like. The same was true for our ceremony. With everyone looking to you for answers, she is there with the guidance you need to make your vision come to life. The day of the wedding, we arrived prepared to help with set up but she and the Milton Ridge team took care of everything, leaving us to enjoy our time in the bridal and groom suites, which are seriously the cutest. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this venue and cannot recommend them enough!!

Ridge was a no brainier. The chapel provided an elegant location to exchange our vows without feeling overly religious while the reception hall was an amazing back drop to dance the night away! The bridal cottage and grooms suite provided more then enough space to get ready for the big day and had amazing photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend splurging on the photo booth as well. My guests LOVED it! What really made everything amazing was the staff!! From the wait staff to bartender to Meaghan! Speaking of Meaghan, I can't put into words how wonderful she is!!! Everything was planned to a T and she made sure everything came out perfect! She brought my wedding vision to life!
