st choice in where I purchased my dress. Yvette was so sweet and accommodating throughout the entire experience leading up to my wedding date. I purchased a Maggie Sottero dress through a trunk show they hosted, and every-time I walked into their shop, I kept seeing this dress and remarking on how lovely it was, before remembering that it was the exact one that I picked. It was definitely meant to be! Their team hemmed and fitted my dress perfectly. They were so reassuring even when I was worried it might be too tight… they were right that it would relax a bit through out the wedding day. They know their craft! They steamed it beautifully and made every encounter at Mimi’s a pleasant and uplifting one. The dresses they carry are all so elegant and beautiful! I also purchased a veil and hairpiece through Mimi’s and received SO MANY compliments on how gorgeous the clip was. Needless to say, Yvette has wonderful taste, is so kind, and I’m going to miss our interactions! Without a doubt, buy a dress from here. Buy a hairpiece from here. You have to go here!

They had a great selection of designers, they allowed my few friends and family to join, they were patient with me and listened to what I liked and disliked about all the dresses I tried on! once did I feel like I was treated differently because I didn't purchase my dress through them. I knew from my initial appointment to receive a quote for alterations that they had my best interests at heart and were going to take good care of me and my dress! Their attention to detail was astonishing, little things that I would have never thought of were clearly explained and discussed with me from the cut of the armpit comfort when taking in the sides to the type of hook or button used in my bustle. They were kind enough to help me take a video to show my out of state matron of honor and mom how to bustle my dress and included tips and tricks! My alterations were done beautifully, including very intricate beading that had to be removed and then placed back on the dress. I looked and felt my best! I have since returned to Mimi's for my gown cleaning and preservation.

A special shoutout to Rachelle for putting up with my indecisiveness and working tirelessly to create 3 BEAUTIFUL sleeve options for my big day. understand why! Their sales people are experienced and are like a family. They want to work with you and your budget for you to get the dress of your dreams. I wasn't persuaded to try on something I was not interested in or something that was hundreds of dollars outside my budget. There was no pushing and it was great! I also want to mention, for those of you who are looking for someplace like this - everyone we talked to at Mimi's was LGBT friendly and no one batted an eye when my soon-to-be wife and I walked in both looking for dresses there. They don't have any lesbian wedding photos on their website, which made me a little nervous going in, but don't worry! They are totally cool and we didn't run into any trouble.

I had lost a considerable amount of weight between purchasing my dress and the date of my wedding, and the ladies of Mimi's flawlessly tailored my gown to make it the perfect fit for my big day! I had not wanted to wear a veil, but after my now husband insisted I have one, I discussed my options with the ladies at the shop. When they discovered they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, Rachelle custom made my veil to be EXACTLY what I had hoped for- and it was the perfect accessory for my big day! I am honestly sad my wedding is over as I no longer get to spend time with the ladies of Mimi's, who made my wedding dress experience one I will truly cherish for the rest of my life. I tell everyone I know, once you're ready to find the gown of your dreams, Mimi's is the ONLY place to go!

they had a good selection of designers in the "nice-but-not-ridiculous" price range. I wanted a dress shopping experience (and dress) that felt more personal than a Big Box Store like David's Bridal, but I didn't want to spend my whole wedding budget on one dress. Mimi's is in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. The interior feels cozy and intimate, and the staff make it feel very personal. You really have your consultant's full, undivided attention during your appointment. The dressing rooms had a lot of privacy and I felt like I could show off dresses to my family and get their opinion without having to worry about random opinions from strangers or drama from brides in the other dressing rooms. It felt like we had the store to ourselves (even though it was bustling with other brides.) My appointment was with Najla who was incredibly helpful. She was knowledgable and professional and able to give some constructive advice about what styles would look good on me, but she wasn't too pushy. Mimi's had a lot of variety of dresses and Najla encouraged me to try on a lot of different styles and helped me narrow down dresses I liked best. Eventually, I found "the one" -- the dress that really felt like me. It was such a beautiful dress -- elegant, but just a little playful. Najla suggested a long veil to go with it, and it was the perfect touch to complete the look (also really fun for the photographer!). I got so many compliments on it on my wedding day. Mimi's sized me correctly and the dress arrived well in advance of the big day-- it fit me perfectly with almost no alternations (I had the straps taken in slightly and a bustle added.) The dress was extremely high quality, and looked a lot more expensive than it actually was. I had thought dress shopping would be a big ordeal, possibly having to go to many stores and spend multiple weekends trying to find "the dress." It turns out we were done by lunchtime, and I spent the rest of the afternoon with my family eating at Zingerman's and window shopping in downtown Ann Arbor. I am a very satisfied bride.
