Will NEVER go back to this place. I went with my friend for her wedding for pedicures. Not only did I not have the length of pedicure that was being paid for, but the person doing my pedicure didn't understand what I wanted. In the very end she figured out what I meant after telling her 4 times and the end result being wrong. She did fix it but then charged me $10 more. Ester was very rude and said that b/c I eventually had everything changed and it was correct, it was an extra $10 b/c I got French tip. No one told me or I would've just left it alone. No one there would let me speak to a manager or higher up on duty but was ready to call the police over $2 that I didn't have after paying $80. I finally had a "manager" call me back and she was very rude also. Cut me off while I was trying to explain the situation and told me they don't do refunds and that it was my responsibility to know that it was $10 extra. They don't care how long things take its the fact that I eventually got what I wanted and I should know the prices. The manager even told me that it doesn't matter how I was treated either...it's that they want the money and that's all. I was so embarrassed beings that I didn't have the $2 and then the fact that they were going to call the police. Ester stated she wasn't "allowed" to call the manager/owner about the issue. I just can't believe how rude those are that I've interacted with at this salon. I've gone before but there's never been any issues. After this experience though I will never go back. The manager also told me that the owner doesn't deal with clients. So you're telling me that the owner doesn't allow employees to call with an issue during business hours AND ONLY cares about them getting paid? They don't care about how youre treated. As long as services are rendered that's what matters to them. The manager on duty even said so when I asked?
Worst experience ever. Daughter went to get her nails done for her engagement and they turned out awful. They wouldn’t return my calls when I went to complain and now say they don’t have a manger to resolve it. Look on google review for the horrible results. Don’t risk your special day.
Very disappointed and outraged about how I was treated yesterday. My friend booked a pedicure for both of us, so naturally we should've been serviced together. They seat us, and service her, my tech walked off without saying a word to me. While my friend is enjoying her pedicure I am still sitting there ten minutes later with no service. I went up front to complain, and the receptionist basically passes it off as maybe the tech did not speak english to communicate that with me, and they were just seating me so i could soak. I told them that was no excuse, and my friend is being serviced so why is my service different. Eventually a man comes over and begins my pedicure but constantly stopped all the way through the pedicure. I am disgusted by the amount of prejudice towards me. African American people should be treated like any other of your customers. I will never spend another dime in your establishment. Shame on you
I've been coming to Minabella for some time now and I've never had a problem until now. I took my picture into the same nail tech I always go to - Tommy. He always does great work and I'm not 100% sure where the confusion was but the salon was of no help to fix it. I showed him a picture and told him I want it in dip. Come to find out he apparently decided it couldn't be done in dip and had to use acrylics - I did not understand him when he said this as I never use acrylics and would never in a million years paid $85 plus $20 tip for acrylics. Long story short 6 days later my first nail popped off on my beach vacation in Cancun. And I was so shocked like I didn't even know dipped nails fell off. I've been getting dip for 5 years and have NEVER had one fall off so quick. So I called minabella and was like omg what's happening I just paid $105 and they pulled my ticket and said well you can come get new acrylics done or get 30% of what you paid back. 🤔 Exvuse me? Umm I didn't even want acrylics to being with and neevr said I did?! I never even once said please put acrylics on my nails. They lifted almost immediately and they absolutely 110% were not worth $85. They manager Esther was horrible and wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that I paid and asked for dipped nails and got acrylics. Shane on this salon as we all know they make enough money! They could of very easily said come back in and get what you asked for which was dipped nails not acrylics. Idek who would choose acrylics over dip but that doesn't make any sense. My nails have now all fell off. When I got them done two weeks ago today. But this picture was 9 days after I got them done.
Do not go to Minabella Beauty Resort ever!!When they did a sloppy nail job and I called them back for another service or a refund the lady said she won’t refund me and asked me to take off my review. When I said no I won’t take it down, the lady Makala Paczosa who’s supposed to be a manager/owner at the salon threatened me and said I know you work at UP and one of our owner’s works there. The call was recorded and she basically threatened me that you’d lose your job if you don’t take the review off! I will complain to the police, but be careful guys!
Horrible. Staff are very rude and the place was a mess! Whatever instruments they used for my mani-pedi must have been dirty because I got a bad infection on my right toe. I had an infection during my honeymoon! This was a gift from my parents to look extra special for my man on my special day, but it turned into a painful experience.
Came here as part of a wedding party. We booked for 16 but 11 showed up, we called the salon 2 hours before our appointment to let them know we would have less as the 5 that didn't show bailed last minute. The owner then decided she was going to keep the ENTIRE $125 deposit from the bride. When booking the salon, we were told the $125 would cover the brides nails and she would get whatever was left over, but this was not the case. Being the maid of honor and that it was the day before the wedding, I asked to speak to the front desk. I asked if the bride would be able to receive half of her deposit back. That seemed to me to be a fair compromise, over half of the party showed up therefore she should receive half of the deposit back. If nobody showed up, then it would make sense to keep the whole deposit. The owners sister told me that I was being ridiculously because they usually make over $3,500 on a Friday night, and with the extra technicians they needed for our party, we essentially were causing them to lose money. I was livid. The owners sister told us that they were losing money on us so there was no way the bride would get her promised deposit.
We should've walked out right then, but against my better judgement I gave the salon a chance. They treated the bride horribly. They sat her by herself for her pedicure, she wasn't even sitting with the wedding party. She had to ask multiple times for the champagne that was promised, and she ended up spending $200 with the deposit and her nails. My nail technician told me she wouldn't do any designs on my toes so I could just do a solid color, and she also refused to do any callous removal.
Now, after being told they had brought in extra staff for our party, they didn't have enough people to do our nails. Two of the bridesmaids had to wait for over 30 minutes to get their manicures because they were understaffed. And because of this, they were still getting their nails done at 8 pm, when the salon closed. As we were waiting for them to finish, they turned off the lights. We found it to be incredibly rude that they were behind due to being ill prepared, despite the fact that there were less people than expected, and had the audacity to turn off the lights while we were still there. Horrendous.
In the end, the bride spent $75 and got $25 of her deposit back after I relentlessly asked the owners sister. Mina would not talk to me. The bride as well as a bridesmaid left bleeding on their feet from their pedicures. The rude receptionist, Rebecca, smugly handed the bride her $25 and told us to "next time show up", and there were two dogs humping one another in the lobby.
I wouldn't recommend this salon to my worst enemy. We came here on a recommendation from a bridesmaid and she was incredibly apologetic about the overall horrible experience. Most salons would want the bride leaving feeling special and excited about their special day, this salon did not care about the bride whatsoever. She left in tears after the receptionist's rude comment and they did nothing about it.
Never set foot in this salon. The owners are among the most greedy and rude business owners I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I will never be back, none of the bridal party will ever be back.
