We are so happy that we chose Minnesota Valley Country Club as our wedding venue! We booked prior to the renovations in the spring of 2024 which made the venue even more beautiful on our wedding day. The photos do not do the place justice. The natural light was so beautiful pouring into the space. Patricia was so helpful throughout the entire process, answering our countless emails leading up to the big day. We were able to bring our decor and other items to the venue prior to our wedding day that Patricia helped set up for us which took a big weight off of our shoulders. Patricia and her staff made sure we had what we needed throughout the whole day. So many guests gave raving reviews of the food. Would totally recommend to anyone!

Patricia is incredibly knowledgeable and helped us make decisions we didn’t even know we had to make. She worked with us to schedule a food trial when my family was in town from out of state and allowed my husband and I to have a slightly different food order than the rest of our guests. There are a few things that really put MVCC over the top. First, they allowed us to decorate the day before our wedding – this took so much pressure off the wedding day itself. Second, they packed up all our décor after the event and allowed us to pick it up the next day. Third, they coordinated with our other vendors to make sure they were fed, things were plugged in, and basically anything you'd need to do to make sure our reception ran smoothly. Fourth, they communicated throughout the planning process, allowing us to change our minds when necessary, and making sure we were on track with our planning process. Fifth, during our reception, all the staff were professional and quick. Everyone raved about the food, and the pacing was perfect.
The experience we had working with MVCC was phenomenal, and well worth their reasonable price. I would highly, highly recommend working with Patricia and MVCC.

She helped turn my vision of what I wanted for the venue into reality and it was so beautiful I was so relieved and happy that they were trustworthy to make vision reality! The night of staff were so helpful and if they didn’t have an answer they found it out and reported back! The venue was just beautiful all around and we are so happy we found this gem of a spot!
Food was good and service was fast. Only unfavorable comments were that the golf cart driver wasn’t super attentive and when taking us out to the bridge for pictures started driving before my husband was seated, which could have been a disaster if I hadn’t screamed…. Food aspect was also disappointing because we couldn’t take home leftovers. I know it’s not their fault and is the city of Bloomington I guess, and I’m sure it was our fault we didn’t inquire earlier, but still disappointing, I mean technically we paid for it…

A few specific things that stood out to...
us as absolutely spectacular include:
Patricia Mullen's attention to detail - she knew exactly what to ask, what to suggest, and how to direct us to be prepared for our wedding day.
Patricia Mullen's communication - she was so kind, excited, and professional, and we can only describe it as “on-the-ball” in all of her communication.
The wait staff - we were so impressed by the thoughtfulness and attentiveness of the staff. There was someone with us to take us to the bridge for an additional photo spot, the wait staff was kind and quick with ours and our guests’ food, and they even saved us a couple snacks from cocktail hour!
Turning over the room - we were so thankful for the team both pre-setting up the venue to help our family, and cleanly taking down all decorations in the same day.
The care and attention given to the venue grounds were incredible. We were blown away at some of the recent building updates and the grounds were perfect as we took our pictures at the bridge.
THE FOOD - we thoroughly enjoyed our food and heard from multiple people how they loved their food. The bride's uncle who smokes meat for his main hobby said that the beef was the best he’s ever had, 3 family members could not get enough of the meatballs, and another friend said the mushrooms were the best they’ve ever had in their life. The food was so good!!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and Patricia, the Director of Catering, was just the best - always making sure we had what we wanted and that everything went smoothly. It's a beautiful venue on its own, so I loved that I didn't have to worry as much about decorations. The food was amazing, and guests commented to me about the excellent service they experienced. le occasion. After meeting with Patricia Mullen and the rest of the planning group for a tour we knew this was the right location for us. Patricia's responsiveness was well above par and her expertise in setting up the location and how to flow through the night made our end of the preparation easy and removed SOOOOO much stress from the location side of the planning. I can't even state how beautiful the views of this location are either there are so many fantastic locations for photos on the grounds and we had so many compliments on the views and scenery from guest. To top this off the Chef (Who's name I've very sadly forgotten) prepared what is quite simply the best food I've ever had at a wedding and our guest continued telling us this for literally weeks after the big day was over. The staff themselves were also constantly on the ball I personally never ran out of a drink and they were readily attending to needs I didn't even think to worry about until they brought them up they were ahead of the curve and due to this we and our guest left the night happy without a single complaint.

We had 250 guests at our ceremony and reception at the country club, which Patricia was able to walk us through the space, provide us extra detail and answer all of our many questions. It was plenty of space for a larger wedding and a very easy location to get to off of Highway 100 for guests to get to. We had so many compliments on our food at our wedding, the space was beautiful and clean, the golf course was lush and green, the staff was friendly and professional. We had asked Patricia check with the Head Chef if it would be possible to custom make an Asian-cuisine dish that wasn't on the menu, and the chef whipped up this amazing Bronzini fish and sticky rice dish that was delicious! The service, food and setup was all wonderful - definitely exceeded our expectations! We were also able to get in the day before to decorate, so we didn't have scramble the day of. When we got to the venue, everything was already set up and ready to go - it was stunning! Rick, the head bartender, and Cynthia, the Banquet Manager, were very helpful and accommodating the night of. ts. No outdoor ceremony area and no one in the wedding is allowed outside for pictures other than the bridal party on the bridge for photos. The lady who was to help us did not seemed thrilled to have us, rushed us and we did not get a very welcomed feeling at all. I wouldn't end up booking this venue even if I liked the space due to the interaction with employees.

Patricia, the Event Coordinator, is very friendly and great at helping. She was very responsive and followed up with us promptly. She was clear on the service and catering choices.
Let me say that everything we had for our tasting was exceptionally phenomenal. It was so hard to pick from all the food we tasted, but we did finally pick :). Everyone who selected filet mignon complimented how the filet was perfectly and evenly cooked (medium rare) all across the tables. The walleye and the French cut chicken are amazing. All the appetizers are so tasty and delicious.
Cynthia and the banquet staff were friendly and so organized.
We could not be happier than this. They exceeded our expectations! This is probably the best value of quality/service and price that we looked at out of over a dozen venues.
We highly recommend MVCC to anyone looking for a classy, elegant, and phenomenal venue.

The food was pretty good, although we were a little disappointed that the chicken penne pasta didn't taste as good at the wedding as it did during the tasting. Everything else was just as good though. Something to watch out for is if you need your hand held during the process, don't pick this site. The catering manager, who is also the person you work with to figure out all the logistics of using the reception area, rushed us through a lot of things. To get an idea, the first meeting I had with her, she talked so fast that I only understood half of what she said. If you are ok with asking a lot of questions and being persistent, then I think the deal you get here is worth it, but if not, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
