Oh man, where do we even start to talk about how incredible Christie and her team are. Honestly, we couldn't imagine our wedding without MEP by our side. Planning a wedding in New Orleans all the way from Las Vegas we quite the challenge, even for a native, like myself. But Christie made it easy. She helped us take one task at a time and her planning site gave us manageable tasks to do in a digestible time frame. When it came to our actual wedding day Christie and her team were ready to handle anything that got thrown their way. They handled our family drama with grace which allowed us to be able to celebrate in peace. We are so appreciative of all of the hard work she put into our wedding and so thankful for all of her help and support. If you are planning a wedding in New Orleans from out of state, Christie is your girl!
Christie, Hailey and the whole Mise End Place team were better than I could have ever imagined! I was planning my wedding in New Orleans from out of state and having an expert like Christie gave me so much peace of mind. I worked closely with the team on various planning elements leading up to my wedding date. They were always responsive to emails and calls and made time to see me when I visited for a weekend. When I had a booking snafu just a few weeks before the wedding (thought I paid a deposit, hadn't and lost the furniture rental), Christie called the company herself and got it all taken care of.
The day of the wedding, everyone was BEYOND organized, I felt like every little detail was taken care of so I could just enjoy the day. From having the right kind of pen to sign the marriage license, to texting with the photographer about timing so I didn't have to be on my phone, to making sure my change of shoes were available right when I needed them, they literally took care of everything. I cannot say enough good things about this team. You will not regret booking Mise End Place for your wedding!
Mise En Place Events saved our wedding! Christie and Hailey are more than wedding planners, they are superheroes! Planning a wedding during the pandemic was a feat in itself. Throw in going through two caterers, three cake bakers, two wedding planners, and the loss of a family member. Needless to say the odds were against us and many people thought that we were crazy for continuing to push through. A month before our wedding I was unable to get in touch with our original wedding coordinator. I knew Christie was a wedding planner, so I reached out, explained my situation, and she was game! I could hardly believe it! A month before the wedding and she was absolutely certain we could still make it happen. And WE DID! Once Christie and Hailey took the reins I knew I was I good hands. They were perfect combination of personable and 100% professional- prompt response to all communication, went over every detail in our in-person meeting, walked me through navigating their software, and even reached out to me during my time of loss. On the day of they were there from beginning to end, everything fell into place (pun intended), and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Mise En Place Events really does make dreams come true! Our Day was absolutely perfect. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
I had the best experience working with Christie and Hailey for my wedding. Their planning software is top notch and kept me on schedule leading up to the big day. Christie was so helpful and was willing to meet with me as needed. This service is worth every penny you will thank yourself and literally feel the stress leaving your body each time you talk to them because they know what they are doing and they do it well!!
Mise En Place was both our wedding planners and therapists through our COVID wedding. Christie and Hailey are as professional as they come and would come so prepared to every meeting and helped us navigate this crazy world. They were so incredibly helpful with navigating our options and helping with our small ceremony this year and preparing for our larger one next year. We are so happy to continue to work with them through this next year!
It’s no wonder that MEP has won Best of Weddings awards the last three years in a row. Christie and Hailey were our wedding day saviors! Like so many others, we had to postpone and reschedule our original July 2020 wedding. They helped us navigate all the little odds and ends in planning to get us to our day. Communication with the two of them was always super fast and easy. From the start they were helpful with vendor recommendations, the timeline, and in general keeping the pace during planning. As seasoned pros, they know the industry inside and out and could offer us a perspective that we couldn’t get just reading online vendor reviews or general wedding planning guidance.
When they say their mission is to help you have a FUN, stress free day, I can personally attest. On our wedding day, sweet Hailey handled a family incident with so much professionalism. I heard horror stories from my bridesmaids about the exchange that took place—Hailey nor Christie ever mentioned it, and just tactfully moved forward and made sure my groom and I were none the wiser.
Christie and Hailey kept us on time, managed our bridal party and two families, and ensured the entire rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day went off without a hitch! We truly had the best day ever, and couldn’t thank the two of them enough for the primary role they played in managing it all!
When my now husband and I first got engaged we thought oh we can do this on our own! Our venue actually required a wedding planner/coordinator and oh my goodness thank goodness they did! If you could imagine a destination wedding in the year 2020 is stressful and if it wasn’t for this amazing team I would of lost it! Not only did they make our day so magical and easy but they were a genuine joy to work with! Christie and Hailey felt more like really organized guests we have know forever and invited who were just on top of everything when something went wrong, cause let’s be real it’s a wedding and things do go wrong. From sewing up my bridesmaids dresses all night, getting me whiskey when everyone tried to pour me champagne, and just dealing with my diva Groom this entire process I could not think of anyone else we would of wanted to be such a big part of our day (we even made them get in some of our pictures with us we loved them so much)! We can’t wait to have another life event or party in NOLA so we can hire this amazing team again!
There are no words to fully express our gratitude to Christie and Hailey for ensuring that our big day was everything we hoped for and more. Having no idea what to expect or how to prepare for a wedding, we were so worried that things wouldn’t go according to plan, especially my mom. Hiring the pros at Mise En Place was the best thing we could have ever done. There are so many little details involved in a wedding that you would never even think of. They are organized and have the most helpful worksheets to help you get things in order. Christie and Hailey have weddings down to a science and are cool under pressure… especially when a pandemic is taking over the world. We had our wedding on March 14th which was right before COVID-19 really blew up. Days before the wedding, we had quite a few guests cancel, and I was freaking out. I immediately called Christie and she put my mind and anxiety at ease. She contacted all the vendors to ensure that they were still “on” for our big day. Most importantly, Christie and Hailey are two of the kindest people that we have ever met. They are an absolute pleasure to work with and they build lasting relationships with their clients. I see frequent Instagram posts from Mise En Place wishing their clients a “happy anniversary,” or “congratulations.” Mis En Place isn’t for 8 hours or a month, but for a lifetime. Weddings can be so stressful but it is so important to enjoy the process, and more importantly, your big day. Mis En Place will allow you cherish the moment with your significant other on your special day which is what it is all about.
I am the mother of the bride ! Christie’s prompt return phone calls and quick response to all my voicemails and emails ( which were several ) speaks volumes to her organizational skills! She gave my husband several awesome leads for transportation as well as other vendors ... and she also was patient with us as we had to add several ( i think it was 26!) family members the day of the wedding in the family seating and she didn’t bat an eye & kept things moving ! She is calm and approachable and positive and organized !! Our bride is 29 and had her own vision, and so Christie helped us stay up to date with any details we may have not known. I would say I am super picky so giving her 5 stars is a big deal !
Amanda was so wonderful to work with! She helped organize all the details of our wedding so everything went perfectly! She also had so many creative ideas and solutions when problems arose.
Working with Mise En Place Events made our wedding an absolute dream - and we would not have been able to have such a perfect day without them! My husband and I are based in NY, and were nervous about planning a destination wedding in NOLA form afar. That said, we knew from the very first call we had with Christie that we were in great hands, and signing on with MEPE was the best investment we could have made for our wedding. Amanda was such an amazing resource throughout the entire planning process! My husband and I would have been quite lost without Amanda's advice, tips, and insights along the way. In the weeks leading up to the big day, the entire MEPE team stepped in to make everything come together seamlessly. They worked with all of our vendors on timelines and logistics, and even coordinated our rehearsal - all of which we would not have been able to navigate on our own. On the day-of, they were absolute rockstars! MEPE even handled day-of snaffus (we had some broken cake plates and vases, chilly weather, etc.). That said, you wouldn't even know we ran into any obstacles - they took care of everything. What was also so impressive was watching Christie walk the entire second-line parade backwards to direct and crowd control! :)
These few points are only a handful of the amazing things the MEPE team covered for our wedding. It was so so nice to be able to breathe during our wedding week, knowing we were in the best of hands to manage our entire event. My husband and I were able to actually ENJOY our wedding day, and focus on us, and the entire reason we were truly celebrating that day! And for that, we couldn't be more thankful to the MEPE team. I now know what a “celebrity “ feels like. Amanda made sure that Suz and I felt spoiled. We literally had nothing to worry about because they managed every detail so that the entire evening went seamlessly! We highly recommend them as the highest quality wedding planners for your big day!
We cannot rave about Christie and Hailey enough! They made our dream New Orleans wedding a reality!!! Mise En Place totally understood our vision and connected us with wonderful (yet affordable) vendors. They were always available for questions throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding, we really didn't have to worry about a single thing. If you're planning a wedding in or around New Orleans, hiring them is a must!
Mise En Place was awesome to work with. We worked primarily with Amanda who was incredibly sweet and very helpful. The day of our wedding Christie and Amanda were both there with their assistant making sure everything went smoothly. They made sure all of the vendors were where they needed to be at the right time. Everything was completely stress free with them there. They were able to communicate last minute changes with the photographer after the ceremony. They kept everything on schedule and made sure my husband and I were able to have a great time at our wedding!
Christie and Amanda were amazing and absolutely necessary to have helping out on our wedding day! We hired them for the day-of package, which meant I was doing a lot of the leg work up until about the month of, but they were there to help me with any questions or concerns and provided general guidance any time I needed it, which was super helpful! The month prior to my wedding, they took the reigns when it came to timeline and contacting vendors to make sure everything was in order. On our wedding day, they made sure everything was in its place and that the day ran smoothly. I know they worked their asses off to make sure the event was perfect and for that I am so thankful. Christie and Amanda are just sweet people in general, too, and it was a pleasure working with them. Super happy that we chose to Mise En Place Events!
We hired Christie Chopin Roueche from Mise En Place Events as our day-of coordinator for our wedding, and we are so glad that we did! We wanted to plan as much of the wedding ourselves, as we wanted our wedding to be a reflection of who we are as a couple. However, this was the first time either my husband or I had ever planned an event of this size on our own, so we knew we needed help. Each consultation we had with Christie leading up to the day was EXTREMELY productive. We went through every little detail, and she even brought up points we hadn't even considered. She is so creative and greatly talented at her job. She puts so much energy into her brides. It was very easy working with her, as she was very responsive throughout the entire process.
Fast forward to our wedding day, between her and my day of personal assistant Hailey Aertker (who was such a sweetheart all day), I felt extremely accommodated for!! I never had to think about any of the logistics of the day. They made all my requests seem like no problem, which eased my nerves greatly. Any request we had, she incorporated. Everything flowed so smoothly, and neither myself nor my husband had to worry! All I had to worry about was having the time of my life. Thank you so much for everything, Christie and Hailey- you made our wedding the best day ever and I would recommend you guys to every bride!!!
Christie and her team were absolutely wonderful. We used their Event Management service. Christie was great at taking over all the details that I had planned and made sure everything was finalized and coordinated for the wedding. She was extremely organized and helped answer all of my questions and random emails during the planning process and even let me shipped a few things to her house in the week or two leading up to the wedding as I was from out of town. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch and I know that was all because of Christie and her team. They made it so that I didn’t have to worry about anything that day and carried out of all our details. We also had a desert table of homemade cookies that Christie set up and it was absolutely stunning. Just one of the many ways Christie and her team went above and beyond that day. She was a life saver for me during this process and my only regret is not getting the larger package and bringing her on for the entire planning process. Use Mise En Place for your wedding and you will not be disappointed.
It was a pleasure to work with Mise En Place Events. We came all the way from Switzerland to get married in New Orleans. Mise En Place Events did an amazing job. We could absolutely enjoy our wedding due to the great organization of Mise En Place Events. We could highly recommend Mise En Place Events for the planning of your wedding.
Christie and her team are a must for your wedding day! They take so much of the stress off of the bride and handle every obstacle with ease. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is in its place just like you envisioned. When we had some last minute weather concerns, Christie was super responsive and helped me feel calm knowing that we had a backup plan in place! I couldn't imagine our day going as well if we didn't have the Mise En Place team!
We opted for month-of planning since we did a lot of DIY and didn't initially know if we even wanted a coordinator. I was concerned about the timing of our second line between ceremony and reception but Christie was able to talk with our band and it was great! We had some day-of curveballs that Christie handled so well that I didn't even have time to worry about it. Highly recommend MEP for your wedding day, they made everything smooth sailing and worry-free!!
I have always thought of wedding planners as a "nice to have"; now that I have gotten married, I can say they are the MOST important vendor and a "MUST HAVE". We planned a destination wedding in NOLA. We had the pleasure of working with Amanda (who is amazing!). We scheduled check-in calls, she kept me on track with my to-do list, and gave me advice along the way. I consider myself a worrier, but the day of our wedding was completely STRESS FREE and seamless. We didn't have a single glitch our entire day (and if we did; we didn't know about it then and still don't lol). It was a beautiful event that still has us smiling ear-to-ear; and it is all thanks to MEP. Choosing MEP was one of the best decisions we have made, and we are beyond grateful for all the work they did in helping us plan and enjoy our big day!
This is such a late review but I keep thinking I need to write this because they were the absolute best. My husband works in the wedding industry and couples always ask us for advice. I always say booking day of coordination was the best decision we made. I have seen numerous coordinators in action but Mise En Place is one of the best. Mise En Place made our day run so smoothly and they made it look effortless. Everything from setting up center pieces to making sure everyone was where they needed to be they kept the day flowing. We had a little photo shoot at Cafe Du Monde and they went in and got us past the line getting us the cutest table and some of my favorite pictures of the day. They also had the center pieces set up and torn down for us. It was an amazing relief because I made my own center pieces and had not way of getting them to the reception. I would not hesitate even a little to spend money on their coordination skills. They were worth every penny and if I planned another big event in New Orleans I would book them over and over again. I can’t thank them enough!
Amanda and Mise En Place were AMAZING. I'm so glad we worked with them to plan and execute our wedding. Despite my years of event production experience, I quickly discovered that wedding planning is a unique world: it made so much difference from the beginning to have advice from a trusted source about vendors, timeline, and flow. They were invaluable throughout the process, but they were ESSENTIAL during the month-of and day itself. I can't imagine what would have happened if they hadn't been there. They wrangled our guests (including explaining an unfamiliar Quaker service and dealing with some difficult family members), organized *every* detail including things we didn't know to look out for, fixed disasters (including a dress disaster and a cake disaster), managed the entire flow of the day and evening, troubleshot deliveries and decor, arranged everything beautifully, and held our anxious hands. We are so grateful and would hire you guys a thousand times over.
Planning a wedding from across the country was incredibly challenging and I was on the fence about hiring a day-of-planner, but I am SO happy that I did and that I went with MEP. I spoke to a few different companies before MEP, but as soon as I spoke to Christie I knew that they were the perfect company for me. She hooked me up with Amanda and my wedding planning immediately became 100 x easier. Amanda was responsive (even to ridiculous questions), helpful in finding vendors, and kept me grounded throughout the process. She even took time to meet with my parents when they came to New Orleans to visit. On the day of the wedding, Amanda and Hailey were a DREAM. I had so many guests tell me that they wish they had hired day-of-coordinators once they saw how smoothly everything was going and how amazing the MEP team was. Hailey even risked her life blocking our parade route so that we could still second line even though the police didn't show. Hiring MEP will be one of the best decisions you will make! I can't thank them enough for making our day a success.

Christie is a miracle worker! She and her expert team gave me every tool and piece of guidance necessary to plan my dream wedding—it seemed daunting until I started working with Christie. They were there every step of the way with recommendations, guidance, availability to discuss, and streamlined the entire process of securing and negotiating contracts by handling so many of the details for me and for my mom. They were always warm and supportive, and offered expert insight into the process, and helped brainstorm some really special touches for my wedding—and made sure absolutely no detail was forgotten. On the wedding day itself, Christie saved the day on more than one occasion, as my bridal party and I kept encountering small hurdles—needing a hand held steamer, or tape to secure the lucky coin in my shoe—and Christie always had the cure on hand! I cannot say enough about how tirelessly she and her team worked to ensure everything went smoothly, that everyone remained happy and able to focus on enjoying themselves, and that the entire wedding was flawless in every organizational detail. We had a blast, and never had to worry about a thing—she took care of us from start to finish, and gave us extraordinary peace of mind knowing that she was overseeing the details, collecting everything from the reception at the end, and managing the vendors. Truly, she was the star behind the curtain and I cannot recommend her enough!
Christie and Mise en Place events are the absolute dream team. I don’t plan on getting married again, but I would hire her every single time and recommend her to everyone. There will always be a special place in my heart for Christie who made my dream day a reality.
I knew right away I wanted a destination wedding in New Orleans but having only visited a few times, I knew very little, especially about the NOLA wedding industry. I needed a planner. I contacted MANY planners, I spoke on the phone with dozens to learn about their style. Christie immediately stood out. She listened to my ideas, had feedback before we even hired her, and already made me feel more relaxed about my wedding day. Still before officially hiring her, I asked Christie to meet me for a venue tour at my front runner venue. Her experience and skills immediately showed. She knew exactly what she was doing, how to run a smooth wedding day, and how to handle both my mom and my anxiety (which is not easy to do). After a stressful two days of venue visiting with my mom, I called Christie in tears. Tired, overwhelmed, unsure of what to do she talked to me and calmed me down. AGAIN, I still hadn’t officially hired her, and she was already going out of her way to help me. She told me to go back visit the first venue, which I did, and immediately knew that was my venue and she was planner.
From there on working with Christie was a dream. She answered my emails right away. She took my calls when I really needed to be calmed down. She had ideas for vendors when I wasn’t sure where to turn. She helped me find the vendors I wanted to splurge on and the vendors I wanted to save on. She really went above and beyond in the planning phase. I used her planning website checklist regularly because it had everything I needed to do broken down by the month and then days as we got closer to the big day. One month out we set up a call to go through the entire day in detail. After that she called ALL my vendors to confirm and made sure all the details came together. There is so much to do month of and she helped make sure it all ran smoothly so I could focus on some fun personal details I wanted to include. I loved the wedding planning process and so much of that is due to how much FUN and easy Christie made it.
Day of her and Amanda ran the show. From the moment they got there they were busy making sure EVERY detail I had envisioned and more came together. They kept the entire day on track. Assisted with any emergencies that came up, there were a few and they handled them smoothly and quickly, so I never even knew. They came to find me for every major wedding event and made sure my husband and I didn’t miss a thing. Seriously the day was an absolute dream and I never could have done it without them. At the end of the night, all our personal items were boxed up and loaded for us, so we could enjoy our time with our guests. She even called the next day to make sure we had all our belongings and got our marriage certificate mailed.
You often hear people rave about the music, food, flowers, etc. at a wedding but usually not the planner. In my case, I have had a least a dozen guests comment on how wonderful Christie and Amanda are. They took care of not just my needs, but my guests, and made sure everything was perfect. Christie and Amanda, thank you! To all future brides, hire Christie, it will be the best decision you make in the wedding planning processes.
Christie and her team were irreplaceable and played such a crucial role in our wedding. From being there to help simplify and consolidate our wedding menu, to ensuring our day (and really the days leading up to it) went off without a hitch, MEP was a life saver. Christie was always responsive, helpful, warm, comforting, quick-thinking (because sometimes people forget they never confirmed what song they were going to dance to with their mother :-0) and confident; all things you NEED in a planner or coordinator. I would certainly recommend MEP to anyone who wants peace of mind on their big day! Both my husband and I look back on our wedding and smile because we know not only did we have the time of our lives, but our guests did, too and MEP had a lot to do with that. THANK YOU, LADIES!!!
When we first met Christie to understand her planning services, we knew right away it was a match! She has all of the qualities you look for in a planner - organized, kind, professional, and FUN!
We used Christie as our month-of coordinator, and she also completely planned our second line parade. Even though she was technically only hired for month-of planning, she did allow me to ask her a few questions/opinions along the way to tap into her experience from past weddings. She also had me forward her all of my contracts I had in place so she could review and make sure I didn't miss anything. I found this extremely helpful, and not something other planners offered when I spoke to them about rates for month-of planning. When it came to execution, Mise En Place killed it! From 30-days out, Christie was contacting vendors to confirm contracts, creating my timeline, submitting the permit for the parade, keeping me on track with photo wants and song choices, and double-checking everything. That, my friends, is worth every penny! On the day of our wedding, we didn't want for anything. She and Amanda had thought of everything, and were always one step ahead of us. Honestly, every time I was about to ask for a something, I'd turn around and one of them was there waiting for me with a drink/tissue/time check! These ladies are FLAWLESS.
I highly recommend MEP Events for all of your event planning needs. We had the best experience, and truly consider Christie a friend after all that she did to make our wedding the beautiful day that it was!
Amanda was our day of coordinator and she did a fantastic job! The thought of putting the timeline together and the day of details was just too much. But with Amanda on my side, I didn’t have to worry at all. From the first phone call, I felt the stress of wedding planning just disappear. I can’t say enough good things about how smoothly our wedding day went. If anything went wrong the day of, I surely wasn’t aware of it! I would definitely recommend Mise En Place for your wedding planner!
I'll be forever grateful to Mise En Place events for introducing me to Amanda, who was our day-of coordinator for our wedding. From the moment we began working together, I felt so much calmer than I had at any other point in my six month engagement. She had such a positive demeanor throughout the whole process while also having a keen eye for details and the confidence to make executive decisions day of to keep everything going smoothly. Amanda and Mise En Place events helped my husband and I get hitched without a hitch! 10/10 would recommend!
We have had the privilege of working with Christie twice, she was the coordinator for one of our best friend’s wedding. She was so fun to work with as a bridesmaid and as a bride! We decided to hire a day-of-wedding coordinator a little late in the game, but Christie and her team took us on and never skipped a beat! She is detail-oriented and a very efficient communicator. Her assistant Amanda was big help as well. Both were able to answer questions and give advice. My wedding day went super smooth and I was not worried about anything. One wedding guest even commented on how impressed she was that the bride’s family was not running around trying to add on the finishing touches or solve problems-Christie and Amanda had us covered! We cannot recommend this service enough! Also if you are on the fence about a wedding coordinator, I would suggest going for it. It made a huge difference the day of our wedding!
I am a native New Orleanian and I got married in New Orleans on 3/31/18. From the very beginning one of the things about wedding planning that my fiance and I agreed on was that we should hire a wedding planner. We both have jobs that are very difficult for us to leave often and he often does not have strong opinions about styling, vendors, etc. We wanted a planner with experience and relationships with vendors to give us recommendations and help us think of the little details that are often forgotten.
When we met Christie, I found out that she has a wealth of knowledge and experience and I was so happy that she shared her wedding planning wisdom with me. She gave me recommendations from an unbiased point of view but would tailor what she thought would be a better fit based off of my personality and wedding style. My preference of contact was email and Christie was very responsive and always extremely helpful whenever I emailed. We met several times and she always made sure to set these up in advance for me and we would often line up many tasks during these meetings to tackle as well as vendor meetings and site visits to the wedding reception. If you work with MEP events, you also get access to this amazing checklist of things to do which was EXTREMELY helpful.
With MEP Events, you can't go wrong. Christie is so pleasant to work with and I really enjoyed planning the wedding with her by my side. I could go on for awhile, but planning my wedding with Christie was like planning a wedding with a friend. Thank you Christie and MEP Events!!
Where do I even start?! Christie and Amanda were AMAZING! I don't know how people get married without them. We used Mise En Place for our month-of coordination, but they went above and beyond. From coordinating a perfect day-of timeline, to sewing my maid of honor into her dress after it popped open, there was nothing they couldn't do. I could go on for days about how awesome they were, but to put it in a few words, every bride needs Mise En Place.
Christie and the MEP team were an integral part of making our wedding a success. From last minute venue changes to hand-holding those “VIP” guests, her team ensured that my husband and I could stay stress-free while throwing an amazing party. It was such a memorable weekend thanks in part to Christie and her team!

Christie is so awesome! I am so glad we choose her for month of coordination. She was very responsive by email. She created a timeline with our vendors and worked closely with our venue coordinator. I wasn't sure initially if we needed a month of coordinator since our venue had a coordinator but I was so glad we did in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
She and her assistant Amanda were great on wedding day. It was great to have a go between the vendors, bridal room and groomsmen as we were getting ready and to coordinate first looks, ceremony, etc. It took a lot of pressure off the bridesmaids and myself to answer a million questions. Also, they are more affordable than several similar coordinators we looked at.

She put me (and most importantly, my mom) at ease by going over all of the details and helping us think through logistics. Christie and Mise En Place were an absolute dream to work with! Her team worked as our day-of coordination, but they really did so much more. They were organized, professional, personable, and overall a great support team. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, (which were by far the most stressful for me), they were invaluable! I handed over contracts with complete confidence, and they were able to execute a day-of timeline that helped the wedding move seamlessly. Christie and Amanda were one of the BEST possible investments we made when planning our wedding! Despite putting our best foot forward in trying to handle everything ourselves, we soon realized the only way to ensure we had the chance to experience our wedding day instead of dealing with the minutiae we worried would crop up at every turn was to hire a coordinator. Not only did the manage coordination with all of our vendors and teams; they beautifully handled the last-minute changes to ceremony location due to rain in the forecast, kept us on schedule whenever we strayed so we could accomplish everything we set out to do, made sure we had food and drink and time to ourselves to just sit back and enjoy the moment stress free, and just generally took care of any and everything that came up throughout the day, meeting each new challenge with the same smiling enthusiasm. We would not have made it through the day without them!
Christie and Amanda are AMAZING!!!! I can’t imagine my wedding day without them. They made it so much easier on me and my family and went above and beyond. I truly cannot explain how highly I recommend them. I would recommend an infinite amount of stars! They came stocked with everything we could have possibly needed and were up for any task at hand. I randomly chose Christie and Amanda a year and a half ago just based on reviews. They for sure live up to their 5 star rating. I can't believe how wonderful, supportive, caring, and flexible they were. Our wedding day had Hurricane Nate visit and Christie and Amanda did such a great job accommodating for the potential terrible weather. They helped move the wedding indoors to our reception and it turned out just as beautiful!! I could not picture a better wedding! And they bought us umbrellas for rainy photos before the wedding 🤗 We loved them. Thank you again so much!
I truly am not lying when I say Christie is an angel sent from heaven. She literally made miracles happen for my wedding, and we are forever grateful to her. Not only that, she was able to make my vision come to life on the day of. Having Christie and MEP there during the process was such a calming sense of support as an out of town bride. Christie is fabulous and worth every penny! Her attention to detail and her respect for my budget was more than I could have asked for. Christie took charge and ownership when needed and also delicately and charismatically handled uncomfortable situations so that I, nor my family, had to. I'm using my daughter-in-law Alix's know.com account to write a review I know she will applaud. I helped her and my son Bob plan their three day weekend celebration for family and friends in NOLA. From a pre-wedding celebratory dinner, the wedding itself, and a next day crawfish boil, Christie Chopin and her colleague Amanda Prazak were there. If I could I would give them 10 starts. They LOVE what they do, their enthusiasm is ever present and they impart zen-like calm which is infectious. They make wedding planning fun! More importantly, they allow the bride, the groom and their guests to enjoy their wedding celebrations stress free. Christie and Amanda made beer runs, cajoled a vendor who came on the wrong day (probably MY fault) to show up the following day, and made my grandson giggle while he watched the grown ups prep beautiful Race & Religious venue for the big weekend. These two did EVERYTHING --- and I mean EVERYTHING --- with care, attention to detail, kindness and professionalism. Christie is AMAZZZINNGGG! She did & thought of everything. In the last minute, I panicked a bit that so much could go wrong & Christie assured me that everything would be fine. It helped knowing that she was there to handle anything that came up. And some problems did pop up (as you might expect at a 200+ wedding), but she was always on top of it!
Also, Christie was always available to talk & meet during the planning process and made everything so easy. I didn't really know what I wanted design-wise at the reception, but Christie spent a lot of time sharing her ideas & giving me options. The guests were blown away when they entered the ballroom.

What would we have done without Christie and her team?! From the moment we hired her, she placed us at so much ease because we knew we were in such capable hands. She has amazing attention to detail, and she was such a calming presence throughout the whole process and my wedding day. Not only is she super responsive to all emails and questions (usually getting back to me within a couple of hours), she thinks through all the little things that I would have never thought about. I am so glad we had her as our coordinator, my wedding day would not have gone near as smoothly without her!
My daughter was recently married in New Orleans. I cannot thank Christie enough for her assistance. From our first meeting, I knew my daughter had chosen the right person for the job! It was obvious her calm demeanor, knowledge of NOLA, and "can do attitude" would make the wedding everything my daughter and her fiancé envisioned! Any time my daughter started to "stress" about something, Christie would calmly let her know that she could...and would... handle it for her. When we realized we had left the veil at the hotel 15 MINUTES before the ceremony, Christie literally RAN to meet the bellman down the street to retrieve it (after making sure we would all be lined up and ready to start the procession). She and her assistant helped with every detail during the ceremony and reception, and even transported everything from the venue back to our hotel afterward. Thank you for everything, Christie. As an out-of-town bride, I knew I needed someone to be my boots on the ground, and I'm so glad I chose Christie and MEP events. Leading up to the event, she was attentive, knowledgeable and helpful with every issue and question I had. On the day of, she handled everything with a calm and collected demeanor and never lost her cool, even when all sorts of challenges popped up. I can be a total control freak but I felt completely comfortable leaving this important event in the hands of Christie and the MEP team. They went above and beyond for us so that we could enjoy our day!
If you're in the market for a New Orleans wedding planner- or thinking about whether you even need a wedding planner- I can not sing the praises of Christie and Mise En Place Events enough! After almost a year of trying to plan a wedding that felt sincere and like "us" in the Atlanta area (a market full of barns and ballrooms- nothing that felt quite right) and feeling defeated, my husband and I decided to follow our hearts and get married in the city that we love most, New Orleans. But after struggling so much in the Atlanta market, I knew I didn't want to have to tackle a destination wedding all on our own. Enter Christie, the woman who took our barely formed idea and helped us make it into an experience better than we could have ever imagined.
From the beginning, Christie was a professional. She is delightfully friendly and was one of the only planners that I contacted that actually took the time to make sure my name was spelled correctly when sending me an email. It seems small, but it's the small details that she takes the time to make sure are right for your event. She knows her way around New Orleans like a pro. On our first trip down to feel out venues, we seemed to get a VIP tour of a ton of really neat event spaces in the French Quarter, Warehouse District, and Garden District. She would knock on doors and suddenly we'd have access to rooms and balconies that most people aren't lucky enough to ever get to see, let alone even know are there. The reception area we chose was actually the first she had in mind for us; a beautiful event space at Napoleon House that exudes New Orleans history and charm. The connections she had with vendors were invaluable- the deal she got us from a smaller town florist saved us so much money, and our flowers were gorgeous. Like, really gorgeous. And the bands she recommended blew us away. Our second line parade wouldn't have happened without her; she secured the permits, planned the route, and made sure our police escort didn't leave when our ceremony ran a little too long for their schedule. The band who played our ceremony and reception was more than perfect, but a vendor we couldn't have found on our own. Between our ceremony and reception, Christie set up a beautiful, private table for my new husband and I to take some time for ourselves, tucked a room away from our reception. She made sure we had a bottle of champagne, our favorite dishes from our menu tasting (an amazingly thoughtful gesture), and a few minutes to ourselves to take it all in. I like to joke that this our "Beyonce and Jay Z" moment because it felt so special, and we felt so well cared for. The best memories and moments we have of our day- the smell of the archway we were married under, the sweet song I walked down the aisle to, a parade in our honor with a brass band, our first dance, the best shrimp and grits I've ever had- all of these and more we have Christie specifically to thank for.
The best advice I can offer brides-to-be is to make sure you have the right people in your corner so that you can take the time to enjoy your wedding day and soak in these details that will turn into your memories. In New Orleans and the surrounding areas, there's no doubt that Christie and Mise En Place Events are the right people to have in your corner. She helped make our wedding a day we will look back on with more fondness than any other we've ever had. We can never thank her enough.
I am a band-leader and have worked with Christie & Amanda professionally on a few different occasions. There are some really good coordinators and planners in these parts, but Christie pulls it all off with grace, style & humor. She has a wonderful network of trusted vendors, and fabulous taste. While your wedding decisions are up to you, Christie can help guide you through the ins-and-outs and pros-and-cons along the way. (Top tip: trust her taste in cake.)
One of the important things about Christie and her team is that they don't bring extra stress to the day. In fact, they have a great way of just making stresses disappear. Weddings tend to have high emotional stakes for a lot of people, but I haven't seen a wedding by Mise En Place Events where the betrothed and their guests weren't having an amazingly happy time.
I've played a lot of weddings, and things can go off-course at any time : someone is late, something was forgotten, the weather doesn't cooperate... you name it, life is funny that way. Christie always has back-up plans, and rolls so seamlessly into the most appropriate fix that often times people don't even realize there was anything amiss. THAT is the beauty of the Mise En Place Events team: you are free to enjoy your wedding day. Not only host it, but *enjoy* it, safe in the knowledge that Christie and her team have got your back.

I was the first of my friends to get married and I was not the "dream of my wedding day since I was a little girl" type so I had no clue what to do when it came to planning a wedding. I moved out of state shortly after getting engaged and was very stressed about the wedding planning process. I requested information and quotes from wedding planning vendors in both Texas and Louisiana and Mise En Place Events was definitely the best value for services and price by far. After meeting with Christie, I knew she was who I wanted to work with and booked her that day. She did a great job of letting me know everything that needed to be done, keeping all the contracts organized, requesting quotes, coming up with ideas, keeping the budget, and meeting with vendors as I could not meet with most being out of state. She also put up with my late night texts and did a wonderful job of communicating with me. If you are unsure if you need a wedding planner for the entire process, I would highly recommend you book Mise En Place Events for "Day Of" services. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and the day went by so smoothly. I literally told my bridemaids that I felt like I should be doing something because Christie and her team handled all the vendors and set up and the whole day was entirely stress free for us. My husband's groomsmen even stated that our planners were so nice and great to be around compared to some of the other planners they have previously worked with at other weddings. We were able to be fully present at our wedding with our guests and enjoy our day as Christie kept everything on schedule, took care of everything with the vendors and venue, and helped our families with gathering and packing up everything after the ceremony. I cannot recommend Mise En Place enough-- in fact, my MOH ended up booking Christie for her wedding and they are the planners for my brother's wedding in Orlando next month. You seriously don't need to look for any other planners, they are amazing!

BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. I first met Christie as bridesmaid. She did such a wonderful job for my friend that I hired her when I got engaged. She is more than a planner; she is a stylist, friend, confidant, and therapist. My wedding is going to be PERFECT, and it's thanks, in large part, to her. I knew nothing about weddings, but she made my vision come to life. It was been an INCREDIBLY stress-free process. I've actually enjoyed planning my wedding! I've heard so many friends say how terrible planning a wedding can be. My advice: if you have the right planner, it should be fun! Christie is organized, thoughtful, and caring. Worth her weight in gold. Seriously! I wasn't sure if I wanted to hire a wedding coordinator, but it's one decision I never regretted from the moment of our first conversation. Christie was knowledgable, helpful and went out of her way to make sure that I and my groom were well cared-for. About a month out, I turned over all the decor we'd collected and plans for the wedding. On the day itself, I handed over the reins and had no worries. I trusted her completely, knowing it would work out -- and it did.
