We are so happy to have connected with Miss Lyss Planning for our wedding planning needs. We decided to do the partial planning package because we had already selected a venue and had a concrete vision. And WOW, Alyssa was an absolute gem! The expertise, the creative solutions, the encouragement… She is everything you could want from a wedding planner. Alyssa was by our side during the months of planning, as we worked to bring our vision to life. She was also our go-to resource for key vendors and connected us with the right photographer, videographer, DJ, and florist. Not having to independently search for vendors was a huge relief, and we knew we could rely on her recommendations. Coordinating with Alyssa could not have been more smooth. Our regular check-ins kept us on track, along with more frequent conversations in the two months before the wedding. Leading up to our wedding day, Alyssa kept in touch with all of our vendors to confirm any last minute details. The wedding day itself ran like clockwork. We put ourselves in Alyssa’s capable hands and had complete confidence in her team. She went above and beyond in so many ways: guiding us on how to make our cake design work, picking up the flowers and driving them to the venue, and assembling our centerpieces in the most beautiful and creative arrangements that literally took my breath away. There is a photo of me entering the decorated dinner space for the first time, and I’m on the verge of tears because of how beautiful everything looked. It was exactly as I’d hoped. One note about location: We live in Washington, DC, Alyssa is in Pennsylvania, and our wedding was in Maryland—none of that posed a problem for Alyssa’s team. We’re just so grateful to have had Alyssa’s support throughout the entire process, and to have the help of her entire team during the wedding itself. We had the very best day, and a large part of that is thanks to her expert work. Thank you!!

If you want to feel loved, cared for, heard, and stress free on your wedding day (and throughout the planning process), Miss Lyss are your girls! Alyssa was the wedding coordinator for one of my best friend's weddings and I was amazed by her organization and how she was able to take care of EVERYTHING on the day of. So when my husband and I got engaged, they were a no brainer. Jackie was our lead coordinator and she was just as wonderful as Alyssa! She was there to answer every question I had, offer fun ideas, and she embraced my type A personality. The forms and spreadsheets we had to fill out were so detailed and I LOVED it. They made me consider all the finer details of the day and helped me to reassure myself that I had done everything I could to be ready for the big day. On the day of, she easily took care of everything from set up, coordinating with vendors, and all the clean up. Alyssa even stopped in to see me while I was getting my hair done and at the end of the night--despite being scheduled somewhere else! Both Alyssa and Jackie went out of their way to make feel special and so cared for. There's no other planning team like them!

Very disappointed! At Rehearsal Jackie was heard saying the "F" word in front of parents and grandparents like it was part of her normal vocabulary. I was horrified! Day of wedding Jackie dropped the ball with timing, blamed the bride and walked off the job without notifying anyone. I'm absolutely speechless. When my daughter asked for a partial refund the response was "NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" from Alyssa. An apology from Miss Lyss would have been appropriate, but that was not offered either.

The absolute first piece of advice I would give someone planning a wedding would be to hire a wedding planner, more specifically, Alyssa. I know it is easy to say you can do it yourself, but let me tell you, without Alyssa I would not have kept my sanity while juggling all the other things because life keeps moving even when you are planning a wedding. Not only is Alyssa super organized, she helps keeps you organize and gives you the tools to do so. She is so kind but knows how to stay on task especially with the groomsman who is always a gamble. Our wedding went off without any delays or problems and if anything that did go "wrong" she handled without me even knowing. The other biggest thing I noticed was that EVERY vendor that we talked to that we told Miss Lyss was my wedding planner, they were over the moon happy and told us how much they LOVE working with her. Also she has the experience to help guide us to the good vendors, and everyone we worked with were some of the nicest people. I could go on and on....So if you are on the fence, I would say take the leap and hire Miss Lyss if you want a perfect wedding day and as stress free wedding planning as possible!

Jackie is a 10000/10. SO happy with this service. My best vendor and smartest thing I have done to make my wedding the most perfect day.

If you have a wedding at STONE GABLES ESTATE, STAR BARN, MOONSTONE MANOR or really anywhere you REALLY NEED HER! Lauren and I are SOOO excited! I am posting this right after our wedding! Our pre wedding day moments, our wedding day March 2023 of 170 guests which encompassed the whole Stone Gables Estate, which is massive, and was mainly at Star Barn was a dream of laughs and special moments because of Miss Lyss Planning. We also had Moonstone Manor fully booked as well for the week. Miss Lyss Planning is the best in expertise, communication, drive, tools, and energy to make the perfect wedding day. Lauren and I thoroughly researched Planners and Day of Help for our Wedding 3/25/2023 at Star Barn Stone Gables Estate. Star Barn, and our vendors expressed Alyssa with Miss Lyss Planning was the best! I was against having any planner at first but now I tell everyone it is 100% critical if you are able to get the best. Alyssa is absolutely the best and Star Barn should default add her and her team to every wedding. Some of so much that was provided to us: designed our floorplan, day of timeline, met with other vendors with us, assisted us with budget and cost effective strategies, designed our vision for the whole event based on our dreams and her expertise (elevated florals where amazing), kept us on time and organized prior and day of the wedding (even when I was an hour late to start because the suit tailor miss ordered my suit day of), handled our decorations while even provided her own for us to use, decorated the massive venue, blew up a bunch of complicated balloons and wrapped string lights around them, printed our marriage license (because Lauren and I forgot it the afternoon of the wedding day), found guests and family members needed for photos, collaborated with DJ on ad hoc music edits Lauren and I had for our first dance day of, fixed Lauren's wedding dress when it broke from dancing, helped manage my phone that was running a live stream of the wedding to my grandparents, cleaned everywhere past 11pm, made sure we had everything we needed to leave the venue, and even returned the umbrellas my family had ordered for the wedding after our wedding day! I remember Lauren and I were stressed so stressed about wedding stuff and Alyssa was just perfect. Any concern, question, or opportunity Alyssa was our ACE! We would send her email and request random phone/group call request with other vendors. Alyssa and Jackie were always moving and the value they added is unmeasurable. Because of Miss Lyss Planning my wife, our parents, and I were able to enjoy our special day worry free. Lauren and I got a ton of compliments during, and after the wedding about how amazing our wedding was. We hired Alyssa with Miss Lyss Planning for our March 2023 wedding at the Star Barn. Initially my now husband Zach was reluctant to hire a day of coordinator – he thought they would get in the way. Part way through wedding planning I convinced him that we should at least consider a day of coordinator. We met Alyssa at Miss Lyss Planning and loved her. The next day we booked her middle package – day of coordinating and planning. Alyssa was so professional and organized and her planning portal was easy to use to keep track of everything. We had multiple meetings with her throughout our planning, she was so creative and had fantastic ideas. We also got to meet Jackie, one of the lead coordinators at Miss Lyss for our venue walk through. Just like Alyssa, Jackie was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with! Alyssa designed our floorplan, day of timeline, and met with other vendors with us. We specifically chose vendors who had worked at our venue together before. Alyssa knew all of them and easily worked with every vendor. She helped with our design vision for the whole event and florals with Blossom Bliss Florals (awesome floral team!). The day of our wedding Alyssa was there in the morning and hit the ground running. She kept us on time and organized. I brought all of our decorations and Alyssa and Jackie decorated the whole space! They even blew up these clear balloons and wrapped string lights around them for our dance floor – it was a great idea and looked so good! We threw Alyssa a few curve balls the day of, she handled them really perfectly. We forgot to print our marriage license and Alyssa somehow got it printed in time for the ceremony! I also forgot to ask the DJ (Nick from Klock Entertainment – also amazing!) to cut one of our reception songs. I told Alyssa and she passed it on to Nick who cut the song perfectly. During our first dance my bustle came undone (some of the stings broke) and was a mess. Zach and I still had so much fun but the dress was kind of everywhere. After the dance Alyssa and Jackie pulled me aside and somehow fixed the bustle in no time. Throughout the whole night Alyssa and Jackie made everything run smoothly and made sure our guests had a great time. Because of Miss Lyss Planning we and our families were able to just enjoy the day and not worry about anything. After the event Alyssa and Jackie stayed well past 11pm and cleaned up everywhere, making sure we had everything we needed, and the venue was clean and organized. Zach’s mom also bought clear umbrellas to prep for rain. We didn’t use them and since his family is from out-of-town Alyssa took the umbrellas and returned them for us after the wedding! If you are having a wedding at the Star Barn or in the Elizabethtown area you NEED Alyssa and her team at Miss Lyss Planning. They were fantastic to work with and we are honestly sad that we don’t get to see them on a regular basis anymore!

Jackie was absolutely incredible! It was such a pleasure working with her and Miss Lyss Planning. She truly helped my wedding come to life. Jackie was very supportive and communicative, which gave me the confidence that I could enjoy my big day without stress; because I knew she had it covered. Miss Lyss Planning is extremely thorough, which at first was tough to input all the details together in one spot. However, this truly set Jackie and us up for success; which is why everything moved so smoothly throughout the night. Even when a blocker came up (aka we ran out of alcohol), Jackie worked seamlessly with my family to get everything taken care of, so much that I didn't even know that issue occurred. Thank you so much Jackie for being a rockstar!!! :)

If I could give Alyssa and her team 10 stars I would. I really do not have enough words to begin to explain how wonderful the team at Miss Lyss Planning is. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator for your big day, let this review be the final push you need to hire Alyssa and her team. She was there for my husband and I every step of the way. Her resources, her knowledge about literally everything, her organization and eye to detail, I don’t know what we would have done without her on our big day. Even when things when a bit crazy with our other vendors, she was poised and professional throughout it all and ALWAYS made sure I was okay throughout our entire day. We could not have had the spectacular day we had without Miss Lyss! Jackie and Alanna made our day go off without a hitch (even when our cake exploded!) Alyssa is the best from beginning to end and Jackie felt like part of the family by the day of our wedding! We couldn’t have asked for better!

You will not regret having Miss Lyss (Alyssa) help you plan your day. Her methods are a planner's dream from her useful spreadsheet to her frequent check-ins and even the assistant that she brings on your wedding day. Being a bit of a perfectionist and type A myself, she kept me calm throughout the whole process and made me feel confident that I didn't have to check on anything and could enjoy the getting ready process. Book her now as she is a gem!

Hands down the best planner to work with! Alyssa was on top of everything and allowed us to enjoy our day. From set up to clean up, to problem guests and all of the in between, it was covered. Alyssa and Alanna were attentive and made us feel like royalty. They are professional, creative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She was on top of all of vendors and made the day and evening run so smooth. Hiring her is an absolute necessity for all of your wedding needs!!

First, if you are questioning whether you need a “day of” wedding coordinator, the answer is yes! Second, hiring Miss Lyss planning is a must! Jackie was so wonderful throughout the entire wedding planning process providing frequent email check ins, multiple in person meetings, and a wealth of knowledge and suggestions. She provided great vendor suggestions and helped us every step of the way. We are SO grateful to her for her support and for keeping us on schedule the day of our wedding. It was the most perfect day and Jackie played a big part in making it everything we had dreamed!

I could not have enjoyed my wedding, day of, if I hadn't had Alyssa and her team! I am so glad I decided to hire Alyssa as my day of coordinator. I was unsure if I needed a planner but throughout the entire process, Alyssa was there, not just day of! Alyssa was very responsive throughout the planning process and the weekend of she was so attentive and just absolutely amazing at her job, you can tell she loves what she does! She helped put my mind at ease, all the planning was done thanks to her helpful resources and advise, it was time for me to relax and enjoy, they had it all under control. Alyssa went above and beyond to help make my vision come to life! I was determined to have an outdoor ceremony but the night before, this didn't look likely. I told Alyssa I would be very upset if we went with our Plan B indoors just because the glass was too wet outside. Alyssa suggested using carpets for the ceremony, she not only contacted a fellow vendor, she went to Homegoods the morning of and bought carpets for the outdoor ceremony! I can't thank Alyssa and her team enough for all of their efforts in making my vision come true and having everything run smoothly so I was completely stress free.

The ABSOLUTE BEST!!! The first thing I did when I got engaged was search for wedding planners. Miss Lyss responded not just promptly, but started asking many questions regarding my big day right off the bat! I knew immediately she was what I needed to stay stress free and create my vision! Throughout the year of wedding planning, she truly was just an email away and always responded with the best resources and support! Trying to plan a wedding while not living in the area was not the easiest, but every single vendor Alyssa shared with us was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Not to mention the venue! She truly out did herself and was so attentive to what we requested and were looking for. I could go on and on, but the day of came and she was there early and ready to go! (Literally had to tell me to stop trying to do things and relax! Lol) everything looked so beautiful and she was always right there to help me remember where we had to be and what was next. It was the most stress free, beautiful day with so much support and guidance from the amazing team at Miss Lyss! All of my guests loved them and said they want to redo their wedding just so they could have Miss Lyss help plan it! HOLY COW. How can a business be so perfect? Organization. EVERY step completely planned. She was the person I could go to with a worry and have it already fixed before I even said a word. Her planning tools, the constant intake of my questions, texts, emails, and more. She didn't even blink! So thorough it's almost scary. Professionalize beyond what I can express. And the joy she brings just by walking into a room? Incredible. Thank you for taking my hand and stepping into my crazy wedding fantasies with me! Alyssa was the real MLP for our wedding. From our first phone interview, I knew Alyssa was my soul sister and instantly booked her. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and she seamlessly brought our wedding vision to life. She was a shoulder to cry on, a warm smile to keep me calm, and the best at running interference when needed. Her assistant Erika was a hoot and like Alyssa, had magical mind reading powers. If there were any issues the day of the wedding, Alyssa and Erika addressed them and kept me stress free. In the midst of her own family emergency prior to the wedding, Alyssa ran our rehearsal and continued helping me with last minute details. I had no idea she was going through her own struggles, she was so kind and professional the whole time. Alyssa also went above and beyond leading up to the wedding helping me pick up rentals, arranged everything with my vendors, and answered any and all questions. I wish I could have MLP coordinate our wedding on repeat every weekend because we had the best time and I want to relive that day countless times!

Alyssa from Miss Lyss Planning was the best wedding planner I could have ever hoped for; hiring MLP was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding. Alyssa was there with me every step of the way and made such a stressful experience significantly less stressful. We had a backyard wedding and Alyssa asked us questions and helped us to coordinate details that we never even thought of. I don't think I would have survived the weeks leading up to the wedding without Alyssa to help me; she answered all of our questions and responded super quickly whether it was calls, texts, or emails. When it came to the day of the wedding I wasn't stressed out in the slightest because I knew no matter what happened, Alyssa would be there to handle it and make sure that the day ran as smoothly as possible (and it did!). My parents loved her and really appreciated how attentive she was to their needs, as well. Seriously - HIRE MLP!!! You will not regret it and they will make planning your wedding such an easier and more enjoyable experience. I genuinely can't say enough great things about Alyssa and her team!! They're truly incredible.

My fiancé (at the time) and I decided to go with Miss Lyss Planning as our day of coordinator at the recommendation of our venue coordinator. Before the wedding- Alyssa was so easy to talk to in the initial phone calls and laid out an organized approach for my fiancé and I to make sure we had everything planned for in the months preceding the wedding. She provided a portal which housed loads of documents for us to enter all of our wedding related information. Within this portal was also a super helpful checklist which had time ranges for when certain wedding actions needed to be completed by. Alyssa would check in with us periodically to make sure we were on track and she would field any questions we had. Additionally, she communicated with the vendors two weeks before the wedding to ensure the timeline was appropriate for all involved. All of this helped lighten the load for my fiancé and I during the wedding planning process. She was also present for the rehearsal, where she managed a large, loud wedding party (~20 people) with the utmost patience to capably instruct everyone on their duties the day before the wedding. Day of the wedding- Alyssa and her team really shone on the day of our wedding. We were amazed by her work ethic and a lot of people within the wedding party even commented how focused, efficient, and organized Alyssa was during the chaos of a wedding event. I must say I personally was very impressed with Alyssa on the day of my wedding. She was laser focused, communicative, timely and managed the vendors skillfully. Our wedding day (early May 2021) presented a unique challenge for her- there was sun, wind, hail, rain, then sun again all in the matter of 1.5 hours (of course right before a planned outside ceremony was supposed to start). She handled the situation well and earned so much respect as she bounded around the grounds in the hail and rain to move all of our wedding decorations inside for an indoor ceremony. From what I saw of her interactions with the vendors (caterer/DJ/photographers), she viewed them as a team and they all worked so well together to make my wedding day awesome. At the end of the night, she and her team packed ALL of the wedding decorations back in to boxes so we did not have to worry about it after our reception. I am so glad we chose Miss Lyss Planning to be our day of coordinator- she was a lot of fun to work with, very professional, and did so many things on my wedding day to make it even more special. If you do not have a day of coordinator or are on the fence about it, I highly suggest Miss Lyss Planning…100% worth it!
