STAY AWAY!! My wedding was 4/2/22. Megan told me that she would call the rental company to contract for chairs for a beach wedding 30 days prior to the wedding. Then told me March 25 that the company no longer delivers chairs to the beach and I would have to have someone pick them up. I asked her to get prices on different things and her answer every time was, they didn’t answer the phone. Then I would call and they picked up, every time. Megan was called out of town on an emergency on March 29th and never told me she was leaving, left nor would she be at my wedding. She did send someone in her place that had shadowed 1 wedding with her, more than 1 year ago. Megan never told me she wouldn’t be at the rehearsal the night before, nor did she text or call to advise. The person she sent to replace her at the wedding stood there until someone asked her to do something. I texted Megan to find out what the rain plan B was. She never responded. So, I emailed the venue to find out if I could do the ceremony there, etc. The people at the Bridge Street Bistro were absolutely amazing. My bridesmaids and officiant did everything! She advised she would be doing the clean up as well, that did not happen. She was supposed to help loading the leftover food into a vehicle and that never happened. Her replacement left 2 hours early and never said goodbye to anyone. Honestly, I didn’t even know she was there, so it didn’t matter. Needless to say, I have tried to contact Megan several times for a full refund and she is not responding.

DO NOT USE HER! She didn’t show up the day of wedding. She did nothing accept supply some vendor names and numbers, minimal poor contact with those vendors, and has you use a software that gives you lists to do that you create and can easily do yourself. The day before the wedding we find out that the venue has no idea there was dancing or need for a dance floor, a dessert table, or a DJ! She made the bride feel like she dropped the ball and didn’t do all the these things that she is specifically employed to do. She left on a tues or weds the week of the wedding, did not tell the bride or venue and then claimed she had an emergency the day of and sent someone else. Mind you, she didn’t tell anyone she wasn’t coming, she just sent this poor lady to deal with her mess and say she had an emergency. This lady had shadowed her once over a year ago and came two hrs before the wedding… I as the MOH had already done everything to make the day go as smoothly, at that point there wasn’t anything for the poor girl to do. She had no idea what she was walking in to. She has no experience beyond shadowing one time and “liking weddings”… like WTF were you thinking! So cruel! It’d have been easier to do ourselves as the false illusion that things were being accomplished was really detrimental to the wedding. Who doesn’t show up? And even if you have an emergency , pick up the phone and call. She deserves to be sued… I hope the post saves someone from making a similar mistake.

Miss Megan and her assistant were great. They did partial planning for us as we were renowing our vows and they went above and beyond what I expected from a planner. I would highly recommend everyone hiring a planner. When we first got married, we didn't hire a planner and now I see why its neccescary.

Miss Megan Janes has put together numerous fundraiser events for us. We are a non profit and she has made our fundraisers so stress free and has brought us a great deal of funds to keep our non profit going.

We found Megan through my best friend. She did her wedding a few years ago. Miss Megan Janes made planning my wedding a breeze. Everything was perfectly organized and looked more perfect than I could even imagine. Throughout the whole process she kept me calm, cool and collected. Their was no way I could have made it without her. We had to reschedule twice due to covid. As soon as we rescheduled both times, she continued as if nothing had even happened. I cant thank her enough for making my wedding day, a day that I'll never forget.

STAY AWAY! Booking her was by far the worst decision of our wedding planning process. Where do I start? We hired her as a Day-of-Coordinator and let's just say she was nowhere to be found! At the rehearsal, she stood in the back and did not help at all. She sat back and watched as I gathered everyone together, made announcements and lined people up. My entire bridal party asked me afterwards who was supposed to be my coordinator because Megan didn't do a thing or even speak to anyone. Fast forward to the wedding day and I honestly forgot I hired her. We took first look photos and once again, she was nowhere to be found. My photographer and bridal party all had to communicate with each other to get everyone organized for the photos. Megan did not contact me or anyone in my party to to get us in place or even come to my room once the entire day! I had to text guests to see when I needed to come down to walk out for the ceremony! During the ceremony she didn't help anyone line up (I am pretty sure she never learned anyone's names) or instruct them when to walk out. Thank goodness for the venue event sales staff, or the ceremony would not have happened! She stood under the stairs the whole time and did not say a word. And finally, the MAIN issue, she left 2 hours early! We specifically had in our contract that we needed her to stay and help break down and gather our personal items. She left after the cake cutting!! When I called her over and over to find out what happened she said "the venue staff said they would clean up"!! Yes, they clean up the tables and dishes, but they are not responsible for our personal belongings! She did not fulfill at least half of the duties we contracted her to do, and after promising us a full refund, she has ghosted us. She has not returned any of our calls and texts for 10 days. So unprofessional and not worth the headache. I was better off saving the money and paying my bridal party, who fulfilled most of her duties. We feel scammed by her and extremely frustrated that she does not even have the courtesy to contact us back after messing up such an important day for us.

I would recommend Megan to anyone!! She is an amazing planner that goes above and beyond to make your day special and perfect. To begin, she was communicative and helpful since the planning stages. She asked all the right questions to make sure she could help to the best of her abilities. On the day of the wedding, she put so much effort in to the day. She was so organized and assisting. It was so perfect. I can’t thank her enough!
