About this vendor
Our upper level Loft is most appropriate for a ceremony + reception of 30-80 guests. Due to COVID, in 2020 we moved our Brewery Tasting Room into our downstairs event space permanently. You can rent the Loft, while we remain open to the public downstairs, for a very affordable room fee. We are also perfect for a reception only, rehearsal dinner, engagement parties, etc. We do allow for full buyouts (up to 200 guests).
-----
Located in the Historic Wonder Bread Factory downtown, our 2-story taproom space offers a number of uses.
The rentable space in this listing is located upstairs to our main brewery tasting room that is open to the public. Upstairs, you'll find a floor-to-ceiling open air window with a view of the library and downtown; a stage with small PA that is available to use; cocktail tables and barstools.
The downstairs will remain open to the public unless you rent out the entire building, which is done on a case-by-case basis.
There is a unique open-air feature, so sound does carry between floors.
We can also arrange a private bar with 4 draft beers and 2 wines upstairs for an additional fee.

My husband and I absolutely loved our wedding here. The venue was so unique and perfectly suited to our laid back, craft beer-loving tastes! The building is so historic and beautiful, and working with Donna and her team was a dream.
Mission brewery is beautiful, charming, and overall an amazing venue located in the old wonder bread factory! The history and unique decor gave our wedding an amazing feel. Donna and the team were always friendly, accommodating, and helpful! The day of the wedding Donna was a lifesaver. She truly made our special day run perfectly....and yes I also had a day of coordinator. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!! Our guests keep raving about how unique and fun our wedding was and what wonderful beer we had.
This venue is dripping with charm, style, and old school elegance like nothing I have ever seen! Donna and everyone involved with Mission Brewery were like a dream come true for our wedding day. From the day we met with Donna to do a walk through, until late into the evening the day of our wedding... we were treated like family and with the upmost respect. Our feelings, thoughts, and plans were valued. And Donna was an amazing eye for layout of tables and chairs! Plus, she kept us laughing, and was a great ear for a sometimes frantic/stressed bride (haha!) Beyond that, everyone else at the brewery gave us so much love and guidance and treated our guests like kings and queens.
This is your spot for a magical, hip, and charming wedding.
Donna and team were amazing to work with. They were flexible with our schedules whenever we needed to come by and take measurements or site the space. The day of was perfect and everyone said it was a great time and the venue was beautiful.
Located in the old Wonder Bread factory, Mission Brewery Cellar and Loft is beautiful. The brick and pallet walls are perfect for pictures and created a very cozy and historic feel. We totally went with the brewery theme and had hops and wheat and a beer ceremony. It was perfect! We were nervous about our space since we had around 140 people but everyone fit and it was comfortable. We still are getting compliments on the venue. The beer selection and the ability to bring in all your own vendors is so amazing! We built the best wedding at Mission and Donna was there to help every step of the way.
The Cellar & Loft at Mission Brewery was truly an amazing venue for our wedding! When we started the wedding planning process, my husband and I knew what we didn't want in a venue, and it seemed at first that we would have to compromise on the setting for our vows and celebration. My sister and I attended the Bridal Bazaar in hopes of getting some inspiration on venue locales and we ended up leaving finding the perfect venue! I met Donna at the showcase and after chatting with her only a few minutes I knew I would love to work with her. My husband and I toured The Cellar and Loft a few days later, and the moment we walked in we knew we had found our wedding venue. Located in the East Village, it's a hidden gem, but not for long. The interior of the redesigned warehouse gave us a stunning backdrop of red brick, reclaimed wood, and steel. The raw industrial space allowed our authentic and modern Mexican theme to standout, while still being a complimentary space. In addition to the venue being incredible for any celebration and any theme; you have one of San Diego's best breweries right next door. Donna was phenomenal from start to finish; she was so easy and fun to work with! Donna went above and beyond, especially the day of the wedding...she anticipated our needs and was beyond expectations! I cannot say enough good things about Donna, preofessionally she is a dream to work with and you can tell she's an incredible human in general. The Cellar & Loft at Mission Brewery needs to be your first stop on your venue search!
We booked Mission Brewery Cellar and Loft after looking at similar spaces in downtown San Diego. The size and value of this venue was outstanding! We immediately fell in love with the industrial/modern decor of the building and were imagining all the ways we could decorate it. It is a very charming and historic space on its own, which made decorating the space much less intimidating. Our guests kept mentioning how beautiful the space was. Our wedding size was 100 and it was perfect, plenty of space, we easily could have fit more guests.
Donna was our contact and she was absolutely amazing, you can tell how hard she works at getting things just right for the wedding. She is very detail oriented, prompt and professional with emails, and is downright cool. She worked very well with the other vendors and made the process fun for us!
We really enjoyed the freedom of being able to choose a caterer without being locked down to one contracted by the venue. Mission provided a list and gave excellent recommendations for many vendors that we ended up choosing. Their beer is what is served at the ceremony. We had 7 of their year-round beers, 5 seasonal beers of our choice as well as 4 wines and champagne offered. The beers were all delicious and many of our guests came up to me raving about their beers!
Overall our experience with Donna and Mission Brewery was excellent. They were so organized and fun to work with! We would recommend this space very highly and are very very happy with our choice to celebrate our beautiful wedding here! Cheers!
We choose mission brewery as our wedding venue! After looking at about 10 different venue styles we fell in love with mission brewery. The unique beauty and style of the loft areas made our vision come alive. It allowed a classic, vintage, urban, feeling to our wedding. Every guest told me how much they loved it and would never have thought to have such an event there. Danna is amazing, she went above and beyond to care for our wedding. She really took care of us. I loved working with her. I would highly recommend booking your event here! Thank you mission brewery!!
