l worked out really well. Brenden and Andrea were fabulous and thought of every detail. The team and mission point are very knowledgeable, attentive and kind and made sure the weekend was everything we could have hoped for. We used the gazebo for the ceremony which was beautiful and we were able to use the promenade deck for the reception. It was a perfect venue. The food was great and drinks were excellent. Demar was our bartender and he was a blast as well. We would highly recommend mission point!

d never been to this resort, but we chose it because of how dog friendly it was. The resort was beautiful, the employees were friendly and helpful and everything turned out perfect without any problems. Even the weather was great, which is really saying something for our ever changing weather patterns up north. I cannot say enough great things about Jen and Mission Point. We can't wait to come back to Mission Point for vacations in the future and remember our perfect day!

When wedding day came and we had to make changes due to the weather, both of them were there to support us and help us make the decision that was best for us. Up until the last minute they were willing to do whatever they could to make our day absolutely perfect. Every single person at Mission Point went out of their way to make the experience amazing, safe and special for each and every one of our guests. From Demar making our littlest flower girls feel special with fancy kiddy cocktails, to the concierge who fixed all of our luggage snafus (sorry about that), everyone felt so comfortable and taken care of. Had it not been for the diligence of Andrea, Michaelena, and the ENTIRE Mission Point Staff we would not have felt comfortable having a wedding this year with our loved ones present, and for that we are eternally grateful. We would highly recommend having a wedding at Mission Point, and we look forward to creating many more memories here.

We could not have imagined a better day! Andrea Crawford was amazing on the day of the wedding and helped make the day perfect even with the threat of bad weather. We still were able to have our wedding on the front lawn and no rain! She helped with ensuring the flow was smooth and that we had no stress. We are so happy with our decision to get married at Mission Point and cannot wait to visit in the years to come. We would recommend Mission Point to everyone!

It has the Grand beat in so many areas - price, relaxing/not stuffy vibe, and location right on the water. We love how dog friendly the resort is - our golden retriever (and best man), Mickey, made friends with Nick, the resort mascot (I believe an Australian Shephard who is incredible and his owner is the amazingly kind concierge). This place is hands down one of the top 5 places we've ever stayed. Part 2: The Wedding Planning & Executing Staff -- Michaelena Waite & Andrea Crawford are the power duo of wedding planning. Picture the exact opposite of Franck Eggelhoffer & Howard Weinstein from Father of the Bride. They were not pushy, stressful, demanding at all! Throughout the process, the continually amazed my husband and I with their unending kindness, patience, ability to help guide us the best decision, and in no small feat - navigate continually changing covid regulations! They are the real deal - I can't imagine anyone being better at their jobs than these two. They helped us turn a non-traditional room on the property (see photo of reception) into our ideal intimate wedding venue, were our advocates throughout the process, and talented beyond belief. Whatever they make, they should get a raise for the ridiculous year with which they have had to navigate keeping a full wedding docket planned and executed during this ever changing, world of unknowns we are all living in that is 2020 with the coronavirus. They navigate this with a grace and professionalism that is unmatched. If it isn't clear yet, I think the world of them both, as does my husband and any of our wedding guests who interacted with them. You will not regret having your wedding here, as this power duo will make sure it is a seamless, enjoyable, and stress free event for you. Also, shoutout to the great bartender we had and the excellent servers for our reception - they were all wonderful. They even packaged up the leftover charceuterie from the cocktail hour for my dad to pick up the next day so nothing was wasted. Part 3: The Salon: This will be the only negative part of my review. As this was a covid wedding & we had no idea who would be able to show up, we did not have a bridal party. I simply wanted my mom and I to get our makeup done and get blowouts for our hair. I reached out via phone and email numerous times to the salon, & everytime was responded with a lengthy multiple pages long wedding contract. Weeks before our wedding and with a dog going through chemo treatments, while working full time, reading through a contract just to have my hair blowdried for volume and makeup put on was just not something I could add to my plate. To get around this, my sister in law was making appointments for her, her sister, & my mother in law to get blowouts, so she added my mom & I to her appointment so we could get an appointment w/o a contract. Ultimately, they charged my mom for ALL of the hair and makeup appointments and added 25% gratuity and I had to redo my hair entirely as I looked like Shirley Temple. Everything else about the experience at Mission Point was 10/10. We hope to go back and celebrate there often!

with the ever changing government restrictions. We had the best day celebrating with 110 of our closest family and friends. Mission Point is beautiful, we had our rehearsal dinner on the Promenade Deck and our reception in the Cyprus Room. With the groom coming from Chicago we worked with the chef to have a Chicago hot dog and Detroit Coney bar for our late night food. I wish we could do it all again, they really made us feel like family.

It was a fantastic experience. The staff were so caring and sweet. They even went out of their way to help us find a photographer who worked at the resort and last minute came to the rescue to take pics for us. When it rained they brought us in to a gorgeous room and put together an arch that had real flowers decorating the top. I’m so happy we chose to elope here and would definitely recommend it.

every person we came in contact with during the planning process was great. Our wedding coordinator Kristen was an absolute dream to work with. She was more than willing to answer all of my questions (there were A LOT), and was very timely with her responses. She helped to coordinate our rehearsal as well which was great since we did not hire a wedding coordinator outside of Mission Point. The night before our wedding she even helped us set up, staying well beyond the end of her day, and the next day helped us pack everything up. Any future bride will be extremely lucky to work with her! Every small detail was attended to and our reception venue, the Cypress Room was breathtaking. Having the option to have our cocktail hour on the deck was very convenient and our guests loved it. We got so many compliments about the friendliness of the staff at the reception as well as how amazing the food was. The banquet menu offers a large variety of options to fit the needs of most any guest, they are great about accommodating allergies as well! The bartenders at the reception were amazing, and by the end of the night were out on the dance floor with us! Wedding planning can be very stressful, but the entire staff (hotel, servers, bartenders, coordinators, etc.) at Mission Point made it so pleasant. We are so grateful for Mission Point helping us to create an experience we (or our guests) will NEVER forget! Best. Day. Ever. We plan on going back every year for our anniversary.

the food was AMAZING (we had a buffet) even though we could not taste test (we live 4 hours south of Mackinaw). The Summit room (where we had our reception) was so beautiful, with brand new hardwood floors, and 3 of the walls were windows overlooking the lake. Anybody considering having about 100 guests should look into this room. It had all the beauty of having an outdoor wedding (because of the gorgeous windows) with all the benefits of having it indoors. And because it limited my guest list to 100, and the room was so beautiful I only needed minimum decorations, the wedding definitely did not break the bank. And the surrounding gardens, lawn, beach, gazebo, and even Mission Point itself serve as beautiful backdrops for pictures.

It was a blessing in disguise because we ended up loving the Cypress Room more than the Deck. Everyone at Mission Point is incredibly friendly. They worked well with our wedding planner, Carole. We started our day at the salon and the staff was incredibly talented. When arriving at the reception, everything was set up perfectly. The food was amazing. All of our guests loved the stations (especially the potato bar and dessert bar.) Beautiful location on the water. We loved that it is a short walk/carriage ride from Ste. Anne Church. We had 50 guests.

We had a welcome reception/rehearsal dinner in the Colonial room, our ceremony at the gazebo, our reception in the Cypress room, and a farewell brunch at the courtside patio. Our coordinators were extremely helpful and we were able to personalize everything exactly how we wanted, down to the smallest details- we even built our own menus for each event. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests had a wonderful time, and that my husband and I had the best weekend ever. It was such an unforgettable experience and I HIGHLY recommend Mission Point for anyone wanting to get married on the island.

We had a perfect wedding week on the island and have nothing but amazing things to say about Lindsey, the mission point staff, and our entire wedding planning experience. We live 4.5 hours away from the island, visited the venue 2 times during planning, otherwise communicated via email, and it was so unbelievably easy to plan, everything was exactly as I had pictured in my head. I was also amazed at how seamlessly the staff made the ceremony venue switch due to rain, I was very nervous about the weather but the promenade deck with tent and lights was so gorgeous! We were also amazed at how easy it was to send all of the wedding items to mission point from the ferry and we never had to worry about them again, even after the reception ended we never lifted a finger and everything was sent right back over to the mainland! Lindsey Marks was absolutely amazing to work with! I would recommend Mission Point to anyone wanting to get married on Mackinac Island, you will not be disappointed. 😊

Rylin had so much information during planning, and helped us make the most efficient use of our food and drink minimum. The food and drinks were delicious, and the setting was surreal. The Cypress Room has a large outdoor area as well, which was great. People could dance and party but also slip away and sit in the rocking chairs and talk. The only complaint we had was that the servers were too efficient. We had wedding cake sitting by our name cards (as the bridge and groom) and the servers cleared it before we were able to try our own cake! This is a small complaint though, considering how great everything else was. Mission Point would have had a 100% score if I was able to eat my cake, now they have to deal with a 99%.

The resort is impressive while still having a relaxed atmosphere so our friends and family could celebrate with us but still feel like they're on vacation. Everyone loved the resort. The staff is always helpful! We worked with Rylin as our day to day and she was wonderful always doing everything she could to help. During the weekend, each and every staff member worked to make us feel special and celebrated. I would definitely recommend Mission Point to anyone looking to have a completely unique and memorable wedding!!

She got us booked at the salon, set up our tasting, gave us multiple tours, helped with day of set-up and was available pretty much non-stop from start to finish. Rylin promptly answered e-mails and phone calls and tended to what seemed like never ending requests even when we arrived for the weekend. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. The Cypress Room with the big porch overlooking the lake is the most beautiful and picturesque reception setting. The room is so beautiful that we used minimal decorations and it still looked elegant. The room does not have a/c so it did get a bit warm but having the entire patio allowed guests to step out and cool off and enjoy a lake breeze. I cannot say enough good things about Mission Point! The staff, including the servers and bartenders, are there to make sure your day is truly perfect. We even got to know several staff members over the course of the week, but Lionel and Shequiera take the cake. They were phenomenal in helping guests and answering questions. 3 months later and guests are still raving about our wedding and we wish we could do it all over again! I can't wait to come back to Mission Point for many anniversaries to come!

On top of that, everyone on their staff is friendly and dedicated to excellent customer service. Could not ask for a more perfect wedding location!

Every step of the way, Rylin answered every question I had (including the many months leading up to the wedding) and helped to plan out our day perfectly. On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond and I felt totally at ease with her coordinating the day. The food was delicious, and the dinner staff were extremely professional and courteous. As for the guest rooms, they were very comfortable and clean. The Hunt Suite was gorgeous and spacious, with plenty of seating and room for the bridesmaids to gather and get ready for the wedding. Some people may comment on the rooms needing to be updated, but the entire island feels as if it is set in the 1920s. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and true to the history of the island. We will definitely be coming back here!

The MPR team was also very accommodating and helped us navigate transporting decorations on the island, receiving shipment of flowers, etc. Everything went amazingly smoothly, and I'm so grateful. The food was delicious, and the view of the lake from the Cypress Room was beautiful. My guests loved the staff (especially the awesome bartenders), and the rustic look/lobby fireplaces were the perfect background for a fall wedding. They made planning a wedding at the Mission Point as stress-free as possible, and as a result, we had a beautiful wedding.

It was slightly embarrassing to have grown adults approach me and tell me they were cut off and ask that I get them a drink. One other negative- bridal suite had no dressers. We were on the island for 5 days and had to live out of our suitcase, which wasn't fun. Overall- I would say our wedding day was wonderful.

up to the big day. Mission Point treated my husband and I like special guests and always ensured we were taken care of. We stayed in the maritime suite which was perfect for getting ready. The entire wait staff was also super sweet and catered to our needs. Even working at the bar late night for all our guests who wanted to keep the party going. The grounds are gorgeous too for pictures. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking on the island.

kept waiting for a hiccup in the planning process since we are out of town and did everything via phone and email. But the hiccup never came-we can't say enough good things about these two ladies and how they made every vision come true. I don't know how they do it-working with so many brides and families, but they make each person feel like they are the most important. Megan took my decor visions and our reception room looked EXACTLY (if not better) than I had dreamed. Every single staff member that we met that weekend was amazing! Special thanks to Gabriel, the executive chef as well. My niece has severe multiple food allergies and he gave my sister his cell phone number to call him anytime! He made sure every single restaurant at MPR had food available for her and would call the chef (if he was at a different location) to make sure all protocol was being followed! He helped make what could have been a stressful situation run so smoothly! Our wait staff for our reception were wonderful as well. Ned (our bartender) was amazing and everyone loved him! Thank you for everything and helping our day be so magical! We would recommend getting married here to anyone!

is the biggest reason I'm glad I chose Mission Point Resort. From beginning to end, they made the wedding planning process easy. I did a bit of online comparison shopping on different Mackinac Island venues for my wedding, but Mission Point Resort won out because the wedding sales manager and conference services manager were so helpful and informative from the beginning. They quickly sent me a full menu of food, reception spaces, and pricing, which made comparison shopping so easy. Since I was pretty familiar with Mackinac Island, I was also swayed by MPR's close proximity to downtown, its quiet atmosphere (not as many "tourists" around as the Grand Hotel and definitely out of the hustle-bustle of downtown), and location right on the lakeshore. I chose to do an indoor reception, but did add an outdoor cookout and bonfire for our Friday night welcome party. This was a really lovely, memorable way to welcome our guests to the Island, but it was also incredibly cost-effective (beat out the other restaurant venues I was looking at around the Island). I was especially stunned by how helpful Katie and Megan were throughout the whole process. Katie and Megan were always available by phone and email for quick questions and to ensure everything was on track. I was able to mail boxes (I counted 18 boxes total) to MPR and they were stored safely for me for weeks. Megan helped me out all weekend by making sure decorations were in place for the welcome party and reception. I didn't use an event decor company, but I did not have to do a thing on the day of the wedding—Megan made sure the flowers got where they needed to be, and she made sure the tables were decorated with favors, linen, etc—down to ensuring floating candles were floating and lit! I was very happy with the food as well. We took a major risk deciding on food choices without tasting in person (and we're foodies!), but we live in NYC and have busy schedules, so took the leap—and I'm so happy we did. The steaks came out moist, the chicken was juicy, and the fish was flavorful and fresh. Wedding food so often turns out overcooked and flavorless, but MPR did a wonderful job! The staff was fun-loving and easy to work with. A few of the staffers saw how laidback and happy our guests were on the dance floor and even joined in on the fun, which we loved! In addition to the wedding suite that came with our wedding package, we were also upgraded for the additional day we stayed on the Island—thanks MPR! My favorite memories from the wedding weekend all involve the quiet and beauty of MPR's resort grounds in the late night and early morning, with mist rising off Lake Huron and the great lawn. MPR was the best of all worlds, because its location on the edge of "civilization" on Mackinac Island made it both convenient and a bit like we were far away from it all. If I had to do it again, I'd choose Mission Point Resort in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommend!

We arrived with a huge load of luggage, snacks, drinks, and decorations, and Eric made quick work of getting everything either to our room or to a staging area where it was kept safe for us all weekend. Eric was the first of many Mission Point staff members who really stepped up to make our stay feel stress-free and enjoyable. We had planned a bike rally and lawn games the day before the ceremony. Once again, the staff was incredibly helpful in making our events a success. While we enjoyed a leisurely ride around the island, the staff was setting up a beautiful refreshment area on the lawn that was ready and waiting for us at the end of the ride. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon of games, drinks, and snacks. The following day, our ceremony at the gazebo and our reception in the Cypress Room went off beautifully. Katie Brew and Brandon Sheldon coordinated the entire ceremony and helped us avoid a couple self-imposed hiccups. They were like mission control for our wedding! They also ensured that the room was set up exactly to our liking. We didn’t even have a chance to check the room before our reception (apparently wedding days get really busy!!), but we never once had any worries that things wouldn’t be perfect. Once again they outdid themselves! The room decor and the table setup was even better than we expected. Between the Mission Point staff and our florist, the space looked and felt amazing! The food and service at our reception was also incredible. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was, and all of the servers went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. Ava took care of the head table, and she was so sweet to all of us! She continued to check in with us throughout the evening, and made sure we had everything possible to ensure a great time was had by all. Our head bartender, Headley, also made a great impression. By the end of the night he knew what many of our guests were drinking and often had their drinks ready and waiting each time they made their way to the bar. All of the servers were so friendly and fun! They even took a few minutes to join the party and hit the dance floor, which we loved!!! Knowing they were enjoying the party made the whole evening feel more festive. We checked out the day after the big event, and Eric once again came through in a big way. He made sure to gather all of our gear, which at this point was scattered all over the resort, onto luggage carts and get it safely to the ferry docks. Cleaning up and getting off the island was one of my biggest concerns, but Eric made it so easy on us. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with Mission Point. The grounds were always immaculate, with gorgeous flowers in full bloom wherever you looked. There was never a shortage of good food and entertainment options, and all of our guests had a great time at the resort and on the island. If you’re thinking about getting married on Mackinac, definitely consider Mission Point!

ME, seriously Megan, you rock! Everything went so smoothly, she set up our room for us (candles, pictures, guest book, etc) and it all looked amazing. The venue is beautiful, and they all did such a great job accommodating us and our guests. Awesome place for a wedding!

She missed quite a few details that we spoke to her about right before the rehearsal and she disappeared before the reception started so we were left to have to search for the proper person at the venue to take care of a few different items/issues during the evening, which I did not appreciate, but overall we had a really lovely day on the island.

Of course being the bride and groom we didn’t each much of it but everyone raved about how delicious it was. Not only that but we were able to really customize our menu and do a family style meal instead of the traditional platted which left more time for DANCING • The service! Everyone day of was truly wonderful. The bartender was super friendly and all the wait staff were extra attentive and helpful. They even had a personal server follow us while we took pictures with apps and beverages so we didn’t miss out on the cocktail hour. • The planners! So I am in the hotel event business and I have pretty high standards for my Event/Catering Manager and Brandon more than met my expectations. He was always extremely quick to respond to even my littlest questions in the planning process. Additionally I have never worked with a team that was so FLEXIBLE! I felt incredibly well taken care of and nothing was missed. Megan who tag teamed to help on the day of was also great, extremely accommodating with last minute changes and kept everyone moving the right direction. Again I can’t say enough about our overall experience at Mission Point, they made our special day one of a kind and truly an amazing lifetime experience.

bar or the bridal toast. we sort of winged it on our own. we did also have trouble with getting guests registered at the hotel. several times they were told there were no rooms in my reserved block (not true). one of those persons turned away was father of the Bride ! very upset about that and very embarrassed. the food was wonderful and the staff was quick at both serving and clearing plates. the 11 pm curfew was unfortunate as my guests wanted to stay and dance.

eption! We worked very closely with Mandy Berryman who truly went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. After having to plan from a long distance; Mandy made sure to make us feel confident that everything would turn out great! We were able to store things at the resort ahead of time, use space to put together welcome bags, stay updated with guest arrangements, etc. We held our wedding reception in the Cypress room which was such a lovely space with a huge attached porch looking over the great lawn and water. Our guests loved it! We also held a 4th of July BBQ on the Promenade Deck which was also very nice! Although our venue was one of the priciest parts of the wedding, it was totally worth it! A tip for people looking to book a ceremony/reception here would be to book ASAP! I was shocked to learn that there were 3 weddings on the day of my wedding at the resort! Luckily I didn't see any of them or feel like we were intruding on each others celebrations. If you want to ensure you get your favorite space at Mission Point then make sure to book early! You will love it!!

olutely exceptional from the beginning of the process all the way through to the end of the wedding day. Mandy is a blessing to work with!! She's easy to talk to, makes you feel very comfortable and at ease, and is all about YOU on your wedding day. We can't say enough how much we appreciated Mandy and the entire staff at Mission Point. We had our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception here. Both were at different areas on the grounds and provided different, yet equally as beautiful scenic views. We received numerous compliments from our guests on the taste and quality of the food. The craft beer selections and the late night snack was a huge hit! We highly recommend Mission Point as a wedding venue, as well as a perfect place for guest accommodations. We will be back to the island soon & will always stay at Mission Point!

n and it was great. The staff was great, over the course of the week they frequently checked in with us to see if we needed any help. We had a few guests that had some reservation issues and the staff was very quick to find alternative solutions to accommodate my guests needs. We had one hundred guests at our ceremony and reception and Mission Point Resort did a great job with everything. I remember sitting at our sweetheart table and looking around the room thinking about how beautiful everything was and how happy my guests looked. Towards the end of the night I was getting compliments on how great the party was from multiple guests. Mission Point Resort had a lot to do with the success of our wedding. I would not only recommend Mackinac Island as a wedding destination but hands down Mission Point Resort as the vendor of choice on the island.

ave us peace of mind and amazing customer service throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough good things about Danielle and Manda, as well as the entire event staff. They were attentive, understanding, and made it their mission (no pun intended) to meet our requests to the best of their ability. The facilities are beautiful and rustic, which is exactly what we were looking for (we had a vintage travel themed wedding and Mission Point fit us perfectly). Even when last-minute changes were proposed (i.e. changed the venue of the rehearsal dinner less than a month before the wedding), Mission Point was able to accommodate our requests and we were so happy with our decision. We could not be more happy with Mission Point Resort...they gave us our dream wedding! And we always have a romantic place to visit on the island when our anniversary rolls around each year.
