any money back. But I had to postpone my wedding due to the pandemic the week of (March 2020). But my husband and I still got married on our original date. Michelle, who I believe is the owner or manager, was very understanding and moved my date no problem. She just transferred what I had paid with a new contract I signed that had said the same as the contract before. I moved my wedding date from March 2020 to September 2020 thinking for sure everything would be back to normal by then. But in July 2020 I realized things were not getting better so out of safety for us and our guests I decided to move the date to March of 2021. Michelle said they could move the date but I would have to pay 25% more for a rebooking fee. So my options were to lose everything that I had paid (which included all 6 people and traveling fee) and find someone else and pay them the around the same amount, or I could pay the 25%. I wasn't very happy with that, but it made the most sense to go with that option. I did sign a contract even though the pandemic was/is very unpredictable. I too am a hairstylist so I know they did what they thought was good for their business. Michelle and her staff were very professional and if the pandemic didn't happen, everything would have gone very smoothly. I just want anyone looking into getting their hair professionally done for their wedding to just be very aware of what is in the contract you are signing. The unlikely CAN happen. Like a pandemic can literally ruin how you thought you would be getting married. Xena, who did my hair and my bridal parties hair, did do an AMAZING job. She was very sweet and friendly.

Not only did my make up and hair look amazing right when they did them (the perfect mix of natural enough that I didn't look like a weirdo and enough oomph to look good in pictures), but it HELD UP ALL NIGHT!! I was truly blown away and grateful that they could make that feat of magic happen. They also were happy to follow my strict Covid preferences (masks + faceshields, one person at a time, one artist in the room at a time). Michelle was extremely helpful organizing the reschedule and managing Covid precautions. Very professional and on top of details. I would take off half a star (if 4.5 stars were allowed) because Mission was less flexible with Covid rescheduling than my other vendors. Everyone else gave me an updated quote for the services I received and applied the payments I had made before Covid (reducing what was owed or issuing refunds). Mission wouldn't move my deposit to my new date (which meant $788 gone). They were willing to reduce the number of services since my bridesmaids could no longer come, but I paid over $1200 total for a trial run, bridal hair and make-up, and hair and make-up for my MOH, which is pretty bonkers. That said, I understand they're a small business trying to survive in a very tough time, but so are all the other vendors I worked with and they were much more flexible. Overall, I would highly recommend them since their team is top notch, just be sure if you're having a wedding during Covid that you fully understand their rescheduling policies.

I still wanted to get my hair and makeup done, and luckily, Michelle and the Mission Stylehouse helped make it happen. I received timely communication from them and was impressed with their COVID safety protocols. They were also really reasonable and flexible from a financial perspective, which was so appreciated. They know how to make everyone look their best without going overboard on the makeup. Throughout the process Michelle was very responsive and took the time to email and hop on a phone call if needed. Price-wise Mission Stylehouse seems to be very comparable to other companies. They do require full payment up front versus the day of the event which is understandable but you are able to tip each stylist day of via cash or venmo.

The compliments never stopped and I felt amazing with the two looks. I especially loved the minimal effort in transition from look one to look two. Chloe, I have no idea how she did it. It was important to me to look fresh and dewy, but still like me. She accentuated all the right things and the makeup lasted ALL NIGHT - no touch ups other than on the lipstick. And the hair and makeup for all of the other women in our group was stunning. Every single person came in with a different request and came out with a different look. Spenser, Chloe, Simone, and Caitlyn did 10 different hair and make-up styles in 5 hours and each woman was sincerely grateful to them and felt amazing.

I explained all of this to Chloe and she completely understood. She made me feel so beautiful without feeling or looking like the makeup was caked on my face. Also, one of my bridesmaids (who rarely applies make up) nearly cried because of how beautiful she looked. Go Chloe. Laura: incredibly talented! After the trial, we decided my hair would look fuller with extensions. On the day of the wedding, we tried extensions in my hair for the first time and they looked so good. She did everyone’s hair (10 people)in such a timely fashion and it all held up the whole night. Overall: these boss ladies were SO talented, smart, wonderful, reliable and EFFICIENT. ally since I had a morning wedding and we started primping at 6 AM. She brought teammate Chloe along. Both were prompt and ready to go (def before we were). I was VERY nervous and sick before getting ready for the wedding and Michelle was patient and cool as a cucumber as I tried to calm down. Although we did have a trial, I didn't bring the clip in extensions with me, so I was nervous about using them for the first time on the morning of, but Michelle put them in perfectly. I had a low, side pony with some details in the back and a birdcage veil and LOVED my hair. It turned out exactly as had imagined. As for my makeup, we trial ran a lighter look and I expressed that I did not want to look cakey or heavy as I don't normally wear makeup. On the morning of, Michelle executed a very natural look with thick, fake eyelashes that she brought, and I LOVED that, too. Overall I would recommend Michelle and Chloe for any event you'd need hair and/or makeup for. My bridesmaids, mother, and flower girl also expressed the same sentiment. Everyone was thrilled and paying was simply over Venmo, which made the process completely painless. Thank you!
