The venue was absolutely stunning! The staff was all so helpful and accommodating from start to finish! The food was delicious and everything went according to plan (as much as it can). We are so thrilled with how the photos turned out at such a beautiful place. Cannot recommend enough!

Mistwood was amazing for our February wedding! Everyone loved the food and thought the space was beautiful! Taylor Prieboy was a joy to work with and was so helpful throughout the entire process. My only recommendation is to make sure that the cocktail hour area is big enough for your guests. We had more people attend than expected so it was a bit cramped. Once cocktail hour ended, however, we had plenty of room for our 150 people wedding. The golf course was a beautiful backdrop for our photos also! I love that we did not have to share the venue with other weddings. I was rustic and personal and I would highly recommend.

Taylor and her team took care of everything. She was always extremely responsive and knowledgeable. I can truly look back at my day and say I enjoyed every moment because I had full confidence in the Mistwood team. The food, beverages, reception room, logistics…. Perfection. Thank you Mistwood!!!

My husband and I got married here in March 2023. We were originally supposed to have our wedding at the Haley Mansion, but due to the fire at the mansion, we had to find a new venue 6 weeks before our wedding. Luckily an extremely stressful time was relieved by the professionalism at Mistwood Golf Club. Specifically Taylor P. helped immensely. All of our questions were answered, and every detail was taken care of very fast. Taylor even helped with some place cards the night before the wedding. We are so thankful MIstwood was able to pull everything off perfectly in such a short amount of time.

My husband and I got married at Mistwood in September 2022. It was the first venue we looked at, and we were sold after our first meeting. The grounds/event spaces are amazing, and our wedding photos are beautiful. In addition to the great scenery, the food is phenomenal. We worked with Taylor and Audra throughout the process, and they were always quick to respond and answered all of our questions thoroughly.

I don't know where to begin! After struggling to find a venue due to 2022 dates, slow responses from other venues and not finding a place that fit our vibe and budget - we then came across Mistwood online and I knew I had to see it. Taylor was so responsive from the start and we fell in love at first sight of it. Our wedding process was fun because of this venue and Taylor's help. She was SO accommodating to our needs, questions and our families questions. Staff the night of was excellent. They made the room look absolutely amazing, handled a potential weather scare with such grace and I felt confident in them the whole time through. The pictures, exterior, food, drinks and staff are AMAZING. I would not have wanted to get married anywhere else and we are so happy that we get to re-visit Mistwood for many years to come! Thank you Taylor!!

I had my wedding here in late March of 2022. I’ll begin with thanking Taylor P, our event coordinator, who worked with us from beginning to end. When I didn’t know what questions I even had, she directed us to the right thing. She was always excited with us. When a relative suddenly gifted me with a decorator one week before the wedding, she took it in stride without a blink. Throughout the process she responded quickly to my emails. She even showed up to our reception to check in when she had finished another event at MGC’s second venue across town. I’m so glad we got to work with her. Next, I’ll thank Chef Ben, who provided our guests with delicious appetizers and dinner. Actually, the appetizers were so good that my husband and I filled up during cocktail hour and could barely finish our dinner! Highly recommend the mini beef wellingtons. We had about 10 people with various allergies and diet restrictions throughout the room, and they were all accommodated. As for the venue itself, the Great Hall is an elegant tavern style with dark wood and a stone fireplace. The mantle is perfect for displaying a special item for the whole room to see. Our reception of 170 guests fit perfectly. Not too sparse, not too crowded. The cocktail hall is cozy. Keeping the Great Hall divider in place makes for a great reveal when it’s time for the reception. There is a stone wall outside on the cocktail room patio that is a good spot for guests to take photos. The grounds gave our photographer a beautiful backdrop to work her magic. Mistwood works for any season. Even our cold, dreary weather turned out great in photos. I recommend off season for the price break and the venue not being as busy because golf is not active.

Mistwood was the perfect venue for our fall wedding! Pictures of the venue truly doesn’t do justice for just how beautiful this space is. Audra was our day of coordinator and she was fantastic throughout the process making sure everything ran smoothly and was exactly how we envisioned it. I truly cannot recommend Mistwood enough!

Mistwood was the perfect venue for our wedding! We really couldn't ask for anything better! Taylor, the Mistwood events planner was so helpful and very responsive to all of my questions. Having a good wedding planner makes a huge difference and is super important to consider when looking fro a venue! Taylor also gave me some good recommendations on vendors! I also found out that I was pregnant during the middle of wedding planning and Taylor, worked with my mom to come up with a cute gender reveal at our wedding which was really special! I really appreciate everything Taylor did to help us plan the best wedding! Thank you so much Taylor :) The food, cook and wait staff were also amazing! They also have a one of a kind chef there that Mistwood is very luck to have!

Mistwood was my 1 and only venue I looked at and I'm so happy with my decision! The venue is breathtaking, both inside and out. The food was sooo delicious and plentiful! The waitstaff and Melissa, the day of coordinator were wonderful. They continuously kept checking in with us to make sure we were okay. Towards the end of my planning, I had the pleasure of working with Taylor. She was amazing to work with! She made it easy and fun. Every little question I had, no matter what time of day/night, she gave me a quick response. I cannot thank Mistwood's entire staff enough for making my vision come true, it was an absolute dream!

Everything about Mistwood is amazing. From working with Taylor in the planning process to the seamless and stress free day of the wedding. The staff at Mistwood was such a joy to work with and made everything so easy. The day of the event moved effortlessly and we always had someone available for questions or asking us what we needed. Not only the overall service but the venue is absolutely stunning and the food is fantastic. All of our guests kept complimenting the atmosphere and how wonderful all the food was. Mistwood help made our wedding amazing!

We are so grateful that we chose Mistwood as our wedding venue. Not only are the grounds and event spaces beautiful, the event staff went above an beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Despite working with several staff during our 2 year planning process, none of the details were ever dropped or missed. We worked with Melissa prior to the day of the wedding, who is just amazing to work with. She is prompt with replying and always has good advice for someone like me who can't always make a decision. On the day of, Taylor and Jason made everything go so smoothly and had everything set up so beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a better place for our wedding and we highly recommend Mistwood!

We are so thankful that we had our wedding reception at Mistwood! The venue setup looked absolutely perfect, the food was amazing, and Taylor was just wonderful to work with planning the event during COVID.

My brother's wedding at Mistwood Golf Club was nothing short of a dream come true. Taylor P, the coordinator is worth her weight in gold (and then some). She was helpful and attentive throughout the entire 3-year planning process. On event day, Taylor along with her team, lead by Christine, made it their mission to ensure the couple's vision came to life! We had met the chef, Chef Ben, at the tasting a few months back and he even stopped to say "hello" on the wedding day. He and his team executed the most wonderful 3-course meal that all of the guests still rave about today! We cannot thank Taylor and the whole events team at Mistwood enough. Hospitality is the name of the game and Mistwood will exceed all of your expectations!

We loved our experience with Mistwood Golf Club! It was a beautiful venue and the staff was great to work with. The only downside was we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there at the driving range which we thought we had already booked and it was rented out to someone else but that was a drop in the bucket. The food was amazing, wait staff and bartenders were all friendly, the up lighting and ceiling draping upgrades with twinkle lights was completely worth it, it was so beautiful. We had our ceremony outside and it was everything I dreamed of as a bride. I had little worries/stress on my wedding day because I knew Melissa was keeping everything organized and the banquet manager was also great. Our photobooth was a no call/no show and the banquet manager helped put together a last minute selfie station backdrop and didn’t miss a beat! Would highly recommend Mistwood, great landscape for pictures as well.

Mistwood Golf Club was an amazing venue for our wedding! Our event coordinator, Taylor Prieboy, was a huge help throughout the entire planning process. From rescheduling due to the pandemic to a last second rain delay, she was always there to answer any questions and keep things running smoothly. The Great Hall at Mistwood is a unique and beautiful venue to have the reception! The drapery uplighting added a romantic touch to our wedding. All of our guests absolutely loved the menu and the soup shooter were a big hit! The entire staff was friendly, easy to work with, and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding night went perfectly! The chef even went so far as to take our flowers off the wedding cake and make small bouquet for us! I defiantly recommend anyone looking for a unique and wonderful venue to check out Mistwood!

Mistwood Golf Club was a dream wedding venue. The venue itself is gorgeous! We were blown away by the newly renovated space and unique aesthetic. The food is absolutely delicious and the chef was so great to work with. Taylor Prieboy ensured every detail went off without a hitch and made planning the wedding so smooth. No detail was overlooked! I highly recommend this venue.

We got engaged in August of 2020 and were faced with the challenge of planning our wedding during the pandemic. Our first stop when we looked at a wedding venue was Mistwood and they were fantastic. As we looked at other venues Mistwood kept separating themselves from the others. As we walked the venue and sat with Taylor on the initial visit we were beyond impressed. The professionalism, attention to detail and quality of the facility was top-notch. After we decided to book our wedding and reception with them Taylor and Melissa continued their excellent level of communication, service and problem solving. In addition, their list of preferred vendors further helped us with the planning and we loved working with all of the vendors they suggested to us. This also was helpful as there was a delay with the arch for our wedding ceremony and Melissa, on her off day, and Heather & Kris, our day of contacts, pulled together to work with the vendor to ensure it was there so there was no delay to the ceremony. We had no doubt that they wanted to do anything they could to make our wedding special for us. We always felt like a priority to them. The chef was equally impressive both at the tasting through answering questions and making requested alterations to meals. On the day of the wedding the food was a BIG hit. Cocktail hour was highlighted by the mini Beef Wellingtons and Chicken Quesadilla w/ margarita shooter, easily the biggest hits with our guests. All of our guests said it was a great meal. We would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding and reception venue to have it at Mistwood.

Mistwood golf club was a dream to work with! At our first look of the venue we fell in love with it. It is the perfect combination of rustic and elegant. The layout of the ceremony space out on the gorgeous patio to the terrace room with balconies for cocktail hour to the grand ballroom for the reception is perfect. It all flows together so well. The landscaping and the views of the golf course are gorgeous! It was the perfect place to do our wedding photos without having to go anywhere else. We still get compliments on what a beautiful place it is. Best of all we can visit whenever we want by eating at their delicious restaurant, mcwethys tavern. We had a steak dinner or chicken, both were equally delicious. Our guests loved the food! Hats off to the chefs! The chefs truly care about the food they are serving. They offer many delicious entrees, it is so hard to choose! We had pretzels on a pretzel wall for a late night snack and it was such a hit! The pretzels were devoured! The hors d'oeuvres were also delicious, light & refreshing! All of the event coordinators are so kind and willing to do anything you need to make your day perfect. They work closely with you on everything from the timeline to setting up all of your decorations. We did not have to do anything, but bring our decor to them. They truly take care of you and listen to exactly how you want everything set up. I primarily worked with Taryn and Melissa. These ladies are so so happy to put on an amazing wedding for you! They are responsive, listen, fun, and are so caring. They are experts on the subject and offer so much advice for things to run smoothly. Melissa helped fluff my dress before the ceremony and line us up. She kept us on schedule! She was my calm through the busy-ness of the day, I truly appreciate it. I can tell that they love what they do! They brought their services to the next level by making sure we had a plate of hor d'oeuvres with our dinner so we didn't miss them at cocktail hour. They set aside the top tier of our wedding cake for us to take home and enjoy. When I saw the great hall with my decor they far exceeded my expectations. It was everything I dreamed of. Their bar is stocked with good alcohol and they were able to make many cocktails for our guests. We even had signature drinks, so fun! Our friends and family can't stop talking about the wedding, absolutely everyone had a blast and loved this venue. Mistwood recommended tone productions for DJ, and they were amazing! Our dance floor was packed all night! All of our friends and family have said it's the best wedding they've been to. mistwood worked with my father in law to extend the reception for an hour and it was so easy to do so at the last minute. You can't go wrong with this place! They made planning my wedding easy! I wanted to have everything from the ceremony to photos to the reception in one place and mistwood is perfect for this. They offer alot with their wedding package with great pricing and are more than happy to customize anything for you. I recommend this venue to anyone, but if you are in the local area, don't pass this place up! If I could, I would plan another wedding with them in a heartbeat. I will miss this experience with them, but my husband and I are beyond grateful for this amazing place with amazing people!

There are not enough great things to say about Mistwood! We got married here on June 26, 2021. It was the most beautiful day. The grounds are so well kept and amazing for pictures. We worked with Taylor throughout the process and she was by the far the best! She went above and beyond what I could have imagined. She was in touch throughout the whole planning process and was so helpful at every step. She is the sweetest and I don’t know what we would have done without her. The food was also amazing and all of our guests raved about it! We are so glad we chose Mistwood for the best day of our lives!

We chose Mistwood Golf Club as our wedding venue on May 1st 2021 and were so pleased with the entire process. When looking for a wedding venue we were looking for a location that had an outdoor spacious ceremony spot with indoor option available in event of rain, an open reception hall, great food, and on-site scenery for picture perfect photos all needing to be within budget, to which Mistwood checked all the boxes. My husband and I worked closely with Taylor throughout the whole process and were very pleased with her professionalism and attention to detail. I must have emailed, texted or called Taylor over 100 times to which she was always responsive immediately. From our first walk through, to the food tasting, to a couple more walk throughs up to the day of Taylor made the whole process so enjoyable! When we had to reschedule our original wedding date due to covid Mistwood allowed us to do so without any issues and gave us multiple options for rescheduling. Another thing we loved about Mistwood was the fact we were able to have our rehearsal dinner at the practice center so us and our guests were able to truly enjoy the entire venue and great food all weekend! On rehearsal dinner night/Wedding day we had the pleasure of working with Melissa and she did not disappoint helping our day go by smoothly. Anytime me, my husband or someone from the wedding party needing something Melissa was present, available and displayed wonderful communication all day. I don't think there was anything Taylor and Melissa said no too. We were even able to have a nacho cheese fountain (my husband's idea of course) for a nacho bar we had as our late night snack which was a hit with all our guests! I can happily say our wedding day went down virtually stress-free with the assistance of Mellisa and her staff. The one thing I would recommend future brides to keep in mind is that the venue is able to rent out the reception space in the morning, day of event. For our wedding we had a decorator that brought a ton of decor for the outside ceremony/reception hall that required about 5 hours of set-up time. Taylor worked with us in planning for our decorator to decorate outside first and then inside in the event another party booked our venue morning of. Luckily we ultimately ended up not having this issue. We would absolutely recommend Mistwood Golf Club for your event needs as you will not be disappointed with the attentive staff, picture-perfect venue and delicious food.

I cannot say enough good things about Mistwood. My husband and I got married there on July 24 2021 and it was absolutely the best day ever. Taylor was the one who gave me a tour and set everything up with me, but I worked mostly with Melissa. They were both AMAZING. Melissa was always there for me to email or call to ask questions, no matter how silly or small they seemed. The day of the wedding, Melissa went above and beyond. Every time I thought "I need to find Melissa" I would turn around and she would be right there already answering the question I was about to ask. It ended up raining and we had to switch to an indoor ceremony at the last minute and Melissa and the Mistwood team handled it so flawlessly people thought it was always to plan to have it inside. She made everything so easy for our special day so we could just focus on having fun! I highly recommend this venue!!

Mistwood is an absolutely beautiful venue with amazing staff! My husband and I got married there on June 18, 2021. Taylor worked closely with us on all the planning and made the process very smooth! She was very accommodating and listened closely to what we wanted, while also providing helpful suggestions. We had both our ceremony and reception located at Mistwood. The outdoor terrace where we had our ceremony had a stunning backdrop! We had many compliments from our guests about the views of the golf course! Inside the Reception Hall, I loved the vaulted ceilings, especially with the lovely drapery! I really felt like this space was unique to our personalities! Also, we found that the price was very affordable compared to other venues in the Chicagoland suburbs. They worked with us on customizing our wedding day so it was exactly what we had imagined. I definitely recommend signing your contract with Mistwood!

My husband and I just got married at Mistwood this July and it was absolutely perfect. We had hoped to get married outside as the courtyard area is so beautiful, but the rain had other ideas. The Mistwood staff transformed the indoor space with piping and draping to make it look like that was always the plan. That coupled with the beautiful ceiling and flowers made it so that I didn't miss my outdoor experience. Throughout my planning experience, a few different employees left or changed roles, but Melissa, who started just a few months ago, jumped right in and made it all easy. Anything I needed, she was a call or email away, and despite how overwhelming it is for a first time bride, she never made me feel silly for asking questions. She even problem solved some minor details with me so I didn't have to purchase more items to use for only one day. On the day of, Melissa made it all run so smoothly. I was so impressed with everything there, and most importantly for my guests, the food and drinks were outstanding. I highly recommend using Mistwood.

If you are considering Mistwood for your wedding, sign the contract! We hosted my daughter's wedding here on May 8th and it was perfection. During our planning process, we worked with Taylor. I've been in the wedding industry for almost 8 years and when I say she was easy to work with, I say it with great appreciation for all she does. As with many families over the past year, we planned during the pandemic and had to 'pivot' multiple times. Taylor worked with us and kept us calm. Whenever we had a question, it was "yes, let me look into that." - so refreshing to hear! The entire staff was amazingly accommodating. I had read reviews on the quality of food and let's just put that to rest. Our guest raved about their meal!! Chef really produced a top quality experience. We could not be happier that one of our most cherished lifetime memory.

We had the best experience with Mistwood Golf Club for the most special day of our lives... our wedding day. We were one of the many couples affected by Covid-19 & we didn’t know what to do until we called Mistwood. They had the date we wanted open but only as day event, so we decided to go with an intimate brunch wedding! We toured the place & we honestly didn’t even bother to look at other venues. It was perfect for us our guests and what we wanted. Throughout the entire process Taylor basically held our hands, she was amazing. I had so many questions & she would quickly answer them. It was always so easy to get a hold of her. We definitely had the best experience despite so much unknown. She also let us go check out the venue again before our wedding to see how things would be set up, which helped bring the nerves down & she was also so helpful and full of advice and ideas. When the day finally came she walked me and our family through everything. She was so attentive. The day went smoothly and beautifully! We are so grateful! Definitely Mistwood is a place I will recommend and a place I look forward to celebrating other events at. We are so happy with the service, highly recommend a brunch wedding- mimosa bar was a success! & Taylor is the best!♥️

If you want the best wedding ever, book Mistwood. The Great Hall is gorgeous, the food is amazing, and the staff are some of the kindest people you’ll meet.. They also have a great bridal suite that opens into the women’s restroom. The beautiful golf course as the backdrop doesn’t hurt anything either. Their events manager Taylor will make sure you are taken care of the entire time, from the moment you book your first tour to when the last song plays. Our original wedding had to be canceled due to COVID but Taylor contacted us right away to help us reschedule. To say we had a lot of questions is an understatement, even before COVID, but no matter the time of day we got replies back quickly. Some other bonuses are that their is only one hall at Mistwood so you will be the only wedding and will get 100% of their attention, they also have a nice one on one food tasting so you can go over the menu personally to make sure it meets your needs and taste, there are also large balconies that look over the golf course for some beautiful views for you and your guests to enjoy. One thing they did that brought tears to my eyes was offer to bring food to my maid of honor who was told she had to quarantine the day before our wedding. I was devastated but knowing that they would deliver her food so she could eat with us and still be a part of the celebration helped tremendously. If you want an amazing wedding that people will be talking about for years to come, you have to pick Mistwood. Everywhere else we looked paled in comparison and after hearing how some other halls treated couples during COVID we know we picked the right place because they care about their couples and make sure they have the wedding of their dreams like we did.

I was supposed to get married at Mistwood on May 23, 2020 then postponed to December 18, 2020 because of COVID, and then ended up eventually cancelling completely because of the uncertainty. Let me tell you though, throughout our entire wedding process pre-COVID and during COVID, the Mistwood staff was EXCELLENT! I worked with Becky and Taryn (who are no longer there because they moved out of state) and then ended my last few months with Melissa, and all three ladies went above and beyond. They always answered all of my questions quickly and were just great support systems throughout the entire planning process. We were able to taste test before COVID hit and the food is absolutely incredible. The chef is truly brilliant. Cancelling with Mistwood was a breeze. They didn’t give me a hard time about anything and completely understood why we were making the extremely difficult decision to cancel. They truly care about their clients. The venue is beautiful and I hope one day we can host some sort of celebration at Mistwood. To all future brides looking for venues, look no further! Mistwood is your place. You can expect a perfect wedding working with them.

All I can say is if I could give Events by Mistwood 10 stars I would. Taylor, was beyond incredible. Her attention to detail and genuine care about our wedding day gave me peace of mind. She was responsive, helpful, offered suggestions and followed through with every detail we requested. She sat down with us multiple times to go over everything and she was responsible for our wedding going off without a hitch. The food at Mistwood is out of this world. We had several guests say the filets at our wedding were the best they have ever had. I wish we could relive this day again, but I am so grateful we chose Mistwood as our wedding venue.

We got married in August 2020 at Mistwood and it was absolutely amazing! We could not have picked a better place! We were searching for golf courses around the area and once we walked up we knew this was exactly the feel we wanted to go for. We worked with Taylor throughout the year and half process during our engagement and she was awesome!! She so responsive to all our emails and she gave us all the positivity during the uncertain times of the pandemic. She helped my vision of the decor come to life. When I walked in on our wedding day it was more stunning than I could have imagined! The food we had on our wedding was amazing. I received so many compliments from our guests saying it was the best reception meal they have ever had! I would choose Mistwood 100x over again, everything was perfect!

I would choose Mistwood 1,000 times over. My husband and I got married at Mistwood on 8/7/20. We have been engaged for 2 years, and had to move our date once due to COVID. About a year and a half ago we started looking at wedding venues. We probably visited 6-8 different spaces in our area, none of which made us super excited. We didn't want a traditional ballroom, we wanted an outdoor wedding ceremony on site, and wanted to use somewhere that people wouldn't expect. We came across Mistwood, and decided to check it out. We first met with Taryn, the event coordinator. When I tell you she is the best thing that ever happened to us in the wedding planning space, it is no lie!! Taryn basically doubled as a wedding planner, walking us through every little detail, never trying to sell us something or force an upgrade, never pressuring us into anything. She is absolutely incredible. Our wedding was originally planning for 6/12/20, so on that timeline we had done a food tasting a few months prior. I figured Taryn was probably the only A+ person there until we met the chef.. he was so creative, and was flexible with us on any changes we wanted to make to our menu selections. Incredibly talented!! I had been talking with Taryn the weeks leading up to June, and ultimately decided we needed to change our date as the state of IL was only allowing groups of 10 at that point. It was hard on us emotionally, but Taryn was super supportive, and called us right away when they had any new openings. Lucky for us, 8/7/20 opened up and we took it right away. Taryn was exceptionally easy to get in contact with, and always made herself available if needed. I didn't have to do a thing the day of the wedding (as it should be), but I also didn't have to designate members of my family or wedding party to take care of setting anything up. Taryn and her team did everything for us. Set up, vendor coordination, directing guests, and even making sure my dress laid perfectly right before I walked down the aisle.  I get tears in my eyes writing this because I am SO THANKFUL for Taryn and for Mistwood. I've heard horror stories of wedding vendors, especially in the pandemic, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Even after Taryn had left for the night, the remaining staff and event coordinator knew exactly what to do and how to take care of us. Gosh I just want to relive that day over and over again thanks to the fantastic team at Mistwood.

We got married in July of 2019 at Mistwood and we could not have been happier with our choice in venue. The courtyard where we had our ceremony was absolutely stunning with the golf course backdrop and beautiful summer flowers surrounding the alter. The Great Hall was exquisite with its rustic charm and beautiful view; also comfortably accommodating our large wedding guest list. Taylor did a wonderful making sure that our vision for the day was executed perfectly. With her attention to detail and the experienced staff, we were able to enjoy our wedding day to the fullest! (She even went above and beyond and went out to get medicine for a guest who had a slight allergic reaction--a fact that I didn’t even know about until the following day.) The food at Mistwood was amazing! From the appetizers to the late night snacks, everything was delicious. Chef Ben was even extremely accommodating with the very strange dietary restrictions my guests required. From the first time we went to Mistwood and every time that followed, we felt like family at Mistwood and have yet to find a fault in this extraordinary venue. I would highly recommend having your wedding or event at Mistwood because everything was above and beyond perfect!

We recently had our reception at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville in January 2020. As anyone can see the venue itself is absolutely beautiful inside and out, but what makes this venue so great is the people who work there and helped make your wedding perfect. We started off working with Becky, who was great – worked with us to select a date (would let us know if others were also looking at that date), quick at responding to emails and answered all our initial questions. About halfway through the wedding planning Becky left and Taylor took over helping us. At first we were concerned about the change since we had been working with Becky for 5-6 months already, but Taylor made the transition so smooth and we were instantly reassured everything would be taken care of and had nothing to worry about. Taylor was so easy to work with - great personality and extremely quick at responding to emails (usually within the hour no matter what time you sent it). Also, if for any reason Taylor was unavailable (rare), her boss Taryn stepped in to meet with us so we never skipped a beat. The whole staff was willing to work with us to make our day perfect, even the chefs. We had an extra hour between pictures and cocktail hour, and the chefs were able to work with us and serve the bridal party a small amount of all the appetizers prior to the cocktail hour which was perfect since there really is no time during cocktail hour for the bride and groom to eat. Becky and Taylor also gave us the idea of serving a mini mug shooter with some appetizers (for example, mini margarita with quesadillas or baby Guinness with sliders), which turned out to be a big hit. The one negative we encountered throughout the process was that the taste testing could only be done on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 12 (noon) or 2pm and they would not budge on those time frames, so you must take off work if you want to taste food before the wedding. But during the testing the chef also came out to meet with you and discuss the options which we found very helpful. Overall, such a great venue to have your wedding reception. Makes for stunning photos to look back on and the staff helps to ensure everything goes smoothly so you don’t have to worry!

Mistwood was a great venue to have my wedding at! I initially started with Becky, who was amazing! The booking process was easy and up front with pricing! Very easy to get in touch. You could tell she was experienced! Becky left and Taryn took over who was also easy to get in touch with. Beautiful outdoor and indoor venue for a wedding! Unfortunately it poured on our wedding day and we had to move the wedding indoors. I initially was told they would drop a curtain and decorate for the indoor wedding, however on the actual day, all they did was drop a white curtain-thank god my family was able to come up with last minute alter and decorations! Due to the heavy rain, it was very hard to move around the venue- first looks happen in a different building than where the bridal suite is, and there was no plan to help move the bridal party around without getting soaked!Created a lot of confusion and made it difficult to get in photos-I actually had to get some photos after dinner! I am thankful the tavern manager (I can’t remember her name now) saw me and my bridesmaids struggling in the rain and was able to help us get a covered golf cart to get my to my husband for first looks! I unfortunately was unable to move the bridesmaids out of the reception room due to rain and lack of available covered golf carts... I wish Mistwood or Taryn was better prepared for rain! However, the food was excellent- the serving staff and bar tenders were outstanding! The set up team worked wonders and it amazed me how fast they were able to turn the room around from the ceremony to the reception! I would recommend this venue-but I would recommend going over details if it rains (what decorations they will or won’t provide, and how to move around the venue since there are multiple buildings without getting soaked-sometimes an umbrella is not enough!) I would also recommend hiring a wedding coordinator to work along with the director of sales Mistwood provides!

Everything about our experience at Mistwood was easy and beautiful. We were always in close communication with Taryn. She was honest about things we did and didn’t need and tried her best to incorporate our vision without breaking the bank. She was easily accessible through email and with so much in our plate, made us feel like we had nothing to worry about the day of the wedding. Guests said the food was delicious and our pictures at this venue turned out beautiful. The only thing I did not like was having to take home everything the wedding instead of picking up the next day, but would still give 5 stars and recommend Mistwood to everyone! Mistwood has beautiful grounds, elegant interior, and quality service. We had an evening reception in October 2019. We began the process working with Becky who was absolutely awesome. Becky left Mistwood in June 2019 and Taryn took over. She gave quick replies, was very organized and helped see the event through until the end. You can expect prompt, helpful communication. Day of wedding we felt taken care of by the servers who were professional and knew what to do. We really wanted to give a full star rating but we can only give 3.5/5 (a reflection of our honest feelings) for reasons below. Here is feedback in hopes it will help others: - If service, aesthetics, and environment is important to you, Mistwood is a great option and will deliver. We will have stunning, lasting photos from that night. If these are your top priority, can't go wrong. - If food is important to you, this is sadly where we couldn't give a 5 star rating. Other reviews of Mistwood raved about the food which was a big reason we considered it. We and our family like and know good food. Although we are not food critics and would have been understanding of minor things, we were quite disappointed. I felt sad during the meal when I tried it, realizing this was being served to our guests. The majority of people we asked for honest feedback after also admitted they ate to be polite but it was not a great meal. We understand banquet food for 180 is difficult to do well, but just be aware it may be less than what you hoped and not the same as the tasting. Also if you love food, be very clear about your expectations before the event. We will omit specific food comments here but Taryn did give those notes to the kitchen. We really hope it will be better for others.  - Finally, in the transition between Becky and Taryn, there were some prices Becky had quoted that were different from what was charged. Taryn corrected it after we pointed it out and was fair about what was said previously. So just be vigilant checking over details and numbers. Overall, we try to look back and remember the happy parts of our day. But since you're paying a lot--the largest portion of your budget--for venue and food, we wanted to share honestly and wish everyone the best experience.

I could not have picked a better venue to have our wedding at. Everything was PERFECT. Taylor was absolutely amazing. She was in constant communication - she'd even email back after a long Saturday night after she worked a wedding. She was so committed to making our day so special. And it was SO special. I had a vision of a fall wedding and gathered some decorations but she put the vision all together. I didn't have to do anything! I easily dropped off the material and she made the space look amazing. She also answered all my crazy questions whether it was in bulk or a single question email. She was so accommodating and even let us set up meetings with her just to look at the space and imagine our wedding "vision". The venue space is beautiful. It's a rustic but sophisticated atmosphere. The accents of wood and almost medieval-like appearance made it so unique and special. It was nice and open. Our DJ was easily placed in the middle of the room. We enjoyed all the farm tables that gave us our fall look. Plenty of room for a variety of stations (desserts, photos, etc.) The view to the golf course was just breathtaking. We got to take advantage of the terrace during cocktail hour which made for great pictures for guest and ourselves. Nice for some fresh air with the amount of people we had too. The food was incredible. We were able to meet the Chef and make a personal connection with him and our menu. We got so many compliments not only for the taste but for the serving size. They provided so much food for each guest. The appetizers were unique and tasteful. The bartenders were so polite and quick! The course is beautiful for pictures. We were lucky that it was rainy the day before and it ended up being closed for easier movement around the course. There are so many beautiful spots to take pictures - we would've been out there for hours. I wish we did! :) There was nothing that went wrong! I cannot express how amazing Mistwood was for a wedding. I recommend it for anyone! We live in the neighborhood and have already been back to the restaurant there to remise our special day. We also will continue to participate in the events they hold there because of how special they made us feel. I cannot express how amazing this experience was with Mistwood and the staff (especially Taylor). I wish I could repeat the night over and over. Can we just do it all over again?! Thank you Mistwood for the incredible experience. You made the start of our marriage so wonderful.

Mistwood Golf Club is so beautiful. My husband and I were so lucky to have our wedding reception there. We received so many complements about the hall, food, staff and drinks. The coordinator, Becky was amazing and so helpful with everything. We couldn't be any happier with our wedding. The golf course was such a great place to have a lot of our pictures taken as well. The scenery was just perfect!! I HIGHLY recommend Mistwood Golf Club for weddings, wedding showers, or any event! We loved every minute of it!

Mistwood was a beautiful venue! Everything we needed was available and Diane is excellent to work with. We were even provided a small plate of our cocktail hour food so my husband and I actually got to try it!

We made the absolute best choice having our wedding ceremony and reception at Mistwood Golf Club last month. It was the first venue we visited and when we left, my fiancé looked at me and said, “that’s where we are going to get married.” After many other venue visits, we couldn’t find anything more perfect for us. We wanted lots of windows and outdoor access for our guests, an outdoor ceremony with an easy back up plan, an interior that wouldn’t need much added to it to be pretty, and preferably be the only event happening there. Mistwood checked all our boxes! All of the preparation before the wedding was easy. Diane was so great to work with and answered my many questions promptly. The venue is perfect for pictures. It has so many beautiful spots for couples and group shots. Our guests cannot stop talking about how stunning the ceremony was on the patio. The course is such a great back drop that we did not ask our florist to bring much. It was better than I could have dreamed it. The cocktail hour did not disappoint either, with all of our guests loving the building, view from the porch area, and the food. I had given Diane a lot personal decorations the night before the wedding (seating chart frames, family photos, guestbook, signs, candles) and when I arrived the next day, they were displayed so beautifully throughout the whole space! The reception was so great for all our guests. We have a few family members with disabilities that needed specialty meals. Diane had the chef speak with us at our tasting and he was so willing to go above and beyond to accommodate. They were also willing to honor one of my close friend’s birthdays that was on our wedding day. All the staff was so kind and professional all night. The space was just beautiful for people to relax outside and still flow in to the party and dance floor. The last thing I will rave about is our late night snack! We had spoken to Diane about wanting to have soft pretzels with different dips and she jumped right on board. Her and her staff made us a soft pretzel wall with pretzels and dips created by the chef. It was amazing and our guests LOVED it. It was so fun and different! I can’t say enough good things about Mistwood. I don’t think I could have built a better place for us to get married. I can’t wait to go back for our anniversaries to McWethy’s!

I feel awful that this review is a year after the fact (our wedding was in July 2017). But even a year later, we continue to receive rave reviews from our friends and family about Mistwood. Everything was truly that amazing. To start, Becky was the kindest, most organized coordinator. She replied to all our questions quickly and thoroughly. Even when I was stressed with last minute details, Becky was the calm voice of reassurance, and I knew everything would be perfect. Of all the wedding stresses, the venue was never a point of worry because I knew Becky had everything impeccably organized and under control. Mistwood went out of their way working with my husband’s serious gluten allergy. They prepared a delicious gluten free alternative and ensured that his food (and our other guests with allergies) was prepared safely so he could enjoy the wedding. On that note, the food was not just good by “banquet” standards, it’s incredible by any restaurant standards. That’s quite a feat when you’re preparing salmon and chicken for 200 people! We had many people tell us that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The entire staff provided incredible service from the moment we inquired in 2016 to when the last guest left the reception. Mistwood worked professionally and efficiently with all our vendors, bringing everything together for the most magical, perfect day. In case it isn’t apparent from their website and photos, the golf course and inside of the building make for the most stunning bridal party and wedding photos you’ve ever seen. I know our guests and my husband and I will still be thinking about our incredible reception at Mistwood for years to come. From the very beginning of our venue search, Mistwood was clearly the best choice. I'm not much into golf, so at first I hesitated about looking at golf course venues, but Mistwood was so much more than that. It truly was a wonderful experience every step of the way. My husband and I had a fairy-tale of a night, and the guests continue to rave about the beauty of the venue, the food, and the overall experience of our wedding. Becky Edwards, in particular, is such an asset to Mistwood. She went way above and beyond in helping us to plan a memorable evening. She filled so many roles, was wonderfully understanding and accommodating, knew exactly how to maneuver all of the delicate social situations surrounding the merging of families, and made absolutely everything to do with planning the event fun and easy. She is so capable, my husband and I started joking that we should just "talk to Becky" if we had a life issue outside of the wedding which required expert organizational skills. Every time my (then) fiancee and I dropped in for a meeting or for dinner, she would make some thoughtful gesture, like dessert brought to us at the table. She wrote in chocolate on the plate herself. We were made to feel so welcomed and so valued. If we were to do it all over again, I would absolutely book our wedding with Mistwood. The evening itself ran like clockwork, and we have nothing but wonderful memories of our wedding. Thank you, Becky, and thank you Mistwood! We'll be back for dinner entirely too often! :)

Becky was great to work with. Whenever I had what I thought were stupid questions, wanted to change something or was behind on something, she was completely understanding and remained helpful through the whole planning process. The grounds are gorgeous for photos and the great hall used for receptions is beautiful. It’s a very unique golf club in my opinion. Definitely not just your average golf course venue. The food was on the great too. We had lots of compliments on the food as well as the venue.

Plain and simple... Book your wedding at Mistwood! Here I sit, just over a month past my wedding day, and I still cannot get over how perfect everything was. Each and every process was fun, easy, and carefully guided by Becky. Becky's responsiveness, attention to detail, and genuine good nature helped calm any and every nerve and instilled a confidence in all decision-making. THANK YOU BECKY! We hosted our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Mistwood and wouldn't change a thing. The food is outstanding and the staff are attentive and so fun to be around. The space is absolutely beautiful, and they go out of their way to be accommodating. They have some of their own decor pieces that they offer, like table numbers for the reception and lanterns for the rehearsal which were extremely helpful to me. For photos around the course, they provide a golf cart to the bride, groom, and photographer to ride out and snap the perfect shots. There is a wrap around porch that includes firepits, warmers, and an outdoor fireplace. These were all utilized and thoroughly enjoyed by all our guests in January! We have received so many compliments from our guests, it is hard to portray in this review. But we are oh so appreciative of everything Mistwood offered and cannot thank them enough for the most perfect day.

We got engaged at Mistwood and from that moment on Mistwood was so accommodating. We then decided to get married there as well and we worked with Becky Edwards who was AMAZING. Our wedding was last weekend and the venue was spectacular. Everyone raved about how pretty it was and about the food. Becky made everything so easy, its like having a built in wedding planner. Honestly nothing bad to say about this venue!

My husband and I had our reception here on Sept 1st. We worked with Diane as our coordinator and she rocked! She was always easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. They set up the room perfectly and made sure everything went smoothly. This place is gorgeous since they renovated the great hall. the terrace room for the cocktail hour was a huge hit. and the food was AMAZING! I am so happy my husband is a member here and we celebrated here because it was perfect!

We cannot put into words how amazing our Sales Coordinator, Becky, was to work with for our big day! Everything was amazing and Becky and the whole team at Mistwood truly ran a flawless event for Sean and I. From the start, we knew Mistwood would be far different than any other venue and each and every guest commented on how amazing everything and everyone was- from the service, to the food, and to the beautifully upkept grounds and the venue overall. Becky was so patient and professional with us throughout the planning process and executed our vision in a fashion that none can compare to. I absolutely fell in love with Mistwood the moment I stepped on the grounds last July. At the time I was in search of a location for my wedding ceremony and reception and was sold the moment I saw the space and venue. The venue was not only perfect, but the staff was extraordinary as well. I worked with Becky Edwards throughout the 10 months of planning up until my memorial day weekend wedding. She was down to earth, honest, and quick to respond to any of my questions. She had constant communication via email and phone whenever something came up that she needed to run past me. I felt involved in the whole planning process. On my actual wedding day, Becky along with the rest of the Mistwood event staff were beyond helpful! They set up all my decorations beautifully, communicated clearly, and made the day an absolute dream come true! The Mistwood staff made my dream wedding day come true and I could not be more grateful!

My husband and I signed with Mistwood before seeing the final space. Mistwood was in the process of building a whole new venue/restaurant building and when we signed the contract we only had small descriptions on how it would look. When we finally saw everything completed, it blew us away. The venue, golf course, club house and restaurant are simply breathtaking!! Throughout the planning process, my main contact, Diane Cook, was awesome. I would ask several little (probably annoying) questions on a weekly basis but Diane was always there to help. She would always respond quickly and even on the weekends. Diane, Becky and the rest of the staff at Mistwood was amazing! I NEVER (and I may be biased, since I was the bride) had better service than the people at Mistwood. They genuinely seemed happy to be there and happy to help with anything. They made sure everything was set up perfectly and they helped us clean up at the end of the night. They really went above and beyond when it came to service. Every single server that I saw during the night had a smile on their face! I am still amazed at how perfect everything was set up for us. You can tell that they take the time to make sure everything is impeccable. The little details that I trusted them with to make my wedding everything I dreamed it would be was achieved 10 times over. The small details that no one will remember, but the bride wants perfect; the guest book to the escort cards to our candy bar favors. Amazing! The grounds at Mistwood were in pristine condition for pictures. The club house and venue were perfect backdrops for pictures. Mistwood has several bridges and a gazebo that also worked perfectly for pictures as well. There won't be a lack of places to take pictures. The actual venue space is magnificent! It is a whole space in the building that is completely your own for your party and your guests. They close off part of the building that is connected to the restaurant. You have part of the terrace space that they open the doors to let fresh air in and guest can enjoy. It's a great space for cocktail hour when the weather is bad. It really allows your guests to get up and move and not have the feeling of being cramped. Inside the actual space is gorgeous. The room is so open and welcoming that your bound to have a great time in it. The fireplace is simply adorable and our Marquee sign fit perfectly on it. The designer of this building really hit a home run, because the whole building is incredible. I am going to recommend Mistwood to everyone I know! The whole experience was unbelievable, unforgettable and beyond anything I ever dreamed it could be. A month later and I am still hearing raving reviews of the venue, the cocktail hour, the food and most importantly how amazing our wedding was. We couldn't have accomplished any of this without the amazing people at Mistwood who helped make our dreams come true!

We had our wedding at Mistwood on 07/30/2016. It was PERFECT! Diane was great throughout the entire planning process - she answered all questions timely and accommodated each one of our requests. She was a huge help during the planning process. The venue itself is nothing less than BEAUTIFUL. Great picture locations, ceremony site is simply amazing, the Great Hall was perfect for our 200 guests. Food was great, drinks were strong, absolutely no complaints. Everything was ran smoothly - and they throw in just enough special touches to make the day go off without a hitch. Highly, highly recommend Mistwood!
