I wasn’t expecting to hire a planner but it ended up being required by our venue so I bit the bullet and started chatting with some. And WOW, working with Kayla and Kyla and having their help throughout the process was one of the best decisions we made!
They helped me think of things I didn’t even know I needed to think about - and I’m very type A so had spreadsheets galore. It was also incredibly nice to be able to enjoy the few months leading up to the wedding and not be scrambling. Everything felt so organized and seamless and I had fun working with them!
I’ve been in 7+ weddings and our rehearsal - run by Kayla and Kyla - was also the best run of any that I’ve been to. They’re so on it.
Highly highly highly recommend to anyone. Thank you both so much for making our day perfect!!
We hired Kayla and MK Events for our September wedding in Petaluma. We found MK Events through our wedding venue and booked the month of coordination package right after our first phone consult. We had booked her in 2019, pre-covid, and she was very flexible when we decided to change our wedding date. She provided lots of vendor options in the local area and was always willing to make phone calls on our behalf. We touched base via Zoom, texting, and phone in preparation and to give ideas when we were feeling stuck. The week and day of the wedding she and her assistant were an absolute life saver, from finding makeup artists in a pinch to lending a hand pouring wine for tables, she didn’t let us worry for a minute. All the table settings were arranged beautifully! When we went back the next day to pick up, her and her team had everything organized and easy for us to retrieve. She made our lives so much easier and truly cared about our wedding making sure everything went off without a hitch.
I am heartbroken. Kayla did our wedding in December. During cleanup, she ended up with family heirlooms we used for decorations. She won't return my calls, texts, emails, anything. I don't know what to do.... please, please Kayla, call me.
Where to begin?!
MK Events was awesome! We, like most couples I’m sure, were looking to save money but desperately needed help staying on top of the seemingly never ending to do list. We were looking for a “day of” coordinator to help us out and stumbled across MK Events and we are VERY happy we did!
First off,
I put in interest cards with a couple of coordinators and MK got back to me within minutes! Some of the other ones, I didn’t hear back from for a couple days. As soon as I talked to Kayla, I knew that my wife was gonna love her and we set up a meeting at the venue. Our “day of coordinator” was meeting with us MONTHS before the wedding and was personable, professional and was able to walk us through any questions of concerns we had.
After we locked MK Events down, our workload got much lighter and we had someone to call and get a quick and accurate response. This is a big deal for anyone planning a wedding because you really want to check things off and not have to circle back on list items. Kayla amd Vanessa allowed us to do that.
Kayla has great connections all over on the industry and uses her creativity to work with your budget. For example, my wife wanted a eucalyptus garland and when we saw the price, we thought we would have to do without it but Kayla worked her magic and made my wife’s dream come true!
We now consider Kayla and Vanessa family. The wedding was amazing and we are so thankful that MK Events was a part of it. Go with MK Events! You won’t be disappointed.

What an amazing day we had.
We went with full service and were blown away by the calming presence each of the girls possessed. Our day was JUST as we visioned it plus more. The ideas the girls gave us were spot on. No matter how dumb my questions were throughout the process they answered it with grace. Couldn't be happier with the MK team. Special thank you to Vanessa who was my go to girl throughout.
Working with Vanessa was a dream. Every part of the process was seamless. Her calm demeanor made my husband and I so comfortable. We knew we could trust her to work her magic. Our day went amazing and all bumps were smoothed our immediately. Couldn't have asked for a better full service team.
I just want to THANK YOU for such a flawless day. You guys went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. We had Kayla & Vanessa as our planner duo and absolutely LOVE them. They always went the extra mile to ensure we were on track, and ready for the big day. I can't THANK YOU BOTH Enough. The execution was phenomenal, timing was seamless and all the guest left happy, dancing, and blown away! Thank you MK Events & Vanessa + Kayla for a wedding not only we will never forget but my guests as well!
We cannot thank these girls enough. Not only did we feel confident and comfortable the whole time, our wedding went so smoothly our guests were blown away! We created an amazing friendship with these girls and couldn't be happier.

Hired these ladies really last minute when I HAD to have a day of coordinator at my venue. So happy I did. What a wonderful experience, very professional and quick to respond to all my emails, texts, and late phone calls. They managed with only two weeks time to turn it all around for me. We loved these girls and highly recommend them.
My fiancé and I just finished the wedding planner search. After looking around for a long while we stumbled upon MK Events. Working with Vanessa has been a dream. She's so great. She's listening to every single detail and making sure we are on track with everything. They gave us these amazing bridal checklists to keep us on track as well. Contracted as day of coordinators they went way above that ensuring the most perfect day we could have ever imagined! As a corporate events manager I walked in knowing that events are stressful. I did not want to do this alone, I wanted to enjoy my big day! Vanessa exceeded our expectations beyond belief. I had been looking around for a planner for a while, but the girls at MK truly have a logistical and design style that in my opinion is unmatched! Whenever someone asks me for wedding planner recommendations without hesitations I point them to MK. These ladies were so fabulous. Great personality, communication was stellar, and peace of mind was given always. I worked with Madison directly, and she was such a pleasure to work with. All three lovely ladies were there to execute my big day and I was so thrilled. We used Feast alongside them and what a great duo!

From start to finish I felt like her top priority. Kayla was so great, she helped through any indecisiveness on little details, aided me through all of my stress. Was always very prompt with replying even after hours. Day of went so great. No hiccups, all the vendors she proposed were amazing to work with. Couldn't have asked for a better vendor list. Thank you for making my dreams come to life! 10/10 recommend to any brides wanting to relax during the process.
If I must say, these ladies were a blast to work with! Very professional, very detail oriented, and communication was always clear! We loved them at Feast, and we are so excited to work with them again for our nieces wedding this September.
We were so on the fence about getting a wedding planner. When tasks started piling up, we stumbled upon MK Events and I am SO glad that I did! My husband and I kept teetering between a full service or partial. After our consultation I was so relieved and we decided to go all out. BEST DECISION. They worked as a team to create so many visions, exceeded what I had originally envisioned. They were extremely helpful from start to finish. The whole day went amazing, from start to finish it was more then I could have ever dream of. Overall Mk Events was so passionate about my visions, always available to listen to my crazy ideas, and always happy to direct me. We are so happy to have worked with them. So if you are to on the fence about getting a wedding planner....DO IT.
Kayla was AMAZING!
Amazing at what she does- calming, collected and fabulous demeanor. She was very organized, punctual, and always had a smile on her face. We are absolutely looking forward to more weddings in the family & will refer her and MK Events to anyone needing a planner!
Madison was an amazing person to work with. Every aspect of the night went amazingly. We found them by reaching out to Feast Catering (who also did a wonderful job). We initially thought we weren't going to need a planner, but after getting overwhelmed with all the details we caved. BEST DECISION EVER. We felt as we could relax, enjoy our engagement and focus on our nerves of our vows instead of the stress of planning.
