If I could give 100 stars, I would. Megan's attention to detail and cheerful presence is unmatched. When saying goodbye to her at the end of our wedding day, I felt like I was saying goodbye to an old friend. She just brought us so much comfort, joy and support. She brought our vision to life while giving us the advice we needed to make it a stress free occasion. Even when we had an unexpected heat wave, she had a backup plan for everything and made sure our guests were comfortable. We had many vendors due to the nature of our venue and she was a vector of information and support for everyone. Moving forward, I plan on telling every person I know that is getting married to give her a call, even if it is just for a chat.
From the very first meeting, Megan exuded professionalism, warmth, and an unparalleled understanding of the wedding industry. She was a joy to work with and we cannot recommend her enough!

The weekend of our wedding she was an absolute rockstar. Megan and her team handled every detail with grace and efficiency, leaving us free to enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. Hire Megan, you will not regret it! Simply put, she built us a wedding that exceeded our dreams in every way. I had no idea the level of detail and thought that went into planning a wedding, but Megan knew every in and out, which made planning with her an absolute breeze. She was able to take the bits and pieces we had envisioned and create the most stunning and wonderful day. She attends to every last detail and has an eye for refinement and beauty. On the day of the wedding, we were truly able to relax and enjoy every moment because she had absolutely everything under control. She even brought electric fans to cool us off in between pictures when the weather spiked over 90 degrees! If you have a vision, but don’t know how to bring it to life, Megan is your girl. On top of all that, she is super fun and just a lovely person. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Megan is a phenomenal planner, coordinator, decorator and person. She made my wedding planning so easy and picked up the loose ends flawlessly. I wasn’t concrete on my vision for the reception decor, and she took all my scattered ideas and created a stunning space!! We are so thrilled and continue to get compliments to this day.
I was an absolute train wreck of a bride until we found Megan! I was overwhelmed with decision fatigue and juggling all the tasks that come along with planning a wedding. As soon as she came on board the planning became less stressful and more enjoyable! From being our advocate with vendors, to adding her extra décor for beautifying our tables, to sewing me into my dress when my mom’s hands got shaky with nerves – she was a delight to work with. One of our only wedding regrets was not hiring Megan sooner!
Megan you are simply the best. One of the best decisions we made was having a weekend coordinator. We planned our October 2023 wedding in New York from Colorado and Megan was simply amazing to work with. She helped make things go simply and smoothly. She went out of her way to find things we needed hours before the wedding. She also helped decorate and move things from the ceremony to the reception. At the end of the night she packed up all of our stuff and really went above and beyond for us. She truly helped us along the way and answering all questions or suggestions for us to make the day go

Planning a New York wedding from Los Angeles was stressful and I was worried the stress was going to spill over to our wedding weekend but none of that happened. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had Megan and her team by my side throughout my wedding planning journey. My fiancé and I took several trips back to New York to plan and tour the venue. Megan met us at the venue each time. The communication, whether by email, text, or Zoom really gave me the peace of mind I needed.
Megan possesses so much knowledge of the local vendors, which was invaluable when we were faced with the daunting task of planning a wedding from a distance. She had previously worked with every single one of our vendors, which was awesome! She is an absolute pro at coordinating every detail, ensuring that we had the perfect experience while incorporating our unique vision.
One of the standout features of Megan's service was their meticulous attention to detail. Every flower arrangement, every table setting, every disco ball and paper lantern for ceremony and reception was executed flawlessly. From setting up to cleaning up, Megan and her team were incredible. The support I had was priceless! I highly recommend adding MLH Events to your wedding vendor team!
We decided on using "The Tour Guide" partial planning package and it worked exactly for what we wanted. Megan was involved, informative, and reasuring throughout the entire process and I would trust her with basically any/every aspect of our wedding. She listened to us, understood what we wanted, and advocated for us. It ended up being exactly what we wanted and I had so much confidence in her throughout the entire weekend. I was saying to people that having her felt like I had a "security blanket" always around and knew everything was in good hands.
They also went above and beyond on behalf of us: for example there was a decoration malfunction during set, but Megan fought to have it fixed and ensured the decorations we had our heart set on were done in time for the reception.

Megan is a wedding GODESS! She was instrumental in securing and coordinating with vendors which took all the stress off of me and I got to enjoy the process. She was behind the scenes during the entire week of our wedding making sure everything was perfect. We had massive rain on our day and Megan went right into action on “plan b” to make sure everything was dry and still as beautiful as or original plan. Our day would not have gone on if it weren’t for her. I’m so thankful for her and her team and would recommend her to anyone!
Megan Hiltbrand added an incredible layer of support to our wedding. She was an invisible force working behind the scenes, and yet she was right there when we needed her throughout the wedding day and beyond. She was accessible throughout the planning process, even though we booked her “wedding weekend warrior” package. She coordinated with all our vendors to set up our reception, ran the ceremony rehearsal, and worked with our musicians and sound technician to troubleshoot when we had a bit of misty rain on the day of our outdoor wedding. If you can believe it, I actually had time to relax with family the day before the wedding, thanks to Megan’s help. It was such a gift. It felt like she was right by my side throughout the wedding day, even though I knew she was running all over the place. When we got home after the reception, we realized that she even managed to deliver gifts and leftover food to our home while the reception was going on. She went above and beyond to take the logistics off our plate and make sure that small but essential details were taken care of. Working with her was like having another friend helping with the wedding - one who knew exactly what she was doing.
When my husband and I were starting to plan our 3-day Indian wedding we were really focused on making sure that our family and friends enjoyed the event and that we could too. Megan and her team at MLH Events are simply the best! We used her ‘wedding weekend warrior’ package and let me tell you… they lived up to the name! For someone who doesn’t need the entire wedding planning package, or can’t afford it, this is a great option. Not only do they set EVERYTHING up for you and then pack everything up at the end of the night, you also get to meet with Megan on more than one occasion prior to the wedding, and she is there to answer questions throughout the process. She is extremely organized, and thorough. They were there from start to finish, making sure everything was executed perfectly. Having MLH Events on board was the reason I was able to enjoy my entire wedding day start to finish and had zero stress about the details. Not only is Megan amazing at what she does, but she’s also one of the sweetest and most hard working people I have ever met. She truly wants the best for her couples and it shows.

Megan and her team were phenomenal — I can’t recommend them enough. We got married at an incredible venue but had to bring in all our own vendors and do lots of set up ourselves. Megan was the absolute best — taking my vague ideas on what I liked and creating a beautiful wedding aesthetic and setting everything up in a way that felt so us! She is so on top of it and sees to all the little details, taking things off of your plate. We worked with Olivia on her team for the day of and she was also incredible - always there when we needed her but also never made me feel overwhelmed. We truly had the best day of our lives thanks to Megan and team! Can’t recommend enough!
Megan was amazing to work with. She truly helped create my dream wedding. I can honestly say the best wedding I have ever been to was my own. All the vendors she set up meetings with were in budget and amazing. The day of the wedding ever thing ran on time. I even as the bride had 15 minutes to relax before the ceremony. If you want your wedding to be amazing you need Megan by your side.
Megan was the most amazing wedding planner and truly got us through rescheduling our wedding 3 times (due to covid)! When our wedding happened, it was magical and wouldn't have been possible without Megan. She was with us every step of the way in terms of helping us form a timeline, provide us with top notch vendors, and truly was there for me whenever I had a question (and she was beyond supportive regardless of how silly the question was!). The wedding of our dreams truly wouldn't have become a reality without her and I will forever be touched and grateful for her. I would recommend her hands down to anyone.
Megan and her team are awesome! Hiring MLH Events was probably the best decision that I made throughout our entire wedding planning process. Megan was there every step of the way. I emailed, texted, called and FaceTimed with her on multiple occasions. In addition, she met with me and some of our other vendors, including our florist, to ensure that all our design pieces were exactly what we wanted. She was responsive and insightful.
The week leading up to our wedding was incredibly hectic and chaotic. I felt like I had a million things to do and Megan stepped in and contacted all of my vendors to ensure they knew where to go and what time to be at the venue to set up. She also helped me create a "day of" timeline that was so incredibly helpful. A few months before our wedding, I was a bridesmaid in another wedding and the entire morning everything felt incredibly chaotic, we were super late and we were unable to get pictures because of how behind schedule we were. With the timeline that Megan created for our wedding, we were able to stay on track and my bridesmaids and I were even ready a few minutes early. Everything just went so smooth.
At the ceremony and reception, Megan and her team were there to help make sure everything was just right. She even helped some of our guests. My mom and grandmother RAVED about how wonderful MLH Events is. I cannot express how happy and satisfied we were with their service. Do not think twice about hiring them to help you with your special day. You will not regret it.
Megan and her team are absolutely wonderful to work with! She goes above and beyond to make certain the planning and wedding day are stress free and goes as smoothly as possible. Her wedding day timeline, which involved all of our vendors, made planning for the big day so much easier and less stressful. Megan and her team were absolutely amazing during the wedding planning process! Because of COVID, we moved our wedding a full year and even had to change venues, and they helped us through all of that. Megan and Kayla jumped on several calls with me and my Mom to go through different details, so I felt completely at ease on the day of. They decorated the venue exactly how I had pictured it and everything went so smoothly thanks to them!! Definitely hire MLH Events!!

Despite the huge ups and downs of planning for a wedding during COVID, Megan broke the process down so it felt manageable (and even enjoyable). My husband and I were extremely impressed by how Megan went the extra mile for planning our special day (she went to flea markets to pick out vintage items for our centerpieces!). The day of our wedding, we couldn't have been in better hands to have everything run smoothly. Megan has our highest recommendation if you're looking for the best wedding planner in the Syracuse area (or elsewhere!).
My wife and I are SO HAPPY we found Megan! She definitely went above and beyond with coordinating our wedding and making sure the day turned out to be a dream come true. When COVID changed my wedding plans for the third time and I found myself moving my event to the backyard, I had no clue where to start. One phone call to Megan put my mind at ease. She went above and and beyond with vendor coordination, creating a timeline and vision, and keeping me and my flighty brain on track in prep for the big day. Day of the event Megan and her girls worked their tails off with set up, coordination, and breakdown. She transformed our backyard space into a beautiful venue. Guests were complimenting everything all day and night! Without her, the wedding would have felt like an unorganized BBQ and our friends and family would have been working all day instead of enjoying. Just hire her! :-) Thank you, Megan!!!!

I was someone who would never have imagined that I needed a wedding planner. I happen to have a partner who is organized, type-A, and super on-top-of-things. However, having someone with you while you're planning an event (that you've never planned before) is necessary! I would now tell EVERYONE who is getting married that they need MEGAN as a wedding planner.
Megan thinks of every detail. She put tissues in my bouquet before I walked down the aisle. She made sure the sage green we chose for the napkins matched the color on the runners. She joined us on Zoom for every meeting with our vendors. She allows the couple to take charge where they want to, but can run the show at a moments notice.
Most importantly for me, when there was drama between a friend, my parents and Covid, Megan always made me feel that everything would be ok. She was right. We had the most incredible day of our lives and it would NOT have run the way it did if we didn't have Megan.
Megan, we cannot thank you enough.
Megan and her team were the absolute DREAM TEAM. The weekend of our wedding was more than I could have ever imagined! There was not one detail they left out and my mom, sister and I did not have to worry about one thing. They made sure the entire day went as planned and we did not miss a beat. The morning of her and her team were so on top of everything! It's the things you do not think about like all of the vendors showing up morning of the wedding and showing them what to do and making sure they get paid, and making sure you and the groom and the wedding party are in the right place at the right time, cleaning up gifts after the wedding, making sure the food is coming out on time and to the right tables first. They were in charge of EVERYTHING! If you want to have the best day of your life without having to worry about a single thing the day of and weekend of, you must hire MLH. I would recommend Megan and her team over and over again! Best money spent!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Megan at MLH events is. I'm the Wedding Director for the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, and have been for about 5 years. Weddings are my specialty, my passion and my career. I knew I wanted to be able to enjoy my new role as a Bride, but knew it would be hard for me to let go of doing everything myself. For me to trust someone implicitly to execute my vision is no easy task. There was only 1 person in central NY I trusted with my biggest day. That professional is MLH. Megan truly understands Wedding planning isn't her clients day job. She takes the time to explain and help couples understand certain traditions, timelines, menu options ect... We could not of asked for more for our wedding – Megan went above and beyond. She took the time to get to know us as a couple before sitting down to detail out our Wedding weekend. It was so personal and true to us and Megan delivered it so beautifully on the day. It did not go unnoticed with the guests either – we had so many compliments about how special and unique it was was. We cannot thank Megan enough for giving us such special memories to look back on. I knew I didn't need to worry about a thing for the reception.. I felt fully confident everything would be set to my high expectations and of course those expectations were exceeded with her special touches. We don't think we could of found a more friendly, talented, eloquent and lovely planner if we tried, we highly recommend her!
2020, the year of the Covid Bride. Our first venue balked when our 175 person guest list was reduced to 50 and we insisted on keeping live music. The second venue was all in until three weeks before the wedding date when they too panicked at the thought of live music possibly leading to dancing. Despite assurances that we would maintain social distancing guidelines, wear masks and test all the guests, they suggested we opt out of the live music and instead substitute a storyteller, or perhaps have a trivia contest. Seriously. Enter Megan, truly a force to be reckoned with. In three weeks, with only the band, florist and photographer still hanging in there, she secured a massive tent, stage and dance floor, a caterer, bartenders, trailered in bathrooms, a generator, outdoor heaters, and proceeded to orchestrate everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour, music, bar, and dessert table to the after-party pizza. And all of this happening in my front yard...... and Meg was there every step of the way. Stuffing guest gift boxes, supervising the florist, setting up the arbor, and even rolling into Home Depot the morning of the wedding to pick up decorative stones to fill a gap in the dance floor. Meg and her staff were magically there when you needed them, but remarkably invisible everywhere else. She has different levels of involvement and we chose the highest level for this event. Last year my older daughter was married and we required a different package level. In both cases she was worth every penny. She has a wealth of connections and is respected by the vendors. She is quick witted and tough and has your back. Pity the vendor that crosses her. Her itinerary scheduled the wedding day to the second, with references for music selections and vendor contacts and it ran like clockwork.
So eliminate wedding stress. There's no reason the bride or her parents should be running around herding vendors on a day you should be enjoying. That's Meg's job and she's damn good at it. Hire Meg and actually have fun at your wedding.
I’m a Wedding florist and I work with a ton of Vendors year round. I have a high end brand and I’m very particular about Vendor recommendations and I’m a hard gal to impress because I’m in the business myself and see it all. With that said, I’ve worked with Megan on 2 separate occasions now and I’ve been beyond impressed both times. She is incredibly hard working and thorough, she’s easygoing and pleasant to work with and she takes care of everything! She really goes above and beyond and it’s so evident that she cares about each and every couple she works with. Throughout this passed year, with all the changes that COVID forced, I’ve had every single one of my events change drastically. I’ve received communications from planners throughout this but none were as thorough, prompt, helpful and resourceful as Megan! She is literally the only planner that has ever impressed me this much. I cannot recommend her enough!!
When I hired MLH events last December for my October 2020 wedding, I had no idea how much I would have needed them! Between planning and changing those plans (several times) because of state regulations during the pandemic, Megan was always there for me. Megan and Kenzie were so amazing day of. I literally didn’t have to worry about a thing and they made everything so seamless for me. No brainer about hiring MLH for your event. I couldn’t have done it without them.
Megan and MLH events did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job. Our wedding honestly could not have happened without them.
Even though we only signed up for the wedding coordination services, Megan was very supportive and involved throughout the entire planning process. She was responsive and very available to work with (even long distance as we were in Chicago and having the wedding in the Syracuse area). What I liked most about Megan’s style was she drew the perfect balance between letting us have the wedding we wanted while offering suggestions, recommendations, and her point of view on how the day could go.
When it came time for lights, cameras, action - Megan and team brought their A+ game. Not only did the wedding flow and run seamlessly from rehearsal dinner through goodbye brunch, but Megan and her team rose to the occasion and pulled through in so many beautiful ways. Two that stand out - for me, I was wearing a bow tie and learned as I was getting dressed not one of my groomsman knew how to tie it. Megan was on it and tied the tie for me. She also had grown to intimately know us, and knew I was nervous about how my hair was going to look. Megan constantly before the ceremony came over and adjusted my hair to keep it the way I wanted. On the other hand, she knew my wife was much different than me. Megan didn’t get too much in my wife’s way before the wedding, but came up HUGE when somehow her wedding dress got a dirt stain on it (funny enough, this was concealed from my wife by her bridesmaids - good call!). Megan came with her emergency kit and covered the entire thing - my wife didn’t even know until 2 days later when one of her bridesmaids told her.
In summary, Megan did such a great job getting to know us as individuals and brought that knowledge to bear along with all of her experience. I can’t say enough great things about Megan and her team - that were amazing!!!
My husband and our families feel SO incredibly lucky to have had Megan as such a special part of our big day! From the moment we met her, we knew that we needed to have her as our coordinator for our wedding at RedBarn20. She and her team were so professional, kind and enthusiastic - we truly could not have asked for more! Not only did Megan and her team help to create the most beautiful day, but she coordinated with our vendors the week before and the day of, secured my broken bustle, held my dress as we walked the property for our photographs and pinned back my bridesmaids and my hair after a night on the dance floor! Megan is a dream to work with! So professional, so smart, so fun, and so so on top of ALL of it! Every single person in our bridal party loved her and couldn't say enough good things about her! She is organized and keeps things moving, all while being so pleasant and engaging. She worked with me through the course of several in person meetings and over the phone to make sure everything was on track for the big day. I remember our introductory meeting, she drove the extra 45 minutes to meet me at a halfway point. We spent about an hour talking about the wedding and laying down a timeline. After we left, my fiance (husband), was like, "Do you feel better now? She is great!" I was having so much anxiety about planning up until that point, but after hiring and meeting Megan, it was like I could breathe again! And she made sure everything went smoothly prior to the wedding and on the day too! She even stayed late to make sure every last guest got on the last (and late) shuttle! And dropped off our flowers at our brunch venue for the next morning. Needless to say, Megan goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding is everything you dreamed it would be. Oh! Megan helped to make our dream wedding a reality! She is so meticulous with her planning and had every detail nailed down. It was also so clutch to have her there on wedding day. She made the day run flawlessly. I am forever grateful for the experience she helped us have.
My husband and I met with Megan for the first time about 1 year before the wedding and we went for the "all in" package due to busy work schedules. We definitely corresponded more in the 6 months leading up to the wedding, but she was invaluable to us and the wedding weekend events in countless ways. We used her connections to book nearly every vendor aside from from our videographer and live band. She made it incredibly easy to have her facilitate and take care of communication amongst vendors as well as contract review. She had worked multiple times at our venue (Wolf Oak Acres) and knew the property down to the wire. She came with us to almost every vendor meeting (even if those meetings lasted up to 3 hours), and was there every step of the way, bringing up relevant points and questions that we never would have thought of. She definitely wore many hats aside from coordinator, she was a good friend and confidant, even a therapist at times! After the wedding we had unbelievable feedback from our family and friends, saying things like it was "the best wedding they'd ever been to," "never had more fun at a wedding" or even "these were some of the best days of our lives." We attribute all of those words and more to her, and there is no way everything would have run as smoothly without her and her team. We hired Meghan as a day-of coordinator about 3 ½ months before our wedding – after we'd already selected our other vendors, purchased a lot of our decor, and really finalized our vision for the style we wanted. Our venue required we bring everything in and didn’t provide much support, but we were initially thinking we could handle everything ourselves. We are really glad we hired Meghan and didn’t try to DIY the whole thing!
After a few conversations, she had a good handle on what our vision was and she took it to the next level, bringing in additional décor and doing a phenomenal job of styling the décor that we had picked out, suggesting a few details that we had forgotten to plan. She and her team did all the set-up and styling and made sure our venue was absolutely gorgeous on the day of. She also helped us think through the sequence of events for our ceremony and reception, moments for which we needed to select songs, what kind of sound equipment we’d need on site, etc. In addition, she was extremely professional and organized when coordinating things with all of our vendors leading up to the big day, talking through all the logistics with them and making sure they had everything covered. She kept us, our family, the wedding party, and our vendors organized to the minute on the day-of with a very detailed itinerary. Meghan and her team made sure that we were all comfortable and enjoying every detail of our special day. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. She even made sure our marriage certificate was properly signed and sent in to the Town Clerk! (Our officiant was a close friend who’d recently been ordained online and this was his first wedding.) Her team also did the tear down at the end of the night, grouping together everything for the various vendors and us to pick up the next day.
We strongly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding, especially if you’re working in a venue that doesn’t provide that kind of support. She made our day a breeze.
Every Bride-to-be needs Megan in their wedding planning lives! Megan was truly a joy to work with as a person and a life saver the day of. From the beginning of the planning process to the end, she is there for you and all of your questions/worries. We were a pretty relaxed couple (at least we think we were) when it came to planning, not too tied up in details. At our first meeting, Megan picked up on this and helped us through the process. She thinks of every detail, literally everything, and asks for your opinion. She is very respectful of all of your decisions and does not push anything on you. She will meet with you and your venue liaison all together to ensure no leaf is left unturned. The day of, Megan and her team are there with smiles and water bottles : ) They really make the day stress free knowing there is someone (not the gracious aunt or family friend) to take care of all of the behind the scenes. This key detail made a world of a difference! All of our family and friends were able to enjoy themselves the entire weekend. Our groomsmen nicknamed them "the wedding squad" joking that we had hired secret service for the day. I can't say enough good things about Megan herself and all of the MLH Events team! 100% recommend to everyone for their princess weekend : )
I hired Megan to help us out with a family wedding. None of us live in the Syracuse anymore, and I felt we needed help in 2 areas: we would use her as a back-up to help us replace a vendor in case one of them needed to back out at the last minute, and secondly, to manage everything beginning wither the rehearsal and ending with the end of the reception.
Luckily, we never needed to use her for the first reason.
However, did we ever need her for the second reason!
Megan was terrific in helping us plan and coordinate everything right up to the rehearsal. She had several meetings with the bride and groom to make sure she understood their vision for the big day. She made all of the follow-up phone calls to the vendors to make sure they would be where they needed to be on time. They were!
She really helped organize the rehearsal on Friday, and Saturday, she and her team were everywhere, doing everything! The great thing is that they almost seemed invisible! There is not one thing I would change.
Especially noted, she has requested some loose, extra flowers from the florist. She beautifully arranged these on the head table in a very casual, almost strewn way, but my gosh, they were beautiful!
I cannot thank Megan and her team enough for making our family wedding perfect, beautiful, and seamless! Hire her and yours will be wonderful too.
I wasn’t sure I needed help from a planner and if it was worth the money but knew I had made the right decision after my first meeting with Megan. She put me right at ease with her experience and confidence! On the day of the wedding (and the week leading up to it) Megan and her team were a well oiled machine! I worried about nothing and neither did my bridal party. They managed everything including a transition from the church to reception, ensured everyone was having a good time and assisted with all the logistics and vendors. It was amazing! I had some many people come up to me afterwards and also rave about Megan- they were so impressed with how fantastic they were and how they helped bring my wedding vision to life. I can’t thank her enough for all she did to make our day so special!!
I keep telling all of my engaged friends, “you need a Megan!”. From our first meeting with Megan, my husband and I were so impressed with how extremely thorough she was and how she just seemed to “get” our vision for our wedding day. Over phone calls and emails from afar Megan was so helpful in answering our many questions and putting our wedding stress at ease. Every time I got off the phone with her I felt instantly relieved because I knew Megan had everything under control. When it came to our wedding day, Megan arrived with two of her assistants who were equally lovely and energetic and they made sure everything went absolutely perfect from decorating the venue, coordinating vendors, to making sure shoes were tied before walking down the aisle. Are you getting married? HIRE MEGAN!!! Other than saying "I do" to the man of my dreams, hiring Megan was the best decision we made in this entire wedding planning process. There were countless times where my mom and I looked at each other and asked "HOW could we have done any of this without Megan?" She thinks of every last detail, and then some. She brought in all the personal touches a wedding needs, and kept us on path with what a wedding celebration really is about - US getting married! As you are probably starting to realize, this wedding planning thing is stressful AF. Megan allowed me to be that "chill bride" we all strive to be. Our day was greater than the wedding of my dreams, and it was all due to Megan and her team. Now that it's all over, I'm so sad I won't be seeing her regularly. I feel like I gained a true friend and I'm going to miss her so much!
We hired Megan to help us the day of our daughter's wedding. She became the linchpin that held us all together and that made for an incredible and joyous celebration. Megan started helping us long before the wedding day: she provided us with the most thorough wedding check list; she resolved issues between the bride/groom & us, the bride's parents; she recommended vendors; and was always calm & wise. At the Rehearsal, we relied totally on Megan, as she led us through the dry run--even the minister followed her lead! Megan, and her team, worked like a well-oiled machine the next day. She came up with creative solutions to a couple of problems-- they were weather-related. At the reception, a friend asked me how I could be so calm? The answer was that Megan had everything under control and I knew that I could trust her completely. I am a former events planner and I feel that Megan provided us with the gold standard of planning and care.
Megan is such a gem!! My husband and I live in Chicago and decided we would get married in the Thousand Islands near his hometown. Planning a wedding from afar became a bit overwhelming, until I met Megan! I found Megan through Weddingwire and from the start she was helpful, upfront, and made me feel so much better about planning our wedding. She scheduled calls with me to review our plans, and then put together her idea of how the day should go. Two weeks before the wedding, I had a last minute trip that allowed me to visit the venue. She met me there to discuss all of our plans. This was soooo helpful. I felt at ease. Now to the day of the wedding, she had everything covered! I never worried! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT from coordinating the vendors, the rehearsal practice the night before, the set up of the venue (STUNNING), the take down, the organization of the buses - EVERYTHING. I chose the whole shebang package from MLH events and it was completely worth it! Megan and her team were absolutely sensational! I had a HUGE family wedding to plan at my parents farm, it was a large task to take on- Megan had to build me a venue from scratch and accommodate A LOT of different ideas and thoughts from my family and she did everything so well! Many of my friends and family said it was one the most unique and well organized weddings they had ever been to. Megan made the day amazing for us, would highly recommend!

For those that know me, know that I am a HIGHLY organized and detail oriented person. Therefore, you can imagine how hands on I was with the planning of my wedding. I still felt that I needed professional guidance along the way and on the actual day of. My venue recommended MLH Events to me when I was starting out in the planning stages, and it is the best thing that could have ever happened to us. Megan took note of how involved I was in the details, embraced it, and was on top of her game the entire time. Megan (perfectly) brought our classy/elegant/timeless vision to life. To quote our venue after our wedding took place, "We must tell you that the ballroom has never been decorated like that before. Absolutely immaculate." That is all thanks to Megan. We were able to fill in unique touches such as our wedding favors and wedding song, all thanks to Megan's creative mind and our love for the TV show "Friends." On top of all of these details, Megan had nearly a 300 person wedding to orchestrate with a 24 person bridal party. Numerous vendors too. Let me tell you, she did it beautifully. When it was time to cut the cake, pose for a new picture, enjoy our first dance, whatever it was...it was as if Megan appeared out of thin air like an angel with a gentle reminder over my shoulder, "it's time." That was the greatest gift. I did not have to worry about connecting the dots on the day of my wedding. Megan did it all. I also need to note how phenomenal Megan's assistants were on the day of our wedding. If I needed something, they were RIGHT there every single time and it was taken care of instantly. They were absolutely phenomenal. As an attentive person, I trusted Megan and her team to the point where I could let go of all the structure and planning in my head, and enjoy my wedding day. Our guests are STILL raving about how it was "the best and most beautiful wedding we have ever been to, and we've been to A LOT of weddings!" It truly was the most magical, best day of mine and my husband's life. We owe all of this to MLH Events. At the end, we did not view Megan as our wedding planner. She became part of our family. I highly, HIGHLY recommend MLH Events for ANY kind of wedding. Megan will bring your vision to life. I will forever be dreaming about this perfect day.
Megan is the sh*t! We booked the Weekend Warrior package and she helped us throughout the planning process with tips and advice. She’s honest and real with her clients — ensuring they’re using their budget wisely for the look they want. We were most struck with how Megan took the variety of decor items we gave her and completely enhanced our space beyond what we had envisioned. She’s incredibly organized and her attention to detail allowed us and our families to enjoy the wedding and not worry about any hiccups that could arise. My husband didn’t see value in hiring a day-of wedding planner originally, and now he’s going around telling everyone to hire Megan. Take it from two married, Type-A publicists, Megan is the best!
Megan and her team at MLH events were absolutely amazing! We did the wedding coordinator package and it was more helpful than we ever could have expected. Leading up to the wedding Megan made sure that all of the planning was on track and brought up so many details that I never would have thought to think of. After every meeting with Megan I left feeling much more relaxed. My mother and mother in law came to meetings with me, and after every single one they couldn’t help but rave about how great she was. On the wedding day they did an absolutely AMAZING job. From decorating our ceremony and reception venues to making sure all the vendors were where they needed to be they did it all. My husband doubted the need for a coordinator, however, after meeting with her the day before our wedding and seeing her and her team work at our wedding we both agreed that they were the best decision we made throughout the process!
Megan came recommended through our venue at Redbarn20. Upon our first meeting, I knew I didn’t have to look any further – she was so personable and professional; you could tell that she loves what she does. I am a very anxious planner and Megan was there all along the way to guide me, answers questions, offer suggestions, and meet with me. Our venue was amazing but we did have to bring in all of our own vendors from catering to renting linens, bartenders, and décor – which is a lot to coordinate. Megan made it look easy! When it came time for our wedding weekend – I was able to relax (well as much as a bride could!) because I knew Megan was on top of it. Our bridal party was impressed with her starting with our rehearsal dinner where she had the ceremony process down to a science! As I am not much of a planner or decorator, I gave Megan a lot of freedom to decorate our reception and cocktail hour space. Every time I walked into the venue I was blown away! She spent most of the day before the wedding and the day of making sure this was going to be the wedding of our dreams. It was!! My family, bridal party, and guests were blown away by our wedding and I couldn’t have done it without Megan! Megan was the best investment to our wedding we could have possibly asked for. We hired her as a day of coordinator, but she was so helpful with all aspects of our planning. When we were having trouble finding pies, she brought some from a place near her for us to try (fantastic pies!). When ever I had a little panic attack about silly things like linen colors, she was there to talk me through it. The day of the wedding I spoke to Megan first thing in the morning and asked what she needed me to do. She said "nothing." And you know what? She was right! I didn't need to worry about one thing with Megan there. My last little antidote was during the reception. I was dancing with my guests and Megan snuck over to me to ask if I wanted to change into my comfy shoes. The thoughtfulness and consideration she had for us was immeasurable. I really can't recommend her enough.
Where to even start with Megan - I can't imagine planning our wedding without her! She truly helped our dream day come true. My husband and I are alumni of Syracuse University and wanted to get married back in the place where we first met. However, we live out-of-state and so do our families. We knew we were going to need an expert in the area to help us out with planning. A friend recommended MLH Events and after one phone call, we were booked!
We purchased the Weekend Warrior package, so Megan gave us her recommended vendors and we booked/planned a lot of details on our own. However, we couldn't have done it without her guidance! She met with us in person a few times and answered countless emails about the smallest of details. As it got closer to the wedding day, she had long phone calls with my mom and I to go over everything. She thinks of every single thing you might possibly need for your wedding day to go smoothly. We used her recommended vendors for just about everything (hair and makeup, florist, limo bus, DJ, etc) and they were all fantastic.
Megan's expertise helped us with things like creating a wedding day timeline, creating a custom floor plan for our reception, a guest breakdown, etc. A few weeks before the wedding she took over full communication with our vendors and confirmed everything for us. She helped with the planning of our ceremony order and ran our rehearsal (a hard task considering our large bridal party and extended family). The day of the wedding, she and her assistant MacKenzie were absolutely invaluable. The way they set up the reception venue was even better than I could have possibly imagined - when I walked in that night, I literally gasped at how great it looked. They kept everything on schedule and if anything went wrong, I never knew about it. From my point of view, all the tiny details went super smoothly and there were no issues.
Megan and MacKenzie helped with the smallest of things like wrapping me up in between photos so I didn't freeze, keeping track of my bouquet when I inevitably put it down somewhere, wrangling the bridal party and family and making sure everyone knew what they were doing, dealing with a fire alarm at the hotel which delayed things a bit, even having chalk handy to cover up the mud and dirt I got on my dress during our first look/photos before the ceremony. During our reception they made sure the bridal party all had drinks for toasts and refilled our waters countless times. They helped clean up after the reception as well and load everything into my parent's car which was such a huge help.
Splurging for a wedding coordinator was some of the best money we spent on our wedding. Like I said before, I literally can't imagine planning our wedding without MLH Events. Our wedding day was everything we dreamt it would be and Megan made sure of it.
We were very happy with Megan and appreciate all of her help! We would not have been able to do without her. I was pregnant at the time of the wedding and not able to dedicate as much time on planning. We purchased the "The Whole Shebang Package". I found it a little confusing to understand her role and responsibilities at times (vs. my role) but she ended up helping with identifying vendors and ordered/managed the flowers completely on her own. She also did the decor the day of the wedding and ensured everything went smoothly. Megan also personally picked-up highchairs and the after dinner snack. My only complaint is that during the planning process Megan would sometimes be unresponsive. There could be weeks go by before she'd reply to my emails. I understand she had other weddings scheduled sooner but I would have loved a quick note acknowledging my email. Either way, that's really my only frustration. Otherwise, Megan was incredibly professional and she's the sole reason my guests enjoyed the wedding as much as they did. In fact, many guests told me how well planned the wedding was! I found it funny because I didn't even start thinking about the "details" until about a week or two before the wedding. Thank goodness Megan had been thinking about the details; the guests only felt it was well planned was because of her! I really don't know how brides do it without a wedding planner. Thank you again for your help, Megan!
We hired Megan at MLH Events for the Weekend Warrior Package after we heard our venue could be a little disorganized on the big day. I was expecting a helping hand for the week of the wedding but Megan went above and beyond. I was struggling to figure out the overall look of our wedding and Megan somehow understood my poorly expressed thoughts. After just two conversations, she came up with an idea that became the central theme of our wedding.
She also provided very useful information that was not necessarily obvious to the wedding novice. For example, she explained which vendors should be tipped and how much was appropriate. She also made recommendations about how to structure the events of the day to allow for the proper amount of time for everything.
Wedding planning can be stressful and when you're spending large amounts of money on the venue, invitations, music, flowers and cake, it seems easy to cut costs on a wedding planner however, don't do it! We must echo the sentiment that is present throughout all of her reviews...Hiring Megan was worth every penny. It was the smartest thing we did throughout the whole planning process.
