had me make and share a Pinterest board to add inspiration photos to, and our wedding looked just like the board. While we live in California, Rebecca was in Ohio, and planning our wedding in Texas. Even with all that distance, and Zoom meetings, she made everything happen! She was the one communicating with vendors, but would cc me on all emails to keep me in the loop. I’m a teacher so this was the best part--letting her deal with the stressful stuff. We are from San Antonio, where we celebrate “Fiesta” which is basically a 2 week long Mexican street fair, and that was the theme. She curated a Mexican candy bar, got us some chamoy straws for our signature cocktails, and used Mexican tiles as our escort cards. Now when we visit friends’ houses, we see those tiles on display or used as coasters, and it warms our heart. She even helped us incorporate our dogs who couldn’t make it by naming our drinks after them, and showcasing photos of them next to the drinks. I had so many people compliment all of the decor because even though it was inspired by a street party, it still looked upscale.

Events are it! My wife and I sifted through and interviewed a variety of wedding planners, but immediately locked in on MMJ. You could tell from day one, they were special. They were proactive in really getting to know us and understanding what would make the difference for us. They took extensive notes and planned every detail extraordinarily. From the catering to the flowers to the live musicians, hors d’oeuvres, and valet parking, everything was amazing. Not to mention the DJ, the photographer, the videographer, the reception room reveal, etc., etc. I could go on and on. The fact is we cannot say enough praise for MMJ Events! I would highly recommend them! You will be astounded! Thank you MMJ for making our special day so amazing and unforgettable. We still have guest telling us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. We couldn’t be happier.

the Columbus vendors with ease, and that is exactly what they delivered in the planning phase. I didn’t want to have to sift through thousands of vendors per category. They really helped narrow down each vendor category for me which I cannot thank them enough for that. They had the top picks from flowers to catering…they knew the best options for my what my husband and I wanted! Rebecca and I instantly connected and she said as such a great support, really by my side the whole time! On the day of, if the team hadn’t been worked enough for our wedding event, they were truly put to the test with weather throwing the day off. They quickly thought on their feet to make the day as true to how it was planned as possible. I cannot thank Maleka, Rebecca, and everyone else for taking over so I could get back to enjoying the day!

The vendors they have access to also did an amazing job. We especially benefited from their creativity and ability to take our vision for the wedding and make it even more than we expected. They took time with us the year leading up to the wedding and the week before worked so hard to make everything perfect. With Meleka and Rebecca managing every detail,I, as the mother of the bride ,could enjoy every moment of the special day and the days leading up to the wedding. I would use them again for any special event!

From the start, Meleka kept us on track and really took away from the stress of wedding planning, especially since our venue coordinator was frustrating to work with. We decided to move forward with the wedding once COVID-19 hit, albeit smaller than previously planned. She also worked with my mother-in-law's requests and helped us planned an intimate tea ceremony the morning of the wedding day. The day turned out perfectly, the tent and details were beautiful, and we received so many compliments from guests. MMJ really made our day memorable and we are forever grateful. My parents and I were completely SOLD on MMJ and it was one of the investments of the wedding planning process, let me tell you! Aside from being the best of the best in Columbus, Meleka has close relationships with SO many vendors that created a seamless process of booking, questions & follow ups. We encountered several bumps in the road in planning our wedding (ie: original venue booked fell thru due to unfortunate circumstances 6 months before our wedding date...) and Meleka and Heather were so accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect at our new venue. I definitely had a vision for our wedding day which MMJ helped make possible and come to life with their own personal touches. The small details created a cohesive look and feel for our reception and could not have all come together without their blood, sweat & tears. It truly was a perfect day and it wouldn't have been possible without Meleka and Heather!! Thank you guys for everything <3

Meleka and her staff handled every detail of the wedding day and made it exactly what we hoped for and a absolutely wonderful event!

She was always on top of everything and uses an amazing wedding planning website called aisle planner that keeps everything organized for the bride. She also has so many of the perfect pieces from her own rental company that we were able to rent for the day of that I absolutely loved. The day of the wedding, she made sure that everything went smoothly, so that I didn't have to worry about anything!! She truly made it a dream day and I could not be more thankful!! Meleka took all of that fear away by being so professional, capable, and lovey to be around. She also has an amazing software program to offer to help throughout the entire planning process (Aisle Planner) which is TOTALLY worth the price and kept everything so organized. And, make sure to check out her event design/rental business Aiden & Grace - so many beautiful things that can be rented for wedding decor (and super easy to do), and so easy to work with her in that realm since she was already our planner.
