I was scammed by this business, I paid over $3,000 for “Kealie Montgomery” the owner, she showed up completely empty handed and made up a story about the alcohol being in a car accident with one of her workers, she promised to refund us money nothing was refunded so we ended up paying $3,000 for her to open beers and pass waters out for few hours, she canceled one of her phone lines and then stopped answering her business phone, she also has had multiple arrests in recent years, think again before you book…

I hired Kealie Montgomery/MMK way back in 2021 for my wedding. I had to reschedule several times since my husband is in the military, giving more than a year notice of the new date. Her communication was excellent. She recorded the zoom calls, which doesn't bother me. This year, she tried to get us to pay reschedule fees (not in the contract). We were able to work it out and sign a new contract. My mistake was allowing my credit card to be held on file for her alcohol coordination. The bartending service itself was amazing during the wedding. But at the end of the reception, she decided to tell me she added the mixer package, then sent an invoice AND charged my card 2 days after the wedding. So I'm out $600. Never responded to email or text, and I learned she moved to South Dakota according to her Facebook. I will be sure to never put my credit card on file again, so be careful what's in your contract! She also had an arbitration clause (impossible to find attorney if there's any issues). And I really hope the staff at my wedding got paid because they deserve it. To this day, I'll never know if we had any leftover mixers or alcohol. But I really hope she finds peace and holds herself to higher standards, because this isn't a great way to do business, in my opinion. Thank gosh, it could have been worse. I can provide screenshots of conversations with my family about how upset I was that I have not heard back from you and I did not receive the text you have mentioned below, and still no email in which I cc'ed my sister and my husband. Although my card was on file, I would have thought that I would receive some form of communication prior to finalizing your judgment call and not after the fact - especially when it comes to an additional $600. We had the call on a Wednesday, listened about the concern over not having enough, and my sister said she had been waiting to hear from you about your recommendations since we still had time to get everything ourselves as needed. I clarified with my sister that we did have beer and seltzer in the coolers, so that's verified, but I was referring to liquor so thank you for this information. I really hope this was all a huge miscommunication, but I'm disappointed that you've said you've responded and I've yet to see anything. I'm extremely responsive as a bride. In terms of negative reviews, I just saw another one on Zola posted 5 days ago, and I'm not saying my experience is common, I just know that I've seen how other vendors can have spotless records - until they don't (my other vendor duped someone after my wedding even though she was awesome at mine). I just want other brides to hear what mine was, and that overall, they'll have a good experience if they can agree with having a card on file and okay with your judgment without being notified of estimated costs beforehand. It was definitely stressful often for me during a time where wedding planning itself was hard. However, I do appreciate you responded here with the information I've asked and you were willing to negotiate with me on your increased rates after contract was signed.
