All alcohol that was left @ the end of the night, beer & seltzers were left in the coolers we served them from, we drained the water and gave it to your sister. All of the sake, & the few remaining bottles of red (1) & white (2) wines (I can double-check with the bartenders to make sure my #s are correct) were with the sake bottles also put by the coolers for to Kim take as well. We ran completely out of Jameson, Espalon Repasado, Hennessy, Lychee, and the rest of the alcohol was at the following @ the end of the evening: Bacardi - 1/3 of a bottle left of 1 bottle out of 3 Tito's - approx 1/2 of a bottle out of 7 bottles Blue Curasco - 1 bottle left out of the 5 that were bought after the initial 3 ran out Triple Sec - not even 1/4 bottle left out of the 3 bottles I believe that is all of them. Let me know which day works best for you guys and I will send out an invite.". In response to the invoice for the additional mixer package - In our last consultation I raised the issue of you not having enough mixers for the wedding. For 180 guests 1 - 35 packs of each Coke & Sprite, 2 L of Club Soda, 2 - 64oz Cranberry Juices, 3 - small bottles of lime juice along with the few other random mixers were not going to last. When the concern was raised that things would run out and felt like the warning was ignored, I went ahead and made a judgment call and decided to bring what I knew in my years of experience what is used for each type of liquor to the wedding to avoid having to send one of my staff to the store mid-reception. You had 7 bottles of Espolon and 7 bottles of Titos, as well as Jameson, Bacardi Hennessy, & Lyche. We even ran out of ingredients to make your signature cocktail in the 1st hour and had to send a guest to the store. I had asked the bartenders to ask 1st before using what I brought in to see if you wanted to send someone else to the store or use what was onsite. I assumed since most of it was gone, they were given the okay. Also, what you provided for non-alcoholic options for guests that don't drink and children ran out fast which left them coming to the bar. Most of the sodas, club sodas with lime, and all of the water that I brought were gone before the end. I spoke to both you and your sister at the end I informed you that I would be invoicing for the mixers and asked if a card was on file. I let you know that I would send it as soon as I got back home. I also even charged you less than what is our standard rate. In response to the staff issues - This should have been and stayed an enternal matter, but you can't stop people from doing the wrong thing. All the bartenders & barback were paid for working your wedding. She was upset that she was not allowed to use her personal Venmo QR Code, but was made to use the business one. If it had just been her, sure not a problem. It is standard policy that if more than 1 bartender is scheduled the Business QR Code must be used to not have any issues. On MMK's QR Code, it gives all payment app options for tips - Venmo, CashApp, Paypal, Zelle, ApplePay - rather than just Venmo. Unfortunately, also, a majority of your guests would scan or act like they were scanning the QR Code but did not complete the transaction leaving them a tip. This actually happens quite often because guests are distracted, they hear their favorite song on the dance floor, or they just do it to make the bartender think they're getting tipped. I have screenshots of each payment app with only 1 tip coming through the entire night through our QR Code. They split the cash onsite themselves. This should have been handled internally, but she decided to take it too far and to post online false information in a popular group for bartenders in our area. In this post first stated that she wasn't paid, then later on down in the post she was paid. Keyboard warriors don't know what happened, or even read her entire post and just begin to start trying to "cancel" a business by leaving bad reviews online. You can see from prior events, I have never been given anything less than 5 stars and I have never had any other staff leave complaints about not being paid. I do remember emailing you asking if you would like to leave them a gratuity, but never heard back on that email either. In response to my moving to South Dakota, yes I did move the day AFTER your wedding. I made sure to be in Texas, prepared to the fullest (which I over-prepared) to ensure after almost 2 years of planning your day was nothing but the best. I don't see how moving is even relevant to your complaints as I was always responsive and was still responsive post-wedding. I am sorry you felt like you shouldn't have left your card on file, but we have had to make it a policy due to clients not paying for same-day wedding services that were rendered. I made sure to let you know that the invoice would be automatically charged and you agreed. I drove 20 hours beginning early the next morning and did the invoice as soon as I got up to SD. Our standards are high here at MMK and this is our first actual complaint from a client in the history of our business, just like it was our first complaint from a staff member. I 100% put my clients that are on our event calendar first and make sure that I am in Texas to ensure the event runs smoothly.
