f I had a phone call scheduled with Dave, I was going to feel much better about everything when we were finished. I knew with him as my DJ, everything was under control from the second he arrived. He was able to talk me down from anything that was bringing me stress (even if had nothing to do with his DJ duties) and give me his professional opinion at all times. He has the ability to feel the energy of the guests and knew just what to play to get and keep people on the dance floor. He managed to play a song for almost every age group and our dance floor was never empty. We are still hearing from our guests about just how amazing he was! I would recommend Dave to every bride-to-be in the Pittsburgh area. Have was truly a blessing to work with on our big day and we cannot thank him enough!

(semi-drunk) wedding party to hush up and listen on how we were doing entrances... he stayed on top of the entire timeline the whole evening, which included a lot of “surprises” (dances, slideshows, to name a few). He created a mix for a surprise dance that ended up not even being used. He also provide uplighting for the entire room, matching a local lighting vendors price, but delivered and executed more than I could have asked for, changing the light colors throughout the evening. Most importantly, he was great at being a DJ, which is what I needed him for. He had a great taste in music, but also was so easy to work with and polite with me and all of my requests. I had an entire spreadsheet with color-coded music selections with many categories of “must play” “would like to play” “slow song favorites” “do not play” “suggestions for happy hour” “suggestions for dinner”… etc etc etc, to name just a few. I’ve been around DJs before they get irritated if you try to control the scene and Dave was nothing like that and I’m so thankful for it. He was also such a friendly fun cool guy with a personality that gave off so much energy. He was really a delight to work with. He completely took charge of planning and reaching out so that I, the bride, did not have to, to the months/weeks/days leading up to the big day. From the first phone call we had with him, to the final goodbye after a few hours of dancing, Dave was an exemplary professional through the entire process. Being able to use his online portal to choose songs we wanted to hear and, more importantly, not want to hear were also a huge plus. We face timed closer to the wedding to talk through the schedule and I knew he would have everything under control and organized. I had several guests and close friends comment on how much they loved the DJ, a few even wanted him for their weddings! My bridal party loved him too, and he was so great talking to them before we made our entrance for the reception. I wouldn’t change a thing about the music at our wedding. He even went the extra mile and volunteered to take pics at our sparkler exit because our photographers time was up before the end of the night. So kind and thoughtful! seamless, from planning a timeline to picking songs (and listening to him sing them over the phone!) we barely had to think. One of my biggest fears on my wedding day was that I wouldn't know what was supposed to be next or I was lose track of time. But there he was guiding us through out the night. Literally everyone commented on how great the music was! I don't think people actually left the dance floor all night! The songs we wanted to be played were played and either we or the bridal party were consulted on songs that were requested before they were played. Do NOT hesitate when looking for a DJ for your special day!

We needed help picking specific songs for the “structured” parts of our wedding (entrance/cake cutting/etc.) because we didn’t want the typical songs played, and he jumped right in and helped us with our selection! He is also probably the most flexible person ever to work with. There were a few things in our wedding that were game time decisions because of weather and the people involved (my dad has alzheimer’s and you’re never really sure what mood you’re going to get). He was waiting and ready for us to change things with a plan A, B and C! Not only did he help with the music, but he also helped us with our wedding timeline and kept everyone on schedule the day of. I was very specific about the kind of music that we wanted played at the wedding and he was so great about making it exactly what we wanted and really putting our wants first. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole time-which was what we wanted!- and the music can make or break that at a wedding. Dave is very talented at what he does and is so personal where we never felt like we were in a vendor/client contract situation. We are so happy with how our wedding turned out :)

Our reception was a fantastic party that was going strong right up until Dave called for the “last dance!” More than just a D.J., Dave served as our Master of Ceremonies guiding us through wedding traditions and keeping the evening moving along without that “rushed through” feeling. We were able to enjoy one of the very best parties ever. Dave also added to the atmosphere of our venue with special lighting effects that added personalization and beauty. Our family and friends still talk about what a great time we had and what a phenomenal job our D.J. (Dave) did! Our first “Dave Wedding” was at the marriage of my brother and sister-in-law. It was such a fantastic event that when we chose our Wedding date, it was based on Dave’s availability. BEST CHOICE EVER! We wouldn’t even consider someone else! If you want a reception where everyone stays and celebrates from start to finish, Dave is definitely the very best choice, better than five stars! wedding. Your DJ is the one who runs the night and keeps people having fun, and honestly DJ David was beyond the best DJ we could have ever imagined having. Our wedding was May 14th and people are still coming up to us and our parents saying how much fun they had and how incredible our DJ was. David was so helpful throughout all of our planning stages. We met with him a couple times to discuss how the night would go, and what songs we would choose for certain specialty dances. We were stuck on what song to use for the garter toss and he had given us some really great options to choose from. David was also so easy to work with and talk to, extremely genuine and always makes time for you!! Something that was really cool that he offers his clients is a portal where you can pay your bill, see what songs you have already picked for your specialty dances, and even a really cool feature that allows you and anyone else you want to request songs to be played at the wedding. Even cooler part is that after all these people suggest songs David will go through those choices and you as the bride and groom get the final say on if you want those songs played or not. DJ mobileMIX is the best, and my husband and I will be referring him to every single one of our friends getting married, or in need of a DJ. Dave did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and he nailed all 3. He gave us great ideas for the ceremony and let us know exactly what decisions we needed to make - he makes it really clear and easy! The music for the cocktail hour was great, and then I swear from the very first song he kept our dance floor PACKED. He played everything we wanted plus tons of other great picks, you can trust him 100% to read a crowd and play the right music. We had every age on the dance floor from 3 - 80. At the end of the night, we got so many compliments on Dave and two guests even asked me for his contact info because they are planning weddings and Dave is just so awesome. He's not corny, he's not over the top, but he has great taste in music and knows how to get a party going and keep the evening flowing. I seriously can't say enough good things, he was the BEST vendor we hired. Highly recommend!!!

You knew what moments to play which songs, and kept the night flowing in such a way that had everyone on that floor dancing, having fun and telling us and our parents what an absolutely fun and awesome time they were having. Our first dance with us starting, and Evelina (our 10 month old daughter) joining us is one of the moments we will always cherish..it was so touching and perfect. I also very much appreciated the fact that any email or text I sent you with questions or concerns, you were quick to respond and assure me that everything would be exactly how we wanted it and not to worry about a single thing...which we didn't! Your upbeat attitude in talking about plans for the how the evening would go got us so excited and feeling confident that we absolutely chose the right DJ. The lighting too was perfect...we loved how the lights went with the music during the dance portion, and the light and glow sticks were SUCH a fun touch!!! Seriously Dave- THANK YOU...we had a freaking AWESOME time!!! We will be recommending mobileMIX Entertainment any chance we get! :)

He is very detail oriented, and made sure that there was no confusion about any aspect of the evening. We knew that Dave would be one part of our wedding we wouldn't have to worry about...and we were right.

Dave also worked closely with my husband to perfectly cut our wedding song in a way that seamlessly took out verses we didn't want in our wedding song (Jeff Buckley, Hallelujah). My husband is a musician and was really impressed by all of the detail DJ Dave from Mobilemix paid attention to. He is also incredibly kind man and accommodating to clients (as out of town bride and groom, Dave went out of his way to meet with us personally-running from his child's baptism to a meeting with us). We had interviewed a couple of other DJs that were way more expensive and not flexible at all. Pick Dave from MobileMix - you will be happy if you do. Promise.

Many vendors will try to do what is easiest for them, and Dave is all about doing things your way and staying true to the style of a couple. Dave met with us prior to the wedding and genuinely got to know my husband and I. He gave us the tools to make music selections for our reception, and we struggled with that a bit. Rather than letting us flounder, he called us and walked us through making our music choices. He is so patient and helpful! Dave stands out from other DJs for so many reasons, but I was especially impressed with his knack for planning. He is so organized and made us an awesome timeline of our day. His timeline is what I sent to our event planner, the coordinator at our reception venue, the videographers and the photographer- he is THAT together when it comes to the planning of the reception. It was amazing. As far as execution, Dave nailed it. He hustled everyone to where they needed to be and when. He calmed down my rowdy bridal party to make their entrance and he helped get my dad prepared for the father-daughter dance. He did so many things during the course of the night that freed me up to actually enjoy my own wedding, and you cannot put a price tag on that kind of service. So many brides do not enjoy their day, I certainly was able to thanks to Dave. During the dollar dance (which Dave knew I did not want to do) I was so hot and dizzy at one point and I looked up to change dancing partners and there was Dave handing me a cup of water and giving me a chance to re-group. How sweet is that? I should add that Dave also did our lighting- I told him I wanted a pink, dreamy fairy tale and I got just that. It was perfect. The music was perfect and the night never had a lull or a dull moment. He played music for everyone and it was awesome. Dave believes there is a science to choosing music and keeping the crowd going and he is right. He was able to get everyone dancing and stay dancing. We had an amazing dance party with magical fairy tale lighting thanks to Dave. Beyond perfect!!

ad a blast. From start to finish all of our family and friends were on the dance floor. Probably our favorite thing about working with Dave is the fact that he cares and enjoys what he does. Many of the vendors that we spoke with were businessmen first. Dave puts his customers first and takes a personal interest to make your wedding is memorable. There are not many business owners anymore that go that extra mile, but Dave is one of them.

nd grateful for the job he did that I wrote a review at that time with the following ending: “With 3 more daughters in my family - all of whom thought David was the best DJ they'd ever encountered - I'm fairly certain that any future wedding planning will involve a very early call in hopes of getting him to be a part of the event..” Sure enough, almost immediately after the date for my second daughter’s wedding was set, she made a call to Dave to see if he was available. Fortunately he was and, true to form, did a fantastic job emceeing her wedding reception. We received so many wonderful comments specifically about Dave and the fabulous entertainment he provided. I know some might question how relevant a review by a “father-of-the-bride” might be but maybe it’s worth something to know that young and old alike hold Dave in such high regard.
