We are so grateful to have Modern Day Events and Floral as our wedding planning team because they made our daughter’s wedding truly a wonderful day to remember at the Detroit Athletic Club. From the moment of our first meeting with Jenn and her staff, we realized that hiring a top-notch event planner to envision this day was a necessity. Modern Day listened to our ideas, then presented a comprehensive vision of what the day would be like. They made us very aware that yes, this is a day for the Bride, but the guests are also just as special. Every detail was thought out and with impeccable taste to create a unforgettable wedding experience for everyone. From the custom designed Bridal Monogram which was done on a hand letter press that adorned the invitations, to the selection of the sophisticated décor details which included custom embroidered napkins, they transformed the wedding to be a one of a kind day. They took care of everything so that we were able to enjoy our guests. During the planning, they were very good about communicating and meeting with us so that we were able to keep on schedule . And there are a lot of decisions to be made! They were able to recommend and orchestrate meetings with the highest quality vendors, including classical musicians, photographers, and personal assistants for the Bridal party. But they even went above and beyond -including special Michigan themed gift bags for our out-of-town guests, expert wedding rehearsal guidance, and helping the Bride move with grace in her grandmother’s cathedral length wedding gown. There aren’t enough good things I can say about Modern Day Events. One thing for certain, we feel like they have become our friends for life.

I absolutely adore Jenn and her team. They truly gave me the wedding of my dreams. I am pretty sure I have told everyone “the day was even more beautiful than I dreamt it to be!” Jenn takes a ton of pride in her business and cares a lot for her clients. Modern Day created the most beautiful floral arrangements and decor at our reception, and we continue to receive compliments from the wedding guests about how gorgeous the banquet room was at the wedding. Jenn placed a pergola draped in flowers over the bridal party table, which was truly unique and memorable. She also had beautiful details on the tables, in the cocktail hour space, and really in the entire event. We are also so appreciative that Modern Day seamlessly transferred floral arrangements from the rehearsal dinner to the cocktail hour to the Sunday brunch. Words can't describe how amazing Modern Day is! They helped plan my day to perfection, which allowed me to stay stress free on my wedding day and the months leading up. Their florals and design are flawless and exactly what I had imagined. Jenn at Modern Day is such a pro, and I couldn't have imagined my day without her!

How can I describe Jen, Amanda, and their team....they were the absolute the best! When my daughter said,"Her wedding was everything she had ever dreamed about and more." I thought, what more could parents ever want for their daughter. I could name many adjectives to describe Jen and Amanda, but I will write just three...professionals, knowledgeable, and creative. This team had less than 6 hours (due to a wedding the night before) to decorate three parts of the venue. The pavilion where dinner was served consisted of farm tables, rounds, and a sweetheart table. The table decorations were breathtaking. The cocktail area where a bar was constructed along with many high tops, was amazing over looking a lake and listening to a jazz quartet. Lastly, they built a dance floor within a large tent for the band. The florals, greenery, and chandeliers hanging from the draped ceiling was totally unique and beautiful. This was nothing the venue had ever done before and they were a little hesitant at the beginning about it, but I heard from many of the venue staff that it was the most beautiful and unique set-up they had ever had there! The venue itself had gorgeous landscaping, but when adding Jenn and Amanda's skills they created the PERFECT setting for a reception. It has been the talk of everyone who attended and from those that have seen pictures. It was quite the let down after it all came to an end, but all of our memories will last a life time! THANK FOR EVERYTHING and WE will keep in touch:)

From the moment I met Jenn and Amanda we connected and I just knew that they were going to make my dream a reality and that's exactly what they did. Between the floral, the linens, the flowers, the custom bar, the gorgeous white dance floor and so much more, it was absolute perfection. Jenn and Amanda helped to create a room that was modern, sophisticated, and classy, which was exactly what I had envisioned. They have the unique ability to craft your ideas and put them together to create the perfect canvas. What I couldn't see, they saw! Being the bride, I had so much going on throughout the year of planning, but knowing that Modern Day had it covered was something I could mark off my list. It was such a relief knowing that they had it all handled and I was absolutely blown away at the results. I only wish I could do it all over again! If not for Amanda at Modern Day, our wedding would not have been the beautiful fairytale that it was. Amanda and Jenn were incredibly creative and inspirational from day one. Flowers and Decor are not my cup of tea, so we relied heavily on Amanda's suggestions and guidance. She did an outstanding job from linens, to flowers, to coming to the rescue with last minutes requests about programs and seating arrangements. She definitely helped reduce a lot of stress and, many times, helped motivate us to stay upbeat and forward-focused. The Modern Day Team is amazing. They listened carefully to everything my daughter and her fiancé envisioned for their magically beautiful wedding, and made all their dreams come true. If you are looking for ANY of the following for your wedding: planning, floral, decor, invitations, or wonderful people, then look no further! MD is the absolute best for all things wedding! We chose MD for ALL of those services for our wedding in Benton Harbor, and because of that decision we had a flawless “dream wedding.” Initially, I was looking for floral on The Knot and clicked on MD after seeing their high rating. Michigan was a destination wedding for us, so choosing vendors was a daunting task. We met on the phone with Jennifer and she was so personable, knowledgable and enthusiastic that we decided to go with MD for planning too! Do not try and plan a wedding on your own or with a different vendor. Trust me, you will save yourself time, energy and tranquility if you use a high quality planner like Jenn and MD. It was the best and most important decision I made during the wedding planning process. For a few months I worked with Amanda via email/Basecamp. She gave me vendor recommendations in our budget. You will find that many vendors take forever to respond to you as they get busier in spring/summer, but not MD! I always felt like a priority, even during their immensely busy spring/summer wedding season. Jenn and the team made sure to read the vendor’s fine print, set up their requirements and made sure they all performed the day of. I worked with Erin who created my invitations. I gave her a list of addresses, proofed PDF’s, and just like that, my beautiful invitations were out. It was a breeze and efficient. I received many compliments on Erin's invites. In fact, I received so many compliments that I worried about the wedding living up to the invites! And oh boy, did the wedding live up to the hype! For eight months I planned every detail of my wedding with Jenn, my Mom and husband, so I thought I knew exactly what it would look like. But Jenn made it so much more magnificent than I expected. I cried upon seeing my bouquet and the tent! I told her a color palette, a few words like romantic and elegant, and made a very small Pinterest board. That’s all she needed to create the most stunning wedding I have ever seen. Trust me, those photos on your wedding Pinterest board won’t even come close to the magic Jenn will create! I want to close by listing a few of the many ways Jenn and MD are great event coordinators. Two days before our wedding I tried on my dress and it was a few sizes too big. In a panic I called Jenn, who immediately put me at ease, made me an appointment with her alterations girl in GR (who kept the shop open after-hours, that’s how well-liked and connected Jenn is), and drove the dress back to me in Benton Harbor the next day. It was the perfect fit. Most significantly, our venue’s manager changed many times the months leading up to our wedding, and Jenn essentially took over and organized our venue’s responsibilities. MD created a highly organized timeline for us that we requested to change many times. MD changed it promptly, updated all the vendors on changes and were incredibly gracious through all the editing. The wedding went exactly as planned on the timeline, smooth like butter, and we owe that to MD! Our officiant couldn’t make the ceremony rehearsal, and Jenn stepped up to run the whole thing. I heard so many wonderful things about Jenn from our bridal party, the guests, and from our venue’s employees. I could go on and on! Thanks to Jenn and the MD team for making our wedding dreams come true!

Modern Day Events & Floral didn't just exceed our expectations on my daughter's wedding day once...they did it twice! Their amazing team transformed our event space from a garden-esque ceremony venue into an elegant ballroom in a brisk two hours! From the first consultation, we knew we were in the best of hands. Jenn's ability to take ideas and create a memorable and magical landscape is unparalleled. "Breathtaking" was the word used by family and friends most often when they came into the ballroom...first for the wedding ceremony and then again, totally transformed for the reception. Not only did the Modern Day team gather spectacular flowers, greenery and linens from across the country to complete the designs, almost every piece was used for both the ceremony and the reception but somehow managed to look completely different! The WOW factor was beyond belief. Weeks after the wedding, our friends and family are still talking about the beautiful setting Modern Day created for my daughter's big day. I guess the "proof in the pudding" was the moment Jenn came to get my daughter that day, took her into the ballroom to see the setting for the ceremony and my daughter cried because it was so beautiful!

I was recently married on 9.5.2015 in Saint Joseph, Michigan. I was referred to Modern Day Floral though my sister-in-law, she used Modern Day at her wedding. I used them as a florist and I ordered my linen through them. I did not take advantage of the wedding planning services they also offer because my venue supplied me with a wedding planner. I was basically at a wedding planning road block when I had my first consultation with Jen and Amanda, I had a lot of ideas but I couldn't put them into a theme or any grand scheme. After 1 hour with Jen and Amanda my wedding had a color palette, a theme, and proposals for centerpieces and floral arrangements. I wanted to cry the happiest of tears because they took the biggest LOAD of my shoulders. They listen so well and Jen is the best to talk to, you can tell she LOVES what she does by how excited she gets when she talks. It was so refreshing to have a team helping you who is just as excited about your wedding as you are! They set everything up and took everything down on the day of, we didn't have to lift a finger which was exactly what we wanted! My bouquet was a dream, and my centerpieces were amazing. I can't say enough good things about this company and these two women and their team that helped at my wedding. I highly recommend them, their expertise can not be beat.

I don't even know where to begin!! If you are looking for a vendor for all your wedding needs, you don't need to look any further because MDF is absolutely a blessing to the wedding industry. After having my first consult with Jenn and Amanda I knew I wanted to hire them. We went from changing our initial plan of just using MDF for our floral needs to having them assist us with everything on the day of. Amanda worked with us throughout the year to help us plan our Grand Rapids wedding from Texas. I gave them my boring simple ideas and she came back with a beautiful exquisite plan with everything I had asked for. She paid close attention and remembered every little detail I had mentioned. Amanda was quick to return my emails and great at giving suggestions for vendors. We ended up hiring Karyn May Photography (BEST CHOICE), Hunter's bakery, as well as Cheeky Strut Salon as recommendations from Amanda and they were all absolutely amazing! In all of the planning process not only did we change venues but our second venue did completely finish construction until LESS THAN A MONTH before our wedding day. Jenn and Amanda visited the site a few times for us and reassured us that everything will come together in the end. The MDF team put together a design plan for the reception that was able to allow us to keep our vietnamese tradition of a 10-course meal but still giving us the beautiful romantic look we wanted for the tables. The table linens and design were beautiful! MDF especially delivered when it came to florals. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! The bridal party bouquets were FULL of exquisite blooms and just simply gorgeous. We have gotten so many compliments at how beautiful our floral was at the reception and how everything came together. Everything went so smoothly and we were able to enjoy our reception with our family and friends stress free! As busy as MDF is, they are a team who truly treats all their brides as if they were the only one planning a wedding. They are absolutely professional, easy to work with, and super fun to be around! Modern Day Floral was fantastic to work with! Jenn and her team were so easy to work with and always accomodating. We wanted a florist that could put together beautiful designs without much input from us, because basically my now-husband and I were pretty much clueless when it came to flowers and design. Everyone we communicated with during the planning process was professional and quick to answer our questions. We had to make several changes to our proposal over the course of our engagement, and they never once made us feel bad about making changes or choosing more inexpensive options. We worked with Amanda mostly, and she was so great at answering any questions I had as well as providing recommendations or any advice during the planning process. The photos of their work speak for themselves - they make incredible and stunning designs. We got married on a hot summer day and our flowers lasted pretty much all day long. I was so excited when I saw my bouquet because I really just told them to make something "pretty", and they did not disappoint - it was way beyond my expectations! We received so many compliments from our guests about the flowers. Modern Day Floral was incredible! When I met with them I gave them my wedding colors, flower colors I was interested in, and played around with a few decoration ideas - but they took it to a whole other level! When my husband and I showed up to our wedding reception, we were blown away - it was absolutely gorgeous!! I could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding. I also had so many guests approach me and tell me our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had seen. I can't recommend Modern Day Floral highly enough!! CLOUD 9 Simply put, the team at Modern Day Floral is absolutely AMAZING. The staff and their work represent the epitome of class, elegance, dedication, talent, and professionalism. I could not have been happier on my wedding day and am still on “Cloud 9”, truly. As I type this, I am still at a loss for words. When I first met with the amazing owner Jenn, and the wonderful Amanda, I had some vague descriptions of what I wanted. They helped me narrow down my vision and were able to pinpoint some of the exact thoughts I had. My floral vision included bright, bold, and unique flowers; opposite of the traditional wedding flowers (blush, white, ivory, etc.), I was a little hesitant on what to expect. We had gone over multiple pictures from my pinterest and past weddings they had done. I never saw exactly what I was envisioning, just a lot of compilations of different bits and pieces here and there of various bouquets I liked. Because I was going for something more bright and unique, the word “trust” really came into play for me. I knew what sort of product they were going to use and what bouquet pictures were used for inspiration, but I didn’t know EXACTLY what the bouquets would look like. I really had to trust them and in all honesty, they made me WANT to trust them. I never once felt scared or nervous. I was nothing but excited the entire time. Karen and Leslie delivered the bouquets to my hotel room the morning of my wedding and believe it or not, my eyes watered - I was just ecstatic. I was so excited and I was truly blown away. I cannot express how happy I was; I didn’t realize I could be so happy. The flowers were fun, unique, different, bold, and all of the above. I even had a friend’s father approach me at the wedding wanting to know where he could get flowers like mine because he wanted to get them to decorate his office in Lansing and provide floral services for his office staff. In addition, an artist at my wedding even asked to take a bouquet home with her because she wanted to draw a picture of the flowers so she could hang the portrait in her home. Bottom line, Modern Day TAKES CARE OF YOU. The team at MDF turned my vision into the most amazing reality and I cannot thank them enough for making the best day of my life even better. Modern Day Floral and Events has my highest recommendation. My family worked with them on my sister's wedding four years ago and we were blown away by their talent, professionalism, and capability. Before I even know about my engagement, my mom reached out to MDF and secured them for my wedding, knowing that we NEEDED them. Since my sister's wedding, MDF has expanded their service offerings to become a full-fledged event staff in addition to their floral design expertise. This time around, we were further impressed by their hospitality, availability to their clients, and Jenn's stunning ability to translate a couple's essence into a one-of-a-kind event. Every member of Jenn's team is professional, kind, and hospitable. Our trust in the MDF team allowed me to work 40+ hours/week, take 12 hours of graduate coursework, and coordinate a move to the East Coast while wedding planning...unheard of. They attended my wedding rehearsal and were available on-site for the entire wedding day. I planned my wedding in Grand Rapids MI from Chicago IL. Modern Day was easy to work with and very good at communicating via email. They were accommodating to the times I was in the area and able to meet as well. Besides their breathtaking works of art in the final product, MDF is a one stop shop which makes planning from afar easy! They designed and ordered everything for my wedding including table linen, stemware and chargers, slip covers and table number frames. Not to mention three beautiful center piece designs filled with gorgeous floral at different dimensions and added touches of candlelight in each one. Talk about dreamy!! It was beautiful... a vision I could have never made a reality without their hard work and dedication. Big shout out to the MDF employee that helped me the most, Amanda Elmergreen...she is fabulous!

On my wedding day, my wife was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The second most beautiful thing was walking into our wedding reception for the first time. Being the Groom, I didn't have much to do with the flowers or decor for my September wedding. I also completely trusted and agreed with my wife's wedding vision and style. Choosing to hire Modern Day Floral for both decor and planning was one of the easiest decisions we had to make - it was a no-brainer compared to some of the other vendors we had to consider/hire. Knowing that the floral, decor, and planning is what Modern Day does for a living every single day made me feel so much better about the little details that a Groom DOES have to worry about. On the day-of the wedding rehearsal, having Jenn and her team there made everything flow seamlessly. I have never been married, so knowing where to stand, when to walk, how to respond to certain questions, etc, were things that I personally stressed about. The Modern Day team walked both me and the bridal party through every step over and over again until we were comfortable with what was happening. Because of the practice, our wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect. I still have family and friends that tell me it was the smoothest and most incredible ceremony they've ever been to. As I said before, I was not super involved in the floral process throughout our engagement, but walking into our reception for our first look was a feeling I could never anticipate or live up to again. The most incredible thing is that the flowers and decor reflected both of us as a couple entirely. At that point I was just so excited to share it with all of our closest family and friends for the evening. Our wedding day was the best day of my life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Modern Day Floral for not only making it beautiful, but also making it stress-free and just plain easy. My wife and I still look at our wedding pictures and video to this day and wish we could re-live it over and over again.

I am writing the review I wish I could have read before my November 2014 event. We met Jenn at the Grand Rapids Bridal Show and fell in love with her and her work! She was friendly and passionate and my mother connected with her right away. We loved everything about her work and didn't look any further to find someone to handle our linens, chargers, napkins and other various rentals. MDF was much more expensive than our other options but we knew after meeting Jenn and seeing the work that it would be worth the extra cost. I called right away to set up an appointment with Jenn for myself, my now husband and my mother. The appointment went so well and we chose everything we wanted with the help of Jenn's expertise. We also asked about Day-of wedding coordinator services. Jenn and I had a phone meeting at the beginning of summer discussing the addition of the Day of services (incredibly expensive) and I knew having Jenn at my event would again be worth the extra cost. After that phone conversation working with MDF became the most stressful aspect of wedding planning for me. I could not get a phone call back -- a returned email-- an updated contract. I wanted to book additional services and I couldn't. I felt crazy for calling daily hoping to get someone that could help me on the phone. I became so stressed in not having a Day-of coordinator that I passed the communication off to my mother and asked her to continue to call to try to get someone to talk with us. The assistants booked phone meetings and then would cancel the day of because Jenn forgot she had another appointment...etc. It was a nightmare. We considered dropping them for all of our rentals but we had already put down so much money. It took months- months to get someone to call us back. It was the end of the summer when I finally was able to talk with an assistant and told her we were going to find another coordinator but still wanted our linens and rentals. All she did was apologize for not being able to help me or get anyone to call me back. Once I hired a day or coordinator she handled the communication with MDF from then on. The event was beautiful and the rentals and linens were expensive but AMAZING. The terrible service and stress I could have done without.

Modern Day Floral is incredible. My husband and I didn't want to deal with the "nitty gritty" of wedding planning and honestly just show up and be blown away. We got just that!! Jenn and her team not only planned our whole entire day, from invitations to linens, but took our very vague idea of what we wanted for our wedding and made it bigger and better than we could have every imagined. Did I mention we wanted a "rustic california vineyard meets french country side" done in the amyway grand hotel?? YES and they did that, AMAZING! We never once doubted their ability and really just let them go with it. They do this for a living, we do not, and they are the best in my opinion. Our wedding was incredible and the tiniest details that I would have never thought of on my own were there. If I could do it again I would hire Jenn and her team in a new york minute. They are incredible at what they do and will not disappoint!

I used the MDF team for all flowers for our wedding, reception, and the wedding party. They were absolutely beautiful! Jenn did a great job of understanding my non-floral mind and captured the exact image I was trying to portray for our big day. We also had MDF create our centerpieces and small decor for our reception (with set-up and tear down). I HIGHLY recommend them if you are worried about how your reception will look. They took care of everything and I have received so many compliments on how amazing our event looked. Also, for you brides planning your wedding from another city (or state in my case) you have nothing to worry about. They are great at getting back to you and can handle any random thought or suggestion you throw their way! When I finally got to our reception, I just kept telling them that this was even better than I had ever imagined!

From our very first meeting, Jenn was outstanding. She has very good instincts, always listened well and took a personal interest in us. She exhausted all possibilities to ensure that the outcome EXCEEDED our expectations. We were very fortunate to have her coordinate all of the details. Because of Jenn, we relaxed and truly enjoyed a beautiful day.

If you are looking for elegant and simply stunning floral arrangements, look no further! Jen and the entire Modern Day staff are an absolute joy to work with! As someone around the wedding industry, I have seen many arrangements and knew from the beginning that Modern Day was the only option for me. From the moment I met Jen I knew I was in good hands. Her knowledge of flowers and attention to detail(not to mention sparkling personality and patience) made flowers the easiest part of my wedding planning. Hiring Modern Day Floral was one of the easiest wedding decisions that we had to make. But it wasn’t the awesome website, numerous awards, amazing reviews, or beautiful flowers that sold me. Jenn’s personality, passion, dedication, and attention to detail is what spoke to me. Jennifer is phenomenal at what she does and I knew I had to hire her within five minutes of our first phone conversation. Simply put, we were on the same page so much that I felt like she could finish my sentences. She just understood me so well that it felt like she was an extension of my own style and creativity. The wedding was in St. Joseph MI and I live on the Detroit side. Jenn didn’t hesitate to drive from Grand Rapids to meet me at the wedding venue for our first meeting. She brought all kinds off goodies to showcase her design ideas and I was in awe. I held her hostage at a coffee shop for a couple of hours afterward so we could hash out all the exciting details of the day. This in and of itself impressed my family. She made me feel like my wedding was her highest priority every step of the way. This amazed me because I know how busy she is. She went above and beyond to help me in so many ways. For example, I had a problem with my wedding favors a few days before the wedding because I was trying to save money. Jenn swooped in and told me to stop what I was doing so that she could handle it for me. She was flexible with budget as we added and subtracted, and patient as the floor plan changed a half-dozen times. I will never forget the moment I saw the reception space in full bloom. It took my breath away and I couldn’t help but think, “My gosh this is like a David Tutera TV moment.” My jaw dropped and I stood there speechless for several minutes. The space was gorgeous. After the sun had set I looked around the room at the abundance of blooms and twinkling candlelight and smiled to myself. It was such a beautiful moment. I stood there completely relaxed and content and let the memory sink in. It felt like a dream. I keep using the word “fairytale” whenever I describe the wedding and in reality I’m describing the work of Modern Day Floral. Thank you Jenn for putting your heart into your work. Thank you for your time, dedication, attention to detail, and patience. Thank you for making our special day unforgettable.

First daughter getting married so not sure what to expect but WOW were we in for the most fabulous wedding ever! Jenn Ederer and her staff followed our kids wishes to a T. Our floral arrangements for the wedding and the reception (in the Ambassador Ballroom at the Amway) were so spectacular that even men attendees were stunned and commenting. Our kids wanted color and we got color; dripping orchids, hydrangeas, peonies, roses in colors so brilliant they took your breath away! I am not kidding... With the beautiful navy blue tablecloths and candles it was the fairy tale all girls dream of. From our first meeting with Jenn to the end of the reception, she and her staff treated us like we were the only ones they needed to focus on. They assisted at the church and all along the way and made us all feel so comfortable that we all could just relax and really enjoy the service at church and the reception. No detail was overlooked and we didn't have to do one thing. It was so joyous and fun. All of our guests said it the best wedding and reception they'd ever been to. Dads of future brides thanked us for setting the bar so high. We cannot thank Modern Day Floral enough for making Andrea and Justin's wedding perfect and without stress! We told Jennifer that we wanted Modern Day Floral to make our wedding simple, but elegant. She delivered beyond our wildest dreams. Our flowers were exquisite, the table settings magnificent, and the whole process was so smooth. I would tell anyone and everyone to use Modern Day for any type of event. Jenn and her team were true professionals. Any questions or concerns that we had they addressed right away and they listened to what we wanted to achieve in our wedding and reception. I worked with Jennifer and Erin from Modern Day Floral and I had such and amazing experience, they were both really great and very understanding of budget restrictions. They work with you and make sure you have the wedding and flowers of your dreams even if you have a budget.My bouquet was seriously exactly what I had dreamed of and so were all my table settings and flowers, Jennifer and Erin are what made my wedding magical with the amazingly beautiful flower arrangements they made. Jenn and her team at Modern Day are truly amazing!! From the moment I sat down with her I knew our wedding was going to be in great hands! She took the ideas I had and created the most beautiful wedding and reception I could've ever dreamed of! Throughout the planning process they were all so good about communicating and getting back to us with any questions and ideas we had. One of the most important things to us was keeping it all personal and "us" and not getting carried away or too over the top. Jenn listened to everything and nailed it! Modern Day Floral was a dream to work with and worth every penny! The attention to detail, sincere care, and service they provide was beyond my expectations. I could not have been happier. I work with high-end clients in a service oriented industry myself and understand the amount of work that they put in behind the scenes while making it all look effortless. The flowers were the most gorgeous I had ever seen and again beyond my expectations. People are still telling me how beautiful and unique the flowers were to this day. I was planning my wedding remotely out of state and I must say the website made planning/coordinating effortless. All documents, images, and conversations were documented which was helpful for me to refer back to. I also hired them for day-of coordination which I highly recommend. I cannot imagine what a nightmare it would be to not at least have a day-of planner/coordinator. If I was not in the design field I would definitely have hired them to plan the entire event. Erin and Jenn were also very accommodating regarding my specific quirky design requests using special ribbon I found and custom painting the vases to get the exact look I wanted. Erin understood what I was looking for and make great recommendations. For rehearsal and wedding day MDF took charge and kept things (and people) in order. It put me at ease to know that someone else was taking care of all the details and communicating to all parties. I would highly recommend Modern Day Floral for floral, design, and planning. Do yourself a favor and hire them!

I worked with Jen from Modern Day Floral for our flowers. The most important thing for me at the reception was the flowers, so I was willing to pay the extra for Jen's work, and it is WORTH IT. She is an artist with a lovely personality, and has the ability to see exactly what your vision is! Everyone raved about our flowers and decor for weeks afterwards!

I met Jenn at Amway’s Bridal Show about a year and a half before my wedding, and I cannot say enough about my experience with Modern Day Floral! (They deserve more than a 5/5!) My husband and I used Jenn and her team not only for florals for our May 2013 wedding, but also full event design, rentals, stationary, event planning, and coordinating. When Jenn initially asked me what I wanted my ceremony and reception to look like, I gave her a very broad description. I wanted an eclectic combination of vintage and modern, with cascading flowers (orchids, peony, roses, and clematis!), candelabras, and crystals - something intimate for the ceremony, and breathtaking for the reception. After a few more questions regarding my husband and mine’s personal style and taste, she already had design ideas! By our second meeting, she had shown us hundreds of gorgeous stationary (invitations, menus, place cards, etc.) to which we chose our style, and then the real fun began! Jenn and her assistant Amanda both gave me their personal cell numbers, and I was free to contact (call or text) them at any time with questions or ideas - to which they always had a timely response. I truly felt like the only bride, even though I know I was one of many! After months of seating charts, deciding on tableware “Nile blue or champagne?”, “How about adding Hydrangea?”, and “More candles!” we had our rendering. It was amazing how Jenn had taken little bits and pieces of our taste as a couple, and transformed it into a table, florals and place setting! Then came our big day! What Jenn and her team came up with was amazing and exactly what we had dreamed - it was truly our fairytale come true. For our ceremony, the aura was so romantic and intimate from the candles lining the aisle, to the large floral pieces with hints of lilac in honor of my husband’s late father. Oh and my bouquet! It was huge! When Jenn first brought it to me that morning, my reaction was “Oh my!!” and I just couldn’t help but smile! (My bridesmaids just loved their bouquets as well!) Our reception was simply breathtaking. Jenn and Amanda took us in for a “reveal” just after our ceremony, and we were blown away! (There were happy tears!) A beautiful mandap tent covered our dance floor with shimmering chandeliers peaking out underneath. And oh the cascading florals, candelabras, shimmering crystals, and candles! It was like we had stepped back in time into a lavish, romantic garden party! We were very happy with our experience with Jenn and her team. They are very professional, extremely creative, and experienced. I highly recommend them and look forward to using them for birthdays, showers, and anniversaries in the future! From before I was even engaged, I knew I wanted to use Jenn and Modern Day Floral and Events for my wedding. I had seen some of her work at other weddings, and from looking at her beautiful pictures on her website, I knew her style and vision would match mine. In fact, when I knew a proposal was going to be happening in the very near future, the first thing I did was get in contact with Jenn and set up a meeting. I briefly explained a few ideas I had about colors and flowers through an online inventory, and at the very first meeting, she already had a beautiful table set with exactly what I had envisioned my wedding table would look like. It was exquisite. To say Jenn goes above and beyond is an understatement. I am constantly amazed at her ability to know exactly what color of champagne I want, the exact type of blush I am referring to, the exact bouquet I want ...the list is endless. It is especially amazing that usually I feel like my descriptions of what I want are confusing and vague, yet every time, she makes the vision I had in my mind a reality. The details are some of the most important parts of the wedding day, and she knows that and makes sure all the details are attended to. She also avails herself at any hour of the day. She responds to texts, emails, phone calls incredibly promptly and always makes you feel like you are the only person that matters, even when she has several other weddings and events she is planning. Jenn is the absolute best person in the wedding industry, and I feel so lucky to get to have her plan my wedding.

One of the things that I didn’t want to skimp on for my wedding was the flowers and I just starting working with MDF for my June 2013 wedding and am BEYOND impressed. Their space in Amway is gorgeous and has some fantastic and inspiring details! I met with one of Jenn’s assistants and she knew her stuff and had some fabulous suggestions! She helped me create 3 completely different looks that all complimented each other very well and helped createthe vision that I had. She then went over everything with Jenn and they made a few tweaks and by the details that are in my proposal I am SO excited to see what they look like in person next summer!

We worked with Jenn and Erin for my flowers for our wedding and the centerpieces were gorgeous as well as everything else. They created three different centerpieces of various heights which turned out great for our reception. The grooms parents thought that the florals were fake, but were surprised that everything was real!! It was very easy to work with them and Jenn created beautiful flowers for our event. We met with her twice and she took care of everything else according to what I wanted and what we discussed. They were also able to work within my budget and we easily could change the contract if we saw something that we wanted to change, which was a major factor. They delivered everything at our hotel room, with all the bouquets in vases with water and packaged separetely for each bridesmaid to take home after the wedding. We also rented linens from them which was great. I would suggest them to anyone!

I have only begun to work with Modern Day Floral and I can honestly say that I am beyond impressed! Jenn and her team are absolutely amazing. In our very first meeting Jenn was able to lay out a stunning vision and design of our special day. Jenn is one of a kind in regards to her eye for detail and creativity. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, I definitely could not plan my day without them.
