They were so nice and helpful. They helped us find new vendors when ours fell through and made sure that we really had everything we needed.
The owner Keith was awesome! He was very responsive to all my forms of communication. The venue is well kept and provides a location for the ceremony and reception.
I would highly recommend working with this venue.
The most beautiful wedding venue we could have ever dreamed of! Keith was on top of everything from the start and we could rely on his to respond to any of our many questions very promptly. He and his staff were so helpful and professional and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful wedding!
Mohican Gardens was absolutely perfect for our wedding day! Keith was helpful and communicative throughout the process and it was so great to have everything included for the price. The flowers and hanging baskets in the conservatory were gorgeous and made decorating so easy. Keith made the process simple and had lots of good insights when planning. This is a great, unique, all-in-one venue!
This was a beautiful place to have my wedding. We keep saying that it was the perfect day, but the venue is not what made it so perfect. There were several things that we were told in our meetings with the owners, that did not actually happen that way on the day of. Not big things, but for a detail girl like me, I noticed. I will also say, it is very hard to get ahold of the owners. I had to call three times just to set up a meeting the week before my wedding to do a walk through and line up times. I got an email 72 days out from my wedding as a reminder that final payment would be due 90 days out. Small things, yes, but just not very organized. We loved that we were able to bring RVs into the property to get ready in! That helped a ton.
Our daughter had a wedding and reception here in mid October. It was cold and cloudy and absolutely beautiful! The conservatory has so much room and was so inviting we didn't need to over decorate. The owners were wonderful to work with and were right there to help with any issues that arose. We had plans in case of rain, and didn't stress about weather. This is a great venue!!
If you're looking for a one of a kind venue, here is it. The greenhouse atmosphere is beyond breathtaking and whimsical. The sunsets over the pond are perfect and it makes the sky look as if it's on fire (great for photos). There is one room for changing and we did not run into any issues between the guys and girls needing to use it. We had the timeline staggered so there would't be any issues. I truly have nothing but high praises for this location and for Keith and Mary. We had our wedding the 3rd week of September and it was PERFECT! Keith and Mary worked hard to ensure that our Big Day was as seamless as possible, which it was.
We can’t recommend Mohican Gardens enough! They were so easy to work with, answered all of my questions before I even asked them! Our wedding was the end of August and this was the perfect venue to hold 250 guests and not have to worry too much about the weather and With the fans in the greenhouse it kept air moving and cooled down to be very comfortable! Our guests RAVED about the uniqueness and absolutely stunning venue. we highly recommend going to check it out for yourself!
Let me start off by saying this venue is beautiful. However, the owner is someone no one should ever have to work with for their wedding. At the beginning he comes off as someone who is willing to work with you and a nice guy, but after the dotted line is signed and he gets your money, everything changes. This venue functions as a greenhouse as well as a venue, and on the day of our wedding, instead of staying open until noon like he had promised, he stayed open until 4 pm. This meant that we could not fully decorate the venue fully until after 4, even though our ceremony started at 6. This made the day very stressful. Because we paid a good chunk of money to reserve the greenhouse for our wedding day, we should not have had to worry about the traffic of other people coming in and out of the greenhouse. The owners need to decide if they want to be a greenhouse or a wedding venue. Communication was also terrible. I had emailed/ called him multiple times during the weeks leading up to the ceremony to ask about seating for the reception, and he never responded. We had to physically drive there (hours away) to get any response, and it was still somewhat unresolved the day before the wedding. They will also promise you an air conditioned green house and then ignore your request to have it turned on the day of saying "it will get cool in the evening," even though everyone was sweating and getting dehydrated while taking pictures and preparing the venue. The owner is overall very rude and caused a lot of unneeded stress to the bride, groom, and everyone else who was involved in the wedding. A specific example was when he told me the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding that I couldn't have name cards placed on the tables because of the fans. I understand the concept, but this is something that should have been addressed before, and then we could have planned to have done something differently. Luckily, I had an amazing wedding coordinator that taped rocks to each name card to weigh them down. I cannot emphasize how much I do NOT advise anyone to go through the stress that my family, my bridal party, my wedding coordinator, my husband, or I went through. It is so sad because the venue is so pretty, but no one deserves to be treated the way we were treated.
I can not say enough positive things about using Mohican Gardens as the venue for both our ceremony and reception. They were wonderful to work with - helpful and responsive. I felt that their venue was a good value. Best of all - the gardens were beautiful in late summer, the barn made for an excellent cocktail hour, and the greenhouse was a lovely and unique setting for the reception. It has been almost 2 months and our guests have not stopped talking about how impressed they were by Mohican Gardens. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique setting with a nature vibe.
Keith and his wife were so easy to work with and were extremely accommodating. We got to use part of our rehearsal time to set up some decorations and we got to get to the venue early to set up on the big day. Were very helpful in making sure the guests knew were to be and when it came time to tear down the wedding. Was also very helpful when it came to finding other vendors to work with and local spots for our families to spend time.
