It's also a short walk to NJ Transit, and a quick car-sharing ride from Seastreak Ferry stops, making travel from the city convenient even without a car. The Molly offers a classic, old-school elegance reminiscent of Count Basie's heyday - timeless and stylish, without feeling overdone. The views of the Navesink river from the promenade and dining room are breathtaking, and elevate the entire atmosphere. Then, there's the food. I've been to The Dining Room multiple times for lunch and dinner, and every meal I've had there has been somewhere on the spectrum between wonderful and exceptional. The food provided for the wedding was no exception - the cocktail hour was so abundant that many guests thought that it *was* the dinner. From scallops with bacon, to duck ravioli and spring rolls, everything was top notch. Our dinner featured the filet mignon, pistachio-crusted salmon, and herb-marinated chicken, all cooked to perfection. Even the short rib - which unfortunately didn't make our final cut - is so good, we highly recommend it for regular dining. The ballroom comfortably fit our ~130 guests - intimate without feeling crowded, and not so large to ever feel empty. The Molly provided uplighting that really accentuated the color palette we chose and turned an already beautiful ballroom into an exciting dance floor. We were lucky to work with Lauren, the coordinator, who was professional, kind, and impressively organized. She walked us through everything calmly and with clarity, coordinating our vendors behind the scenes so we could enjoy the day without a hitch. On the day-of, Cristian, the maitre d'hotel, was attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. He paid attention to the little details, like a quick flute of bubbly right after exiting the ceremony, or ushering us to a separate space to get some food and libation before joining the guests, that made us feel so special. They have a bar/lounge semi-enclosed next to the dining room which we used as an after party space, which was a perfect cozy and relaxing way to end the big day. We used the Navesink room for brunch the day after, and once again the food was excellent, the staff was kind and attentive, and the river views and outdoor section made for a magical send off for our guests. Some reviews complain that the rooms aren't modern enough - to me, that's missing the point. The Molly Pitcher is historic and full of charm. Expecting minimalist modernity at a place like this is like booking a ski lodge and expecting an experience you'd have at a chain hotel. If you want great food, beautiful views, timeless charm, and a staff that makes your big day effortless and extraordinary - a place that's elegant, yet accessible - The Molly Pitcher Inn should be at the top of your list!

sh, the MP was a pleasure to work with. We worked with Lauren who was the absolute best! Lauren answered every single question I had and helped me figure out a menu, for me, a celiac bride. Every guest raved about the allergy accommodations from people who were gluten free to dairy free and vegan. Overall, the guests could not stop talking about how good the food was. Christian was our Maitre D the day of the wedding and wow he is fantastic. He was a calm force and was on top of every little detail. I could not imagine the day going more smoothly. Anne, our bridal attendant, was equally amazing. All of our guests enjoyed the hotel accommodations and the ease of it all. Overall it was a truly stunning wedding they put on and an amazing experience working with them. Would recommend them to anyone getting married in a heartbeat.

The service the night of the wedding, during the day at the restaurant and bar, at the pool, the housekeeping and all of the staff was impeccable. I could not write enough good things about this venue, and I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding. I will cherish the memories created at the Molly Pitcher for years to come and cannot wait to create more. There’s a little slice of heaven on earth, and I’d like to call it the Molly Pitcher Inn.

I had looked at quite a few places to get married and decided we wanted a venue with onsite accommodations. We got married in July 2022 and I am thrilled to say it was the best weekend of our lives! We had 150 guests, many of whom were traveling. Almost all of our guests stayed at the MPI or Oyster Point (sister hotel right next to the MPI). We hosted a Welcome Party at the Oyster Point the night before our wedding, held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Molly Pitcher Inn, and also hosted a breakfast the following morning at the Molly Pitcher Inn. The entire weekend was seamless. Every event felt unique and was well done. The staff was incredibly hard working, attentive, and friendly. The entire weekend felt very under control and we were able to just enjoy ourselves. Huge shout out to Lauren, our Catering Sales Manager, who was so organized and answered all of our questions throughout the process! Also, huge shout out to Christian, our Maitre D, who made sure every detail of our weekend was perfect! Our guests were blown away by the quality of the food (many said it was the best they've ever had at a wedding) and how accommodating everyone was. The pool was a great touch and all of our guests loved being able to hang out there before the wedding and some even stayed the next day. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. We were sad to check-out but are happy to say we plan to check back in for our anniversary!

lso had to reach out to the hotel to confirm and obtain the guest list because there was NO communication from the hotel staff by email or phone calls. The Best Man and a groomsmen were kicked out of their room on Saturday (they were told they were only booked for Friday night) as the wedding photographer arrived to shoot the “getting ready” portion. Not only did this cause a delay with the photographer, the staff mishandled the entire situation from answering how this error happened, lack of caring and customer service, to offering very little in compensation. Additionally they did not even get the room block rate for their stay. Although they did offer to put the gentlemen in their sister hotel at the room block rate, this would have caused a major problem with the schedule of events for the wedding day including Limo pick and drop off. We reached out to the director of reservations and after several emails and phone calls, she finally gave a credit for the difference for the charge of a normal booking to the room block rate, after she already stated it was a reasonable request to refund the entire stay. They also placed 3 pending room charges (for a 2 night stay) on another guest credit card and could not explain why. The Hotel rooms are outdated and 2 of the 3 treadmills in the Fitness Center were not working. In comparison to the other hotels we had room blocks at, this was by far the worst experience and I would not recommend a stay at the Molly Pitcher for: *lack of communication *lack of customer service *lack of knowledge of how to handle guest questions and concerns *outdated rooms and broken equipment in fitness center *overcharging and not explaining why *delay in following up *over promising and under delivering

r the day of my wedding was absolutely terrible. I was worried the ballroom wouldn’t be as nice - but it was honestly perfect (see my review of my florist - the arch she did really completed the ceremony look). They had a small table for our unity ceremony and another table for my MOH to put my bouquet. They had a curtain that was pulled aside to reveal me as I walked down the aisle. Even with the worst case scenario (a thunderstorm all MDW long after postponing twice due to covid), they were able to help me have a beautiful wedding ceremony. And hopefully if you book there you have great weather and get to be on the promenade!

. My original wedding date was May 31st, but due to covid they offered me a second home date right away. The entire process was effortless from beginning to end. The wedding catering managers ( Kelly & then Judy) we’re very knowledgeable and always ready to help and answer all my questions. My Maitre D was Cristian, he saw my vision and made sure my wedding ceremony and reception were beautiful and just absolutely perfect. All my guest felt safe with all the COVID measures in place and everyone raved about the food. My day was just perfect and I’ll definitely look forward to having other future events at the Molly Pitcher.

our wedding was in June, I sent out the reservation block information with our save the dates. However, it is important to relay to your guests that rooms book up fast! Some of our guests waited too long, and could not stay at the MPI. The venue is beautiful and has an old world charm to it. You are on the Navesink River, which helps you feel more relaxed right away. Again, the staff members were excellent. We worked with Judy who was very helpful and efficient. We also were helped by Katie who has really awesome ideas to help you plan your wedding day. Our ceremony was outside. It is windy out on the deck, but the view is why we wanted to get married at MPI. We did not do an arch or anything fancy, because I did not want to take away from the view. Instead, we rented palms from Guaranteed Plants in Rumson. Steve there is amazing and so reasonable. On the day of the wedding, I was completely catered to by all of the staff at the MPI. They helped our day run perfectly. Our maitre de Cristian was so attentive on the day of. He was constantly running around making sure our guests and us were happy. We could not have been happier with our choice to get married at the Molly Pitcher Inn. We are excited to come back for our first year anniversary!

We had the absolute time of our lives and I wish I could relive every moment! You cannot go wrong booking the MPI for any big event!!! It is sure to be memorable and wow your guests!

She worked through all of the issues I had with Jennifer (e.g. not informing me of certain menu selections), which led to a successful event. I worked with Kelly to select the final menu and table arrangements and make the final payment. On the day of the event, I was able to pay any outstanding charges (e.g. beverages) via credit card. I selected a brunch menu, which the Molly Pitcher is known for. Everyone loved the food (especially the French toast and crab cakes!), the drinks, and the views of the Navesink River. With the help of Kelly and Cristian (the maître D), the event was seamless. Thanks again! TLDR: Great venue with good, reasonably priced food

The transition was seamless and she was easy to reach with questions or concerns. Allison and her staff worked to make every planning process from meal selections to final payments laughably easy despite the fact that we live out of state. My husband and I even got the time wrong for our final in-person meeting (still feelin’ guilty) but she was understanding and we were able to meet anyway. Our Maître’ d was Christian who was outstandingly attentive and professional on our wedding day. The ballroom was stunning – a perfect fit for our 130 guests. It was roomy but cozy at the same time. Guests are still raving about the delicious food and the warm atmosphere (we got married in October 2017). We’re actively trying to rope friends into booking their weddings at MPI so that we can enjoy a wedding there again soon. It was that great, I’d relive it for sure. Our only hitch was that our wedding night suite was adjacent to a bridal party that was loudly getting ready at 3:00 am at for their brunch wedding. We were peeved about that since we were totally zonked (and happy for them, of course – but they’d soon understand!). The front desk sorted it out. We truly appreciated those with whom we worked directly at Molly Pitcher Inn and their team of unbeatable staff who made our day so memorable. My husband and I look forward to visiting Molly Pitcher in the future to celebrate the anniversary of our special day. We highly recommend this fantastic team wholeheartedly and without reservation.

through. What I'm about to say does not reflect on Kelly at all, she was absolutely amazing and deserves a raise. However, the transition was not smooth to the new contact. The service level instantly decreased as we got closer which is not ideal for a bride working overtime in another state, taking care of a household etc up until the wedding. I am a proactive customer who is in the customer service industry for years now. To make a long story short I felt like the new contact (director) and catering manager were passing the buck between each other. They were not friendly from the first interaction. I called on a weekly basis with questions and was given half of a response and told I needed to call back. When I did I only received conflicting information. Personally, I felt like these people simply did not care because it was not their sale or normal job. The night of our rehearsal we were told Molly could not fit an entire table in the ballroom. We wound up having to disperse the table amongst others. Something I should not have had to do the night before my wedding. It also seemed the check in area was a bit overwhelmed when we all came in. I will be filing a formal complaint regarding the way certain things were handled. On a lighter note the food was great, atmosphere was great, rooms were clean and we wound up having a great night.

to talk to Kelly, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. We wanted an outdoor ceremony as well as a venue that had hotel rooms. We wanted a one stop shop and the Molly was the perfect choice. Kelly was amazing through out the process and answered every email so quickly. Linda was also very helpful when it came to booking rooms and our room blocks. Fernando was our Maitre D and he was wonderful. He made sure everything was taken care of from start to finish and even during our brunch the next morning! We went with a buffet for dinner because in our opinion you get so much more food than a sit down dinner and we didn't want a formal sit down dinner. We wanted to keep the party going and let our guests eat as they wanted. Everyone raved about all the stations and our guests especially loved the kobe beef slider/french fry station at the end of the night! What my husband and I also really loved about the Molly was that you essentially get 3 rooms as well as the outside promenade. The ceremony was outside on the promenade then the cocktail hour was inside the Southampton room as well as outside. The reception was in the ballroom and the photobooth was set up in the tea room so the whole night, guests flowed easily between the three rooms. We felt you truly got the most out of your money with the Molly Pitcher Inn compared to other venues!

During the day rain threatened and she clearly explained our multiple backup options just in case. Thankfully the rain held out and her and her team sprung in to action to make sure we could still have an outdoor ceremony. Whenever small items came up throughout the night, she was quick to either resolve them personally or have someone on her team take care of it. The service was excellent! I have to take a second to also rave about the food. I knew we were in for a treat at the taste testing, but we still have people telling us how excellent the food was several weeks later. The Molly Pitcher Inn truly is the total package when it comes to weddings and other events. One final positive fact which I really enjoyed about the Molly Pitcher Inn compared to other venues is that their prices are inclusive of tax, meaning you know what you will pay up front and don't get stuck pulling out your phone to calculate tax at the meeting, what you see is what you get! I cannot recommend Kelly, Jessica, the staff and The Molly Pitcher Inn enough, go check it out yourself!

We could not have had anyone better than Bill Murray and our Maitre D' Christian to rely on before and on our wedding day. There is not one thing that went wrong the entire day and there honestly couldn't have because of how efficient and intelligent the staff was. Now that our wedding has come and gone, something that my husband and I LOVE about The Molly Pitcher Inn is that we can come and stay again at our venue, experiencing the amazing food and views over and over again. They are both insanely good at their jobs helping me to plan an event that the memories will last a lifetime. Then, my guests could simply walk upstairs and fall asleep! I can't say enough about this venue. July 15, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable wedding. All matters of our event were handled excellently. From the moment we booked our wedding, Kelly was extremely helpful and was there to answer any and all questions we had. Kelly was always very honest, flexible, and helpful about every aspect of our wedding day. The day of our wedding was perfect, and Kelly and Odelia, our Matrie d’, ensured the day went as stress free and smooth as possible. They took care of EVERYTHING and made sure my husband and I were comfortable at all times. Our guests loved how there are rooms on-site, as well as a bar open until 2AM for those who like to keep the party going. Food was also fantastic; guests raved about the entire experience. We also were fortunate to have Cristian Soto as the maitre d' for the day of our wedding. He made sure that I always had a drink in my hand (much needed!) and was VERY kind and patient with as everything came together. I had wanted an outdoor ceremony but unfortunately the weather didn't hold out. It was hard for me to rearrange everything in my mind for the indoor ceremony but Cristian and his staff were extremely accommodating and had no issues moving things around until they exceeded my expectations. He never made me feel pressured to make a decision and never said "that can't be done." He made sure that I was happy in one of the most stressful times in my life. We were able to enjoy the night knowing that Cristian had everything under control. Everything went better than expected - the food, the staff, the drinks - everything! We couldn't have asked for a better night!
