Stop your search for a wedding caterer and choose Montauk Catering! Joy and Al catered our 110-person tent wedding, as well as our rehearsal dinner, and we could not have been happier. First and foremost, their food is amazing! Friends were still complimenting the food months later, and many guests told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had, bar none. Joy and Al worked tirelessly with us to craft a menu that showcased the the late summer bounty of the East End. It was important for us that the food was as locally sourced as possible and their expert knowledge of the ingredients made that happen. Everyone loved the food so much, so they kept the buffet open until everything was polished off. They were also conscious of our budget and helped keep our vision within our means, which is always very much appreciated. In addition to the amazing food they prepared, Joy and Al helped guide us through the process. We held the event on family land and were busy planting the field with grasses and wildflowers leading up to the date. We wanted to do as much as we could by ourselves so we didn't have a wedding planner. Joy and Al were very communicative and walked us through everything we needed, and helped advise on the schedule and timing. We all did a walk-through of the site well before the wedding to review what would happen where and when. They even attended the meeting with the rental company with us to ensure we had all the rentals we would need. Montauk Catering had everything covered, and gave us great suggestions at our walk-through which we were able to incorporate into the wedding. With us doing so much of the planning ourselves, Joy and Al made sure that no detail fell through the cracks and truly were integral to making our wedding day spectacular! Finally, there is Joy and Al themselves. They are down to earth and on point, and they made us feel like friends from our first meeting. We wanted our wedding to be a big celebration of love and life and to have those good feelings extend to the vendors that we chose to be there with us. Joy and Al were the *perfect* fit for us and we couldn't have been happier at the end of the night when everything went down perfectly. We could not recommend Montauk Catering enough!

Al and Joy from Montauk Catering were an absolute pleasure to work with. They catered our 60 person backyard wedding in Montauk and their food exceeded our already high expectations. A number of guests said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We had so much fund sitting down with Joy and Al and crafting the meal down to every last ingredient. They managed to recreate our favorite poached lobster cobb salad from Duryea's (a restaurant local to Montauk) which made us so happy. It's clear that they take great pride in their food. Staffing has definitely been a challenge due to the pandemic so my one recommendation is to make sure you review the staffing plan in advance and expect that you may have to pay a bit more to ensure you have enough staff for your event. We absolutely recommend Montauk Catering and would happily work with them again.

I don't even know where to begin! Hiring Al & Joy @ Montauk Catering Co. was the best decision we could have possibly made for our DIY tented backyard wedding (of ~140 people). They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make every aspect of our day so special and they weren't even our wedding planners!! The food was out of this world, every guest commented on it, and it was so fun to come up with a creative menu together with no limits. We got to pick exactly what we wanted with great recs from Al & Joy and it was so beautifully displayed with amazing taste. The rest of their team was amazing as well. We so loved the bartenders (and their specialty cocktails) and all of the staff were so friendly and worked so hard! We were even trying to get them to dance with us by the end of the night. The best part about Al & Joy though is that their personalities are just as great as their food. They made us feel like family to them, helping us and giving us advice on so many details, and we are honestly sad to not be working with them on a weekly basis anymore! We felt like friends by the time the wedding came around, and I know we will continue to use them for anything food/entertainment related that may come up in our future!! I cannot recommend Al & Joy and their company enough - they were BY FAR the best vendor we worked with and I'm so glad we stumbled upon them in our search!!

I have been holding off on providing a review from our July wedding because I can't seem to come up with the words to describe our experience with Joy, Al, and their team. "Outstanding" doesn't do it justice! From the moment we contacted them, they were responsive and thorough, creative with the menu, patient with our many, many questions, and willing to work with us to make our intimate wedding an absolute hit. I didn't have a single moment of stress when it came to planning the food for our big day - in fact, it was FUN! To say the food was the highlight of our wedding is an understatement. Every single team member they brought with was warm, kind, and fun. I'm a self-proclaimed "foodie" but I have no hesitation in sharing that this was the best and most fun meal I've ever had. The effort and care they put into every single dish (both planning and cooking) exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles appetizer. THANK YOU for making our day so memorable. Desperately seeking an excuse for another party so I can hire you again.
