Star Island made all our dreams come true. They were so accommodating and everything was so seamless and stress free. Ginny and Blair along with the entire staff truly are amazing! What a fantastic venue.
Our daughter got married at the Montauk Yacht Club last weekend. It was a perfect weekend. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and brunch at the MYC. Every part of the weekend was wonderful. The venue is beautiful. The staff was very responsive to our needs during the planning and the entire weekend. Kaitlyn's no problem attitude was especially appreciated. Our guests enjoyed being at the MYC and had fun exploring Montauk.
My wedding was phenomenal!! Gurney's Montauk Yacht Club is an absolutely stunning venue and hotel. The Farmhouse Ballroom is so gorgeous! My guests absolutely loved the indoor/outdoor feel with the bar outside and the dancing and tables inside. I was supposed to get married outside but it was a really windy day. Getting married in the farmhouse ballroom blew my mind away, though! You can't go wrong with any of the ceremony/cocktail hour locations. The venue completely fulfilled (and exceeded my expectations)! Bretlin worked with me every step of the way as I made a ton of changes, Kaitlyn answered everyone of my million questions, and Denice did a wonderful job arranging everything the day of. Donovan was an amazing banquet coordinator and the wait staff was so nice and so attentive. The drinks were strong, the food was great and the wedding day went super smooth. I could not have asked for a better day!

The best venue!! Absolute perfection! Everything was done to beyond my expectation- the set up completely fulfilled my expectations- everything was done beautifully! Despite going through several changes during our planning process, the yacht club did not fall short on anything! The food was amazing (filet mignon and sea bass)- I mean what guests rave about wedding food but our guests were! The staff were delightful, organized, and helpful! The only thing I would suggest is to ask the yacht club to serve your band/DJ first (instead of last) so they can get started playing as people finish their meals!
We got married at the MYC in May 2017 and had the most amazing wedding ever. Rachel was so amazing throughout the whole process and we could not thank her enough for everything she did!! The MYC is seriously the most beautiful venue and our guests are still talking about it. We would not change a thing! I would 100% recommend having your wedding at the MYC, you will not be disappointed!!
MYC was incredibly easy to work with when planning our special day. Everything from the food, to how they listened to how we wanted the room decorated was amazing. Any little concern we had, they listened to and kindly reassured us in any way they could, that this day would be absolutely perfect...and it was!
Rachel, the event coordinator, was amazing and incredibly attentive to details. She made sure that my husband and I always had food at the ready and a drink in our hands. She ran the whole night very smoothly, from our entrance via boat to the marina to our sparkler send-off. She was even able to negotiate on a few pricing items.
This would have been a 5-star review if they hadn't made one crucial flaw: a banquet staff member must have discarded my bouquet in the cleanup process, which had my grandmother's locket on it. I'm absolutely HEARTBROKEN that it's gone. I contacted them several times but they repetitively said that they could find my bouquet or the locket.
While I wouldn't say the venue was cheap, I would absolutely pick MYC again for our wedding. Just be sure to specify that you want your decor, AND BOUQUET back at the end of the evening.
We could not have asked for a better venue. Rachel and her team really went out of their way to make our day one to remember. All of our guests had an amazing time and couldn't stop gushing about the location and the little details. We really had an excellent time and despite the staffing changes that occurred in the year leading up, Rachel really came through for us. Thanks for everything!
We had our wedding at the MYC this past weekend and I must say the event was breathtaking. I got off to a rocky start with the Yacht club as this past year they have had some substantial staffing changes that added quite a bit of stress to my life but they really pulled it together when it counted. As we approached our date Rachel did a great job of being available and following up with me on what was needed, when things were to be done and what things cost. The location in unmatched and if I could do it again I would not change a thing. Our guests were floored by the ballroom, the views, the hotel rooms and the service.
Overall the Montauk Yacht Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. There were a few hiccups on the way (their chef and wedding coordinator changed halfway through and the change wasn't handled amazingly) but in the end the perfect execution was worth it. They easily made day of changes (it was a little too windy for the outdoor cocktail hour we planned and they seamlessly moved it inside) and made us feel comfortable the entire day. Highly recommend!
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in May 2014 and we had a wonderful experience as did all of our guests. It was nice they had options for after the reception- we did the s'mores and more drinks outside, and I highly recommend getting the s'mores! The cocktail hour on the patio made for great photos. Overall we had a great experience!
When looking for a wedding venue my (now) husband and I had a lot of criteria to be met. The Montauk Yacht Club offered everything we were looking for and more. It goes without saying that the setting is gorgeous but what you may not know just from a visit is how wonderful Michelle, Amanda, and the rest of the catering staff at MYC are to work with.
They were great about communicating and making sure we were happy throughout the whole planning process. The entire staff at the MYC is so detail oriented and just what a bride and groom need to put their minds at ease. When it came time to the actual wedding day they truly made sure our day was seamless and perfect.
Perfect location. Have your ceremony on the beach and room for the reception inside. Guests can stay here too and I love their private cottages for the bride and groom. Beautiful location. Love it!
