Working with Aviator Hotels and Suites and the Monticello Grand Ballroom was a complete rollercoaster full of good and bad moments. Let's start with the bad, during the 14 months we were working with Aviator, we went through 3 venue coordinators and an ownership change. Although, the new ownership promised to honor the promises made by the previous owners, they ended up reneging on several things. First was doing a plated dinner, the new ownership was willing to do it, but said due to short staff (usually they only do 75 guests or less and we had 130) dinner would take significantly longer and eat up a large chunk of our reception. Second, was use of the sound system, a couple months before the wedding we were told their sound system didn't work and that they had no intention of fixing it before our event. Luckily, I was able to purchase a few bluetooth speakers and a microphone for under $100 and it all worked perfectly. Third, the set up of our ceremony and reception changed 3-4 times, although the final set up worked great, there were a lot of headaches having to constantly readjust plans. Next was the day of the ceremony/reception, our coordinator was unable to work that day due to a personal conflict (understandable, we all have personal lives and some things need to be prioritized), but the person who was left in charge for the day, then decided to call in sick without telling us or the coordinator. This left a complete communication gap and no-one to coordinate the staff. We were supposed to have a champagne toast as part of our package that never happened, we had to practically beg the kitchen staff to take our cake to be cut to be served, so we could move the reception along, among other issues. I ended up spending a good portion of my wedding reception organizing the staff instead of enjoying the day with my new wife. This was the biggest gripe i had and consider it completely unacceptable and if it weren't for the good parts I'll list below, this would be a 1 star review. Next is the hotel, we were given a complimentary suite with our wedding package and told that they hotel is pet friendly, which we were excited about because it meant our dog could be included in the wedding. What we were surprised to find out at check-in, is that there is an $80 "pet fee" that was not disclosed before. I understand the fee, maybe not the price, but either way it's something that we should have been informed about prior to check-in. The rooms themselves are out dated, and the furniture is in dire need of being replaced. The key for our door would only work intermittently and would need to be swiped sometimes as many as 5-6 times before working and we had to have it recoded at least twice.
I'm running out of characters, so let's get to the good because I want this to be a fair and honest review. The staff at the hotel and the reception were absolutely amazing!!! Anna worked hard to come up with solutions to make things work when changes arose. The front desk staff, kitchen staff, and everyone else worked so hard and were so accommodating. They are the true heroes of this story and we appreciate every single one of them. Also, the house DJ company RockStar DJ, Doc did an amazing job and we really enjoyed working with him.
Overall, despite the issues, nothing stopped this from being the single best day of my life and ultimately I would consider recommending Aviator, even if it is just because of their awesome staff!
Everything from start to finish was perfect. The servers and bartenders worked so hard to make sure everything was taken care of. Would recommend to anyone planning a wedding!

Well from the start there was a lot of staff change. But everything worked out great. The accommodations they did for my wife and her girls were excellent it made my wife’s day easier on getting ready. The food was great! Thanks to chef. He also came out and checked to see if everything was up to par. Rooms were a tad small but time the reception is over it doesn’t matter anyways. Great food, staff good accommodations great, venue great, dj awesome!! all and all happy wife happy life!!
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. there was some staff change over during the planning process and they always did their best to make it as easy as possible on us. the food was amazing, the DJ was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this for a venue for a wedding or reception or both like we did. the all inclusive package made far less planning on our part.
We had a very tough time planning our wedding in the beginning but after going to The Holiday Inn to go over details we felt a lot better. The day of went pretty smooth as well and it ended up being the most perfect day of my life so far.
They were great to work. They responded within one day to any questions that we had, even on the weekends. Very affordable place, but was still a really nice venue. We did the entire wedding (ceremony, reception, dress, cake, etc.) for less than it would cost us to rent the venue at some other locations. Having discounted room rates for guests that traveled made it easier for long distance family to come at a more affordable rate as well.
We had an incredible experience having our wedding reception at the Holiday Inn South County. Kristin and the team were communicative and flexible and did all they could to make the day run seamlessly. The food was delicious and all of the guests had a great time. The bridal party had the added luxury of getting ready on site in the bridal suite which helped make everything stress free. Kristin even helped coordinate getting us a different hotel room for the night before the wedding so we could have two nights in the same room. I would highly recommend this location for any event.
The perfect place to have a reception for 275 guests. They were very willing to accomodate us. Kristen is amazing and was so patient and calm no matter how many times I changed the number of guests or the layout of the room. It also was extremely convenient to have access to the bridal salon all day. That's where we all got ready, and we were able to keep all of belongings in there until we came back for the reception. Not to mention they had a private bathroom for the bride and the bridal party. It was very nice to have that space to hide away as we were waiting to make our grand entrance as well. All of the staff were so delightful to work with and really treated you special. They didn't nickel and dime you if you borrowed extra tables or other items which is huge deal. They made planning very manageable and enjoyable.
Thanks to Casey, April and your entire staff during our Son and Daughter In Law's wedding in July of last year. You helped make this a very special event enjoyed by all of the bridal party and guests. From handing out the guest bags to ensuring all of the rooms were in great shape and attending to some last minute details, your team did a fantastic job. The food was great and the entire event was one we are very proud of. We highly recommend having events at the Holiday Inn South County.
We had our wedding reception here and it was the perfect venue for what we wanted! I can't say enough about how wonderful Casey and April were to work with to get everything set up how we wanted!

Our wedding reception was PERFECT! The Grand Ballroom is spacious and beautiful, with great lighting. The food was delicious, and Chef Harry is the best! Casey had all of the night's plans written for the staff with precision, and the staff followed them perfectly! April originally booked our night, and saw everything through to the day. Thank you all for making our day very special!
We loved our reception venue! Everything was amazing! The staff, the food, the drinks and everything our wedding coordinator, Casey, did to make our day perfect! The best part was everyone could go upstairs to their room and not worry about driving! We also had our rehearsal dinner there and I an telling you the staff is phenomenal!
The staff at Holiday Inn was great for my entire wedding planning experience. Casey, the Event Services Coordinator was so kind and quickly responded to all my emails and phone calls. Doug was also very pleasant and easy to work with on the day of our wedding, he made sure all our needs were met. All the servers and bartenders were very pleasant as well. The bridal salon was the perfect place to have all my bridesmaids get together for hair and makeup. The reception went great and my guests enjoyed the food.
We couldn't have been happier with our choice to book with Holiday Inn for our wedding reception!! The staff was professional and worked hard to ensure we were heard and represented on this big day of ours from day one of planning. The day after the wedding they still were there to help with anything we needed. Many of our guests enjoyed the ability to stay at the hotel following the reception. Would highly recommend this venue to any future brides!

Beyond amazing! I highly recommend having your wedding reception at Holiday Inn SoCo! April and Alicia took amazing care of us from decorating, to room blocks, to special BBQ sauce... the list goes on and on! Plus, the food is fantastic! And, I am a very critical wedding guest when it comes to reception food- I hate the typical bland pasta and chicken. The food at our wedding resulted in endless comments and praise for days!

Everything about our wedding was wonderful - except for the choice of this hotel. The decor is dated and the service in the restaurant was very slow. Wallpaper was coming off the wall in one of our relative's room. On the night before our wedding, some of our guests were enjoying themselves in the bar. The bar was packed with people. Abruptly, at about midnight, the bartender said there was a personal emergency and told everyone they had to leave.
Overall, a bad experience. I do not recommend this hotel.
Casey, and the rest of the team at Holiday Inn - Thank you for everything you did during the year or so of our wedding planning. I couldn’t help but feel we that at times I was inundating you with e-mails and phone-calls, particularly as the big day approached, but you always took the time to help us emerge from moments of panic feeling calm, focused and reassured. You went above and beyond to make sure our day went flawless. We received so many compliments on how nice and helpful all of the staff was. The chef's mashed potatoes are TO DIE FOR!!!! The ambiance of the room was perfect.
Ultimately, the greatest compliment we can offer is that you have provided us with the greatest day of our lives. It exceeded all our expectations, and quite simply was perfect.

The Holiday Inn Soco was the perfect venue for my reception!! The space, lighting and the personal touches in the room were amazing! All the staff members were so friendly and awesome to work with! April made the booking for the reception smooth and very accommodating. The chef, Harry personally came and brought us our food, which was delicious!! Alicia was so helpful with booking rooms for my guests and making sure the food and beverage aspect was exactly what I wanted! And lastly a big thanks to Casey who made sure everything was perfect for my big day and was very flexible to meet up with to go over every little detail. The different packages that they offer are a great fit for any type of wedding you're looking for! I highly recommend this venue!!! Thanks again!!

We had our daughters reception here. The staff was great from the sales team to the servers. John and George were our Bartenders and Servers....they were both great. Doug the banquet manager was on top of everything and made sure everything went smoothly. Chef Harry is awesome, great food and great to talk with.

We had the Grand Ballroom for our wedding reception and it was absolutely perfect!!!! Everyone at the Holiday Inn, from the sales staff to the chef, were the nicest people to work with!!! I wanted to save money and did not hire a wedding planner and I felt so comfortable with that decision. The girls were so fast with responding to ALL my emails and questions I had. It truly was a dream come true night/event!!!
We had a great experience when we chose to have our reception at the Holiday Inn South County Center. The staff did an excellent job ensuring the evening ran smoothly. After our event we received numerous compliments about the food, open bar, and overall atmosphere. Thank you so much for helping add to our special day, it is one we will always remember!

Choosing Holiday Inn is a choice I would pick over and over again! They were so helpful. They made sure everything was taken care of and how I wanted it! Everything turned out amazing! It's been 5 months and I'm still getting compliments! The food was wonderful as well!
We absolutely loved the venue and Casey and April were very helpful throughout the entire process. We were provided a bridal room that was perfect for our hair and makeup in the morning. We then used it at night when we got off the bus for all the bridal parties' items.
The DJ came as a package deal along with a full bar. The only complaint we heard from guests was that the bar tenders were a bit rude and they ran out of water so we're giving some guests straight vodka.
Overall the music was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating and we would love to attend another wedding here.

My daughter had her reception here Oct, 2016. Everything was just as expected. The facility was clean and beautiful. We began working with Kamber, then with April when she took over. This transition was very smooth. They were both readily available, or promptly returned calls/emails. If they didn't have an answer for me, they found one and got back with me quickly. The food was excellent. It was very helpful to have had the "tasting" luncheon served by the chef himself so we could choose the items we wanted. The desk staff was very helpful and courteous at all times. If I could have changed anything, it would be to have them continue to serve water for the guests in the hour after the bar closed. April promised to address this :)
My husband and I had our ceremony and reception here and absolutely loved it. We were married in the Schober's Ballroom. We didn't have an aisle runner or arbor, but it was still absolutely beautiful. The hotel covers the chairs in white which really dresses the room up. We added bows to the chairs to give it a special touch. Audio equipment worked perfectly. Our reception was in the Grand Ballroom and I cannot explain how beautiful it truly is, especially set up. It was so nice to have the DJ included as well as a complimentary hotel room that night (depending on the package you choose). The food was fantastic, and I'm still getting compliments on that 3 weeks later. Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I truly did not worry about a thing throughout the entire process. Kamber and April were absolutely wonderful and never hesitated to answer any of my 5,000 questions. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. All of it was within budget and absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this location for a ceremony and reception.
My husband & I booked our wedding block at the Holiday Inn South County Center, knowing that it was going to be a busy weekend. The hotel had multiple other wedding blocks as well as some large groups the weekend of our weeding but we wouldn't have know by how accomodating they were. I also, booked the bridal suite to get ready for my wedding the morning of and it is such a great feature that I haven't seen in any other hotel. To have a comfortable location for the bridal party to get ready and not just be crammed in a guest room is great! The hair stylists and photographer were very impressed too. From Alicia and Kamber to the f&b and front desk team everyone at the hotel made us feel welcomed and our big day special.
With half of our guests coming in from out of town, we were looking for a one stop venue to hold our wedding and reception. We could not have been happier with the service we received from the Holiday Inn South County Center!
Kamber and April made everything extremely easy and they were there to help every step of the way. Whenever I had any questions, they were quick to email back. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. They even helped with some of our deliveries from our vendors and that was an unexpected and appreciated surprise.
The food was amazing and the space was beautiful. Our friends and family had a blast!!

My now husband and I absolutely loved having our reception at the Holiday Inn South County! Working with Kamber and April to plan everything was an absolute treat. They were both so helpful and answered all of my emails/questions very quickly. Our guest loved the food and our DJ, Nate Smith, which was included in our package. The girls and I also had access to the bridal suite and it was the PERFECT room to get ready in the morning of. The drinks were strong and our guest had an absolute blast! We could not be any happier with how the evening went. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The Holiday Inn was a FANTASTIC venue for my bridesmaids and my wedding team to get ready for the day of my wedding by using their awesome private bridal salon!!! The whole staff was amazing to us from the sales team, to the bartender the night before, and the banquet team the day of. We used the Holiday Inn South County Center for a room block for our out of town guests. I worked with Alicia from sales and she was awesome! She was always available to answer any questions and followed-up with me to make sure everything was satisfactory. Awesome!

I had a block of rooms for my wedding at this hotel and all I can say is, wow! Everything was fantastic. The sleeping rooms were spacious and clean, and the restaurant was great! PERFECT WEDDING RECEPTION VENUE! The staff, food & atmosphere were all great. I got so many compliments from my guests about how great the food tasted. Kamber & April were such a big help with everything. I would have to say my favorite thing about this hotel is the bridal get-ready room!! So convenient and I was able to get ready with all 7 of my bridesmaids that morning. I could not say enough great things about this venue. Thank you Holiday Inn!!
I cannot recommend the SOCO Holiday Inn enough! Camber, Cody & April are the best Event coordinators ever! I've had 2 wedding receptions here and the staff thinks of every detail. They also gave us some liberties as well as assisted with the decoration assembly and brought in ideas we could manage. The management and staff are 100% customer oriented and it's their exceptional attitudes and grace that make this event department stand out!
I seriously can't even begin to explain how much April and Kamber at the Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations now only on the day of my wedding but all the days leading up to it. They never felt annoyed when I would email them at odd hours and they always responded promptly. Any questions I had were answered and I could tell that my happiness was their number 1 priority. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better and more perfectly ran day. Thank you to everyone at the Holiday Inn for making me feel so special on Saturday.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Holiday Inn South County Center, and could not have asked for a better venue. Chef Harry is absolutely amazing, along with Kamber the wedding coordinator. The staff along with the bartenders were amazing as well. We loved the fact we could continue our after party in the lobby bar. Our guest were very please with the food that chef had prepared for us and everyone is still talking about how nice the night was. Holiday Inn South County hosted our July 2016 wedding and made sure our day was perfect! I couldn't be happier with the service of each of the staff members. The front desk made check in a breeze for all of our many out of town guests, the chef, Harry was AMAZING. Our guests are still raving about the food. Kamber and April held my hand during the entire process and made me feel very confident after a horrible experience with our original location. Cory was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed during our rehearsal and actual event date. The wait staff during the reception exceeded every exception I had and treated my guests like royalty. If you are on the fence about this location, take my advice and book! They will go above and beyond to make your event perfect for you. Even if there are small hiccups, they are handled as quickly as possible. Great job Holiday Inn South County! You all are amazing!!
The Holiday Inn South County was such a great place for our wedding reception! We got married last month, and I have to thank everyone at the Holiday Inn SC for making the evening run smoothly and so much fun! First, the catering sales manager, Kamber, was SO helpful! She was very kind, understanding, and quick to respond to any and all of our questions. What a pleasure working with her! Second, the rest of the staff was very kind and helpful as well. One staff member carried my plate of food for me from the buffet to my seat, making it easier for me to walk around in my dress and shoes and not worry about dropping my food. She even boxed up some of the food for my husband and I so that we could eat it later in the evening (we were so busy and excited that it was hard to eat)! Third, the food was delicious! Chef Harry was so friendly during our tasting and eager to please us. We were very pleased! Fourth, we loved that we could store our decorations in the bridal suite and set up the night before the wedding. My dad was even able to test the slideshow/movie he made to ensure it would play correctly. Fifth, it was so cool that we could hang out at the lobby bar after our reception ended. We had a fair amount of family and friends stay late enjoying the bar and company. Finally, it was super helpful that the reception package came with the DJ (Rockstar DJs)... the DJ was awesome and the owner of the company was so friendly and responsive to any questions we had. I appreciated not having to book a DJ on my own, especially because I loved Rockstar! I would recommend the Holiday Inn South County to anyone! Great service, great people, great fun!
I can not say enough good things about the Holiday Inn-South County Center, and especially the event coordinator, Kamber! Everyone was so helpful and truly cared about making our day a special one! Kamber was great, kept in touch even while planning her own wedding a month before ours, and always responded promptly to my questions. And the food!! So so good. Everything was perfect and went so smoothly on our big day thanks to the wonderful staff. I'd recommend the Holiday Inn to any and everyone getting married!
We absolutely loved everything about our wedding at the Holiday Inn South County Center. From the very beginning we received very detailed helpful information on prices and different packages. Throughout the whole process we were helped by catering sales manager Kamber Seay. She was incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. She answered all my emails and phone calls in a timely manner, which helped keep my stress levels low.
Besides the helpful staff, the Holiday Inn South County Center also has a beautiful modern theme throughout. The decorations, furniture and and carpets were more young and "hip" then most other hotels. There is an awesome bar and bistro area, which accommodated us by staying open late after our reception ended.
We had our ceremony in the smaller ballroom, which easily sat 100 people. The staff set up all the chairs and put together the arbor we married under. Our reception was held in the larger ballroom and comfortably held our party of about 150 people. This ballroom was perfect for our reception, and looked great with our country chic mason jar theme. They just recently ordered new tables and chairs that are more modern and don't need table clothes or chair covers, which was a huge deal for me. Love love loved the table and chairs! We chose a buffet style dinner, which was served outside in the spacious hallway of the ballroom. The food was excellent, I received many compliments from guest.
One of the greatest things for me, that definitely helped with my wedding stress, was that we were able to bring in all of our decorations and supplies a few days before the wedding. Everything was stored in the bridal salon room until the morning of the wedding. The day of the wedding we were allowed to come as early as we needed and get ready in the bridal salon room. This was a huge plus for us because it allowed us all to get ready in a central location.
Overall, we were extremely happy with how our wedding turned out. We loved the modern vibe of the hotel, the friendly and helpful staff, the spacious rooms, the delicious food and the affordable packages they offer. We would definitely recommend this venue for any couple!

My husband and I had our reception at this venue on 9/04/15 in the grand ballroom. The package deal they offered was phenominal and we were able to do so much more with our money. I would reccomend this venue to anyone on a budget. Kamber was amazing to work with from day one and with us every step of the way. Corey was a very gracious host when our day finally arrived. The venue staff was amazing. We LOVED our waitress at our head table. We were very impressed with her hospitality. We feel awful that we can't remember her name but would love to give her a shout out. The reception was wonderful in every way.
My room block was with the Holiday Inn in South County. They provided a shuttle to take my guest to the wedding and back to the rooms from Orlando Gardens. The hotel was quiet and very clean. The only thing was that the shower was leaking and they offered to move us out of the room immediately. I would definitely recommend them.
The beginning of planning our reception was a little rocky because the previous wedding planner was not on top of things. However, as soon as Kamber took over it was a breeze. She is great at responding in a timely manner and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted. I highly recommend going to the Holiday Inn South County Center for your reception, you won't regret it!
The Holiday Inn South county was Awesome!! The Grand Ballroom was breathtaking! I was worried I wouldn't get back from the wedding Ceremony in enough time to decorate for the reception, but when we arrived it was already decorated! Even the name/place cards were in neat rows and alphabetized! Everybody had a wonderful time. People today still tell me how much fun they had and how beautiful it was. Thanks Kamber & Tyler!
My husband and I, and our daughter and son-in-law were very pleased with everything from our first meeting with the event coordinator up until the the morning after the wedding. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious and every single staff member was always pleasant and helpful. Nancy R
