imer. I contacted many and the big ones made me feel like I was just another dollar in their wallet and some of the independent djs seemed a little inexperienced. We didn’t have a budget but I also didn’t want to feel taken advantage of. Then, I came across Moore Music.
I emailed Pam, the owner, expecting the same result as the others- oh.. no budget max, let’s do all the works etc. She responded quickly with a kind and friendly approach and I was immediately impressed. She set up a consultation for my now husband and I and it exceeded our expectations. She spent two hours going over every detail of what our day could look like and made me feel excited yet comfortable. But enough about the before… let’s get to how she actually did at the wedding because honestly that’s what actually matters.
SHE KILLED IT! She decorated her booth to fit our vibe, she was dressed to the nine, and delivered all night perfection over and over again. She even got out on the dance floor and taught us all some moves! My guests loved her and I am still getting texts about how fun and awesome our music and DJ were. Pam is kind, patient, communicative, and honest- and I couldn’t have asked for more.
Pam and hope, her assistant, went above and beyond for my husband and I - had breath mints on hand, read the crowd, gave my parents cds of our meaningful songs, and listen and delivered everything we asked her. I would recommend her. 1000x over again.

With that being said, if you are at all lost in the world of wedding planning, Pam is your person! She helped us ordain my cousin, gave us a ceremony template, and walked us through every step of our marriage license. Her small touches were VERY thoughtful. My grandparents loved her special dedication to their marriage. One concern was that some of our songs on the "play" list were not played. However, I was able to talk to and make changes throughout the wedding day – adjusting the genres and selections. Overall, our day went smoothly with her seamless scheduling. tions. She met again with my mom the next morning to answer some of her questions. She suggested having a memory song played a the reception for my grandma whom I had just lost the past year. This was all in Jan 2020 before the coronavirus lockdown and everything began. We had a short five months engagement and we had to cancel our June wedding for the virus situation. But Pam also suggested ideas for having a smaller wedding with fewer guests at this time until we have the bigger reception later. She always calls and checks up on you. She gave us a free dance lesson to practice for the wedding, also a pass for a free cake on our one year anniversary. She provides good song lists. Pam has many years of experience. She was also very affordable. She works with many great other DJs who are great as well. I am excited she can do my wedding and reception on the big day that's coming up later!! ast minute changes with our music list and she was super accommodating and wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us! She also checks in multiple times throughout to see if she can help couples in anyway possible and make sure everything is going smoothly with the planning process. When it comes to the music, she will find the perfect song for any moment and make sure she has every song well in advance that you want played at your special event. Pam is very detail oriented and will run everything by you first! She is super funny, sweet, and talented at what she does. She knows how to read the crowd and will have your guests dancing the entire time. She makes it a priority to communicate with the other vendors involved to make sure everyone is on the same page. She also is great at interacting with the guests and incorporating the songs they want to hear as well. At the end of your event you get a CD with all of your key songs! By the time we got around to being ready to book her, Pam was also scheduled for another event so we had one of her associate DJs for our wedding, however, Pam was still VERY involved with our wedding as she helped us create and document the timeline for the day's events. I was happy with the overall service provided on our wedding day, albeit a few stumbles along the way which I have mentioned to Pam, which she said she will address.
I had the opportunity to attend another wedding where Pam was the DJ. I saw Pam running around lighting candles that another vendor should have done, she got a toasting glass for the MOH when she noticed the MOH didn't have one while giving her speech, and she got napkins and a cake plate for the cake cutting table. The attention to detail by Pam was impressive!
If you book Moore Music, I would suggest booking Pam specifically if you can. You can tell she's done enough weddings that she sees the little details that nobody else, but a bride, would see.

They not only provide 2 djs the day of your wedding, they are at the rehearsal, Pam provides a detailed itinerary/script for the timing of everything on your wedding day, she provides several ways to get discounts, free cds of the ceremony and reception music we chose and the jacket covers are even in the wedding colors, free makeup party, free ½ hour dance lesson and even pays for a cake on your 1st anniversary. Moore Music came recommended to us by our caterer, but they seemed pricey. After interviewing other DJs, some of which didn’t even have insurance (what?!), we decided to see if Pam could work with our budget… and she was more than accommodating! I wish we had spoken to her earlier. Moore Music isn’t just a music-playing company, they also help with day-of wedding coordination. Pam is extremely detail-oriented and frequently in contact. I found some things to be unnecessary, but I loved Pam’s dedication and enthusiasm. She truly cares about the quality of service her company offers.
Pam wasn’t able to personally DJ our wedding, but sent two others in her place (and they even brought lights!). Mike and Jenn kept the music going and the dance floor full! They were able to adjust the schedule of events accordingly when a few of the toasts went long. There were a few hiccups – like songs being played at the wrong time, announcements were a little off – but they were minor. We were more than happy to have Moore Music DJ our wedding!

to do and figure out. Pam was a HUGE help. She brought up things I would have never even thought about. I have only been to a few weddings in my life, so planning for one was difficult since I didn't really have much to compare it to.
I am also a type 1 diabetic. During stressful times I never know what my blood sugar is going to do despite my best efforts to control it. Pam was sweet enough to pack a granola bar for the dj to bring in case my blood sugar dropped at any point during the wedding.
It was her attention to detail that I really appreciated and her patience with me during the whole process.
She even made us a cd with all of our special songs on it that I enjoy listening to in the car as well as copies for the parents.
Mark was our dj that day and he was super sweet! He made sure that everyone was having a great time and that everything was running smoothly.

The only thing was our parents were each to walk into the reception to their own signature song. I learned later that there wasn't any music playing during the announcment of my parents, groom's parents or ring bearer/flower girl. I was surprised that they didn't mention what went wrong to me at the reception. However, it was seriously minor compared to how great the night went and the music was awesome! The DJ made every request the I made and took requests of our guests.
At the end, she gave us a certificate for our cake and several CDs of our reception music to share with friends and family.
Pam is a really nice woman, but my experience with her as my DJ was not top notch. Unfortunately for us, we ONLY wanted Pam as our reception DJ and that is not the role that she seems to like to be in.

However, we often felt with some of the comments that Pam made during our second meeting AND on the DAY OF that she was obviously irritated we did not have her do the music for the ceremony (we had decided to have our friends do live music), and that we did not have her run the wedding.
Also, during the second meeting my husband had said "you know, some of the songs we chose are not well known songs, do you want me to send them over to you?" Pam said "No, I'm a DJ, that"s what I do".. and yet, during the reception the song we wanted played in memory of our grandparents and great grandparents was not the correct version and neither was the song we dedicated to our own parents. This was very disappointing.
Overall, I think I would recommend Moore music to someone who needs a wedding coordinator and a DJ to do both ceremony and reception. I would not recommend Moore Music to someone who is looking for just a DJ.
