We hired Michele as our wedding planner and she was nothing short of FABULOUS! Her time management and organizational skills are phenomenal. Her team is extremely professional and friendly. Michele helped to book our caterer, venue, floral event designer, hair and makeup artist, bakery for our cake, rehearsal dinner, wedding day hotel room, day of transportation and all the little details. We had a slightly complicated wedding with the ceremony 30 minutes away from the reception and the ceremony starting 4 hours before the reception start time and two outfit changes -- one for the groom prior to the reception and one for me during the reception. Luckily, Michele made sure we had good transportation and even arranged to have a long photo session during the break time. We were even able to have our own private dinner during the cocktail hour, in which she provided us toothpaste and toothbrushes to then go back out and socialize with minty fresh breath. She is SO THOUGHTFUL. Her team even took our personal items that we wanted to display (engagement photos, memorial table items, handmade items ordered from Etsy) and put them on display for us at our wedding. Every month she sent us a list of things upcoming and to-do. She coordinated all meeting times with the vendors which eliminated us having to do hours of research for different vendors and eliminated the massive emails one would get trying to plan a wedding without a planner. She'll make sure all save the dates, invitations and RSVPs are on-time to make it a completely stress free day for you. We absolutely loved that she took a personal interest in us as a couple and even made sure all vendors were on the same page with what we wanted for our wedding day. All the little details people tend to forget for weddings are covered by Michele. She even set up a full day final walkthrough a few weeks prior to the wedding day to ensure every vendor was on the same page and timeline. Her top-notch skills made our day absolutely perfect. With all of her preparation we literally did not have to do or think about one thing on our wedding day except ENJOY THE DAY! She is a definite must-have for your wedding day to ensure you have no worries!
5 stars could never be sufficient for the incredible job Michelle and her team did on my wedding day. Even more than that, they were there every step of the way. Michelle kept me on track with planning, was always available when I had questions or needer her, and was always incredibly professional, warm and friendly. I always looked forward to seeing her or hearing from her! She really treats her bride and groom as if they were family. Michelle was thorough in every detail - nothing could escape her diligence! I already thought she was incredible planning the wedding, but her and her team absolutely blew me away the day of my wedding. She handled everything that came up so I could have NO WORRIES. Seriously, I worried about absolutely nothing on my wedding day and I was able to completely enjoy the day because I knew Michelle and her team were handling everything perfectly and professionally. Even several of my guests commented on how smoothly the wedding ran and how professional the MorLina team was. I could not recommend them enough. Thank you, MorLina! You made a happy day even more perfect than I could have ever dreamed!
Words cannot expressed the amount of gratitude I owe Michele and her team. A month later and I still have friends and family complimenting my husband and I...telling us this was the best wedding they ever attended. I owe this to Morlina Events. Michele kept me focus, on schedule, and made sure that I had everything I needed. I truly fell in love with Michele and her team. She is an exceptional person and her team are the sweetest people I have ever worked with. I cannot imagine what my day would have been without Michele. I am so happy and pleased. Our wedding was PERFECT. I couldn’t be more happy. I wouldn’t change anything about my wedding. It was everything a girl could ever dream of...and Morlina Events definitely executed my every wish. Thank you . I will cherish this day forever.
We cannot say enough positive things about Michele at Morlina Events. She has excellent attention to detail and a want to have you as the bride have no worries. no matter what we threw at michele she always had a way to make it happen. She ensures that you are informed and represents you with your vendors. The most impressive of all it the day of your event. There really aren't the right words for me to describe how amazingly wonderful Michele and her entire team at MorLina Events were to work with in planning our wedding. We met with 2 wedding planners before finding Michele. From the moment my mother and I stepped foot into her adorably decorated offices in Chesapeake- I just knew she was the right fit for us. Her kindness, professionalism, and astute attention to detail from the get go really put me at ease while planning my wedding in VA, from NC. Through multiple meetings, vendor selections, planning sessions, mind changes, freak out moments...up through the Hurricane that graced the east coast and nearly flooded our reception hall as we walked down the aisle...all of it was handled with patience, determination and pleasant smile by Michele AND her team. Yes, you have a team available to you when you book with MorLina!!! If you want an event that will run smoothly like clockwork, allowing you to truly enjoy your wedding day without stressing or worrying- Michele and the MorLina ladies are the right pick. Amazing is the only word to describe Michele and her team. From the moment we met, Michele has been spectacular at helping my fiancé and I prepare for our special day. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable and went better than we could've ever imagined, all thanks to MorLina events. I recommend Michele and her team to everyone-- she was the best wedding decision I made, by far.
I had the pleasure of having Michele help me plan my May 9th wedding, and Michele and her Morlina Events team are absolutely amazing!!! I really cannot put into words the appreciation my parents, in-laws, husband and I have for their hard work and professionalism.
She sent my mom and me monthly to-do lists that helped us focus on and finalize the important pieces each month. Michele also helped us get the best vendors! Her motto of “no worries” could not be more true, and she always makes sure you are ahead of the game so that as you get close to the wedding you can just enjoy it all. I travel Monday-Friday for my job and I have no idea what I would have done without her dedication. Michele honestly makes you feel like you are her only client and also like family!
Our wedding day was flawless! I didn’t have to worry about making sure this and that were done because Michele was always one step ahead of us and our wedding party. If you have ever seen the movie the wedding planner…. That is Michele and her team! Organized, punctual and extremely friendly! All the vendors knew when and where to be. I actually got to eat, drink and enjoy myself at my wedding.
My bridal party and close friends and family could not stop telling me how awesome Michele is and how lucky I was to have her helping me!
I highly recommend hiring Morlina events, worth every penny!
NOTE: I did NOT hire MorLina events - I attended a wedding they planned. I am an event planner in Washington, D.C. & formerly in Virginia Beach so I know that at times I can be critical of how other planners work. I have often planned weddings of 200 guests with an average budget of $175K-$2K. I only say that to qualify that I do the job I am critiquing in a high end luxury market.
I feel very strongly that the role of the wedding/event planner is to be in the background helping things stay timely, helping to be sure the wedding couple, bridal party & families are well attended to, and to ensure the other vendors for the day are following through on their contracts.
From the moment we arrived at the church, I noticed too many "planners". There were 2 girls in all black, up and down the aisles, with ear pieces like secret service agents and clipboards full of papers they continuously shuffled through. Upon entering the reception venue, the same thing - only now there are 5 girls running all over, looking hectic, pointing fingers... on 3 different occasions either myself or my partner were at the bar and ordered to sit down and told we weren't allowed to get drinks. They were incredibly rude about doing something that wasn't event their job to do - the bartender or venue manager can tell me the bar is closed because they are the ones who've been paid to do that.
Another time, the lead planner came up to the FOB (who is a very good friend of our family but as they don't know I'm writing this review I won't provide more details b/c this is my personal opinion from observing the event) while he was having a conversation with my father and another friend and told him his dinner was served and that he HAD to go eat. She didn't mention the meal was available to him, she ordered him. I was horrified that she interrupted a conversation between the man who financed the entire event.
As I guest - I was not impressed by this planner or her team.
Michele did an awesome job with keeping me organized for the wedding! She sent monthly emails reminding me of all the things that needed to be taken care of and she set up meeting with all potential vendors. She took care of any issues that we had with vendors during the entire planning period. She was amazing day of the wedding, making everything run smoothly! She took care of all the issues that happened day of and I didn't even hear of them.
I was very unsure about hiring a wedding planner, I was trying to go as cheap as I could. This was one of the best decisions I made. They live by their motto of no worries, and the day of I had none. Everything ran so smoothly and I had so many compliments on how well everything went. Michele, Lisa, and the rest of their team help you every step of the way and treat you like a friend more than a client! Hiring their team is the best decision you can make well worth the price they charge. Also, they work with some of the best vendors in the area for discounted rates.
I cannot go on to tell you how much Michele helped with my wedding and really lived up to her motto of "no worries." She is so sweet, kind, friendly, helpful, organized, professional, and the list goes on and on. I wasn't planning on having a wedding planner at first but she was recommended by another vendor so I agreed to meet with her. This was the best decision I could have made and I am so grateful for all the work she did. She went above and beyond and you can really see that she loves what she does! I would recommend her to anyone that wants to meet a beautiful person inside and out and their wedding to go smoothly and without any problems!
