I highly recommend working with this company! I found myself coordinating my daughter's wedding for 165 people and without the assistance of Tracie @ Morris Tent Rentals, I probably would have had a pre-wedding melt-down. They have EVERYTHING you could need. Tracie was amazingly helpful in every way - there was no question/concern she could not handle. The company is flexible, accommodating and a wealth of knowledge. We rented chairs from Morris Tents for our wedding in September. They were outstanding to deal with throughout the process, through answering inventory questions, booking, payment, delivery, pick up, etc. and rentals were excellent quality, exactly what we wanted. I saw another review mention high prices, but I inquired with a number of vendors and for the chairs we rented I found them to have the nicest chair for what we were looking for at the lowest cost (and no minimum, THANK YOU!) I highly recommend!

The man who runs the company called me a week before my wedding and informed me that they are cancelling the dance floor that I was contractually obligated to receive. I ask him if he can find me another dance floor from a local company, or if one of his receptionists could at least try to do this for me. He informs me that it is “not his problem” and hangs up on me. This is who you’re dealing with here. 😂

I highly recommend Morris Tent Rentals - they did a great job with our September wedding in Cooperstown. We were pleased with chairs, tables (both banquet/hightop), tent, dance floor, and linens. Working with Morris (Rachael in particular) was great from the very beginning. They took the time to go through all of our options and draw up several diagrams of what the layout of the tent would look like. Customer service was outstanding and responses to our calls and emails were always prompt. The only issue we had was that many of our items were not shipped with our original shipment. It seemed like when they got our order together, they were using an old order sheet that we had filled out rather than the most recent one that had everything included. However, upon reaching out to Rachael to let her know we had some items missing, she made sure we got them as soon as possible. As mentioned, Morris' customer service is outstanding and definitely makes up for any mistakes. Our tent was beautiful, but just know that some of the tables and chairs are in rough shape, so having tablecloths and chair covers is something you may want to consider.

We had a great experience with Morris Rentals! We rented our tent, chairs, tables, silverware, and linens from them and everything was great! Tracie helped us with the coordination and planning--she was so helpful and knowledgeable; she made the whole process really easy! Would definitely recommend them for any event!

Good quality products. Rachel was very helpful and gave me everything I expected. Even with the distance fee, they were cheaper than other vendors I quoted.
We used a 40x100 tent as well as a 30 x 30 tent, interior bistro lighting, 26 tables, 252 chairs and a 20 x 20 dance floor.

Morris was great in the planning phase and we negotiated a good price for our tent, but not so awesome when it came to the wedding week. They had agreed to set up the tent on Wednesday morning. I called several times and each time they said they'd be here "in a few hours". So I waited around for them all day. They never showed. Huge waste of my time- there were lots of other things I could have been doing if I knew they weren't coming. Thursday morning comes around and the setup guys finally show up. They say they have no idea why the office would have promised Wednesday and that they knew all along that they weren't making it here at any point Wednesday. So the whole "a few more hours" thing was a flat out lie. They set up the tent and did a nice job, but the dance floor was missing pieces. Someone comes Friday with more pieces but they are the wrong ones. Late Friday night the correct pieces finally show up. They just seemed so disorganized during their busy season. I can't say I'd go with them if I had to do it all over again.

Tracie at Morris Tent did everything she could to make our day a success. I highly suggest her for anyone looking to do a tent wedding in the area. Morris Tent had our tent up and looking great and even provided a dance floor for us at the last minute. Thank you Morris Tent!

Fine for rentals. I hired their coordinator for day of coordination and she was TERRIBLE. Completely incompetent and had no idea what was going on. She kept interrupting the reception to tell me my guests were cold and again to pay a vendor. The whole point of getting a coordinator is so the bride and groom don't have to worry about that stuff! She was so unprepared and MIA for most of the day before the wedding when she should've been getting prepared. Stay away for coordination.

I always love working with the folks at Morris Tent. They took care of our tents to linens, and everything in between. They're easy to work when planning, and the guys who set-up are great. I got a ton of compliments on everything at my wedding! Thank you for helping to make it a great day!

The WORST vendor I have EVER worked with!!! Do NOT use them! I was in contact with Morris Tent Rentals in January 2015 my wedding date was 9/6/2015. At first they seemed to be fine to work with. As I approached closer to my date, which is the Sunday before Labor Day they all the sudden told me that since my wedding date was on a Holiday weekend there was going to be an extra labor cost to deliver and set up my tents and chairs for the ceremony and reception. This is completely unprofessional and should be something you address THE DAY I asked for a quote in January and before I deposited money with your company. I refused to pay the full amount for the holiday weekend costs, so the resolution was for me to pay 1/3 of the extra cost. Now we are 2 weeks from my wedding date and I emailed TWO employees and the Morris Tent Rental Email to get my final invoice FOUR times. I keep getting no answer, so I called. By this time it's 8/28 and my wedding date is 9/6. I finally get a quote. Then the employee who I will not name asks me "How do you want your chairs set up for the ceremony?" I replied back to her ROWS of FOUR. I get to the venue an hour before the ceremony and the chairs are in rows of three. (WHO SITS IN ROWS OF THREE...EVER?) The groomsmen and our families had to go out in the 88 degree weather in gowns and dresses and adjust ALL of the chairs. This is a service I PAID a lot for. I paid for the individual chair set up fee, the labor fees, and the ZONE delivery charges - yet they can't get one thing right. I called the office today because no one answered my complaint. I didn't ask for a refund, but if you really cared about the reputation of your company -- 1. You should start by apologizing for your mistakes 2. May be find some sort of resolution for messing up something so simple. No bride should have to worry this much about TENTS AND CHAIRS. It's absurd and it's also not something anyone should have to deal with on the day of.

ess for you to have to deal with in the weeks leading up to your wedding. We take great pride in providing the most quality and accommodating customer service. So, for you to have had this experience is very unsettling. Unfortunately the manager that could of addressed your concerns properly was unaware of the situation taking place. When the manager was finally informed of the indecent it was too late to repair the damage. However, there was a meeting with the owner and Event Coordination Team to discuss what had gone wrong and how to prevent something like this happening in the future. Again, my sincerest apologies for your experience.

We used Morris for our wedding in late June. While they were mostly fine leading up to the date, we had major problems the day of. Our reception was entirely outdoors and ran on generator power. When we went to the venue the day before, the generator was already running, so we asked if we should get a backup to ensure we wouldn’t run out of power. Our wedding planner, who was great, called Morris’ owner, who said we had enough power to last through the reception to the following afternoon. Well, that wasn’t the case. About 15 minutes after the band came on at 10:00, the generator ran out of fuel and the power went out. By the band’s resourcefulness, they were able to string about 30 extension cords together and plug into an outlet in the house on the side to get their instruments back, but no power in the tent. This took around 45 minutes, and we agreed to pay the band an extra $500 to stay longer and play their full setlist. That was the biggest problem. Another problem was the cooling truck they gave us for the kegs had faulty taps and CO2, so we lost two kegs and our guests couldn’t drink beer throughout the reception.
All told, we paid $13,000 to Morris, and we asked for $1305 back, which covered the beer lost, the faulty taps, the cost of renting the generator and the $500 we had to pay the band. That proposal was not only shot down by the owner, but it was countered with $305, just the cost of the tap rental, lost beer and approx. 1/4 the cost of the generator. We countered back with $805 – the $305 plus the $500 additional we had to pay the band. Long story short, it took two months!!! Of literally calling every single day to their business manager and owner to reach a compromise of $550. By the time that happened, it wasn’t even about the money for us. It was knowing that if roles were reversed, and we had nearly ruined the wedding reception because of the equipment and advice we'd given them, we would have been so wrought with guilt that we'd have been on the phone with the couple the next day to try to rectify the situation and give them money back. Not only did that not happen, but the owner and business manager stayed seemingly intentionally unreachable and indifferent to the situation for weeks upon weeks. Dozens of promised callbacks went unfulfilled. Absolutely no effort on their end went into resolving the situation. Our aggravation level went through the roof with the whole process. The fact that they were haggling over a couple hundred bucks and stalling weeks upon weeks rather than doing right by their customers was truly shameful.
If you don’t have a problem, you should be fine. We worked with two wedding planners who were both great. But, if you do have a problem, good luck with them, because the owner and business manager are non-communicative and lack the character you’d hope would come with running an honest upstate New York business.

I loved working with Morris Tents! They were very professional and responsive, and worked seamlessly with my caterer and other vendors to ensure a hassle-free reception. The owner of the company came on-site during tent set-up to ensure that the wedding went off without a hitch. I would recommend Morris Tents to anyone conducting an event - they are great to work with!

Morris tent rentals seemed great when we first received their quote. They were less money than other rental companies and we got quick responses to all of our questions. We had wanted a true sailcloth tent for our outdoor wedding and had even shown them pictures of some we liked. They told us that they had just started renting them and with their cost being lower than the others we went with them. When they came to put up the tent we discovered that it was a typical vinyl tent, not a sailcloth tent at all, with wooden poles. When we called to ask about it they told us "we never said it was a "sail cloth" tent it's our "sail tent". Very deceptive! The guys installed the lights incorrectly and never checked to see if they were working as I had asked. Many bulbs were out and we had to run around purchasing new bulbs and replacing them after the rehearsal dinner. The worst part is that they showed up one day early to pick up the tent (which was only 7 hours after the wedding had ended) and just dismantled it with all of our decorations and table settings still in place. We were also missing several items on the order. The damage waiver of $500 was not returned due to a knife and pilsner glass missing. I would not recommend using Morris for your event due to their deceptive business practices, poor communication, lack of product knowledge and slow response and follow-up.

My husband and I used Morris Tent for our outdoor October wedding. Penny and Stephanie were beyond helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed and making sure that we were happy with our choices. The setup crew did a great job and came when they said they would. All the products were perfect and made our day complete. We highly recommend them!

The only rentals we needed for our reception were linens (table cloths, chair covers and napkins). The staff were really easy to work with, easy to reach (prompt e-mail response) and very agreeable. To avoid a delivery charge, we drove to Morris and picked our linens up ourselves and had a family friend return them the Monday following our reception. They didn't have a problem with it.
The linens were just what our venue needed to really dress it up. Our color scheme was yellow/gray and they gave me lots of options to make things work. Ultimately, we ended up going with ivory table cloths (lap length for all the tables except the gift table/escort card table, and our sweetheart/cake tables) and ivory chair covers. We then got half and half of yellow and gray napkins and alternated tables. We went with lap length for everything else simply because it was more affordable.
We declined on chair tie backs because I thought they were too expensive. Instead, I went to a fabric shop and bought yards of tulle and cut out tie backs myself and they looked just as nice.
All in all, they are a great company to work with and they will take good care of you!
