My wife and I hired Mostly Becky to do planning and design for our wedding in Des Moines, Iowa. We both had recently moved to Des Moines from Chicago, so we had about 200 guests coming from out of town and wanted to ensure that we had a magical wedding for them to attend. Mostly Becky delivered. Mostly Becky's professional team met with us at every step in the process. My wife had a strong vision of what she wanted the wedding to be like, the vibes, and many of the specifics. They were able to make our dreams a reality. I cannot imagine a more professional, competent, and reassuring group to make the stress of wedding planning go as smoothly as possible. If you are looking to hire a wedding planner in Des Moines (or anywhere else that Mostly Becky operates), lock them down early.

My husband and I opted for the day-of coordinator package, and it ended up being perfect for us. Even though we were very organized, Amanda helped get us over the finish line the month before, and the day-of Amanda and Juliet really shined. Juliet also attended and ran our rehearsal, which was very nice since we had a friend as our officiant. Together, Amanda and Juliet really helped our day go smoothly. We only had a Maid of Honor and Best Man, so it was even more important to us to have help so they could enjoy the day. It was wonderful having the Mostly Becky team there to work with the vendors and do random things that I’m sure I don’t even know about (I’m told they moved the cutting cake table out of the way of some rambunctious children on the dance floor), to hold my bouquet and veil during photos, and to keep things moving on time. It really allowed myself and my husband to have a worry-free day and truly enjoy ourselves. At one point I heard our venue coordinator start to ask Amanda about an email chain, and I was able to walk away – I have no idea what it was about, and I didn’t need to. One thing I also want to shout out is Amanda’s help in the lead up – we were the first couple to have a plated dinner at The Prelude, and it came with some unexpected complications. Amanda helped coordinate with the caterers and the venue to figure out the logistics, and even though I was nervous going into the day I’m not aware of any large hiccups and I think that is partially due to Amanda and Juliet. They were also both just wonderful people to work with and I’m so glad we had our help on our big day!

Mostly Becky's team made our wedding day feel more like a party we got to attend rather than a party we had to manage! We were lucky to be paired with Amanda and Juliet for day-of-coordinating , and they were such an important part of our day. From coordinating with vendors ahead of time to Amanda literally letting me stand on her jacket to avoid getting my dress wet from the rain soaked pavement, we as a couple, family, and friends were all taken care of so well.

I can’t thank Amanda enough for everything she did for me prior to the wedding and on the day of. They make sure you are taken care of, no matter what it is you need they do it, they make sure you are drinking water, eating, and going to the bathroom because believe it or not you forget to do them. One thing I will forever be grateful for is how many pictures they took throughout the day, I didn’t even think to have anyone take pics and you have to wait weeks to get your professional pics back so to have all those was so amazing. They simply made sure the day was going smoothly and as planned, I didn’t have to worry about anything because I knew they had it under control. 100% recommend mostly Becky wedding and events!!

We had the joy of working with Amanda from the Mostly Becky Team and by the start of my wedding day I felt like we were best friends. She was prepared for all calls leading up to the wedding and would respond right away to emails. I would 1000% recommend hiring Mostly Becky for your wedding. Amanda literally ran across a hay field next to the venue to ask the farmer to stop while we had our ceremony. She calmed nervous and gave hugs. She was the best and everyone in our wedding party was impressed with her. Everyone knew who she was, she was the real boss! THANK YOU AMANDA!!

If you gave me an ultimatum... to re-do my wedding day without my husband or to re-do my wedding day without Kari... I would think long and hard before I Google "Iowa annullment." All jokes aside, I truly cannot imagine my wedding weekend without the help of Kari and her team. Throughout the planning process and the weekend itself, she had an answer to every question or request and that answer was more often than not "it's already taken care of." They were so responsive from the beginning, helping me choose the custom package that fit my needs from their unique ala-carte style packages (why pay for a full planning package with calligraphy if you don't need custom stationary!) and answering all of my silly questions along the way. Kari spent the time getting familiar with my vendors and my wedding plans and was such a resource for myself, my vendors, and my family/wedding party. She also got to know me and anticipated when I felt stressed about timing or anything else, always checking in to offer reassurance or a bottle of water, whatever I needed! She kept us on time throughout the busy day without being pushy, even corralling the groomsmen to be where they needed to be. I could go on and on about how priceless Mostly Becky's services are, but I will just say that they are worth their weight in gold and will make your wedding as smooth and seamless as possible! Thank you Becky and Kari!

The venue we worked with included wedding coordination services from Mostly Becky in their package. We had the pleasure of working with Amanda. From the moment we first spoke to her to even after the wedding when I had questions, she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She made the wedding day go SO smoothly and we could not have done it without her! 100 out of 10 recommend Amanda and the Mostly Becky Group!!

Working with Becky and our planner, Kari, made the wedding experience way less stressful! Becky was always available for our questions and Kari was so organized with our planning process. Their responses were prompt and they took care of us immediately, we always felt like a priority. Kari was extremely knowledgeable about everything, and day of the wedding she helped us immenesly by making sure everything went as planned and overall helping our stress level by keeping it to a minimum. We are so happy we chose Mostly Becky and so thankful for Kari!

We loved getting to work with Becky at one of our Florida weddings!! She was great to communicate with leading up to the day and was just as wonderful the day of. She kept everything running smoothly and was quick to answer any questions we had so photos and video could also run smoothly. She and her team are the full package and we'd highly recommend her!

If you are on the fence about whether to hire a wedding planner, DO IT!! I started planning my very small wedding back in December 2020. In January I reached out to Mostly Becky about helping me. I was still on the fence about needing a wedding planner and had some family members convince me that I didn’t need one and that we could handle everything ourselves…. Fast forward to July 2021 (3 months before my wedding) and I made the decision to reach out again in hopes that they were still available on my date. Thankfully they were (I got married on a Friday)! I hired Mostly Becky for a Day of Coordinator and it was hands down the best decision I could have made for my wedding. Kari was AMAZING! I had already booked some vendors and organized some things. Kari was able to step in with ease and assist me with finishing up the last few things I needed. The day of the wedding was a complete breeze and went even better than I could’ve imaged!! The best part was that my mom was able to enjoy her daughters wedding day and not have the stress of also trying to coordinate everything. At the end of the day, I would say the best thing you can do for your wedding is to hire Mostly Becky for a Day of Coordinator. I cannot thank them enough. Idk what my day would have been like without Kari. She was always there when I needed her and she was prepared for everything!!! Thank you so much!!!

We had our reception and Copper Creek Ridge in Riverside, IA and Mostly Becky's services were provided with our rental. I did not ever want to use a wedding coordinator, but Kari & her team did an amazing job! She exceeded all of our expectations. They made sure we did not have to worry about anything and were a huge part of making our wedding day so wonderful!

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to book a day of coordinator, and made a decision towards the end of my planning to do it and I am SO happy I did, and am grateful I had Becky & Kari alongside me. The ease of mind was PRICELESS…but also Becky really helped us out when we had a major problem pop up. Our trolley we arranged in Des Moines for my bridal party’s transportation told us 2 hours before the scheduled time they were to arrive that they couldn’t come. Then we find out too couldn’t find a replacement for us because the “everyone was booked.” 2 hours before we needed a plan and we were frantic trying to figure out what to do… and my ceremony was about to start in 20 minutes. Becky helped us so much and magically found us a bus on extremely short notice on a busy Saturday!! If I had to do it all over, I would pick Mostly Becky again and again. Her guidance and organization is a true gift.

Becky and her team were the absolute BEST! Becky answered my questions at all hours of the day and night and took away all the stress of wedding planning, so I could just enjoy the process! I even had people commenting on how relaxed I seemed in the weeks leading up to the wedding and I would tell them I am, thanks to Becky! Becky really listened to our ideas, thoughts and concerns, and made our vision come to life. Every detail was perfect. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we couldn’t have done it without Becky and her team.

I cannot put into words how AMAZING the Mostly Becky team is to work with! Kari was our lead coordinator and I felt like I had know her for years. She was always available for a text or call the weeks leading up to the day and kept me feeling reassured. Our rehearsal went perfectly, the wedding day was on schedule and FLAWLESS because of her. Kari was always checking in on me to get a pulse check and ensure there was nothing I needed and literally went as far as to carry my lipstick around in her pocket and bring it to me when she thought it should be reapplied. Kari was also a Rockstar during the dinner hour making sure all of the bridal party had drinks refilled and was happy. I had the honor of Becky being the second coordinator for the ceremony & reception and she was equally as awesome. Becky had the wonderful job of keeping the groomsmen in check (sorry Becky ;) ). I seriously have NO idea how we would have done it without them. Because of Kari and Becky, we were able to enjoy the day with minimal stress and be able to simply live in the moment. Even my groom admitted he thought it was silly to pay for coordinators but now thinks it was worth every dime. THANK YOU Kari and Becky!

I cannot say enough nice things about Becky! She is a consummate professional and she takes the time to see everything through from start to polished finish. I was a little worried about the cost of a wedding planner but Becky was worth every cent and so much more! Like most women, I had a very specific vision of what I wanted my wedding to be (and like most women my wedding has been planned in my head since I was five years old). Becky looked at my dream Pinterest boards and made it into a logistical reality. I didn’t have to worry about a thing with Becky, she consulted me on what I wanted and double checked with me before she made purchases on my behalf to make sure I was happy. It was exactly want I wanted, someone just telling me how much and where to sign. Honestly, if this was a fairytale, she would be the Fairy Godmother coming in to help with dozens of little mice. I appreciated her preferred vendors list, too. She said if she were having a wedding, the people on her list is who she would entrust her wedding with. Well what is good enough for the Fairy Godmother is good enough for me. You won’t be sorry if you book Becky as your wedding planner, in fact it may be your most important wedding purchase (other than the ring, of course)!

“Wedding Planner” truly does not even begin to entail all the Becky is and does!! She is truly amazing and every brides best friend!! I felt her genuineness from the moment I met her. Becky was amazing from the very beginning! Every spur of the moment idea of mine was made reality within minutes by Becky! She took my dreams and made them art for my wedding day, even more so than I had imagined. She was also an absolute pleasure to have on the day. She naturally commanded the attention of everyone when needed, but was a also a reassuring friend to me, the wedding party, and the family. From moving vases and lanterns and preparing candles for the event, to handing me a tissue as I walked down the isle to searching for the perfect plates, glasses, and fabric. My perfect day would not have been as seamless without her. She kept the day flowing with the timeline while also making sure every single flower and decoration was even more magical than I had planned. My guests even raved about how kind and fun she was! She was truly such a blessing. Every detail and the hard work she put in to every little detail did not go unnoticed by us and we are so thankful for all that she did, even if we didn’t have time in the moment to say so (:

The Mostly Becky team made my day a complete dream. They created not only the perfect design, BUT made sure every detail was completed with ease. We got married at a non-traditional venue outside, so the coordination needed to be on point. Even when aspects were failed on the venue's side, Mostly Becky handled all of our needs perfectly. The teams timeliness, communication, and kindness is above the rest!!! You can tell they are all seasoned planners by the way nothing in the planning process stressed or confused them. Most of Becky's reviews are from couples, but as a vendor - we'd like to express what a pleasure it was to work with Becky and her staff. We were given directives well in advance and expectations were communicated so we could execute our role flawlessly. She remained the consummate professional even when dealing with difficult personalities and ensured that every detail was taken care of. There are many moving parts when producing an event and probably Becky's best asset is her commitment to considering every angle. Executing the bride/groom's wants/needs while considering the limitations of the venue, but working from the perspective of a vendor coordinating every service with ease, ultimately delivering the best guest experience possible.

Where do I even begin… Becky and her crew are absolutely amazing. I have a super type A personality, so being organized was not the problem… but I wanted to know that I had someone who could deliver exactly what I wanted to have on our wedding day. No one from my side of the family lives in the same state as I do to help with all of the day of details that needed to be handled. Becky went through every last detail with me about our wedding to make sure that it was perfect. She was so quick to respond and made the whole process so much more relaxed. I was able to let go of some of my OCD/Type A personality and let Becky do what she does best. She made our wedding day run so smooth. She was always thinking several steps ahead. I never had to worry about anything on the day of our wedding which is exactly what we wanted. She was a life saver! Look no further – Mostly Becky Events will not disappoint!

If you're looking at hiring Becky and her team, DO IT. About a year ago, we got engaged and started planning the wedding. We got the easy big things out of the way, but with all the little details of a wedding, we had no idea where to begin, let alone execute the planned events. Looking back, we couldn't imagine our day without their help. They were there when you needed them, but also blended into the party. If there was anything that needed to be resolved, Becky and her team got it done. At first, Tom kept joking around and said he was going to practice the saying, "I don't know, ask Becky." "Where does this go, what about this, when does this happen???", "I don't know, ask Becky." Not only did it ease the strain on an already jam-packed day, it relieved us from the burden of all the questions, and let us enjoy our day.
