I can't say enough good things about Moulin as a venue and Brulee. I absolutely loved the venue and we're so happy with how it looked the day of the wedding. The communication with the venue was good throughout. The catering was amazing- great food and great service. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. Would definitely recommend for any big events!
Pros: Large warehouse, industrial style venue that fit exactly the look we were trying to achieve and located minutes from center city making transportation to and from the center city hotel easy.
The bridal suite and groom suite is perfect space for holding bridal party things and having a space to escape too and catch your breath during the event.
I had 190 guests and they new how to fill the space beautifully so it didn't feel empty while also have plenty of space that no one felt on top of one another.
We loved the option to BYOB.
And I can not speak higher about the catering. Brulee did an absolutely FANTASTIC job. The food was out of this world amazing. We splurged a bit on the red meat option and got the Kobe Steak and it was completely worth it. Absolutely delicious guests commented on it for weeks after the wedding.
Cons: Somewhat early on after choosing Moulin there were some changes in the management and who would be assisting us and the change ended up leading to a lot of lack of communication. A lot of confusion between what was told to us by one person then changed with the next. It seemed like a lot of things were missed by both us and the coordinator which was frustrating (nothing that ruined the day just small details that were frustrating).
Also you were locked in with a lights and drapery company which gave you no ability to shop around and compare prices since they are contracted through one company. We were trying to keep the wedding in a specific price range and this was one of the more costly vendors and it was upsetting we could searching out competitive pricing and compare the options. We also had some details missed regarding specialty lighting and some items that we purchased seperately for them to hang as decor lighting was never returned to us though we previously stated it would be after the event.
Also in regards to day of, their team didn't arrange our table numbers properly and the table assignment cards were also set up wrong even though we explained pretty thoroughly how it should be. Luckily my wedding party and family were able to fix it all before the guests arrived.
