Mount Palomar Winery... Where old World Meets New
Why Mount Palomar is such a popular wedding destination:
In the past decade, Temecula wine country has been one of the most sought-after destination wedding locations in southern California. Mount Palomar Winery is one of the founding wineries of the Temecula valley, establishing itself high atop our hill in 1969. Because of our premier location, our views are unequalled.
Couple that with our award-winning wines, outstanding weather, and close proximity to San Diego, Los Angeles and the Palm Springs desert, it’s no wonder that we are booked years in advance.
What sets Mount Palomar apart from the other wineries?
Our property offers a spectacular hillside space to accommodate intimate weddings of 75, to extravaganzas of 600+.
Mount Palomar Winery is one of the elite few wineries that hosts a full liquor license. Not only may you choose from our excellent wine and beer menus, but we have a full bar available for you to offer to your guests.
Because your day is “your” day, we only host one wedding per day in our venue. No rushing around or feeling like you have to hurry up to leave; our 9am arrival time gives you the chance to relax and soak it all in.
Our flexibility allows outside catering, including those for cultural celebrations.
To add to the festivities, our couples have included southern California flair with food trucks from:
In-N-Out
Chick-fil-A
Taco Trucks
Mount Palomar Winery is pet/animal friendly!
Whether you want to bring your fur baby for the day or enhance your guest list with elephants, llamas, goats or horses, all are welcome at Mount Palomar Winery.
Our spatial versatility also allows you to complete your vision with unique additions such as:
Classic cars
Vintage furniture vignettes
Lounge areas
Carts (coffee, gelato, churro, etc.)
Live food stations (paella, paan, doughnut, etc.)
Music is the life of the party! Our couples have hosted a myriad of options when planning their musical entertainment for the evening. From brass bands and string quartets to live rock bands and silent discos, our couples definitely know how to party.
Not ready for that party to end? We have a barrel room that will allow you to host your very own after party.

All I can say is WOW! Mount Palomar did an exceptional job on our wedding!! Not only did they always reply to our emails in a timely manner they were so accommodating and very easy to work with! As you may know weddings can be very stressful, but Mount Palomar made it a breeze! Me and my husband couldn’t have been more happy with the way everything turned out.
This is how amazing Mount Palomar is...me and my husband had planned to have both our ceremony and reception outdoors, but due to a storm that rolled in the night before we were unable to have our reception outdoors. I of course was very bummed because I had another vision of what I wanted it all to look like, but the Mount Palomar team assured me it would be just fine. BOY Were they right!! Not only was it “just fine” it was Amazing! The set up was gorgeous, and it was a nice intimate romantic feel! I received so many compliments from my guests!!
If I could do it all over again I would, and I wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you Mount Palomar for making our wedding dreams come true!

Raquel and Tyler,
Thank you again for sharing your special day celebrating with your family and friends at Mount Palomar Winery. It was a joy to work with you both! Thank you also for taking your time to write this very nice review. Best wi...
shes to you both for a lifetime of love and happiness.
This place is absolutely gorgeous, affordable and the best in Temecula! If you want romantic, elegant, delicious food, option for all outside and full liquor license…this is your place! Every guest could not stop complimenting us on the venue and how gorgeous it is. When you book with them they offer so many things: planner who is very attentive to all details, great food that you work with the chef on during the tasting, security and staff, will help with some setup, works with your vendors and just breathtakingly beautiful location that is private, feels very estately. Don’t look anywhere else, it’s is your place!
The Venue is nice.
Food was average, Appetizers were light. Dinner was rushed.
Completely mislead about bar packages! Drinks were small and very expensive. Was interrupted 3 times by someone showing me her phone with the current bar bill.
To me thats all the seemed to care about.
DJ was not around to find the song when the bride walked down the aisle.
Overall, would not recommend.
Response from the Vendor on 05/15/2024
We are sorry that the reviewer (who is neither the bride or the groom) was not happy, but we do want to clarify issues that were brought forward, as some are contradictory to what was agreed upon prior to the wedding and others were out of Moun...
t Palomar’s control totally.
Concerning the bar package. The couple had a consumption tab that they had agreed upon all throughout the planning process. 2 weeks prior to the wedding, the couple asked what would happen if they got close to reaching the tab. The Mount Palomar Team offered 2 options: They could go to cash bar, or they could authorize a pre-selected amount to increase the tab. If the latter was chosen, then they could choose an individual to be notified if the said increase looked like it might be needed. The reviewer stepped in at that time and said he is the one that wanted to be notified (this was 10 days prior to the wedding). The day of the wedding, we reminded the reviewer that he would be the one that we contacted, and he agreed. Towards the end of the reception, it looked like the tab might be getting close, if the drinking stayed at the same tempo. He became very agitated and said that he wanted to move from consumption tab to straight open bar. The team member informed him that if he moved to the straight open bar package, it would be a substantial monetary increase - one that did not seem warranted. This is when the team member brought out their phone to show him the increase and let him know, again, it was not an advantageous monetary situation. At the end of the reception, they hit tab - but did not even need the pre-approved increase, much less the substantial increase that the reviewer was calling for.
There was no “running up the bar”, or inflated drink prices. It was the bar package and outcome that had been agreed upon all throughout the process.
Appetizers are tray passed and were circulated throughout the entirety of the cocktail hour. There were no guests requesting more appetizers, nor did the reviewer ask for additional appetizers or bring this issue to anyone's attention the night of the wedding. Our appetizer/guest ratio is always the same and never have had complaints prior to this.
Because Mount Palomar does all of the day of timeline and venue coordinating, we work with our couples to create their timelines. This includes dinner service timing. We solidify the timeline 2 weeks prior to the wedding and our couples sign their timelines so that everyone has verified the flow of the evening. This was a plated dinner service. Mount Palomar believes it is paramount that all of the food comes out in a timely and expedited manner. This ensures that the guests are eating “together”, not where the latter tables are receiving their meals as the early tables are finishing their meals. The remainder of dinner went along the timeline that was agreed upon by the couple. Dinner plates are not removed from the table unless the guest gives the Mount Palomar team member permission to do so.
No one from the Mount Palomar team changed the wedding program. It was followed in tandem with the timeline that was created by the couple. The only “off script” change to the timeline was done by the DJ. Once, when he deviated from the timeline, Mount Palomar quickly stepped in and redirected the DJ to get back on course and stay on the timeline without further deviations.
The DJ was not a part of the Mount Palomar team. He also is NOT a preferred (recommended) vendor. This was his first time working at the venue with the Mount Palomar team. This was a vendor that was hired directly by the couple. The reviewer is correct, the DJ did play the “wrong” song for the bride. He played the processional song. A member of the Mount Palomar team was with the DJ cueing him to change music. When he realized he did not have the bride’s song loaded, he became distraught and could not find the music to download to his device to play. The silence became awkward, so he played the processional song. Again, this is something totally out of Mount Palomar’s control.
Again, we are sorry the reviewer felt this way, but we were following the prior planned vision that day put forward by the couple and we wish them all the best as they move forward in their new beginning.
Any questions?
We had the most amazing experience at Mount Palomar! We visited 10 venues all across SoCal in 3 days and when we saw Mount Palomar, the venue was absolutely breathtaking.
When I saw those columns to walk down the aisle to it was so stunning, we immediately said yes! Then, when we saw the barrel room for an after party we were like, where do we sign?
Shellie and the entire staff were great to work with - communicative, effective, and kind. They literally make it so easy for you with all the vendor recs and timeline specifics. When you have a wedding here you know you're in good hands!
Mount Palomar Winery (MPW) coupled with Shellie and her team is a recipe for success!
We have been coming to Temecula for wine tasting since we first met, and when the time came to get serious about finding venues for our big day, we narrowed down our options to 6 different wineries down there. After sitting down with Shellie in their amazing barrel room (which is also available for use), we felt like we had our venue. The location sells itself, MPW is one of (if not THE) oldest winery in that area, and as a result, they are perched on the highest hill giving them the best views.
Shellie is such a joy to work with. She's incredibly confident in what she and her team does, and their ability to take couples' ideas and make them happen. The MPW wedding package is very all-encompassing, so the price they give you will cover your venue, your ceremony space, cocktail space and reception area. All the linens, plates, FOOD and a specified bar tab/option will be included. This means less coordinating with outside rental companies and less headache. We locked in our date VERY early (almost 2 years ahead of time) which gave us plenty of time to make comfortable monthly installments towards our balance, and even though we were so far away, the MPW team was still so responsive and helpful to us as we navigated the planning process; and we had a lot of questions between us and our parents, and we want to thank Shellie so so much for her patience and helpfulness.
Shellie and her team will be your day-of coordinators and ensure that all vendors and everyone stay on schedule that day which is also a huge service to provide, especially at the level of involvement with which they do it. They are there from early morning to end of the event, checking in, moving things, setting up and tearing down, it was wild to witness. Even at rehearsal the day before, we had a lot of things to bring in (decor, games, seating charts - many small and big items that had specific places to go) and the team just swiftly took things from our cars, took notes on what they were and where they'd go, and boom, it was handled. Even some decorations that we weren't sure how to place, they figured it out perfectly the day of.
On our wedding day, everything went flawless, we really cannot recount one thing we would have changed. Something Shellie does that I'm very thankful for is a 10 minute "cool down" right after the ceremony. She whisks the couple into the brides suite and places someone at the door and inside we had our signature cocktails, appetizers and a couch to sit and just be in the moment before going right into photos and all the madness. It is an incredibly sweet gesture, and very memorable. Anytime throughout the evening we needed something, Shellie or one of her team were right there, it made the night go wonderfully.
I also need to mention that absolutely everyone left being so impressed with how beautiful MPW looked, how nice and fun the wedding was, and how nice and friendly and sweet all of the staff were. I haven't been to a wedding where the staff stood out so strongly in mine and everyone's minds, which I think is a testament to the hard work they put in. We really are blown away and so grateful we had our big day here. They made us feel so special, so taken care of, and allowed us to truly enjoy the wonderful chaos that is your wedding day.
THANK YOU MOUNT PALOMAR!!
We got married here in October and it was amazing. The staff made everything so smooth and everyone was so nice and on top of it. Shellie is the best! The food and the wine at the venue are amazing and the venue itself is gorgeous!
I’m a little disappointed to say that I set up an appointment to have a tour. My tour time was changed on me very last minute to accommodate another appointment. I showed up at the designated time only to be told that they were expecting me at the first appointment I made, and didn’t have someone set for my appointment. I was advised I would receive a quote And never heard back from anyone else after multiple attempts to reach them by phone and email. The destination is OK but the service response is super disappointing. Not sure if this would be worth my time to continue to follow up and spend so much money with a team that has no desire to be professional and follow up with a customer.
If I could give mount Palomar 100/10 stars I would. Shellie makes the wedding day a breeze. I honestly did not need to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. The venue is stunning. I would highly highly recommend Mount Palomar to anyone looking for a vineyard wedding.
My partner and I tried to get in contact with the venue for weeks but they never reached back out. We called and emailed (via the knot and their website) but still no reply. Hope they become more responsive for others who are planning on having their wedding here.
This venue is so unbelievably gorgeous. The views, the amazing flower arch walkway, and the perfect market lights — not to mention the Barrel Room that housed our After Party — it was absolutely incredible!
That being said, the sheer volume of strict rules and the stringent nature of the venue manager, Shellie, starts to become a bit of a drag during the planning process. Shellie is very smart, and efficient and organized. She can whip any underperforming vendor into shape very quickly. The amazing thing about Shellie is that I knew with 100% certainty that my wedding day would go off without a hitch. No matter what problems arose, she would fix them without bothering me (like when the DJ forgot to mention the Send Off and she made it happen anyway). She has a really good heart and just wants your day to go perfectly, which we really felt whole heartedly from her during the 2 years we planned this wedding.
The not-so-great thing is that her rigidity also spills into your day in other ways as well. During our rehearsal, the first thing Shellie said to my wedding party was that she didn’t want them to give her issues - and proceeded to reprimand them about bringing in flasks (which never happened). It was giving a bit of a bad vibe going into the weekend. Shellie does NOT compromise on much, and when she doesn’t get along well with your wedding planner (like mine), things can get difficult to mediate.
Ceremony - The venue restaurant was playing loud music during our ceremony. That was really disappointing, but luckily someone turned it off before we recited our vows.
Drinks - A very unfortunate rule Mount Palomar has is the signature drink policy. If you splurge to pay for a full premium hosted bar for your guests, you still can’t allow any of those guests to drink your signature drink. So if your signature drink is a margarita, no one else can drink that unless they pay for it… even if you paid for a full premium hosted bar all night. The rule is supposed to help out the couples who only pay for wine and beer for their guests, but it really screws the couples with a full bar. Also, the signature drink list that they give you at your tasting consists of extremely sugary drinks that only high schoolers would enjoy.
Also, the head bartender was very rude. At the after party, he made me feel really bad about wanting a different drink than my signature drink, which isn’t fair because it’s my wedding. And he also was very snippy to my guests. I heard that from several people.
Bridal Suites -- Something to keep in mind is that Shellie will not allow you to leave anything in the Bridal Suites overnight. So if you have an outfit change and leave your wedding gown, or bring a bag of jackets and change of shoes or something, you need to find someone from your wedding party or a guest to go grab them and put it in their car. Which pulls them out of the party. That was really hard to coordinate, and seemed unnecessary since there was no event on property the next day. It would have saved a lot of time and effort for me if we could’ve just picked up those things the next morning.
The above are important things for brides to keep in mind, but overall, I would absolutely suggest this venue because it is so unbelievably gorgeous. But, I would highly suggest that you hire a wedding planner that has worked with Shellie before — believe me, you’ll be happy you did.
Wow! Shellie and her team were rockstars! When I tell you I did not hear a single problem I mean it. The team that was helping out that day was truly amazing. Shellie and her team made my day a one to remember forever. If I could relive that moment I would in a heart beat because I have never had a stress free day like I did on my wedding day. The team went beyond my expectations. Mount Palomar made accommodations due to the weather. The team made sure that I didn’t get wet. So they were all on top of their game, had umbrellas to cover me and even laid a black carpets so my dress and veil wouldn’t get wet. Shellie made sure my husband didn’t see me before the ceremony. The bartender were so professional and very very good! Shellie & Aurora were a wonderful day of coordinators, even though we only had Aurora for a couple of hours. They were magical at what they do!!!
The food: wow! My guest were talking and messaging me saying how amazing and delicious that food was. It made my guest want to lick their fingers. The chefs did phenomenal job!
To end my review, otherwise I would write for days! I say want to end by saying that Mount Palomar and their team is something to consider on your special day. It brings back tears knowing how magical my night was due to them. I highly recommend this venue for your one truly magical night.
Thank you team Palomar for making my day one to remember forever and always. We thank you from the bottom our hearts!
If you're looking to get married at a winery, look no further. Mount Palomar is breathtakingly beautiful, and a top notch venue to work with! It's situated at the top of a hill so the views from your ceremony site are incredible, plus the outdoor courtyard for the reception is dreamy! This was the 5th venue we ended up touring and after we visited, we were teary eyed because we knew we didn't even need to keep looking. Not to mention, it's extremely affordable compared to other venues in Temecula/SD/LA! Plus it is DOG FRIENDLY :)
Shellie was our POC from the very beginning and was with me from 9AM to 11PM for my wedding. She is amazing to work with! She really knows the venue inside and out, is on top of her game, and never missed a beat! I work in the event planning industry and as soon as I met Shellie, I knew I was in good hands. Because I ended up hiring vendors myself (most of which were on a list provided to me by Shellie), I didn't need to hire an outside coordinator. Shellie and her team did all of the coordination the day of. The day of my wedding went absolutely perfectly. The venue looked pristine, we started on time (and stuck to schedule thanks to Shellie), food was tasty, and due to the venue staff's hard work, I didn't worry about a thing and just got to enjoy my wedding like every bride should! TRUST ME (I work in the event planning industry), this is an AMAZING venue to get married at!
Worst run winery in all of Temecula. We had planned for our dream wedding here in 2020, booked in mid-2019, and due to Covid-19 had to move our wedding date. Strange that it took some convincing on our part for Mt. Palomar to accept, when there was a pandemic going on. We rescheduled for 7 months later, everyone expecting Covid-19 to settle down by then, but it was early 2021 and it was still really bad. State and County Orders specifically said no Receptions are allowed, so we asked Mt. Palomar can we move our date again or we will have to cancel, and they ignored our emails and calls and just took the money we had already paid for our wedding (nearly $20,000), and ran away with it. How is this legal? Well, it is not, and that is why we are hiring lawyers to get our money back in full.
We understand small business is affected by this global pandemic, but so is the customer.
Also, they kept pushing for us to continue with our wedding during the pandemic even against State and County Orders. I even emailed County Legal Counsel who confirmed in writing that Receptions were not allowed at the time, but Mt. Palomar was running a shady business and having large Receptions all along. Their wine is not very good anyway, they sent us a few samples as part of our wedding package, way too sweet. Nothing crisp. Take your money elsewhere. Shellie Milne is a disaster of a Wedding Coordinator. Mt. Palomar is a terrible run winery.
My name is Eric and I own an entertainment company by the name of Extreme DJ Service. The Mt Palomar Winery is a preferred venue that we have had the privilege of working at for many years. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with a gorgeous view, great food & wine along with professional service… look no further, Palomar is the place. We highly recommend the venue and their staff.

I absolutely love Mount Palomar! One of the most gorgeous wedding venues in the valley and they have an exceptional team that provides amazing client service. I am a wedding photographer who gets to photograph at this venue frequently, and I always look forward to my weddings at this venue. There are SO many places to photograph that literally no two weddings of mine at this venue look the same. It is amazing! So if you are looking to book this venue for your BIG day, look no further. <3
We had our May wedding at Mount Palomar and it was absolutely gorgeous! Truly the most breathtaking landscapes in Temecula. So many great spots for photos! We used the barrel room for cocktail hour and then went back outside for the reception. I know this was not a common choice, but I am so happy our guests got to experience both locations (most guests were coming from Arizona and had never been to a winery or barrel room). Sandy was always quick to respond to all my questions and everything went smoothly on the day of. We had a perfect wedding! Thanks Mount Palomar Team!
I would highly recommend Mount Palomar to anyone who wants to get married in wine country. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and it is very reasonably priced. The Mount Palomar dtaff and Temecula Catering were all fantastic, and made our big day as easy and seamless as possible. We are had an absolutely fantastic experience from the moment we paid our deposit up until the end of our wedding night. Having Sandy there to answer questions and make sure everything went smoothly gave us so much peace of mind. Thank you Mount Palomar!
Mount Palomar Winery was the perfect venue for our day! One thing in particular that we loved was the food!! The caterer that the venue uses was outstanding and delicious!
From choosing our wine to our coordinating meetings with Sandy, we always felt welcome and that our day was the venues top priority!
The venue itself was everything we dreamed of and gave me goose bumps the first time I walked down the aisle touring the grounds! Its extremely spacious and the views are to die for! The bridal suite was also a great touch with a steamer, sparkling wine, and plenty of mirrors for the bridal party to get ready in! I highly recommend considering this special place for your day!
My hubby and I got married at MPW last month and we couldn’t have been happier with our venue choice. Not only is the venue stunning, but the super helpful and responsive coordinators (shout out to Sandy and Kim!!) made everything flow so seamlessly. Oh and their wine is amazing!! We highly recommend this venue!!
We can't say enough good things about Mount Palomar + team! We decided on Mount Palomar after touring many wineries in the Temecula area – but you really can't beat the gorgeousness of the grounds and how private it feels at MPW. We loved that the outdoor wedding ceremony and reception sites were on a separate level and blocked from the public access areas - we honestly felt like we were on our own private little winery. Sandy was beyond helpful and responsive to my (many, many) emails throughout the months leading up the wedding. She was so easy to work with and I am so grateful I was able to work with someone so professional and who seems to truly enjoy working in the wedding industry. Kimberly was our day of coordinator and she was prompt, friendly, organized, and got things done!
Our guests are still raving about the views, the location, the food, etc from our wedding! The staff was so accommodating with all of our requests! The value and experience we got for our wedding far exceeded our expectations and that is a true testament to the staff at MPW. We look forward to returning to Mount Palomar in the future, as it will forever hold a very special place in our hearts! Thank you so much for making our wedding dreams come true!
Our wedding day was nothing short of perfection. Our guests from our amazing day on June 2nd are STILL (over a month later) raving about our wedding. The food was amazing, the stuff was attentive and professional, the grounds were absolutely breathtaking. We could not have asked for a better day, truly. Sandy was a joy to work with and she ensured that all our questions/concerns were answered in a timely manner - And we had a lot of those since this was a destination wedding for us! Our hearts are forever grateful to MPW and their incredible team! I highly recommend anyone looking for a stunning venue with amazing service for their wedding day to seriously consider Mount Palomar Winery. You will not regret it!!! We are lucky to know that we can go back to our wedding venue for years to come and it will always be beautiful & special to us and our family. If you are on the fence between this venue and another, look no further! This team and venue will make your dreams a reality. Thank you MPW for all you did for us, we are forever grateful to you all!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Mount Palomar Winery and cannot say thank you enough to the entire staff and coordinators! The coordinators were there to answer every single question (brides have a lot of those) and they always were there to reassure me and help me. The wedding was more magical than I ever pictured and the staff exceeded all expectations through the whole process. Our guests are still raving about the food, drinks, winery and whole wedding. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mount Palomar Winery for the best day ever!!!
We had our ceremony and reception at Mount Palomar. We also had our rehearsal lunch at their Bistro onsite. Everything is very conveniently located and I felt like planning my wedding was actually quite easy and straightforward thanks to Sandy (event coordinator).
1) Ceremony site: incredibly gorgeous! I didn't even add any decorations because I didn't want to ruin the natural scenery
2) Cocktail hour: right behind the ceremony site. Incredibly convenient for the guests and for taking photos after the ceremony
3) Reception: we did ours outdoors (they also have a barrel room for indoor option). Again, everything is just so naturally beautiful that I did not add any decorations (save $$$). Market lights are placed as default. Bathrooms are easy to access and clean. I had a few kids that came that were watched closely by their parents and it looked like they were having a great time too - I had fiber optic wands and glow sticks which probably helped =)
4)Wine: our favorite by far in Temecula and we drank a lot of wine while looking for a wedding venue. Our wedding package came with a hosted bar and guests who normally don't like wine really enjoyed the wine selection. They also have a wine tasting room so guests who came early hung out there while waiting for the ceremony to begin.
5) Tips for the bride: Sandy (the event coordinator) has a lot of experience. She isn't pushy and if you ask for advice, she is able to provide great words of wisdom and provide perspective. She is also very accommodating and responds to your emails w/n 24-48hrs. There are bridal and groom suites on site and you can park your car right outside for convenience. On the day of, she constantly checked in with me to make sure I was want of nothing. My wedding was fun with minimal stress and I actually got to enjoy it. Their Suggested Vendors List is choice!
Highly, highly recommend.
Mount Palomar was absolutely amazing!!!! We had our wedding there this past February. The venue itself was gorgeous, and the staff made the entire experience seamless. From the tour all the way through to the day of, they were very communicative and responsive to our questions and requests (thanks Sandy!!!). I knew nothing about how to plan a wedding or an event of this scale, and Sandy really helped me through the process to ensure that everything was done on time and to a very high standard. Kimberly was our day of coordinator and she made everything absurdly easy on the day and kept everything running on time. By the time it came down to it, we were actually able to enjoy the wedding, as opposed to worrying about any logistics, which was exactly what we wanted. The food was lovely, the wine was exquisite, and many of my guests told me it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. It was also by far the best value for the package you get compared to other venues in the area (we toured several others). I truly don't think we could have picked a better place to get married, and thank you so much to everyone at Mount Palomar for helping us have a wedding that surpassed even what we hoped for!!!
The minute I stepped onto Mount Palomar Winery, I knew. The upper level where the ceremony/reception is usually located is perfect, beautiful and private which is the best part. I visited several other wineries that same day but none of them were as private and exclusive as Mount Palomar. The staff were so professional and experienced they answered every question on spot. The alcohol selection was great, not to mention one of the few wineries in the area that has their liquor license. They only do one ceremony per day, so in no way do you clash with other wedding parties and the exclusivity of the upper level is the greatest. There really is no opportunity for wedding attendants & wedding party to clash with restaurant & winery guests. Privacy was a huge deal for my husband and I when it came to venues, I visited another winery (Ponte) which was equally as beautiful but not as private. I witnessed 3 ceremonies going on at once while my visit and disliked the organization of it all, I practically saw the whole ceremony from the restaurant from one of the ceremony sites (there were several) and I felt uncomfortable watching as usually it is an intimate event. Anyway, Mount Palomar exceeded my expectations when it came to the day of, there were several hiccups throughout the day of course but staff handled each problem professionally and quickly. Sandy and Kimberly were both awesome. Unfortunately the day before my wedding it poured and poured all day, my reception was scheduled to be outside but as soon as forecast was certain, Sandy (wedding coordinator) emailed me with a new plan of moving indoors to the barrel room with new seating arrangements and set up. It was perfect! No stress needed just my decision as the day of my wedding would be wet grass and cold. Just like that, the reception was quickly moved indoors with ceremony still outside. I rarely had to make contact with vendors the day of as staff handled all of it and I was able to relax and enjoy as much as any bride can on the day of. Pictures were beautiful, the place hardly needs any decorations as it is covered with beautiful scenery all around and a view of all of Temecula (one of the highest peaks). I could hear guests rant and rave about the location and how they would've love to get married there as well. All I could say is I wish I could've been my own attendant to my wedding to witness all the splendor of the day and venue. Very large area to decorate as little and as much as you want. My day was perfect at Mount Palomar, thank you all of the staff.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice and detailed review of your wedding day and our sites. It was a joy to work with both you, your family and friends. Your day turned out beautiful as well as your gorgeous photos. Bes...
t wishes on a lifetime of love and happiness!
If you are looking for a venue, look no farther! Mount Palomar Winery was the most amazing location by far. My husband and I were married in September and it was absolutely beautiful. The communication from the staff, their flexibility and ability to help my vision come true was simply the spectacular. Their packages made planning so easy and simple, which when in the whole wedding planning was a weight lifted off my shoulders. Our guests raved about how beautiful the location was, how friendly the staff was, and how everything flowed effortlessly from one part to the next. My husband and I are so happy with the way our wedding turned out and couldn’t imagine having it at another location. Sandy and her team are fantastic!

Chelsea & Alan,
Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for your review posted on our wedding venue. It was such a pleasure to work with you, your family and friends. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.
The venue from the two outdoor areas & the Barrel Room are beautiful! The views & greenery are luxurious. The wedding coordinator Sandy was wonderful & Kimberly who helped w/ the rehearsal (in pouring down rain) & wedding day, was an absolute delight. Sandy was always quick in returning calls. Overall the wedding was beautiful & we had a magical night. To be honest about our experience, I need to share a few negatives. I say this in hopes that for future weddings they will reflect & make changes. We live in AZ. The first issue, they fired the caterer. We came into town from AZ, to do a tasting months before w/ her. I wasn’t told for over a week(the previous caterer had called to let me know). After a week I called them. They tried to convince me the new company was fantastic & better than the previous caterer (they weren’t better at all). I’m a “foodie” so the food was extremely important to me. The previous caterer was fantastic. I knew NOTHING of the new caterer & other people’s opinion is just that, their opinion. This happened 3 weeks before the wedding. I couldn’t drive from AZ for a new tasting. I asked Sandy what the bottom line was on options. It ended up, there were no options after she spoke to Chris, Dir. of Operations. I asked to speak to her & Sandy had her call me. BIG MISTAKE on my part in wanting to speak w/ her. It went from bad to worse. In my mind I would tell her where I was coming from & she would listen and do the same & we may agree/disagree/ or come up with a compromise. My job includes customer service & I would NEVER treat a client as she treated me. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you she NEVER let me finish a sentence & cut me off every time I spoke, within 3 words. The level of frustration I felt when I realized she never had any intent on listening to me was overwhelming. I couldn’t believe she was so rude & condescending. I finally told her how bad she was treating me on this call & told her I deal with clients & in a million years I would NEVER speak to them as she was speaking to me. This was her reply, “Anne, you are emotional, you are a bride. You will look beautiful, you will look beautiful in your dress, we love you(I have never met her) your day will be beautiful.” Then she gave an underlying threat that if I wasn’t happy they can just pull the wedding. In no way was the conversation at a level to make that threat. I was shocked & shut down very quickly in fear that would happen. I wish I could describe her robotic, condescending way she spoke to me. I just hung up the phone & cried. An hour later I called Sandy & told her what happened. I said that I somehow have pull myself up from this & move forward. It was so awful & it put such a huge damper on things I can’t tell you.
Chris should NEVER be allowed to speak to any client. The 2nd issue I wasn’t aware of until after the wedding. Several guests said that right after the champagne toast, before dinner, they were collecting glasses, before guests were finished. The server actually said “We need to take the glasses because people steal them”, then she said she needed to wash them so she could go home. They collected napkins, water glasses etc. way too early with the impression of getting staff duties done as a priority over making guests comfortable. My guests words were “it was bad”.
Overall, it was majical & a few things should have been handled differently, but Sandy & Kimberly were a true delight & made the day beautiful. Thank you!!
My husband and I (love saying husband now!!) had the most incredible wedding at Mt Palomar Winery. Everything was absolutely flawless and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day! We looked at several wineries in the Temecula area and Mt Palomar was by far our favorite. Sandy was extremely helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. We had the whole wedding venue property to ourselves. We used the barrel room for the “after party” and had late night “snacks” (pizza & sliders) for our guests and it was a blast! The entire wedding from the ceremony to the reception looked like a dream with the beautiful landscapes & sunset! We are so happy we had our amazing wedding celebration at Mt Palomar Winery!
My husband and I couldn't have asked for more than Mount Palomar had to offer us for our wedding day! From the day we viewed the incredible venue throughout the entire planning process, the staff was professional, responsive, flexible, and detail-oriented - There wasn't a single time I had to stress out about anything because they were always one step ahead of me to make sure coordinations were running smoothly. The wedding packages are the most inclusive and have the best value compared to any other venue we toured (we toured 9 other venues) and their ceremony and reception spaces are jaw-droppingly gorgeous! We had multiple guests comment that our wedding was the best they've ever been to and it was largely due to Mount Palomar and its incredible staff. Thank you for helping us make our wedding day one of the best days of our lives!
This venue is A++! If you want your wedding to run smoothly and your guests enjoy the food and environment this is the place for you! My husband and I are so happy that we chose MPW as our wedding venue. Sandy and the staff made sure our wedding was perfect and I cant thank them enough!
They even offer discounts for active military and veterans!
My husband and I got married at Mount Palomar Winery on 10.11.18. It was the most beautiful day that we could have ever imagined! Finding a venue is never easy, but once we saw the beautiful greenery, the mountain views, the vines, and the ceremony site of Mount Palomar Winery, we were sold! We absolutely LOVED working with the staff and team of MPW! Sandy, Kimberly, Lauren and the other Mount Palomar staff took the best possible care of us not only on our wedding day but on each day we spoke prior to. They helped us pick the food, the wine, plan where the decorations would be placed, and finally helped us organize our vendors. There are so many moving pieces on the big day and Mount Palomar staff did their very best work to make sure everything was beautiful and went according to the plan!
Our Mount Palomar Winery wedding was more beautiful than we could have imagined! All of the MPW staff were great to work with and did a great job making sure everything went smoothly.
My husband and I could not be happier about this venue. It has so much natural beauty that there is little you actually need to do to decorate. A few personalized touches and you have a magical space for a wedding. The venue coordinator Sandy was so inclusive of my outside wedding planner and they both were on the same page on the wedding day. It was so refreshing. A huge advantage is that the venue only has one wedding per day so you have the ability to decide having the reception outside vs inside until the day before the wedding. We are so incredibly pleased with our decision. Our guests could not stop talking about the space and I understand why.
Mount Palomar Winery turned out to be the perfect choice for my husband and I. From beginning to end, everything from the decor to the food and wine was amazing! We had our reception in the barrel room. The smell of the wood barrels plus the candle light was so romantic. If your thinking about an outdoor ceremony, they have a couple of options depending on what you like. Both are beautiful. Our pictures turned out great! We chose to have a pretty small wedding with simple decor and but you could easily dress this place up to be more formal and fit a pretty good amount of guests. The staff was so accommodating especially with any questions or concerns we had. They made my husband and I, plus our friends and family feel so relaxed and ready to enjoy our special day.
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula and it truly was a dream come true! The venue was so naturally beautiful with the landscape and scenery that all we had to do is enjoy the party!
I just had my wedding here last month, and I would totally have given them more stars but let me just go over what made Mount Palomar an amazing wedding venue.
-GORGEOUS ceremony and reception venue
-Staff was organized and time efficient
-Our coordinator, Kimberly was great at controlling our rowdy wedding party and keeping us on schedule
-Food was delicious
What really disappointed me about this venue was that ALOT of our guests complained that the venue was being very stingy about the food. Nobody was allowed second helpings and even the toasting champagne was taken away BEFORE most of our guests were even able to finish them! We paid good money for this food and for me to hear from our guests (including family) that they had gone hungry at our reception due to staff witholding food from them, really angers me to be honest. Why am I angry do you ask? Because I heard that not only did they not give our guests second helpings, but they packed the extra food away!!! Why would they pack the food away THAT WE PAID FOR WITH OUR HARDEARNED MONEY when our guests wanted more??? Maybe they were hoping we (my husband and I) wouldnt notice that we were being a bit short changed?? Another thing that irks me even more is that we had 9 people who did not show up to the wedding who I am assuming should have been accounted for, ergo, our venue should have had a surplus of food due to a smaller headcount than anticipated.
Hoping I get a clear and honest explanation for this. I really did want to give them an above average rating, but this service is unacceptable.
Once we narrowed down we wanted to get married in Temecula we set appointments at a few wineries. Mount Palomar was the second winery we toured, and it blew every other one out of the water. We knew immediately that we wanted this venue when we saw it. The views at the ceremony site are incredible, the photos don’t do it justice.
The MPW staff is extremely easy to work with making the day of very smooth. We had our wedding in the beginning of May and the weather was gorgeous and the flowers and vines were bloomed.
Bonuses of the venue:
• It’s gorgeous all by itself you don’t need to spend a ton on florals
• All-inclusive – we were planning our wedding from afar and the only vendors I needed were the music, photography, and floral
• The food vendor brings you plates of your cocktail hour food and dinner, so you get to eat
• They only do one wedding a day so you have full access to everything to take photos and the staff is focused on just your day
The only complaint I heard from quite a few people was that as soon as they would set their wine glass down to take a photo or chat the staff would take the glass immediately. I experienced this with my glass too when I was taking photos I’d turn around to get my glass and it was gone. We did an open bar so price wise that didn’t affect us but if you weren’t doing an open bar I would suggest getting those drink toppers that say “Please don’t take, I’m still enjoying my wine.”
I would highly suggest Mount Palomar Winery for your wedding. The venue looks like a million dollars but is extremely affordable. I can’t tell you how many people told me this was the best wedding venue they’ve ever been to.
Mount Palomar is a stunning, unforgettable venue for a wedding. Our family and friends still rave about our special day there. My husband and I live in Chicago and we appreciated that Lauren and her team made it easy to plan our wedding from far away. We visited the venue once, signed the agreement and came out only one more time for the catering and wine tasting. The rest was handled via email and phone calls - which we appreciated!
The food was outstanding, the wines were great and the day flowed smoothly with the coordination from the Mount Palomar team.
I have been a bit surprised that no one from Mount Palomar followed up with me after the wedding seeking feedback about our experience. If they had, I'd have shared with them that one thing slipped through the cracks: we were supposed to have a wine-blending ceremony and no one put the wine out for it to take place. We ended up having to do a bit of improv during the ceremony and since it was listed in our program, a few people asked us why we skipped that part. I presumed that the venue would provide and set up these items and no one told me that I needed to bring the items and have them set up for the ceremony. I'm still not sure whose responsibility that part was. Because of this, I couldn't give perfect 5 stars across the board.( I only would take off 1/2 star but theknot only allows whole stars - the other site I reviewed them on I gave them 4.5 stars).
However despite that oversight/miscommunication (not sure which it was?), if given the chance to do it all over again, I'd still choose Mount Palomar Winery for our wedding ceremony and reception site. The team there helped us to create a beautiful, unforgettable day.
We had our wedding at Mount Palomar on April 14, 2018 and it went throughout without a hitch! Sandy and her team made sure everything was taken care of. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue is and all had a great time. The staff was really great on the day of too. Every guest was well taken care of. We were told bartenders were all friendly and fun. We must have toured almost every vineyard venue in Temecula before deciding on Mount Palomar and we couldn't be happier about our choice! For what you get, it is very good value. During the planning process I definitely had many questions and MPW staff responded to every email very prompty and helped me through it all. Our guests all raved about how good the wedding food was too! Overall, if you're considering MPW, look no further, you won't regret your decision to host your wedding here. :)
We had our wedding June 2017 and we were beyond satisfied with the service provided by the staff at Mt Palomar Winery. The day of coordinators were very helpful and allowed my husband and I to feel like we didn’t need to keep track of anything on the agenda. The serving/food staff were excellent and seemed to always be one step ahead of what was needed. Lauren was very organized and responded to all my emails in a very timely manner. I always felt I had the info I needed when I needed it which made planning my wedding that much easier. Not to mention, the winery and views from the winery are absolutely stunning and allowed for beautiful pictures. Our guests continue to express to us what a great time they had and how stunning the venue was. Mount Palomar Winery is absolutely a great choice for a wedding venue!
Planning and having our wedding at Mount Palomar was incredible. The women in the wedding department (Sandy, Kim, and Lauren) were all amazing in every single way, especially with details and helping to plan. The venue was stunning, even in December ( the month of our wedding) with PERFECT weather (78°). The vines still had some leaves on them, and the ceremony site is unparalleled. We held the reception in the barrel room and it was so nice to have a room with so much character which allowed for minimal decorations. The only thing I was disappointed about was the owener of the catering company. The food was delicious (which is why I’m giving 5 stars) but the owner was not very friendly. The assistant, Bryce, was much more pleasant to work with and was very accommodating to any changes we wanted to make.
My husband and I are so happy that we choose Mount Palomar as our venue! We picked this venue after our original venue fell through, and luckily they had our date available on a Friday in September. We still get rave compliments from our guests and we relive this day so fondly! The food was great and our guests were sure to let us know. The staff was efficient, friendly and you can tell they are all a well-oiled machine! The grounds are truly gorgeous, this venue is nothing short of breathtaking. I would say our only (minor) disappointment was brought to our attention after the wedding. We had a few guests tell us that the hosted bar ran out of vodka, which was a bummer since we paid for an open bar. And then several members of our family let us know that the tray passed champagne that we paid extra for as well, was just flutes of champagne that guests were directed to go to the bar for. So that kind of defeated the purpose of tray passed, if guests had to walk up to the bar. But those are just minor discrepancies in the grand scheme of our amazing day.
I can't say enough how much I love Mount Palomar Winery! I would choose this venue 100 times over if I had to do it all over again. Mt Palomar was the first venue we visited in Temecula and after seeing 10+ wineries we still knew we picked the right one. Not only did they have the most beautiful grounds for the ceremony and reception, but also the friendliest staff. Most importantly, weddings are very expensive and Mount Palomar definitely made sure we got the most for our money. They allowed us to apply our spend any way we liked. What was most unique is that we got to use the whole grounds because they only have one wedding a day, making it more special unlike other venues. We got to use the outdoor sites and the barrel room which took our guests on a truly fantastic and romantic journey. I just can't say enough how beautiful the property is. We hardly had to spend much on decor because there was so much natural beauty already. We loved coming down to visit the winery while we were wedding planning and plan to come back regularly to say hi to the staff and visit the wonderful place we got married!
When we began looking at wedding venues, we were interested in the Temecula area and so we had several appointments at various locations booked in the same day. At the end of the day, we decided to do some wine tasting and talk about our thoughts of the venues we’d seen. We happened to pull into Mount Palomar, and as we walked the grounds, joked that we’d love to have our wedding there but we knew we’d never fit it into our budget. On a whim, my husband took a brochure and Sandy happened to be available for a tour. We were surprised and delighted to find that not only was the venue affordable, but it had each of the elements we had been looking for.
We were very happy throughout the process that we decided on Mount Palomar for our November wedding. Sandy, Lauren, and Kimberly were all very helpful and communicative during the months leading up to our day. When the weather forecast showed rain on our wedding day, Sandy helped us to make a Plan B, setting us at ease. Luckily, we had a gorgeous day (without a drop of rain!) and the MP staff helped to ensure everything went smoothly all day. We received many compliments on the food, the wine, and the grounds, and when the sun went down the barrel room was a perfect space for our reception. We loved that we were the only wedding on the grounds that day and that we could use as much of the gorgeous winery as we wanted to! If you’re looking for an affordable and beautiful space for your wedding in Temecula, we highly recommend Mount Palomar!
What to say about Mount Palomar... AMAZING, HELPFUL, VERY NICE!! We just got married here on November 3rd, the staff was amazing and so accommodating the day of the wedding!! The coordinators Lauren, Kimberly, and Sandy are all so amazing! The food was great and the wine selection was even better! Thank you, Mount Palomar for making our day so spectacular!!!
We were married at Mount Palomar Winery on Aug 19th, 2017 and I must say I could not have pictured a better day. From the first time we walked on the winery, we knew this was our venue. We had only 7 months to plan and Lauren the events coordinator made everything simple and was quick to respond to our questions (I had a lot). You are required to hire their catering company, we were nervous but the appetizers and the rolled chicken was amazing. Day of, we had a different coordinator and she kept us on time and our glasses full. Thank you for making our day special. I am one of the lucky ones to say the day went without a glitch. :)
There are so many amazing things that I have to say about Mount Palomar Winery! My husband and I had our wedding here in October 2017, and it was the most amazing and magical night of our lives. Everything from the breathtaking ceremony site overlooking Temecula to ending the night in the Barrel Room for late night dancing went perfectly. This is all thanks to the amazing staff. Lauren, the wedding and events manager, played a huge role in making the evening as successful as it was! From the moment we started looking at this venue until the day it was over, she was always readily available for any questions or concerns we may have. Even when I emailed her 3 times a day with a million questions, she never faltered to answer my questions in a pleasant and helpful way. Our day of coordinator, Sandy, was also amazing. She made sure our day ran smoothly and took care of any and all last minute issues that came up. All of our guests had an AMAZING time, and we are still hearing from people about how it was one of the most beautiful wedding venues they have ever seen, and one of the most fun weddings they have ever attended!!! Some things that sealed the deal for us with the wedding venue was the ability to move inside at 10 PM to keep the party going until 12 (there is a noise-ordinance in this county which prohibits loud music after 10 PM outside), and the ability to add-on hard alcohol on top of the beer and wine provided. I have zero regrets about choosing this venue for our wedding, and I would do it over again a million times!
I had the most unforgettable wedding and my vision couldn’t have came to life without the beautiful grounds and help of Mount Palomar staff. Everyone answered my emails promptly and gave assistance when needed. My wedding was a destination weddding and was planned completely from another state. The staff made the process stress free and helped me stay on top of what needed to be done! I highly recommend this venue for future weddings!!!
Mount Palomar was the best place we could have picked for our wedding last month. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and the staff was amazing to work with. Everyone was very concerned with making sure that our day went exactly the way we wanted it to. Every request we made was granted- no problem! So many of our guests commented that our wedding was the most beautiful they have ever been to, and Mount Palomar has everything to do with that.
We got married at Mount Palomar on October 14, 2017 and the entire day was perfect. Their staff is amazing and so attentive. Lauren has such attention to detail and really works hard to make the day perfect. They only host one wedding a day, and the venue space is separate from the winery tasting area so you don't have to worry about people looking in on your wedding. All our guests commented about how beautiful the wedding was and loved the venue.
Mount Palomar Winery is beautiful, we loved the privacy of this outdoor venue!! The staff was amazing and they made the entire planning process so easy!!
My wife and I recently got married at Mount Palomar Winery! It was September 2nd, Labor Day weekend. Aside from the fact that the temp that day was 105 degrees, the day and events were absolutely beautiful. Guests had a great time and we were told we set the bar really high.
Lauren and Sandy did a great job. Wedding planning can be a stressful event in itself, but they did their best to make your life as easy as possible on that front. You're pretty much just worrying about your vendors like DJ, photographer, cake, etc.
The whole venue is stunning. The ceremony site is beyond beautiful, next to the vines. We had our reception in the barrel room and it was fantastic. The lighting was beautiful. Everyone was blown away by the location. We had about 105 people in our wedding, which fit perfectly in this space with plenty of room to dance. The food was also fantastic. I've never had wedding food I enjoyed and this meal was exceptional (and obviously the wine is delicious). The guests all said the same thing. The great food and cool barrel room created such a fun atmosphere, combined with a great DJ, people were literally dancing on chairs. It was a fun night.
Thanks to Mount Palomar and their staff for assisting in making our day amazing. I recommend this venue to anyone!
So glad we chose Mount Palomar Winery for our wedding! It was so nice to have Lauren there who is so experienced with weddings and thought of all the tiny details that we didn't even think of! She went over everything with us in advance so we felt at ease and didn't have any extra stress! All the staff was very professional and our big day went perfect!!! Oh, and of course you can't beat the amazing views and wine ☺
Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula CA was absolutely wonderful for our July 1st wedding. Lauren, the wedding coordinator, was so caring and and organized, that I never had one worry once our wedding day arrived. We have received endless compliments about the beauty of Mount Palomar landscaping along with how awesome the staff was. If you are looking for a dream vineyard wedding, Mount Palomar Winery is your place!
We got married here in 2017 and it was the best experience that we could have hoped for! The staff went above and beyond for us and treated us like royalty! A lot of our guests said that our wedding here was one of the best they have ever been to! Also, the suggested vendors that the winery provided were all amazing! The staff is great and all of the perks are amazing as well! We could not thank Mout Palomar Winery enough for all of their help and support and we hope to be back agin soon! We are so thankful that we picked this place for our wedding day!

We fell in love with this venue as soon as we first laid eyes on its beautiful grounds. We looked at some other wineries in Temecula, but nothing compared. The aisle walkway to the ceremony site is beyond stunning. I originally wanted to do our reception in the barrel room, but my husband chose the beautiful outdoor venue and it did not disappoint. We had the best day ever, highly recommended!
WOW! My husband and I are from Milwaukee, WI and we knew we wanted a wedding in a vineyard in California. After the multitude of questions I sent to various venues, we had it narrowed down to 2 locations and decided to take a quick 36 hour trip out to Temecula 13 months before our wedding. We knew we wanted to get married on our 8th anniversary (May 15) and both of the venues had that date open still. I contacted each before flying out and asked if we could do a food tasting (we were willing to pay) and see everything in the venue. Mount Palomar went above and beyond in accommodating this. The other venue refused to allow us to do a food tasting and required we fly back out there a few months before the wedding (which was NOT in our budget). I worked with Lauren as our coordinator the entire time up to the wedding. She was great! She was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. She even managed to get us a rehearsal on Mother's Day (even though they had events going on). Our day of coordinator that I mostly worked with was Kimberley and she too was fantastic (Sandy was also there, I just didn't have much interaction)! It was a little cooler than normal and we were able to last minute add on heaters for the day of our wedding. On the day of, everything was beyond perfect. All of our guests were even mentioning how great everything was. Our food was awesome too!! Kimberley made sure myself and my husband were doing great throughout the entire evening!!! Everyone was so professional and great to work with. OH and it was a bit windy that day so they even double sided taped all of our decorations! Thank you to all of the Mount Palomar staff who made our wedding everything we could have ever imagined and more!!!!
We had our wedding on April 28, 2017 at beautiful Mount Palomar Winery! My husband and I live in Chula Vista, and traveled to Temecula to seek out the perfect wedding venue back in 2016. After visiting several other wineries, we decided on our first choice! We met with Lauren, who did an excellent job of walking us through the timeline of events, details, and paperwork. We left her office with so much excitement! Our ceremony location, La Bella Vista, was gorgeous! The weather was a perfect 75 degrees with vines and flowers blooming all around us. Our reception location was in the private and charming Aging Barrel Room. The entire staff was accommodating, friendly, and professional throughout the entire day, and even went as far as returning my mother's cherished bracelet that had been found on the dance floor after the reception had ended. Also, a huge shoutout to Lauren's assistant, Cassie, who guided our wedding party and was so patient and professional in dealing with our rowdy groomsmen and loud bridesmaids during the rehearsal and wedding day.
Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the wedding was and how much they enjoyed the food and wine! All in all, my husband and I are extremely pleased and impressed with how our special day turned out, and I will gladly recommend this venue to all of my ladies tying the knot in the near future.
My reason for not giving 5-stars, are for a few rather minut reasons that I feel would be useful for MPW to know in order to ensure that they don't happen in the future--since we live so far away, our business was conducted via email where our questions regarding the wedding would go unanswered for days, sometimes weeks. I understand Lauren is a busy gal and would always get back to me, eventually. Our private dinner tasting experience left us feeling rather agitated since we were given an incorrect address to the tasting location, and after traveling 75 miles, it turns out the place was closed. After calling MPW, they unapologetically informed us that the tasting is actually at the winery. We ended up being almost an hour late, and the food was cool by the time we got there. The food tasting was supposed to be an intimate and private experience but the head food caterer sat right next to us, slumped over in the chair staring at us as we tried to eat. It was uncomfortable to say the least and very awkward. Lastly, we were given a guest table seating chart to fill out before the wedding. We carefully placed our guests at very specific tables for different reasons, but when we entered the room we had noticed the tables and guests were not placed in the proper positions. Our table with elderly guests ended up sitting directly in front of the DJ table, which is what we tried to avoid.
Maybe someone didn't pay attention to our chart when they numbered the tables?
Everything aside from the few hiccups, the catering and staff did an excellent job and I truly believe this place loves what they do, because it shows! I'd love to come back someday for a little wine tasting and reminiscence of the day MPW made so special for us!
Mount Palomar is the most beautiful wedding venue in Temecula. Period.
The sweeping views from the ceremony site are unbeatable and the entire venue is thoughtfully arranged. Lauren, the wedding and events manager, is no-nonsense and highly competent. It was easy to make decisions with her and prepare for the big day.
During the wedding, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and made our guests feel at home. You wouldn't believe how many compliments we received about the venue: "How did you find this place?" "The setting is magical!" My favorite thing was how dreamy the outdoor reception area is at night time with the strings of market lights. Swoon!
And the wine? Top notch. Go for the Meritage, if it's available.
The one area that could use a touch up is the bride and groom suites. Both suites are on the small side (I only had three bridesmaids and we felt cramped) and not very well appointed. Based on everything else about the venue, we had expected the suites to be more luxurious and spacious. Again, this was relatively minor in the grand scheme of things.
Overall, I'm so happy with my decision to have my wedding at Mount Palomar. It was absolutely a night to remember!
I had my dream wedding at Mount Palomar Winery!! Even though it rained on my wedding day, MPW had a plan B. The staff was very accommodating. They had set up two locations to have my ceremony just in case. We had to move to the Barrel Room for our reception but that too was amazing. Sandy and Kimi did such a wonderful job coordinating every little detail. Thank you MPW!! I will never forget how much fun I had on my wedding day. The rain was a true blessing.
Mount Palomar was the PERFECT wedding venue for our special day. All of our guests have commented about how it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely PERFECT. Lauren was so great to work with and made the planning process very easy for us. We were from out of state, and I can honestly say planning our wedding was a breeze with her assistance. You will not find a better venue than this for your special day. Make sure you spend time in the tasting room- the staff is FABULOUS :)
This is one of the best venues I've ever seen in Temecula and I've been to a lot! The winery is located on the highest mountain in all of Temecula so you and your guests can enjoy one of the best views in the area!
Lauren, the Events Manager and our day of coordinator is efficient, friendly, and is quick to respond to any questions we had. Her team at the Winery were also phenomenal! They made our day stress free and well coordinated. I can't thank them enough for making our day perfect!
If you're looking around, I highly recommend checking Mt Palomar- they have great competitive prices and the amenities can't be beat!
We got married in Mount Palomar Winery on April 21, 2017 and I have to say that it was the best time ever. From the tour of the winery, food and wine tasting, final detail appointment, rehearsal and the wedding day itself, we had a great experience. Lauren was so prompt in answering all of my questions (I had a lot) and made sure that I was kept informed. It was a very nice location and all the guests raved about it. The food served on our wedding day was delicious and they were not stingy with the portions. The day of coordinators - Sandy and Kimberly made sure that we had everything we needed that day and that the events flowed smoothly as planned. I would have to say - we did not have any issues the day of and everyone had a great time. Mount Palomar Winery is highly recommended for value, quality and exceptional customer service provided by everyone. Thank you for making the DiMarzio wedding a great experience for our family and friends who came from different parts of the country. I had such a great time that I wish everyday is April 21. Keep up the great work and looking forward to visiting the winery when we can.
