I cannot express my grattitude towards this venue, and I think all brides should consider this venue for their wedding. Let me start off by saying the prices are absolutely incredible, and you cannot beat the venue. The food is great, and definitely gives you an amazing feel to your wedding. There are indoor and outdoor options, and always a back up plan.
Now, I would like to take the time to personally thank the crew, specifically Jared. Jared was beyond amazing. He was there every step of the way and answered every single question I came up with. If I needed anything (including safety pins on the day of my wedding) he was there with it. Not only was Jared the absolute BEST coordinator a bride could ask for, but he was attentive and made sure that the whole day went perfectly. Not only did Jared go out of his way for the best day possible, but the crew did as well. They were extremely attentive to all of my guests, and not just me (which is a big deal to me!). They also lifted my immobile mother up the stairs in order to get her to the ceremony spot. They checked in on her every step of the way and made sure she could enjoy the wedding as well.
The views are incredible, you get the best coordinator and all at a VERY affordable price. I can't recommend this venue enough.
We used Mount Washington Cruises to rent out the Doris E for our rehearsal dinner. I cannot express how amazing everyone was to work with. Rebecca was my main point of contact during planning. She was so quick to respond to e-mails and made everything run so smoothly. The crew on the boat was amazing. The cruise was perfect and we had beautiful views, the caterer for the night was so kind and helpful. This was easily the one of the best parts of our wedding weekend!
Really good for the price. This would be a good option if you're trying to be simple for your wedding, but still want the basics and a memorable time. I did a Saturday cruise for 125 people that included dinner and cheese and cracker appetizers. I added the cruise-recommended DJ (Bob Cormier - who actually didn't really play the songs I had requested, but at least people did dance). I also added appetizers and money towards the bar. The ceremony was beautiful on the bow of the boat. You might want to look into decorating it, but it was fine for me. They handled most of the details although they weren't super organized, it got the job done. I did assigned seats, flowers, and programs. All in all it was better than I ever could have dreamed of. I keep getting compliments on how fun the wedding was. People were either dancing or enjoying the beautiful weather outside. I recommend doing any speeches or formal dances as people are still eating. Otherwise, they start to wander the boat.
We hosted our Rehearsal Dinner on the Doris E. and it was simply fantastic. My guests enjoyed seeing Lake Winnipisaukee and the sunset was spectacular. So glad we got to share the experience with our family and friends!
My wife and I celebrated our welcome dinner on the M/S Mount Washington with family and friends the evening before our wedding day last October. We coordinated all of the logistics for the event with Samantha Limoges, who was a true pleasure to work with. She was responsive to our every need and provided timely and detailed responses to the various questions we had as we planned the event. She even arranged to show us the rooms on the ship during a visit prior to our wedding weekend, and she helped accommodate our specific table layout and video projector requests. The cruise itself was a big hit with our guests - the boarding and greeting process was facilitated smoothly, and the crew members were very welcoming. The buffet dinner offered solid selections, and the open bar service was great. We thank the Mount Washington Cruises team for the delightful evening that they arranged for us, and we give them our highest recommendation for any special event!
The minute the groom heard the Mount Washington Cruise was an option, his mind was made up! Chris and Samantha were helpful, responsive and flexible, and Carol, who we initially met with, was also friendly and responsive to our questions. We were a small group (under 60) and we reserved the Captain's Lounge for our reception, with the ceremony taking place on the boat prior to the dinner cruise departing. Captain Leo performed the ceremony and was flexible as far as us wanting to hold the ceremony on the bow of the boat, and wanting just a simple civil ceremony. The food was fantastic! We had chosen chef carved roast beef but they upgraded us to prime rib at no charge as the buffet dinner cruise that evening was also serving prime rib (we also had a chicken dish that was great too)! Guests went up for seconds and thirds on the prime rib, so no one went hungry that night! All the staff was friendly, too. Although there were other people on the boat who were not "our" guests, it was really special to have all these strangers wishing you good luck and congratulating us! (As the bride, having strangers tell you how beautiful you look was really nice too, no bias there)! I hope the evening was a memorable for the guests who bought tickets for the dinner cruise that night and didn't know there was a wedding on board as it was for us!! The room was a little warm, but when the sun came out that day, it got very hot outside (this was not something that was within the boat's control, so I don't hold that against them in anyway, just something for a potential bride/groom to consider as we had not thought about that). The night was perfect and the sunset was beautiful. It was also great that guests could dance in either of the lounges where two different bands were playing, or just lounge on deck, if they so choose. Feedback from our guests was that everyone had a great time, not too long, not too short (3 hour cruise), but just right! I was surprised at how many people (despite everyone being from NH) had NEVER been on the Mount Washington Cruise before! Lake Winnipesaukee is a beautiful lake and the crew went above and beyond in helping to make our day very special! Thank you!
I was really nervous of how my wedding would be, I planned it all from 1500 miles away! I had been on a few of the cruises growing up, but never for a wedding. I didn't get to see the room that I had booked until my rehearsal, but I couldn't have had it turn out any better! All of my guests seemed to have a great time as well! This really was the best day of my life! I had a wonderful time, and didn't have to worry about a thing!
The staff at the Mt. Washington Cruise is amazing! They were so helpful in all my wedding planning and accommodating to any and all requests I had. I would highly recommend them for weddings and any other functions as well.
