First, the positives: good dress selection and very reasonably priced. The ladies at Mr. Tuxedo were very nice and accommodating. I know they really wanted a sale the first time I went, but I wanted to return with my mother, and they were under...standing.
The negatives: First, they purchased a petite sized dress for me without asking. Thankfully, this DID workout, however, this was a huge gamble and could have potentially been very costly.
The biggest negative for Mr. Tuxedo is the lady who does alterations. I came for my second fitting, and only minor alterations were done (had cups put in, and they put in two darts down the sides to "take it in"). At my 10 minute fitting, I had to pull up my strapless dress multiple times, and I voiced concern that I could see the cups. I was told that "no one can see that" and "don't lose any weight and you'll be fine." I took the dress home that day, and found another alterations place closer to home. I had to have the dress taken in 3 inches at the bust and 2 inches at the waist!! They also had to take out and replace the cups because you could see them. So, clearly it did not fit well!
So, in conclusion, good place to purchase your dress, but take it elsewhere for alterations.
