MS Events did the rentals for our wedding. Everything arrived on time and was dealt with professionally. We enjoyed visiting the showroom and being able to sample combinations before making our choices. We would definitely recommend MS Events
Everything we ordered for our wedding arrived on time, was clean and lovely, and matched the images on the website. The staff were super helpful in allowing us to change our order drastically after a last minute change from family style to buffet catering. Super smooth process and great communication!
We used MS Events for our wedding indirectly through our caterer, The Local. While we didn't have to work with MS Events directly, I was very happy with the selection and everything seemed to go smoothly!
All of the options that MS Events provided were great and made it so difficult for us to make choices. Once I saw everything come together at the reception, I was in awe. They were so helpful! I would recommend them to anyone in the Charlottesville area.
MS Events is the best rental company in the Charlottesville area. Throughout the entire planning process, Kylie was flexible, and communicative to make my vision a reality. I also visited the show room and we worked together to create exactly what I wanted for my big day. They have SO much you can choose from and are so helpful! I would highly recommend!!

MS Events had a beautiful selection that fit every need for my wedding. Our rentals from MS created a beautiful atmosphere in our reception from start to finish, as well as at our rehearsal dinner. They were able to drop off our items for both events at one time to cut down on cost and give us extra time to check in wedding day items. When a few things were missing from our delivery, I was able to quickly get hold of Linda on the phone and she corrected the problem within the next day. Thank you all so much for your help!
We had a lovely 60 person backyard wedding with the assistance of MS Events. Our initial showroom appointment was helpful and thorough, with well-organized quotes to compare between. We wanted simple, chic, rental items from their inventory, and MS Events delivered on all fronts! Their delivery and pick-up crew did not arrive in the timeline mentioned on our contract, but I know there have been staffing shortages everywhere and that didn’t really effect the success of the weekend so 5 stars all the same! Communication was excellent, and whenever I had a question it was quickly answered. I would definitely recommend MS Events to any bride in the Charlottesville area!
MS Events had a large selection of items to choose from and were very responsive during the whole process. They were certainly one of the best rental options we encountered for our Staunton VA wedding.
While we only briefly worked with them directly, when we went in to their showroom, my husband and I had such a great time and great experience picking things for our reception. Their choices were quality and being able to visualize an actual table set up in front of you made it so much easier to make decisions. they were also extremely helpful with last minute additions and removals when the weather suddenly turned chill and we needed heating lamps. They were so flexible and on point and we are so thankful they were able to work with us when critical issues arose.

All of the linens from MS Events were beautiful, and they had a great selection. On our wedding day, everything from the special cups we had picked out for our sweetheart table to the napkin at our cake table were perfect.
Our only constructive criticism would be to find some new sweetheart tables! Their options were too rustic for us, so we elected to purchase our own.
We had our wedding at an unconventional, essentially DIY venue - it was on private property where a wedding had never been held before! That said, we needed all sorts of rentals - from tables and chairs to china and flatware, and MS Events had quite the selection! It was nice being able to gather all of our rentals from one vendor rather than seeking out 2 or 3 to work with. Thank you MS Events!
We rented from MS Events everything from the china to the dance floor for our wedding and had a great experience! They have a wide selection of items to rent and we were able to visit their showroom to check out their entire inventory. We were also able to set up tables to see how everything would look together which was nice!
As a Charlottesville native, I knew MS Events was the place to go for rentals, especially for weddings. We rented several gorgeous farm tables and a large gold mirror, among other bits and bobs. They were great to work with as we sorted out exactly what we needed for the big day. Plus, since we live locally, they were generous enough to let us take the mirror a few days early so we had time to work on our welcome sign! I can't say enough good things.
We used MS Events for the lighting at our wedding and they were great! Very professional and easy to work with - and the lights on the day of looked great!
MS Events had beautiful options and worked closely with us and our caterer to make sure we had the table settings and other rentals we wanted. They have a huge inventory and made the selection process very easy.
We worked with our caterer (C&O) to coordinate our rentals and everything went over smoothly. My wife and I went in early to make some enhancements to our rentals and we received a friendly greeting and hands-on service from their staff.
We used MS Events for all of our rentals! We worked with Beth and she was fantastic!!! She has an amazing eye for design and pairing. She will truly make your place setting designs come true!
MS Events was a pleasure to work with for our wedding day. We rented string lighting to create more warmth in the ceiling of our venue and two chairs for the hora. Callie was a star—she was super responsive to email, helped us weigh many options, and was always kind, detailed, and knowledgeable in our communications. This service was especially impressive because I later saw Callie’s last name changed on her email; she was planning her own wedding and managing that stress all the while making me feel like the most important bride in the world. I am so thankful that we partnered with Callie and MS Events for our wedding; they truly helped make our day magical.
MS events treated us terribly after the wedding. They took 3 of our lanterns with them at rental pickup asserting they were rentals (confirmed by the venue representative). I called immediately after the wedding to recover the lanterns and was ignored for 2 full months before finally getting in contact with the manager. They denied taking the lanterns and refused to reimburse me for them. I felt completely taken advantage of and would not recommend working with them!!
MS was easy to work with, punctual, and flexible with changes I had to make. The chairs were beautiful! Thank you again!
We loved working with MS events to provide all of our rentals. We ordered tables, chairs, plates, cutlery, glasses, kitchen equipment, serving trays, easels, you-name-it from MS and were thrilled with the quality of all of them. Their showroom is a nice big space where you can test out different items and even assemble your own tablescape as you develop ideas. They are very reasonably priced and are definitely the best value in the Charlottesville area. They also have a great working relationship with most of the caterers and planners in town, which makes it much easier for the couple.
An affordable and high quality rental company! I wanted wooden versus plastic chairs at my wedding and was able to rent them from MS Events at the equivalent price to many other companies who only offer plastic chairs at that price point. Highly recommend!
MS Events FORGOT The most important lighting for my wedding day this past Saturday. We called them on Saturday to let them know and I got told they couldn't come back out to bring them. . .then I called monday morning and was told I'd get a call back regarding a refund for the lanterns that NEVER showed up and a resolution for the HUGE inconvenience. . I have yet to hear anything back! VERY disappointed!!!! I paid over $3k to them!
Very easy to work with and accommodating. I was back and forth on a lot of things and my numbers changed a lot and they were very willing to work with me as things changed and adjusted with no problems. Everything was on time and the rentals were great quality. Highly recommend.
We used MS Events to rent 30 white folding chairs at our petite wedding ceremony. Linda was wonderful to work with. The website was clear and easy to use. Pre and post event communication was clear and on point. This is the right way to run any business and made our rental experience 5 stars. I will definitely go to MS Events for all of my future rental needs.
My best friend and I used Ms Events for decorating and supplying heaters at her wedding this weekend. I was her maid of honor and I couldn't believe how unprofessional this company was. I told her to switch vendors but the bride is always right (even if you know better). It took forever for them to respond to her, they were always messing up her payments and they gave her broken heaters so her wedding was beyond COLD! We all tried to smile through it but it was cold in her venue and they did nothing to help her through it. I encouraged her to call the owner. She called him and I heard him say that they weren't in the heater business and it wasn't that much of a disaster. Wow! Talk about insensitive. I would have hung up on him if I was her-he was more worried about her review hurting his business than how his incompetent staff hurt her wedding. I was going to work with them for my upcoming wedding but after all of the headaches they caused her-NO WAY! As the maid of honor; if you want a happy bribe/friend. I suggest you steer away. I think MS Events really means More Stress at your Events, LOL!
Our caterer recommended that we rent linens, place settings, and glassware through MS Events -- and they were great to work with. Flexible, detailed, and communicative. We were shown a wide range of possibilities and they were completely transparent about the relative cost of different items throughout the selection process. With their help, we easily created a "look" that we loved and that reflected our design sensibility. After our initial meeting with MS Events, our caterer worked with them directly, so we didn't have to manage that part of the event. We highly recommend this company!
Linda at MS Events was a big help in making our wedding beautiful! Working within our budget and some fairly specific taste requirements, she helped us create a more beautiful and elegant wedding than we had envisioned. Her service, responsiveness, and helpfulness were extraordinary!
I used MS Events for the rentals and lighting and decor in my wedding. Their selection is amazing and their lighting touches were just beautiful and really made the reception special and romantic!
They had everything I needed and delivered the items the day before without additional charge. Quality of items were perfect, a very professional service they provided for our wedding.
I found Steve and particularly Indigo very easy to work with for table and catering rentals, as well as a photobooth. I came to their showroom on a tight budget, but found that even their lowest cost place settings and linens looked great. I also found them to be more cost effective than our caterer for certain equipment and service rentals (chafing dishes, serving trays, etc.) They provided me with an itemized proposal of each item, and went through multiple iterations to coordinate with our caterer. The photobooth was also a major highlight of the evening and I highly recommend it! Indigo and an assistant manned the booth, and created a wonderful scrapbook of the guest photos – guests also got to keep a set. Their props were a lot of fun, and the photos and scrapbook are priceless. I highly recommend MS Events for cost-effective rentals and an amazing photobooth!
We and our guests loved having the photobooth at our wedding. And it was a great and fun alternative to the traditional guestbook. We are confident we will go back and look at this guestbook far more. And judging by the number of photos, we know the guests loved having this fun alternative at the wedding. Reasonably priced and sure to be a hit at the wedding. And the folks from the company were wonderful and easy to work with. Highly recommend working with them to create a fun wedding!
Steve was wonderful to work with and has the best prices! He is very organized, responsive and provided great recommendations for inexpensive lighting. He provided our reception chairs, dance floor and all the inside lighting (cafe string lights, up lights and dance floor splash) and some outside lighting. The venue was perfectly lighted and he was WAY UNDER the other quotes that we received - over 70% less than another lighting quote - and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Steve and MS Events!
