We rented the Cotillion room for our wedding reception on 12-16-23. It was perfect for about the 35 guests we ended up having. I was worried it wouldnt be big enough but it was perfect. Everyone raved about the food and the staff was friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this space for anyone having a smaller wedding.
Fabulous service and the venue was second to none. We used the Seance Lounge and the small private room. Fantastic.
Wedding was held her for an intimate reception! It was stunning! The staff was so wonderful and the ambiance was so breathtaking! An absolutely spectacular experience we’ll remember for the rest of our lives!
We had our rehearsal dinner at Muriel’s, and it was a wonderful experience. From the beginning, Lorie was responsive and helpful. She made the planning process extremely easy and ensured that everything was just as we wanted it to be. On the night of our rehearsal dinner, we had happy hour and passed hors d’oeuvres in the Seance Lounge, and everyone commented that it was a fun and unique experience. We had about 40 guests, and everyone fit comfortably in the Little Gem room for dinner. Lorie and her team made sure that we had high chairs placed at specific tables and that one table had plenty of space for a large wheelchair to maneuver in and out. They were extremely accommodating to our handicapped guest, which was a major concern of ours beforehand. The food was amazing. Everyone raved about it, even those who had dined there many times before. And it was nice to have the balcony overlooking Jackson Square available to us so people could step out and enjoy the view and the night air. We are so glad that we chose Muriel’s for our dinner. We truly couldn’t have had a better experience!
We had our rehearsal dinner at Muriel's last month! The staff was accommodating and easy to work with. They were flexible with our requests (including an impromptu ghost story telling!) and friendly to our guests. Everyone has been raving about the food (especially the Baby Drum)! We are so thankful to have been able to share a fun and memorable evening in a place we love at this unique and historic restaurant!
Erin Key was the absolute best wedding coordinator that I could've asked for. Muriel's was the perfect venue for our small intimate wedding of 24 people. We got married on the balcony on December 29, 2017 everything still decorated from the Christmas holiday and it was so perfectly beautiful. Erin was so very organised and had everything laid out and planned for the big day! The food, drinks, and service were impeccable all five star, all of our family and friends were blown away by everything. It was truly the best night of our lives and we are so very grateful for Erin Key and the staff at Muriel's for making our special day absolutely perfect!!
Wow! Absolutely perfect! The venue is beautiful. It was the perfect size for wedding of 100 people. We had space for food, seating, and dancing. You can't beat the view of jackson square from the balcony. The food was perfect! the service was outstanding. Erin took care of everything! You did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. As soon as we arrived, my husband and I had two drinks waiting and a private area for us to enjoy eating and being alone while our guests had drinks and food waiting. It was perfect. Adam was our waiter and wow! He was there for us whether we needed a drink, a cold rag, something from our belongins, or a water. He was always there when we needed him! The rest of the staff were amazing! They had such a great time with us which made the wedding perfect! I would highly recommend a reception at Muriel's. It was unforgettable. Since I live outside of NOLA, all of my out of town guests want to get married in NOLA!
My husband and I had the best night of our lives at our reception at Muriel's. Apparently all 250 of our guests did too because everyone raved about the food and fun for weeks. We had a tarot card reader in the seance lounge and a DJ in one of the ballrooms, and it was an absolute blast. An extra perk (if it's nice weather) is the huge balcony..all of our out of town guests especially enjoyed that part! 10/10 would absolutely recommend for a super fun reception.
If your looking for a reception venue I 100% recommend Muriel's. My wedding reception at Muriel's was AMAZING!! All of our guest raved about how delicious the food was. Everyone said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding reception. The staff was very attentive and checked all night to see if I needed anything. Our wedding coordinator, Erin Costello, was a pleasure to work with. She was very helpful throughout the whole planning process and she made sure everything was perfect for my reception.
Absolutely lovely! It was completely perfect for our special day. Laura Ponoroff, our Planner was amazing. She was so incredibly helpful in answering all my questions, and was quick in communicating with me to make plans. We couldn't have asked for better service from Laura, or her staff on our wedding day! Venue is gorgeous, the food was amazing Thank you for a perfect day!
If you are looking for an amazing New Orleans location for your wedding GO TO MURIEL'S. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff is top notch. You cannot go wrong with Muriel's. The second floor, where we had our ceremony and reception, has a wrap around balcony that offers a perfect view of Jackson Square which is treat for you and your guests.
I had my wedding reception at Muriel's last Friday. Laura, the event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with and incredibly helpful. She is the best. The day of the event, the space looked amazing. The staff at Muriels the day of my wedding went above and beyond what I thought was possible to make sure the evening went at smoothly as possible. Adam was amazing too. He was a mind reader and what ever I needed he had in a second.
The food was also the best wedding food I or any of my guests have ever had.

We loved having our ceremony and reception at Muriel's. The ceremony was on the balcony and reception in the Cotillion Room. The food and drinks were delicious.. All of our guests were raving about the bread pudding! Also, our event coordinators and all of the Muriel's staff were great to work.
Beautiful historic venue! No need for much in the way of decorations because the restaurant is gorgeous. The food was wonderful! Our guests raved about it. And the staff was wonderful to work with, so helpful and accommodating! We held our daughters destination wedding reception here and we couldn't be more pleased. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend.

I am so glad that I chose Muriel's for my reception. Maria, the event coordinator, was wonderful to work with. The food was AMAZING! My guests are still talking about how good those goat cheese crepes were! Service was exceptional as well!

Excellent food, service and location
Muriel's was fantastic. We had drinks in the Seance Room and our reception in The Plantation Room. The food and drink were phenomenal and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be back.
I loved my reception. Muriels is very over-decorated, so it was not necessary (and would have been excessive) to go nuts with flowers/decorations. There is a room with a chandeleir that they used to light individual candles on. That policy changed in the weeks before my wedding, so now they use fake candles. That would be my one negative note (and it's certainly not anything I had noticed). The coordinator was very patient and accomodating. Food was great.
I had my bridesmaids luncheon at Muriel's the day before the wedding. The food is delicious and you can make your own menu when you rent out your own room. It's especially nice being such a historical place in New Orleans and in a great location.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Muriel's and it ended up being beautiful. We had some difficulty with the event manager at first, but I think she's left the restaurant. After that everything was great. The food is fabulous and you can't beat the location.
