Tamara makes the most gorgeous desserts, inside and out. Not only did our wedding cake and cupcake display look beautiful, but they tasted incredible, too. Her decorative touches with fresh florals and fruits were especially appreciated.
Tamara has been amazing from the start! When we had our cake tastings, we were immediately amazed with the red velvet cake which was not too sweet and very moist! Even the passion fruit flavor was amazing in its own way! She was able to make our cake inspiration come true and it was beautifully made! She was easy to talk to, attentive to our needs, and you can immediately tell that she really cared when baking those cakes and making them very detailed and delicious! All of our wedding guests loved the cake!
Tamara Brown of Mwokaji Cakery was so great! She worked with our schedule and met us in LA at a meeting point during our trip to CA (we live out of state) for our taste testing. Through prior communication, we had explained our vision and our budget. Tamara showed up to the taste testing with the most amazingly delicious treats! We chose mini lemon cupcakes, mini pink champagne cupcakes, peanut butter cheesecake bites, and strawberry shortcake shooters. We were so impressed with his delicious each treat was and couldn't wait to work with Tamara for our wedding. We also decided on a 6 inch vanilla cake for cutting purposes and that too was so tasty! Tamara also worked with me on a surprise groom's cake and was able to work with my budget. Tamara ensured that our treats/cake were set up in a beautiful display the day of the wedding and even let us borrow a cake stand! We highly recommend Tamara for any of your sweet treats/cake needs!
Chef Breezee did an AMAZING job with my cake buffet. At my wedding reception, I had a tired chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse and swiss buttercream icing, a naked red velvet cake with cream cheese icing topped with fresh berries, pecans and caramel, a vanilla sponge cake with lemon mousse and strawberries, mini carrot cake cupcakes, mini chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream frosting, and mini fruit tarts. Everything was presented beautifully. My guests LOVED it!
I got a lot of raves over the texture and flavors. The tart of the blackberries with the red velvet cake and the sweet of the caramel combine to become my new favorite cake ever! The texture is good, and the cake and icings aren't sugary. Mwokaji is between American and Asian levels of sweetness (if you're familiar with Asian bakeries). My Aunt even ordered two cakes from Chef Breezee for Thanksgiving and they were just as delectable!
