Francaise with Lemon Caper Cream and Bistro Steak with Shallot Port Reduction, accompanied by perfectly cooked Grilled Broccolini and Smashed Redskin Potatoes with Garlic Butter. Every bite was delicious, and even our picky family members devoured their meals, saying it was the best they’d ever had. Our guests continue to rave about the food—so much so that some are begging for the chicken recipe! The hors d’oeuvres were equally amazing. We loved having a tray set aside just for us during cocktail hour, featuring Italian Sausage Cherry Pepper Poppers, Mini Crab Cakes with Cajun Remoulade, Tuscan Skewers, and Rustic Pistachio Crostini with Whipped Ricotta and Orange Marmalade. And the perks of being the bride? I got my own special meal! I had been looking forward to it as the wedding day approached—Chilean Sea Bass with Citrus Cream Beurre Blanc, Orzo tossed with Herbs and Roasted Garlic, and a Grilled Vegetable Melange (Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Red and Green Peppers tossed with Grill Seasonings). I just wish my wedding nerves allowed me to savor it fully! The dessert table completely wowed our guests—they discovered the entire finger sweets table and couldn’t stop raving about it. Every detail, from presentation to flavor, was perfect. The service was exceptional. Jaime and the entire staff were kind, attentive, and continuously checked on us throughout the night, making sure we were comfortable and everything was running smoothly. They even contributed to our table scapes, adding finishing touches like folding our napkins into gorgeous “flower” designs that perfectly complemented the décor. Overall, working with My Chef was seamless, stress-free, and truly enjoyable. Jaime is incredible, professional, and such a joy to collaborate with. We cannot recommend My Chef enough for anyone looking for amazing food, impeccable service, and a team that will go above and beyond to make your day perfect!

needed help with anything, she got back to us so quickly which made the planning process much less stressful. She really worked with us to make sure that we were accommodated because we live out of state and weren't sure when we would be able to come to town for a tasting. Their pricing was also really competitive with other caterers we reached out to, which definitely helped seal the deal for us. At the tasting we tried SO MANY items and were stuffed by the end of it. For the items we chose, she also took notes on the changes we wanted, like wanting an item to be spicier, and on wedding day they definitely delivered on our requests. We also decided to have a dessert bar that wasn't through them at all except for us needing them to rent an ice shaver/crusher, and this was very easy to coordinate as well. On wedding day, all of the staff was incredible. They made sure we (the bride and groom) got an entire platter of hors d'oeuvres in the bridal suite since we wouldn't be at cocktail hour, and at dinner they made up our plates from the buffet as well so that we wouldn't have to go to the line. When I asked guests how they liked dinner, they all said they loved it and the hors d'oeuvres. The rest of the night was a bit of a blur for me since I was partying, but the tea/coffee station, dessert bar, and late-night snack all made it out and people enjoyed them all too. As a funny (but still helpful note) the week before our wedding, we attended another wedding that they catered too which was plated instead of buffet, and they did a great job with that as well, so I can recommend them for either service.

They were kind enough to set aside some of the appetizers for my husband and I, along with my sister who had to step out during cocktail hour. And the food.... wow. I dont think ive ever tasted food that great! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about everything! Even my husbands picky brother in law enjoyed it! We did the dual entrée buffet and it was more than enough for everyone! I wish I wasn't so busy soaking up every moment of the day to enjoy it even more! ith my many questions and requests throughout!  Excellent communication!  The day of the wedding all we heard repeatedly was how amazing the food was, from the stellar apps (chicken &waffle app was 10/10), to the main dinner!  So many comments like “Ive never had wedding food this good!” and “This caterer is awesome!” were heard all night.   The service staff did an incredible job as well during the dinner service.  I cannot give a more glowing and deserved review!

So many of our guests raved not only about the food, but about the whole My Chef team and the experience they provided. We had more than one of our guests tell us this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding or any catered event! The passed appetizers during cocktail hour made several passes through all our guests - no section of the venue was left unattended. We elected plated meals with wine service for dinner and the flow of it all was perfect - truly everything My Chef had a hand in was seamless. Can't recommend them enough to anyone getting married in the Chicagoland area!!

It’s hard to trust caterers that know what they are doing plus the food tasting good, but my chef catering did just that. The brisket and Tuscan chicken were to die for! From hors d’oeuvres to dessert, the meals truly were restaurant quality. We received so many compliments from guests that our food was some of the wedding food that they have had.

matter how obvious the answer was lol. The day of the wedding, MyChef arrived on time, set up all the linens, and did an amazing job passing out the hors d’oeuvres as well as leading the buffet. Kenny personally brought my husband and I plates of food from both the cocktail hour and the actual dinner service to ensure that we were able to eat without getting caught up in conversations with our guests. The guests RAVED about our dessert station- especially the Oreo balls! I’m hoping that I attend another event catered by MyChef just so I can get another taste :)

One of the workers in particular made sure to get us a platter of the hor d'oeuvres while we were taking pictures and got us another platter at our table during the reception to make sure we got a chance to try everything. We had 3 appetizers, an omelet station, a ham carving station, a salad, lemon blueberry french toast, and potatoes for 80 people, and it was about $9000, which was expensive but so delicious!

We also had a lot of allergies in our party and they took those all very seriously, putting everyone at ease that they would be able to enjoy themselves without worry. Everyone wants great wedding food, and we were hoping for guests to be happy with My Chef. They blew it out of the park. We had so many guests talk about loving their food (100% get the Eggplant Parmigiana Napolean, it was amazing and our guests are still raving about it), but they continued to talk about even the focaccia bread served with dinner. Also a big shoutout to their desserts, our guests loved them, especially the key lime tartlets. Working with their bartenders was super easy! We had brought in alcohol from an external vendor and they took care of absolutely everything. The whole team was super professional and kind. Special shoutout to Jamie and Mary for their excellent coordination. Looking forward to hiring you for dinners in the future!

We heard all night how incredible the food was- members of the wedding party went on a hunt for some of the hors d’oeuvres and they were so popular that they had to work as a team to get what they wanted before they were snatched up. The entrees were incredible, the late night snacks were a hit, and the coffee bar had extra touches that gave the whole experience such personality and elevated the whole dessert table to another level. On top of that, that staff was absolutely wonderful to have at our wedding. The servers were so professional and speedy, and Andrew was so present and involved all night, not only checking in with my husband and I and making sure we didn’t miss out on anything and hearing our concerns, but also making sure he sought out my mother and other members of the family who could make executive decisions so that we could enjoy ourselves throughout the night as well. They were even able to make some unexpected last minute adjustments for certain guest with dietary restrictions that were unexpected- and while we certainly had no expectations of them to adjust so last minute, the fact that they were able to accommodate our guests was such a lovely touch to our night. We had one comment that really stood out- one of our groomsmen said that they paid twice as much money as we did for the food as his wedding, and it wasn’t even half as good. That probably sums up our entire experience- worth every single penny that we spent and beyond. We really can’t recommend working with MyChef enough, and we’re so thrilled we chose them for our wedding!

sweet and kind, and made the experience 100x better! I really loved the pear salad but we ultimately decided on the caesar salad for our guests as it’s more universal. Susan went out of her way to bring one pear salad to our wedding for me and it was the kindest gesture. The apps we chose were so good, all of our guests kept complimenting all of them. We had chosen Mac n cheese bites (guest favorite), stuffed mini peppers (my favorite), stuffed mushrooms and these stuffed cheese balls. The staff was great with getting all of these passed out before dinner. We splurged extra to get the filet medallions and vodka chicken, but it was so worth it! All the food was fresh when served and tasted the exact same from when we tried it at the tasting. Susan was a great communicator and she added three gluten free meals one day prior to the wedding for a few guests. Susan and the My Chef crew made our wedding go seamless and she was even there during the event to check on everything. If you need a sign to choose this caterer, this should be it!
