Because she is sooo professional, warm, friendly, CALM and knowledgeable she empowered my wife and I to completely relax (not easy) and have the best time ever. There were some last minute adjustments we were able to make collaboratively - it thunderstormed at 2pm the day of the wedding, the weather report said it would rain hard again at 6pm and we had an outdoor ceremony that was supposed to start at 5:30pm - because she had built up so much trust from our first call during the month of coordination, to the rehearsal the day before, to waiting for just the right moment before telling me and my parents it was "go time" to walk down the aisle during the processional on the actual big day. And she made the right call to stick with Plan A, the outside ceremony AND IT DIDN'T RAIN!!! The smartest, most impactful decision Kelly and I made throughout the entire wedding planning process was getting Kaylene and My House to run both of our events.

f the food and tastings. Our wedding initially was scheduled for March 2020, and MyHouseEvents was amazing and flexible with navigating those early, confusing COVIDtimes. The whole staff remained incredibly helpful and positive even during that difficult time. If I have any regrets, it's that we only booked them for food and not the whole the wedding coordination, which I know they would be great at.

Our planner, Kaylene (My House Events), was a ROCKSTAR and was there every step of the way through the pandemic, hurricane, etc. I had a million questions and she was always there to answer them and help me navigate all the wedding craziness. Our day ended up being pretty perfect and MHE definitely helped make that happen. Kaylene was so great and I felt like I had a friend supporting me and running the show on my big day. Not only did they help us choose our venue but they had the vision and knowledge of how to make everything work in that space and within our budget. As our wedding was pandemic-postponed, we had the opportunity to work with several members of the staff and each one was super friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and personable. We were absolutely thrilled with Kaylene, who went above and beyond to accommodate our quirky requests. When I mentioned that I wanted a "signature wedding scent," she didn't bat an eye - in fact, she helped me source candles and room sprays that turned into a wonderful souvenir. MHS coordinated us having a "cake" of wheels of cheese that was magically transformed into a cheeseboard. It was beautiful and delicious! Our guests can't stop raving about our amazing food from Chef Chris, they couldn't believe that most of it was vegan. MHS also effortlessly coordinated an oyster bar and late night pizza so there was nonstop eating. We are so grateful for the best wedding present ever - not having to stress.

We wanted fun, eclectic options to share the best of NOLA with our friends and family, and we are still getting compliments on the menu two weeks later. We were so happy with how everything turned out with our buffet and late night pizza delivery :) And for coordination, Kaylene was our hero! She covered every detail and made sure everything fell into place. I felt so lucky to have her in the weeks leading up to the event, both for logistics and for her great insight/advice as some last minute changes came our way. I can't say enough about this team. , and BBQ. We also wanted to be able to purchase the alcohol ourselves (we have very specific preferences) but needed professional bartending staff, mixers, ice, etc. provided. MyHouse was able to arrange for everything we wanted while being just lovely to work with. We particularly loved the food tastings all over the city and appreciated the opportunity to support small businesses and vendors who are women and people of color. All of our guest raved about the food, which was delicious! The staff was also fantastic. Their bartending specialists helped me come up with the cocktail list and to determine how much to buy. There was never more than one person in line and the drinks were great. They bussed everything as the event went on, kept us on-schedule, and cleaned up quickly and thoroughly once our wedding was over. I would absolutely use them again for another event.

Seriously - we couldn't do much on details because of trial schedules so she and my mom basically planned everything and we just showed up on the big day and had the time of our lives! During the reception, Danielle even prepared plates for our two kids who were so hungry they couldn't wait for the food to be served and fixed their tacos the way they requested. She was incredible and I would recommend her to every engaged couple I know or business looking to host a great, stress-free event!

The team seamlessly made adjustments to their usual timeline to accommodate our needs, and put together concrete options within a few days. I met virtually with Kelsey, Danielle, and Katherine the following week to clarify any details, and they reassured me with my options in case the impending hurricane changed our plans again. Thankfully, the weather turned out beautifully, and we were able to have our outdoor wedding reception with food trucks curated by MHE. Guests commented all evening about how much they enjoyed the food! The whole MHE team was professional and prompt, and provided a personalized touch that made us feel extra special on our special day! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with them!!!

They were patient with our indecisiveness about food and helped us find our perfect menu with Elysian Seafoods (guests loved it!). We requested two separate tastings and they thought nothing of it. For the six months leading up to the wedding, we were living abroad. They maintained excellent communication and put our mind at ease. In the month leading up to and the day of, Katherine made sure everything went off without a hitch. It was perfect!

In my first conversation with Danielle, I anticipated us coming to a decision between the two styles of food - instead, she encouraged us to run with it. The chefs put together a menu filled with jambalaya, po'boys, shrimp and grits, alongside a spread of tacos, Mexican street corn, and Caesar salad. We knew we didn't want to have a cake, and Ruby put together a dreamy combination of cookies and brownies. We absolutely loved the food our chefs made, and received endless compliments from our guests. What I appreciated most about working with My House Events for our catering was how our reception food reflected my husband and me, rather than reflecting the standards and expectations of the wedding industry. My House Events has an innovative and creative approach to catering that is unparalleled by other businesses.

House Events to discuss what type of food we were looking for and our budget. From there, they found us a vendor and sent us a draft of the menu. They worked with us and our vendor so that we were able to fine tune the menu to our exact preferences. We then met with the vendor, tried the food and the rest was history. Our main vendor, Chefs Jennifer and Brandon of Elysian Seafood were outstanding. All of the food was AMAZING!!! My personal favorite was the grits bar (with either grillades or shrimp) and my husband loved the cochon de lait poboys, boudin balls, and bacon wrapped oysters. We also had a STUNNING cheese board provided by Chefs Theresa and Gavin! It was beautifully put together and had a great assortment of cheeses, charcuterie, and breads. To end the night, we had Pizza Delicious deliver late-night pizza (pizza is my husband's favorite food). I wish I had a video of everyone's faces when it got there. It was a HIT! Katherine and Danielle were both amazing throughout the whole process in helping us get what we wanted while staying within our budget. I can honestly say that I think we had the best wedding food I've ever had. People are still raving about it weeks after the wedding and we couldn't be more thrilled. Thank you My House Social for everything!

ted catering for my event of 400, providing 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches (one of them food carts), and coffee and water stations. Three things stood out: 1. Their flexibility in planning - we wanted to do food carts - No problem! not every caterer has the connection or willingness to coordinate food trucks. They also allowed us to be flexible with our numbers, push deadlines to the last minute, and were nothing but accommodating when plans changed multiple times 2. Uniqueness - I was so happy to see a proposal that didn't look like every other catering proposal I had seen. They infuse NOLA culture and support local businesses. At the end of the event, they send out an impact report. Ours told us we had supported 100% women owned businesses! 3. Onsite professionalism - working with the team onsite was my favorite part. They went above and beyond to enhance our event, moving water stations to follow guest movement, working directly with attendees with dietary restrictions, and always checking in to make sure they were support me and my event planners in any way they could I would whole heartedly recommend My House Social for any catering needs.

catered by MHS. We had never seen the venue or met staff but worked together long distance to plan a fun gathering and tasty menu. The result was we were over-the-top pleased! Everyone was incredibly warm & helpful. The atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for, and much more! The food & drinks were excellent. The rain stopped, and we were able to enjoy a twinkle-lit rooftop. It was truly a memorable experience and we are still raving about the joy of being there.

We wanted to save money by doing some simpler food, and MHS is super non-judgmental about meeting your budget limits. Several times I said "please give me the cheapest one" for linens or rentals, etc., and they cheerfully went along. LONG story short, working with My House Social led to a beautiful, smooth running wedding, and everything was far less stressful than it could have been.

Anything that I had envisioned, Danielle made it happen. Our espresso bar and barista staff was a huge hit! Everyone kept raving how much they loved their drinks, from espresso shots to lattes made with oatmeal milk. The main courses and snacks throughout the evening was absolutely perfect too! Everything tasted so good, and many people got seconds! The serving staff at our wedding were so professional. I am still getting comments how perfect everything was during our reception! If I ever need to plan another event, I will definitely use My House Social. I highly suggest you do the same if you want a hassle and stress free event!

iven as a new mother of the bride was to get a Month of Coordinator so that I can enjoy the wedding and reception, and Katherine did not disappoint. A month out, she took over working with all of the vendors for the wedding. She made the day look effortless. She had everything for the day planned down to the minute, starting at 7am that morning (actually the day before with the rehearsal) to the clean up that evening and I didn’t have to worry about any of it. It was an amazing day and I can’t begin to tell you the number of compliments I received about how wonderful everything was and how well things flowed, and it never would have been possible without Katherine and My House Social. With a 22 month engagement, there was lots of time for ideas to change and desire for things to be added. Katherine was able to help us out with all of it. Since the wedding and reception were at Felicity Church, we were able to customize so much, including our catering. With multiple revisions of our dinner and cocktail hour menu, Katherine and Fete Au Fete worked with us to find the perfect menu with a New Orleans flair, but also accommodated our vegetarian and pescatarian guests. Katherine has the patience of a saint. The food was unbelievably amazing and unforgettable! Katherine’s knowledge and expertise provided us with wonderful suggestions and guidance. I cannot recommend My House Social and Katherine highly enough.

It's helpful for brides that their services are customize-able and that they've been utilized in a variety of capacities at our hotels and wedding venues. We hadn't ever had the chance to try either truck before our big day, and both trucks blew our expectations out of the water! Delicious food and very friendly service! Additionally, I have some dietary restrictions, and both trucks worked with MHS to make sure there were options for me, and for any of our guests that have special dietary needs. The service: MHS was on site for the whole event, and worked with our coordinator to make sure everything was perfect for our us and our guests. I never had to worry about a thing. MHS is professional and very easy to communicate with. They truly made our catering special and exceptional. I would highly recommend working with them if you're looking for a special and curated catering menu! I would also recommend them for their great customer service! Katherine and the MHS team truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great catering service for our big day.

This made things all the more relaxed come wedding day. The food itself was amazing, all our guests could not stop raving about it and we could not have been happier. We also used Danielle for month of coordinating and she organized a taco truck for the day after festivities (tacos were amazing btw). She has a great energy and really helped us stay on track the week and day of the wedding. She also reviewed our booze order line by line with the bartenders, which resulted in a handful of last minute changes and add-ons to ensure we had more than enough. This was incredibly helpful as we knew things would carry on late into the evening....and we did not want to run out of booze! Thank you Danielle and team for all your support and for making our wedding such a memorable event. Finding My House Social was a blessing and I highly recommend them to others planning a New Orleans wedding.

in the planning process. We ended up parting ways with our original planner, and hired MHS late in the planning stages. But again, they delivered and executed as promised. Katherine was our main point of contact, and she was exactly what we needed -- smart, calm, tactful and effective. MHS helped us with both our Welcome Reception at the Melrose Mansion and our Wedding Ceremony/Reception at the Jaxson. They worked through all of the 'difficulties' and vendor issues, without missing a step. Their vendor recommendations were all spot on, even though it took us time to get on board with their suggestions. Trust your wedding planners -- in this case, MHS, and let go of the stress. If you are planning a NOLA wedding from out of the area, we highly recommend at least one visit in advance to meet all of your vendors. Relationship building leads to accountability. Having said that, we only met the MHS team a few days in advance of our wedding, but they were accountable and responsive to our needs. Again.... biggest regret -- Not bringing them on earlier. They were worth every penny, and we would have paid double in hindsight. p+m

anks to Katherine and My House Social... Mission accomplished!! It is so important to have boots on the ground to help navigate wedding planning from far away. I didn’t want a hotel ballroom, chicken or fish, turn and burn wedding. With MHS we were able to create a kitchen where there was none and bring in the best people to make the meal of our wedding dreams! I admit it’s super annoying in 2018 with vegan, vegetarian, gluten, everyone seems to have a restriction (ugh). But it was important to us that there was food for everyone, and oh man, people are still texting me about those artichoke Rockefeller! @feteaufete sleighed it with the food! And I highly recommend their booth at the St. Roche market! I did the ‘month of’ coordination which at the time seemed like too much money. But, to be able to hand over all of your vendor contracts, permits, pictures of receipts to things you bought and just expect to show up (like 300 little petit four cakes and a palm reader), and have all the little things that went missing over the night of the big event show up at your door the next day.... THIS IS PRICELESS!! Katherine even contacted my bestie so we wouldn’t have to deal with anything the day of. Everything seemed to go off without a hitch. From tents 48 hours before, and yes, the weather will act like a crazy person for your wedding, so be ready. To permits not saying you can have tents, that’s where Katherine’s charm comes into play, I had no idea there was ever an issue. We made a great team and that’s the key to a great wedding! 5 stars aren’t enough for the most memorable and the most delicious wedding ever!
