She recommended a wonderful all-inclusive wedding planner and I was so pleasantly surprised at how well everything went with the planner. Lisa also helped me to reach out to hotels for blocking rooms for our guests and recommending locations for all wedding activities - ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc.

We had our destination wedding in New Orleans and we had no idea where to start with finding specific vendors and hotels. We used myweddinginneworleans.com to organize our hotel blocks and it as so simple! Their services helped take a huge load off my shoulders with planning and I was able to focus on my energies elsewhere while planning. We gave them the information, our budget and roughly the areas we were going to be and they had hotels contact us directly with ready-to-go information that I didn't have to keep repeating over and over to coordinate. It was LOVELY to have the extra piece of mind! Also, because we used a local service like this, hotels offered additional discounts to our guests. It was a win-win!

I have mixed review about this service. I initially had called Lisa with Visit New Orleans to see if I could get some venues to send me their proposals for our wedding. She forgot to do it for 2 months which ultimately ended up pushing our desired wedding date back 2 months. I do appreciate this service, though, because we were able to find our stunning wedding venue (the Intercontinental Hotel's updated ballroom) through their service. Another smaller criticism I have is that Lisa should learn how to spell people's names correctly. Every single email she spelled my name incorrectly (I recognize that it's different and not a normal American name). But when it's literally in front of you in the email signature and email address, spelling someone's name incorrectly that many times is just unacceptable.

This is a great service, especially if you are planning your wedding yourself and just need a little help with some of those outside vendors. My fiance and I have a wedding planner but only for the reception portion and not intended to help us out with everything outside of that. I contacted MyWeddingInNewOrleans to ask for help, and they sent out our information to hotels. New Orleans is booked pretty solid for our wedding weekend so we were having trouble finding good hotels at a good price, but we did get some offers through that were pretty decent. We did not end up finalizing contracts with any of those hotels, as we ended up working with a smaller boutique hotel that gave us a great deal. But had that hotel not come through, we definitely would've ended up signing with one of the hotels that contacted us with a quote. The quotes, admittedly, did not come through super fast (they filtered in over a period of two weeks or so), but that's why we got started early. We also got a pair of complimentary wedding beads through the mail from the New Orleans Wedding website, which was really unexpected and fun. And I believe they offer to put together gift bags for your hotel guests (don't quote me on that, as we haven't used that service yet).

They made it so quick and easy to get hotel room block information. Instead of having to contact the infinite number of hotels in New Orleans, I contacted only New Orleans & Company. They took my info and passed it along to all of the hotels who then contacted me with rates and any specials they offered. Made the planning process so much easier for me! One quick email and done. Such a time saver, and their response time was same day!

We planned a destination wedding to New Orleans. We are from the Northeast and were initially a little overwhelmed and a little anxious as we began the task. Rachel Funnel was so helpful. She provided options for our guests to stay at great properties in the French Quarter and answered questions about the second line band parade, permits and was helpful with venue options based on our criteria as well. Her research helped me save time and directed me to quality vendors who helped make our October 7, 2018 wedding- an event that all 155 guests concluded, was the best wedding they had ever attended. The food, the warm hospitality of the culture, the unique wedding traditions (second line parades through the city) and an exceptional venue created an exceptional experience.
