My guests did not get a chance to see my husband (the groom) and I do our last dance since Ms. Ruby was rushing my guests out the door at 6:30pm but my event was supposed to end at 7pm. The floor plan was not correct that they put the long big table in the middle of the aisle at the reception area. It was in way and should have more room for the dance floor. This venue is well overprice for the service we had received. The DJ hardly play any songs that we requested, even though he had the list in weeks of advance. During the wedding cocktail hour, they would not allowed my guests to come inside and they had to eat their appetizers outside (I did not request this to happened). The guests had to wait outside and some of my guests had left. The catering company complained about not letting them come in early to prepare and cook the food and they had to come 1 hour before the ceremony started. I won’t be using this venue in the future, since it was a lot of miscommunication and disorganization.

d into a real-life fairy tale and a dream come true-birthday party. Since the event, I still close my eyes at night and remember that particular day again like yesterday. I first came in contact with NaKayshions Wedding & Event Center while searching for a venue to renew my wedding vows on The Knot website. Still, after CoVID shut the country down, it was a while before I contacted the owner again. Meanwhile, during the waiting period for the country's reopening, among other things, I was prompted to change the event from a wedding vow renewal to a 60th birthday party. It was indeed one of the best decisions of my life. So after I contacted the venue a second time and spoke to the owner about my plans and what I wanted, I set up an appointment to visit the location. It was my first time at the event center, and when I walked into the venue and looked around, my vision suddenly came to life. At that moment, I knew it was the location I would use for my special day. The journey began first with the price quoted to rent the venue in the range of my budget. I placed my deposit to hold my date and received a receipt for all transactions. If I called with questions, the answers were provided on the spot. The staff was knowledgeable about the business, and any questions answered never disappointed my curiosity, especially anytime communication was necessary regarding my big day. Ms. Shirley and all other staff members, especially the owners, the DJ, and security, worked with me until the event day. It was not just a use of a venue; they treated me like family, and I made new friends. The other vendors I used for my special night could gain access to the event center and set up on time before the event with no problem. Reflecting on the journey, I thought it essential to share that going to the venue to see how the decorations were set up a week and the day before the event took place caused me to tear up; it was so beautiful. Lastly, the night of the event was so special as the staff was there to help me celebrate made it even more special. I can't wait to use the venue again, and I hope you will consider it a choice to hold your special event. I can't guarantee it, but I bet you won't be disappointed.

hions for three full weeks in July. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs in this very demanding event. We loved using the historic chapel for morning lectures. The main hall provided us a spacious arena in which to eat, view films, have plenary discussion, and host special speakers. Thank you, NaKayshions for making this a wonderful launch! ting. I finally spoke to Mrs. Shirley (the decorator) and schedule a date. I rearranged my work schedule to make the appointment. When I arrived I was informed they schedule me for my mock table setup that I didn’t have a chance to look at anything!Luckily they had a setup for a party where the colors were similar and I just added to the design. Food Vendor:Weeks before my wedding of trying to contact the food vendor. I contact Mr.Jackson and he finally setup an appointment for the tasting awesome. We purchased 10 additional chairs to the “Best” package making the total count 60. Some of my guest didn’t have chairs I should’ve had 6 extra chairs available because a family of 6 did not attend. I reviewed my wedding video and only 50 chairs where placed. Both of us are from Michigan so we knew the exact count of our guest.The wedding coordinator: Ms. Ruby was nice but that changed quickly. She was not very organized. I rented 2 flower girl baskets and ring pillow from the venue. She came to ask me where they are! I originally had 2 flower girls but one flower girl and her family of 6 didn’t make it. I had 2 packs of flower girl petals she only used 1/2 of 1 pack!My flowers ran out of flowers halfway down. At the reception there was no assigned sitting she was very rude at telling my guest to move.she once came back and told me that someone didn’t move. My expensive bottle of champagne was not on my table as promised. She didn’t do the mother son dance. At cake cutting time she asked me where my knife was? I rented them from the venue so she had to run around to find them. It was 9pm I was scheduled to take pictures with my outside vendors car (I found he was wonderful). We go out to take pictures while my guest partied. All of a sudden I see a group of people come outside I’m thinking they are watching us but Ms.Ruby told them that we were doing our sparkler send off and told everyone that it was time to go!She was telling people that “they” lock the gates at 10pm. My time slot was from 6pm-10pm she rushed my guest out at9:30pm!On top of that she had my sister and sister-in-law cleaning. I told them the next day that they weren’t supposed to clean. I was outraged!! A clipboard would’ve been helpful instead of asking me what I wanted to do next.STRESSFUL! After my wedding and honeymoon. I called and spoke with Mrs.Jackson about my concerns. She said that even though they provide and recommend the in house vendors listed on the website. That’s their set prices and the owners (Mr and Mrs Jackson) aren’t responsible for any monetary refund for the vendors services. She also offers me 50% off my next event that I would have to book within the next year. My thoughts are if you offer and provide services do not separate ownership from your business when the website list these services under Nakayshion’s not a separate vendors. I was told I had to seek a refund from the coordinator personally and they only apologized for the seating. Oh and bring forks if you have a cake you would think for the cost of the BEST package everything would be provided as I was explained I didn’t have to worry about anything. On the day of Ms. Ruby hid the forks behind the DJ b/c I didn’t bring them!I didn’t know! Venue beautiful but service and customer service not so good.

d Mr. & Mrs. Jackson made sure our wedding was perfect. Our guest is still talking about how beautiful everything was and how DJ Rockboy kept us on our feet. I will recommend this venue to anyone who looking to host any event. Thank you Nakayshions for a job well done.

religious beliefs, don’t waste my time, having me drive an hour to look at a venue that you won’t even host my event at. When I emailed them, I specified that we were a same sex couple, they responded saying they would love to talk about prices! It’s pretty simple to just say unfortunately we don’t accept same sex ceremonies. Instead they had me drive there, then tell me my date was booked( highly doubt it was) .. then give me a tour, tell me the prices and then follow it up with we are Christian based and don’t do same sex marriages, but if you want to do the reception, we can maybe do that. The gentleman was not rude, just disappointed you wasted my time! I would not even think about giving you my “gay” money for a reception lol.

but the Jackson's were sure to oblige in any way possible by going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The actual day of our wedding was spectacular for the most part. Emmanuel was extremely helpful and kept a smile on his face while providing us with exceptional service. There were a few minor details that left us a little less than impressed. The bartender complained to our guest for having to serve the drinks in glassware not plastic as well as to the groom himself. We thought that was slightly tacky considering this was never an issue with the venue who hired them. Also the DJ left us a little bothered for two reasons, we had a special playlist for the wedding that we spent hours getting together. I'm pretty sure he didn't even have it on hand because he played 0 songs from it. The ceremony music and 1st dance song / bride\ father dance was fine. He also didn't announce our best man or maid of honor at the reception or us the newlyweds! And was gone by 10pm when our allotted time was until 11pm. Our last song of the night was played by some staff member who had hooked his phone up to the sound system. Some of our guests felt a little rushed out the door as well. We were asked to start picking up the event space at about 9:40pm to prepare for the last dance that was over an hour away. There were storms that night so that also played a factor, but we definitely did not get the venue to 11pm. Mrs. Ruby was helpful to us too! For the most part she helped keep the flow of things going. The overall experience was fantastic and highly recommend them if looking for an event space in the DFW area! Thanks so much Mr. and Mrs. Jackson for helping create our wedding vision, we can only hope to have our marriage be as successful as you alls!

The decor was in a class all by it self. We received five star service from Tyra throughout the planning process. The owners Mr. & Mrs. Jackson, were very hands on and made sure we were comfortable with our choices no matter how many times I changed my mind or visited them. The character and atmosphere of the Grand Ball Room was breathtaking on the day of our event. The assistance provided by Tyra throughout the entire day was excellent! Tyra communicated with our coordinator and myself to ensure we had EVERYTHING we needed. They truly made our dream come true. Our family and friends had a wonderful time. And most importantly, so did we. A Royal Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Jackson, Tyra and we cannot leave out the DJ Rockboy. we had to cover were the photography, cake, and flowers. We found a photography place, had his aunt who own a cake business do us some amazing cakes for us, and we did the flowers ourselves. We thought it would be too hot to have our wedding outside in June but the day was absolutely amazing. They made sure everything ran smoothly where I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of. The food was delicious and the DJ played songs that all ages could enjoy. I don’t know how many compliments I received from people who attended my wedding about how much they enjoyed every aspect. I would highly recommend Nakayshions for any event. Trust me you won’t be disappointment.

the time our guests arrived, everything was beautiful, and the ceremony went off without a hitch. No one could tell the difference. The ambiance was gorgeous and elegant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and warm. Truly throughout the whole process the Jackson's and the staff felt like family. We had a beautiful New Orleans/Ghana cultural celebration with dancing and a brass band. My guests still rave about the wedding! If I had to do it all over again, I will still choose NaKayshions! Beautiful venue, great price, fabulous people!

I started to get overwhelmed and I remember crying to Mrs. Jackson wanting to give up on the wedding life was starting to get the best of me. But I remember all the advice that was given from her and it made me keep moving ahead. Through it all I knew Naykashions would take care of us and if I could do it all over I would. it was best to book an appointment. We live in garland and it takes us an hour just to get there. We finally get there and they made us fill out with info about our wedding. We do the tour and get back to talk about pricing. She starts talking about what they could offer and a little after that she says, "wait...let me check if we have the day available." WTF! Isnt that what u should have done when we made the appointment!! She comes back and tell me that day is BOOKED. If I will want this venue to pull some strings and MOVE my wedding day!!! Horrible experience I had!! Wasted my time most important!!!! Future brides....MAKE SURE THEY HAVE UR DAY OPEN. So you don't waste your time like I did. When you have so much other things to do!!

From the ease of booking a tour online to my exit out of the door, the staff at NaKayshions really re top notch! Even though I know that they have tons of clients, I really felt as though learning about my event was their top priority. Mr. Jackson started me off with a tour and education about the event space and Ms. Jackson concluded the visit. Both of them had an extensive knowledge about the grounds and the packages that were offered. They were both extremely personable . And for what they offer...can't beat it!
