Choosing Naples Bay Resort for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made! The resort is perfectly designed for an out-of-town wedding, offering a wonderful balance of relaxation and luxury for our guests. We were married just a week after a hurricane, but you’d never know it—the resort team worked tirelessly to make sure everything was back in perfect condition. Jennifer (our planner) was fantastic to work with, and Nicole made sure all scheduling details were handled smoothly. The management was outstanding with communication throughout. While we had a couple of hiccups with the front desk, the overall experience was amazing. If you’re deciding between venues, Naples Bay Resort is the one!
Our son had a destination wedding in Naples and we held a Rehearsal dinner at Naples Bay Resort for 130+ people. We were very nervous because we booked it sight unseen (based on recommendations), and 6 weeks before the event our event planner left and Hurricane Ian hit and flooded the ballroom. The new event planners assured us everything would be rebuilt in time, and that everything would go smoothly as planned. They were true to their word! Some how they reconstructed everything in time and the Rehearsal dinner was fantastic!! Beautiful venue, tasty food, wonderful service. Many of our guests stayed at the Resort and loved all the accommodations as well. Really a lovely place to stay and a beautiful venue for a party – we definitely plan to return! Cocktails were outside on the waterfront patio, and dinner was inside in the ballroom. Just a lovely experience overall - - and we were so very grateful (and in awe) they could pull it all together so beautifully after the devastation of Hurricane Ian.
This is a beautiful venue. Our experience there was horrible. It was so bad it has overshadowed the joyous moments of the day.
My daughter's wedding was rescheduled from 12/20 to 12/21 due to Covid. They were very flexible applied our deposit to the new date. In that time the original chef left and a new one came in. Part of the reason we chose this venue was the quality of the food-my daughter and most of our family are foodies, restaurant owners and caterers. They assured us that they could do the original menu that we tasted and do it well. Two days before the wedding we had a second tasting of one item because we were concerned about the chef being able to execute it. We also went over all of the details. The item was prepared well and I felt comfortable with everyone being on the same page.
It was bad from the start.
The cocktail hour is outside with passed appetizers. During this time the staff finishes setting up the reception area, the band sets up and sound checks, candles are lit, etc.
The signature drink during cocktail hour, a frose, was a slushy, rose-vodka drink. It was undrinkable because the recipe wasn't followed and no one bothered to check how long the machine would take to freeze it. It was barely cold, much less frozen.
We upgraded to the premium bar so we could offer liquor that our family members like. The cocktail hour bar was set up WITHOUT LIQUOR, only serving beer, wine, champagne and the undrinkable frose. I was busy taking pictures and did not know this until 30 minutes later when I tried to order a cocktail and was told by the bartender that liquor wasn't being offered. Imagine my embarrassment that none of the drinks listed on the bar sign we had made were available to guests. NEVER was it discussed to not offer liquor during the cocktail hour. Indeed at our meeting two days before we discussed having an additional bartender for the first 20 minutes so there wouldn't be a long line for drinks.
The remedy at that point was to open the doors to the reception area so people could access the full bar set up inside. And when they did the liquor on the bar was not what was specified in our contract! It took 30-45 minutes for the staff to run around the resort to locate the liquors and the IPA that we were supposed to have.
The doors that were opened were not the original entry doors so people did not pass the escort card table, did not find their seat assignments and did not get the favors we provided. It was chaos. The band was not finished setting up and had not completed their sound check. And on cue, 15 minutes later, maintenance came straight through all of the guests with a huge construction ladder to light the candles on upper shelves.
The music we hired for the outside reception went unheard because everyone was inside trying to get a cocktail.
And then there was the food. Terrible. The risotto dish I tried two days before the wedding was not the same as the tasting. All of the poached eggs on top were hard cooked and the rice was grainy. And the filet mignon. Inedible. The groom's filet was grey throughout and cold as was everyone else's. We had to apologize to our guests for the food.
The venue offered to reimburse us $1500; the difference of the upgraded bar during cocktail hour and $3/head for the for the upgraded meal. I sent an email to the general manager as to why $1500 wasn't acceptable and never heard back. Just got the credit on my card about two weeks later.
Naples Bay Resort is phenomenal!!! We loved every moment and aspect of our stay. The property and rooms are beautiful and the service is presented with perfection. We loved it so much we decided to host our wedding on the property and all of our guests from 40 occupied rooms were delighted with the entire experience and couldn’t compliment the resort and staff enough. Wow! We would not have chosen to have our wedding anywhere else. The attention to detail that the resort provides is impeccable. All of our guests and us felt like we could stay there for weeks. We felt appreciated, we felt safe, even in a covid world, we felt the cleanliness was top notch, and we also had so much fun! You don’t need to go far to get to downtown Naples but truthfully speaking you don’t really want to leave once you are there. The gym is simply gorgeous and the pool areas are as good as any resort we have been to in North American and the Caribbean . Everything from the setup of the resort, the spacious and clean rooms, the staff at check-in to the restaurants to the valet, everything was spot on perfection. I believe the management team truly defines the definition on great hospitality. We will be back and so will our guests! In regards to event planning, you will not be disappointed. There is a beauty to the marina that you cannot find elsewhere and Jennifer will personally make sure that every single detail of your event is perfectly executed. Kudos to Naples Bay! Kudos to the staff!
When trying to find a wedding venue- every resort seemed the same. I walked into Naples Bay Resort and started crying. It was the perfect fancy Florida feel. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, the marina with fountains, colored condos, etc was dreamy and the Pointe for the reception was a modern crisp yet warm room. Our guest all raved about their rooms and the service at NBR. Everything down to the food and bar staff at the pool was great. When it came to the wedding day- the resort staff made sure everything went off without a glitch. The chef is amazing and our guests are still talking about the food. Overall I would highly recommend this venue for any event and will always be a special place for our family and friends.
I just recently had my wedding and reception at Naples Bay Resort. After looking at several other options in Naples it was clear that NBR was perfect for us. I loved that it was more private than a beach location but still on the water. I honestly think the views were better as well. You have the flexibility to be outside but also inside with a wall of sliding windows. I didn't have to worry about rain because there were options to have it inside as a back up plan. Lexi Schilling is the catering manager and she assisted me with anything from getting napkin fold measurements to taking care of my hotel room arrangements. She was so helpful every step of the way. Another thing I loved was that she helped by giving suggestions for the ceremony & reception order. She was there to direct and make sure the rehearsal went well and everyone knew what they needed to do. She even coordinated our entertainment in downtown Naples afterwards. The entire hotel staff bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. They even have a cafe that I frequently went to with amazing iced coffees! The staff for the evening of our wedding was absolutely incredible. Neo and Athena had a smile on our entire night! I loved that the they were genuine and cared about everyone there. Now for the food.... Now I'm not being biased because it was my wedding and I know this because I heard it from almost every single one of my guest., the food was AMAZING! Best wedding food I have ever had! Overall my guests raved about the food and the breathtaking Naples Bay Resort. I would choose them again in a heartbeat!
This place is beautiful and perfect for a destination wedding. The staff is incredibly friendly. Lexi took great care of us. We had the ceremony outside at the marina in front of the Pointe. One of the unexpected things that happened was after we got married, one of the boat captains honked his horn. All of my guests thought it was hilarious. We fell in love with Naples and the resort is one of the reasons why.
I don’t know where to start since everything was awesome.
Food & drinks: the NBRM offered excellent flexibility that allowed us to create a menu that met our guests’ diets. The food was delicious. I received multiple complements on everything but especially on the fish & mushroom risotto. There was not one thing in the buffet that we did not love. The NBRM went above & beyond the call of duty to make sure that our requests were met, including providing us a choice of salad dressings on the side & craft beers since we are IPA drinkers. The margaritas were a hit!
The staff: the wait staff & bartenders were amazing. They were attentive, truly looked like they loved their jobs, complimented our wedding multiple times & provided everything I requested. Guests also complimented me later on how nice they were. We were a rowdy crowd but were treated great the whole time. Everyone was so friendly from the pool staff to the cleaners. Noe, the Banquet Capitan, was very attentive to my Grandma & the group sitting at the reception with her...he brought them sodas when they ran out, etc. Noe was fantastic throughout. Brian (& others) at the front desk was particularly helpful. A young woman (who just started a couple months ago) worked with the security guy to get into the storage room at 5:30am Monday to get the boxes.
The resort grounds: the NBRM is beautiful & allowed for BEAUTIFUL wedding shots. There are spiral staircases, fountains, marina views, waterfalls, etc. We picked the area by the smaller pool for the wedding ceremony, which came at no additional cost & had a perfect view of the water with palm trees & boats in the background. Guests stayed in the 2 bedroom suites whenever possible, which are good size apartments that allow people to spend more time together since there is room to host. For example, my parents had everyone over the Thursday night before the wedding, & there was more than enough space to host the 15 or so people in their room before we had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. We chose the Yacht Club for the reception, as we were a group of just under 60. It was a great size for our group & the layout was perfect; it allowed for a dinner area & then a semi-separate dance floor in the same room. The bar was extra large & right near the dancing, which allowed guests to grab a drink without having to go anywhere.
The on-site wedding coordinator: We could not have been more pleased with what Lexi did for us. Really, Lexi is awesome. Pre-wedding she met my many requests (craft beer, extra napkins, wedding timeline, gluten free foods etc), answered my 1000 questions in a timely fashion, provided great advice & foresaw areas that I had overlooked. The day of the wedding, she met my family to help coordinate decorations, helped decorate & provide last minute decoration additions (a table, for example), made sure we kept to the timeline without making us feel rushed, coordinated a bus & golf cart so we could take pictures quickly to return to the guests, helped with the details to make everything run smoothly & did all that with a huge smile on her face. One great example of the excellent service is when I told her we were going to 7th Avenue Social for an after party. I didn't request anything from her but when we got there we had a space reserved for us. You can tell she loves what she does. We ran into her on Friday night when we were out in town she gave me a hug. What more can you ask for from a wedding planner?
I had my wedding here 12/13/14 and it was breathtaking. The service was top notch. Anything I asked for they made happen. The price is vary fair. It is not only a beautiful location the staff from start to finish makes you feel like a movie star! My wedding reception was so much fun and stress free! The Naples Bay Resort made my wedding the event of the year for all of my guests! I can not say enough good things!! They are personal, practical and there is not another place in SW Florida that can compare! Lexi was my event coordinator on location and she made sure it all turned out exactly as I had dreamed!
Amazing venue! Lexi and her staff were amazing. The banquet captain, Mitzi, was attentive and on top of everything. Our wedding went completely smoothly and without a hitch. The food was amazing. We never heard NBR ever say "no" to any of our requests - they only said "yes!" Amazing experience, amazing staff, amazing venue! Everyone had a great time. I would definitely recommend NBR to anyone looking for an amazing venue on the water. We definitely plan to come down for some R&R in the future!
They were wonderful. Helped us with are every need
We had our wedding at Naples Bay Resort in March, and I couldn't be happier with our choice to have it there. We have stayed at this hotel many times and the service is outstanding.
Lynn Alexander, the wedding coordinator for the reception, was amazing to work with. She is very accesible, and she answers all questions promptly. I felt so comfortable knowing that she would be there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The food was delicious, and my guests are still talking about it. The staff that night were attentive to the guests and were helpful to me when I needed anything.
I would recommend Naples Bay Resort to any couple wanting to have their wedding in Naples. The town is beautiful, and there is nothing that can compare to this resort.
Naples Bay Resort is an absolutely GORGEOUS hotel. It's in a great location right by Tin City and just minutes from the downtown area on 5th Ave that has great restaurants and bars.
We had our reception in the Yacht Club restaurant on property and it was everything my husband and I wanted for our wedding day. Lynn Alexander, the events coordinator, is a dream to work with. From day one, she made my husband and I feel so at ease by being flexible with all the options they offer to fit our budget without our guests being able to notice we were on a tight budget.
Lynn and the entire staff at Naples Bay Resort went above and beyond for us and our family and friends. We are hoping to go back to celebrate our anniversary next March. :)
Lynn Alexander was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed this venue it was beautiful. We did however have some issues with the food we expected. We selected spring rolls as an hor D'Oeuvre however we were served sesame peanut chicken in its place. We had tried this at our tasting and did not enjoy them, none of our guests even took from this tray it went to waste. We also had some issues with at least one guest that I am aware of that received the incorrect meal, she was brought steak instead of chicken. I was not able to see everyones plate so I am not sure this happened to anyone else but this was very embarrassing to me as I saw her giving her food to others so it wouldn't go to waste. The bar tenders also did not know when to cut off guests I had to call her out on it and as the bride I was not happy about having to do so. The venue is beautiful and the hotel amazing however the service was not top notch. I was disappointed in how many things were handled. I will be staying at this hotel again and would recommend this venue with the recommendations that hopefully they get the food right. After the tasting we were amazed but the wedding night my plate was actually cold and didn't taste like what I had previously tried :-( My wedding cake was left for me to serve with no silverware and the left over cake was packaged in an old cardboard box. Apparently they discarded the cake box?? I guess the beauty of the hotel is what bring us back but I think the service needs improvements.
Lynn helped with every step of planning destination wedding weekend at the Naples Bay Resort. She was a god-send. The Naples Bay Resort was a wonderful place to hold our rehearsal, reception and farewell breakfasts during our wedding weekend. The rooms are beautiful and the food was wonderful. Our guests have said repeatedly that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Highly recommend the Naples Bay Resort and working with Lynn.
I had my wedding at the Naples Bay Resort and I am so happy I chose it. Lynn Alexander, the event coordinator was an absolute dream to deal with! The hotel itself is beautiful and classy without being pretentious. The rooms are outstanding! As for the wedding, the setting is wonderful and speaks for itself, the food is GREAT, and the service (bartenders, servers, etc) was amazing...it was almost too good to be true. Everyone at my wedding party was in love with the place....so much so that they want to have a reunion in 1 year just to be able to go back to the Naples Bay Resort!
