My husband and I will be riding the high of how beyond perfect our wedding weekend was for the rest of our lives… all thanks to Ness. Ness is the most wonderful person. She is super laid back and easy to get along with and is always so calm and composed. She really helped us stay balanced and grounded during the entire process. We hired Ness as a full service planner and she helped us plan our wedding in less than 9 months which was a pretty incredible feat. My husband and I also had one of the busiest work and travel schedules we’ve ever had this past year, but Ness was super flexible and held late office hours so that we could schedule meetings with her at our convenience after work. Ness also helped us assemble the most amazing team of vendors. We are very indecisive in general, so Ness helped us by listening to and understanding our vision and presenting us with a few options for each vendor category so that we weren’t overwhelmed with choices. Each vendor was so perfect for our vision so we really couldn’t have gone wrong with any decision we made. Ness also had great relationships with our vendors, and even if she hadn’t personally worked with one of our vendors before, she knew someone who had. And we were literally obsessed with every single person we worked with throughout the planning process, and then even more in love with them after they took such good care of us on our wedding weekend. We are so thankful for the team Ness assembled for us! Because of Ness we actually enjoyed the wedding planning process. She did all the hard work and we just had to make the fun/creative design decisions! We also felt less guilty/worried about spending money because we trusted Ness and knew she was keeping us on track and on/under budget. We loved working with Ness so much we also hired her to plan our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks the night before our wedding. So worth it. We was especially grateful for Ness because it poured the night before our wedding so everything had to be changed to Plan B. But we didn’t have to worry about anything because Ness spent the entire night and wedding morning coordinating with our vendors and venue to pivot all the plans seamlessly. Everything was so beautifully done and perfectly executed you would have never known that it wasn’t the original plan!! Thanks to Ness we had the most perfectly planned and beautiful wedding weekend. Ness took care of everything and just told us where to be and when! We didn’t have to think about or stress over anything, we could just be present and enjoy every minute! That is priceless and is something we will be forever grateful for. If you are hesitant at all, don’t be, just hire Ness. We promise it will be the best decision you make for your wedding!

I hired Ness McGovern on the recommendation of a friend who had a large tented backyard wedding that went off without a hitch, so I knew Ness could handle our situation. About 2 months prior to our wedding date, due to an unfortunate circumstance beyond our control, we were facing cancelling our venue. I knew we needed professional help, so we immediately reached out to Ness who hit the ground running with helping us try to save our original venue. We ended up not staying with that venue, and Ness was incredibly helpful in helping us cancel the vendors that we needed to cancel, finding a new venue, photo location, and florist, and navigating the difficulties that came with all of that. Ness was kind, helpful, super responsive, and honestly a life-saver. She was unable to be at our wedding due to already being booked, so she found another planner to fill in on day-of who was also awesome. I didn't think I needed a planner when I started planning 1.5 yrs out, but I'm so thankful I hired Ness and can't recommend her and her services highly enough, our day was stress-free because of all the work she put in!

We can't thank Ness enough for turning our dream wedding into a reality! From start to finish, her professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were outstanding. She stepped in when we accidentally forgot to put welcome bags at our second hotel. She organized my floral preservation and handled sending it out. My husband and I got married at a summer camp instead of a traditional venue, so we had to arrange everything ourselves - décor, catering, rentals, etc. Leading up to the wedding, Ness provided great vendor recommendations and helped us coordinate with the rental company and caterer. She also helped with décor, table layout, and logistics. She kept us on track throughout the whole planning process and made sure that everything got done in time. Our wedding was supposed to be fully outdoors, but we were forced to move the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception inside last minute due to weather. Ness was an absolute lifesaver in the days leading up to the wedding! She coordinated with all of our vendors to let them know about the change, worked on a new floor plan, and helped decorate the new space. She went above and beyond for us, and our wedding day would not have gone so smoothly without her!

After trying to plan my wedding with my husband who couldn't decide on what he wanted, we made the decision to hire a wedding planner. We found Ness on The Knot and reached out to her. After speaking to her it was a no brainer! Ness was and is an amazing wedding planner! We hired her as a full service planner but she offers other arrangements as well. No matter what you pick, she will pour her heart and soul into your event. Over the course of 2 years of planning, Ness worked hard to take random things we loved to incorporate into our wedding like our Mamma Mia theme and Disney engagement. She found us a photographer who we fell in love with as well as an amazing DJ! She toured venues with us and worked tirelessly on little details that she knew we would love (like spray painting Disney characters for my husband and I to find during our wedding). She checked in on us, was always there if we had a question or concern. Ness was amazing in every way possible! She helped give us our dream wedding and made something that could have been stressful for us feel like smooth sailing. We hired Ness for her full planning and design services and were blown away by her organization, thoughtfulness and attention to detail. She is especially good at discerning what's a priority versus what can be handled further down the line. She had so many great ideas and suggestions throughout the 10+ months we worked with her to plan our raw space venue wedding. She thought of everything from the walkways to the lighting. Her assistants on wedding day were just as helpful too. Even during the busy parts of wedding season, she always made time for us and always treated us like a priority and we always trusted her take care everything. We couldn't have imagined a better wedding planning experience!

We asked her for help with making sure our style & design aligned, as well as tying everything together with only 3 months to spare before our big day. I got engaged, picked my not so traditional venue (typically a BYOB fried clam shack on the beach in the cape which I was hoping to tent and transform) anddd then realized it was going to be a lottt of DIY and the only people I trusted to get it done was myself, my mom and my besties. Enter actual wedding nightmares! Once I connected with and hired Ness the nightmares of a sad empty tent instantly went away. She listened to all of my hopes and dreams over the course of the next few months and was there that day to execute them. The day was flawless and could not have happened without Ness on scene! Forever grateful for all of her time and effort into making our day a 12/10!

After countless hours of searching high and low for full-service wedding planners, we made the decision to hire Ness McGovern Events. We have no doubt that was the best outcome we could have had. All the effort and time Ness put in to make the event the best possible was worth it. Ness was the best wedding planner! She is not only an amazing talented professional, she’s also such a wonderful, authentic, and genuine person. She made the whole process of planning our wedding upbeat and positive - she was our cheerleader from day 1. Through all of the outside stress that comes with wedding planning, Ness made herself available to spend all the time we needed from her (which was approx. 60-90 mins. on Zoom per week for full planning services. From every vendor she recommended to every small detail, everything was so amazing. Ness, we love you and we are forever grateful! We can’t get over of how perfect was our wedding day was!

Ness was absolutely A M A Z I N G. We hired her to help us plan our wedding (about 85 guests), and went with her Full Planning services. When I say full, I mean F U L L. We had a backyard wedding; so beyond traditional planning, she had to research/coordinate literally everything from caterers to tents and outdoor flooring to lighting to tables to linen delivery, set up, AND pick up after the event. We had a bunch of criteria we wanted to meet when working with vendors, and stressed that as a lesbian couple it was important to us to work with minority-owned businesses, and she found the most incredible vendors. She was super transparent during her research phase, and let us know why she suggested choosing/not choosing certain vendors based on budget, experience, etc. The day of was incredible. It was the most seamless event I've ever been to, and I wasn't expecting to feel that way at my own wedding. I didn't have to think about anything except getting ready and enjoying the day! I wish I could share more about what Ness did the day of, but because of how incredible she is: I don't know what she was doing! She looked happy every time I saw her, made sure everything was set up, and people were where they needed to be. She made it so that I didn't have to worry about anything or answer any questions. She was on top of literally everything. From my point of view, everything went perfectly, and it's all because of her! She made the wedding of my dreams come true. Towards the end of our planning time together, we decided to host a brunch the Sunday after our wedding and asked if should be available to help. She went above and beyond to help us on Sunday, after also managing the deliveries and set up the day before the wedding and managing everything the day of. She's an exceptional planner, and has an incredible support team. Her day-of support coordinators were just as phenomenal as Ness - you can just tell how much each of them enjoy what they do. I would highly recommend working with Ness - she's really, truly incredible.

As our day-of-coordinator, Ness went above and beyond to help us shape and pull off the vision for our wedding. Ness provided us with guidance and suggestions throughout our planning process by emails, video calls, and a site visit. From the beginning, she also provided us with a really useful list of vendor suggestions and access to the tools on Aisle Planner. Leading up to the wedding, she made final coordinations with our vendors and patiently waited with us while we waited for the rental set-up (the truck had broken down). On the day of our wedding, Ness and her assistant were instrumental in making sure the day unfolded just as we planned, freeing us to just focus on our celebration and we are grateful to her for helping us to create such a magical day.

I hired Ness as my day of coordinator and the day went so smoothly! Although I planned a custom wedding, I was able to always ask her for recommendations and advice whenever I needed. She was able to take my decorations notes and made sure the venue was ready. She planned out the timeline and ensured that all the vendors was handle. I was able to tell her of any little things that needed help the day of and it went so smoothly! Definitely wouldn’t have been able to pull off the wedding without her!

Ness is absolutely amazing! My wedding would not have been as magical as it was without her. She helped with everything and never let me worry about a thing. She was always on top of it all! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and a wonderful human being inside and out. She seriously helped get rid of all the stress leading up to my wedding and on the day of. Ness was a pleasure to work with. We engaged Ness for the 3 month/ day of package and are so happy we did! She instantly comforted us with organized timelines and solutions when we were feeling overwhelmed. She was kind and available. She was always willing to work around our schedule to make sure she could meet with us if we needed anything. She was timely and always did everything she said she would. On wedding day, Ness made sure everything went smoothly and was able to manage everyone throughout the stressful points of the day. I booked Ness as a 3 month before/day-of planner and couldn't be more thankful that I did. She was organized, thoughtful, prepared and empathetic to the stress that brides are under as the big day approaches. She provided me with a planning software that allowed me to map out the cost of everything, due dates, and what I had left to check off of my to-do list. We had many check-in calls leading up to the wedding date and each time I felt more and more secure that she had things under control. She went above and beyond and even helped curate decorative items for my venue, which she certainly didn't need to do. If you're thinking of hiring Ness, do yourself a favor and call her!

Ness is fantastic and made our wedding day happen! We hired her to be our wedding day-of planner, but we got so much more than we could ever expect. She started working with us far in advance of our wedding, met with us periodically, stored all of our contracts, managed our relationships with vendors and was on ground the day before and the day of our wedding taking care of everything we could expect and reminding us of things we likely would have forgotten. Many wedding venues offer day-of services, which ours did, but had we not hired Ness, our wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did. Her professionalism, attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and personality in general made her a pleasure to work with and such a vital part of pulling off our special day! I can not recommend her services more!!!

Ness was our coordinator for our wedding in November 2021. She was so helpful and organized, she made sure our day went super smooth. We had an unconventional venue (a steakhouse) and there was no DJ so Ness helped us with the music inside the restaurant. She did a great job even though we knew it wasn’t part of her standard job description. She set up our personal decor and made sure it was taken care of at the end of the night. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a little event flow guidance. She also had great recommendations for vendors and when we last minute needed some additional items.

Ness was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive and accommodating to my every request. She was easy to reach and responds very quickly. When it came to the execution of all the details of my wedding she did it flawlessly and far exceeded my expectations! Because of Ness the night flowed so effortlessly without any hiccups.

We signed on with Ness for a partial planning package for our July 2021 wedding at the New York Botanical Garden. She helped us come up with a color palette that was soft and that complimented all the greenery already at NYBG. She was available for all our questions and had helpful suggestions when we were managing a difficult vendor situation. She took over all vendor communication in the month before the wedding and gave us the chance to relax! The day went super smooth, and despite it being 90+ degrees, I didn't sweat anything at all. I am so happy we decided to hire Ness, she really made a difference in the planning experience for our backyard wedding in the fall of 2020. We were making the best of a not-so-great situation and she was so helpful and professional! Everything went smoothly because she was there to take care of it. She also has great suggestions for our floral arrangements and table decor. She wrangled all the vendors and read through our contracts to make sure we were prepared for all the fine print of having a COVID-19 era wedding. My husband was thrilled to have found perfectly portioned leftover desserts set aside for us at the end of the night as well.

My wedding was postponed due to COVID and I needed some help with that unexpected change. I did not think previously that we needed a wedding planner as I am pretty planning savvy myself but I am oh so grateful that we hired Ness for a partial planning package to help with our wedding day. She was always available to explain the process and answer our questions. She had thoughtful suggestions around tailoring our wedding to be special for us as a couple. Even though it wasn't my original wedding, it was beautiful and Ness really made it so that I felt comfortable and as relaxed as I could be on the big day.
