New York Bride & Groom Columbia

I loved using New York Bride and Groom. Buying my dress and all my alteration appointments were super smooth and easy. Helped answer questions I had about dresses and shapewear. My wedding was a week after Hurricane Helene, while the store was without power the few days after the Hurricane, they called me and let me know they were still in store and that I was still able to pick up my dress. I knew I didn't have to worry about my dress.

NYB&G was so friendly and helpful to find my dream dress. They were patient with my search and listened to my likes and dislikes. Victoria was amazing!!

NYBG are amazing! Kandace & Sarah were extremely helpful and accommodating every time I went into the store. They all are attentive and knowledgeable about the gowns. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great service and selection!

I was able to find my dress the first time I tried on dresses! They were super helpful and were able to help me achieve my dream dress by adding different accessories, including a gorgeous jacket and veil. My dress also fit perfectly thanks to their alterations department and it was exactly what I wanted!

I can’t express how much I loved this place. The staff made me feel like I was the only one there, and truly cared about you finding the dress of your dreams. It was my first time dress shopping and I found my dress within 10ish try-ons. I don’t have one complaint about this place, they were truly amazing.

Amazing! The experience the energy everything was amazing. I went in to look at dresses with a particular dress that I tried on in mind. I tried on 3 dress and by the 3rd dress I was sold on my dream dress. I cannot remember the young lady name that assisted me but she was so sweet and welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. I do remember Candace because she grabbed every dress I pulled off the rack and assisted us by taking them to the room. Everyone at this establishment is amazing and I would recommend them to any upcoming bride ❤️

This was the greatest experience picking out a dress for my wedding. The staff made me feel special, comfortable, and confident about myself. I never knew what style looked good. Abby was very helpful when I told her what I think may look good. She helped my mom and I pick out dresses and tried them on. Abby was very patient and kind. She also gave encouraging feedback. I could have stayed there forever. The staff was kind and patient as well. When we paid for the dress, the manager was very helpful with the purchase. I would recommend New York Bride & Groom to everyone. I was really dreading going to the other place. Thank you for an awesome experience! By the way, love the banging of the gong.

NYBG not only had a huge selection of dresses but was very kind! Not once did I feel out of place or not wanted. I felt cared for in every aspect and I found my dream dress!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I am so thankful that my venue, Twelve Oak Estate, recommended this shop to me. I am a very indecisive person and they made it soooo easy for me to be 100000% sure of my dress. I came in multiple times to retry it on because I was nervous about it fitting and wanted to show out of town family and they were always patient with me. They also helped pull styles in anything I could ask for and gave great advice on my veil. They know their stuff! 10000/10 recommend!

TLDR: Great for finding your dress, but get your alterations done elsewhere ($$$). My experience picking out my dress here was wonderful. The building is huge and open and bright, and the fitting rooms are a lovely and intimate setting. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. They made me feel so special and excited about the process, and they were patient with my picky self as I tried on probably twenty dresses or more, and then tried some of them on again. They have a huge selection of dresses in many styles and sizes, plus they have a large off the rack clearance wall. I finally found the perfect dress for me, and it was ON SALE. It was very affordable compared to the rest of the dresses I was trying on (about $800 compared to $1600). You get to ring this big gong when you say YES and take pictures in front of the sign and everything. They also gave me a little gift bag with a lovely candle, so all in all it was very fun and a great experience! My only issue here was when I came back to get pinned for the alterations. They did the pinning, and that was all fine, but when we went to pay for them, the amount that they were asking for was wild. For context, these were pretty basic alterations, as the dress was a little big on me, so it needed to be taken in some, have the straps adjusted, and have the bustle done. I was expecting $300, maybe $350 maximum, but the bill turned out to be about twice that (~$640), which was almost as expensive as the dress itself. We asked if there was maybe a mistake because that seemed just way too much, and they looked over it and came back saying they could bring it down to about $600 or so. So we ended up taking it elsewhere for alterations and got it done for $300 like we had originally estimated. So, while I do recommend going here to find your dress, if budget is a concern then I would definitely recommend looking around and finding somewhere else to get your alterations done.

We had such a great experience!! I worked with Angelia & she was amazing & so sweet! Made me feel great & stuck with all of my needs! She is who actually picked my dress! I also enjoyed Nicole, everyone was so sweet & made it go so smoothly!!

I found the dress of my dreams! Everyone loved it and everyone told me that "it was very me". They had so many selections and everyone there was super helpful. Prices were reasonable. I appreciated that they stored my dress until closer to the wedding day to ensure that my then fiancé, now husband didn't see it before the big reveal!

Amazing service! Angela was so sweet and very helpful. I was nervous walking in as this was my first time dress shopping. But the environment was so welcoming and relaxed it was so easy for me to settle in and really enjoy the experience. I was able to find a dress within an hour and worked out details and preferences without ever feeling rushed or pressured. So thankful for this store!

When I say the BEST service! I was there for 4 hours limiting down dresses after trying on SOOOO MANY!..I was not rushed or ever felt like I was “taking too long”. I worked with Carlie..who was WONDERFUL by the way! Me and my bridesmaids fell in love with her!..she’s now friend-mily!..but all the staff are hard working. It didn’t matter what they were doing or who they were working with..they worked as a team! After pulling so many off the mannequins..I found my PERFECT ONE! ❤️

Absolutely amazing salon! The staff were amazing every single time I visited. I was hesitant at first with their style of "no appointments" but to be honest, it was the best part. The first time I visited, I was there for several hours. I tried on so many dresses and was never pressured to purchase one. I didn't buy a dress the first time I went. However, after visiting several other salons, I wanted to go back and try on some more dresses from here. The salon kept my favorites on file, was able to pull those and even let me try on even more! After I found my dress, I could have had it shipped to the Raleigh location which was much closer to me, but because of the staff at the Columbia store, I chose to drive 2.5 hours instead of 1 hour just because of the staff! Thank you everyone who was involved in helping me make my dress perfect! Alterations also 5 stars! She worked hard and efficiently and I felt great all night in my dress dancing! This is the bridal boutique to go to. If you can't find a dress here you're not going to find it anywhere. They have so many selections and styles. Most dresses run from $1400-$2000. There was a rack and corner of dresses on sale that ranged from $500-900, I'm sure it varies. I was suspicious of the "no appointment needed", but they have plenty of consultants to help and give you the attention you need to find your dress. Rachel gave me great feedback on all the dresses I tried. All the ladies there are very welcoming and friendly. The store is kept clean and beautiful. The dressing suites are large. This is where I found and bought my dress.

Everyone here is so helpful, and it wasn’t at all as stressful as I thought it would be. There were people to greet you at the door and get you a room right away! Plenty of rooms and it wasn’t too crowded for a Saturday! There were lots of beautiful dresses to try on! Kay was our consultant and she was so nice and very helpful!

The ladies that were working there were so helpful and very nice! My mother and I went in on a random Saturday afternoon and were able to walk out with my dream dress within an hour! I had no idea what I wanted but I found one heck of a deal and it fit perfectly with no alterations! So happy I went in, I didn't even have an. appointment and I was able to try on dresses in no time at all!

I am beyond words for the absolutely amazing experience I had today at NY Bride and Groom. From the moment I walked in today, I was greeted with charm. Kandice-the young lady that assisted me made me feel like I was what mattered at that moment. She greeted my mom and I with a heart swarming smile, escorted us around the showroom, and even helped me choose bridal dresses that fit the style I was looking for. While in the room she went above and beyond and assisted as I FaceTimed my maid of honor. She was honest in her reaction to each dress and offered candid and experience in her feedback. When it was all said and done my heart was full, and I KNEW I made the right choice in a dress for my special day! I can not recommend this place enough- just about what most of the other reviews say! My consultant, Candice, was beyond amazing!! She was patient and did a great job pulling everything I wanted as well as pulling dresses that I may have been a little stubborn on at first. She’s clearly great at her job because I left with the dress of my dreams (that was not what I imagined at all). I can’t wait to go back for my fittings ☺️

Came here by myself, not sure what to expect, and immediately felt like I had a “bride tribe” with me. I was given my own suite and a team of lovely women who helped me narrow down what styles I liked in my budget and gave me honest opinions. It was the best experience I could have hoped for and there was absolutely no pressure. I ended up finding my dress and have a great memory to go along with it. I highly recommend any bride to visit - you won’t be disappointed by the selection or the service!

Drove to this store from Orlando, Fl to see my dream dress in person and attended the Allure trunk show. This is the experience every bride should have. You can spend as much time as you need and they help you find dresses and give great advice. Everyone was very attentive to your needs.

After having a “not so great” experience at another bridal shop, I was a bit discouraged about finding a dress. When I walked into NYB&G, my anxiety immediately went away. It did not take long at all to find my dress & the customer service was AMAZING! 🤍

A friend suggested NYB&G to us and I am so glad that I took their advice. This was the first And only place I shopped for my dress. The customer service was unbelievable as well. I had quite the entourage and they made sure each of us felt comfortable and had fun. I probably tried on 20-30 dresses and they were so so patient with me. I would (and have) recommend this to a friend.

They were amazing!!! All of the employees are kind and helpful and so sweet! Never short of any smiles and they were very knowledgeable and able to provide great suggestions! They also allowed for the customers to bring their own champagne which was great! Paige was so so great, very fun, and incredibly supportive! I would give more stars if possible!

I had the best experience today at New York Bride and Groom! The people were so friendly and helpful especially Kim! The place is so beautiful with so many choices to look through. We went somewhere else after, but it could not compare. We immediately went back and I said YES TO THE DRESS! I would definitely recommend this place to every bride.

From the moment my to be mother-in-law and I walked in the door everyone was very nice and went through the process of trying on dresses. They put us in a dressing room and put the bride and groom’s name outside it. We picked out dresses from the very large selection of sample gowns. JoAnne and Kim helped me get pinned up and helped me narrow down my search by asking what I liked about each dress or what I would change about it. JoAnn and Kim both found me additional dresses to match my style to try. We narrowed it down and were pretty set but not 100% on one, then they had me go select a few more. The entire staff was very nice and complimentary. When I found my dress I actually cried, I feel so amazing beautiful in it and I can picture the whole wedding day in it. I’ve never felt that way about a dress. Everyone knew it was the one. I still compared with trying on the other another time and back to the one. The staff was so patient and sweet. They let us get fun pictures and made a celebration out of me ringing the gong bc I said yes to the dress! The prices are reasonable. The shipping times (all are custom ordered after you’re measured) are as expected. The selection was fantastic. The service and vibe of the whole place was phenomenal! I absolutely recommend this place to any bride ❤️❤️❤️

I got my dress/veil and the groom/groomsmen suit rentals through NYB&G and they were so wonderful to work with. The staff was great and all of our attire turned out wonderfully. Alterations on my wedding dress were great and it was so nice to be able to store the dress there up until wedding week.

Love Love Love this place. As soon as you walk in you see all the beautiful dresses. The lighting in the store is bright and makes all the dresses pop out even more. The staff are excellent and pay attention to what your asking for.

Great customer service! They were happy to help us order different fits for the groomsmen suit that was needed the week before the wedding. Great communication with all the swap outs. They made it easy for our growing teenage son and made sure everything was pressed and ready to wear.

Julie (Susie) was AMAZINGGG! I visited the store twice, because the first day I just couldn’t decide, Candace helped me, she was AWESOME as well, she helped me pick out dresses and helped me get dressed, she literally was RIGHT THERE to assist the entire 2 hours I spent in the store. I returned on Monday, hoping to finally find THE DRESS, Marlene helped that day, I couldn’t find anything I truly loved after trying on approximately 12 dresses. So I got dress and we were about to walk out the dressing room, then Julie(Susie) walked in and I said I know you just got dressed but can you please just try this dress on for me, I said ughh okayyy, she PUT me in that dress and I literally FELL IN LOVE! She was so kind and listened to all the "wants" & "needs" that I had for my ideal dress. I am such a tom boy and was pretty lost in there (they have a HUGE selection, amazing!) and Mariah went ahead and starting pulling dresses for me. I was in and out, dress ordered and happier than ever in less than 2 hours. The woman who helped me, Sophie, was incredibly kind and helpful. She was very patient and understanding, without being pushy at all. She listened to me! The interior is professional and filled with a plethora of wedding dresses. Excellent lighting and design. Seriously, they have so many wedding dresses, you will likely find one in your desired style. I found my dress here!

I would give 100 stars if it was possible. New York Bride and Groom made my entire experience amazing. The girls were so helpful and it didn't matter if the dress was $500 or $2,000.. The ladies at New York Bride were AMAZING! They truly put off such a genuine, caring vibe and all seem to me great people. So kind and not pushy at all. They truly look for what you tell them you want instead of just picking random gowns completely opposite of that you want (like I experienced at another shop). Anna was amazing! I had a terrible experience at a big chain wedding store and had the wind taken out of my sails about buying a wedding dress. My experience at NYB couldn’t have been more different. My consultant was attentive and helpful, and she put together the most amazing combinations to really make me feel like a bride. I fell in love with a style of dress and she actually pulled a dress that was a third of my budget that I was similar that I ended up loving more and eventually choosing. Trying on the dresses could be intimate, but she couldn’t have been more professional and made me feel comfortable. In addition, the suite to try on rooms was clean and sophisticated, with plenty of room for my entourage. The selection was amazing and there were at least 20 choices for the shape I was looking for. I said yes to the dress here, and every bride in SC should too!
