I recently got married on 11/23/24 and purchased my dress from Nikki’s. I fell in love with my dress on my 1st appointment looking for dresses. Nikki’s has high quality dresses and their staff is very professional, from my 1st appointment to my alterations, everything was amazing! The day of my wedding I received so many compliments about the dress, it was a stunning gown and made me feel incredible. I would highly recommend Nikki’s to anyone, thank you Nikki’s for making our day special!
I don’t write reviews often, but I feel the need to warn others about buying anything at this store. My daughter picked this place and paid the $25 fee to go. “look at dresses” which when I heard that I was completely appalled. You are a dress shop why would we need to pay to look at dresses but we went and it went downhill from there. The lady that assisted us with looking for dresses was completely rude and very pushy. She brought several dresses out but seemed irritated that she didn’t just pick one quickly. The dress was nearly $3000 and don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful dress, but I have seen many dresses for way less with the same style . This was on January 13, the lady seemed also irritated that we needed it by September and made us feel bad for not shopping months ago. But said it should be here by mid July. My daughter started calling to check on when the dress would arrive. mind you The dress had been paid off since March 13 in full. They gave her the runaround on the phone and basically someone will call her back. She waited several days and nobody called back. She called again and the person answering the phone stated she didn’t know and someone would call her back. On July 20 she finally spoke to someone and they said it’s not in yet and they would contact the manufacturer. August 3 my daughter called again and they claimed that the manufacturer said they were waiting for a piece of lace and they informed us that it’s being shipped from overseas. And per the manager will probably get here right before the wedding. Their Communication is the worst. Getting married is stressful enough without this lack of updates. On August 15, they finally called her and let her know that the dress is complete and being shipped. On August 21 the dress arrived to the shop but we had to make an appointment to go pick it up “inspection” appointment for August 26. I go in for the inspection, not that anything could be done now if something is wrong with it the contract states no refunds on any purchases under any circumstances. All sales are final. I asked her what designer made the dress she states it is their own designer. I said where does it state the designer name- the receipt states Sophia Thomas designs. The tag on the outside has no name on it just a size 8 and a sku number. So we open up inside the dress to look for a label as most designers have a label on it. And there is no label. I found this extremely odd! We zipped up the bag and I took the dress home. When I got home, I was looking at the dress again and found a small tag with 100% polyester on it like you would see in a shirt from Walmart and a small tag that says 10. The receipt states dress size 8 outside tag dress says eight inside says 10. Again all sales are final! Terrible experience overall.

All the ladies at Nikki’s were super sweet and very helpful throughout the process of picking out my dream wedding dress. Cheryl has been extremely helpful and made me feel absolutely beautiful. Can’t be anymore happier with my purchase. So excited to get married 😍
Wow! I had the most amazing time at Nikki’s finding my wedding dress. I loved the selection that was offered and the staff was so kind ! There were tons of options to chose from in my price range and so many more! Can’t wait for my wedding and to wear my dream dress! Thanks so much Nikki’s !!
This was the best shopping experience I’ve ever had! I went to 5 other dress boutiques and none of them can compare to this experience! My consultant was very patient, comforting, and listened to all my needs! I got to try on multiple styles until I found my dream dress! Nikki’s was patient and so caring through my entire appointment and I can’t recommend this store enough to any brides!
Finding the perfect dress at Nikki's was a breeze. The customer service was great and the selection was even better. My consultant was so supportive and funny. She put me at ease and was great a wrangling my family in. Which isn't an easy task for anyone ! I love the girls at Nikki's and I'm obsessed with my dress !
Found the dress of my dreams !!! I had the best experience at Nikki’s and can’t recommend them enough. Such an amazing selection of dresses to choose from and top notch customer service from the entire staff.
I’m writing this review of my sister’s experience at the Nikki’s in Palm Harbor. I accompanied my sister last February on her initial appointment for a mother of the groom dress. After her consultant(Sheila) led her to a row of dark, matronly dresses for her sons’s August wedding in Italy, we took it upon ourselves to wander over to a section of lighter colored dresses. My sister is a grown up and makes her own decisions, but she was rushed and essentially given 2 dresses to try on . She decided on the second dress after the consultant discussed the alterations that would be completed to complement her petite figure.
Her first appointment for alterations was cancelled as the scheduler never added it to the calendar. Going back for the second alteration appointment the seamstress was surprised by the size ordered by the consultant as the dress had to be completely reconstructed . The extensive alterations added $300 to a $600 dress. The last fitting was so close to the day of the event my sister was concerned she may not have it in time. The final product was a disappointment- not fitting properly and uncomfortable on this important day. My sister looks back at the photos of herself in the dress and is very unhappy. Overall experience was unpleasant.
Her daughter is now getting married and rest assured Nikki’s will NOT be an option.

I got my wedding dress at Nikki’s! I tried on several dresses at different shops and didn’t find “the one” until I went to Nikki’s. I found the perfect dress and it was a flawless process. Kathy is amazing at alterations and I couldn’t have asked for a better dress. Definitely go here if you’re looking for a stunning wedding dress.

I called Nikki's Boutique three times to make sure they had the prom dress we were looking for. First time they said they didn't, second time they did and the third time they still had it. We were driving from Sarasota, so wanted to make sure. We get there and they wrote the wrong dress #, so some confusion if they had it or not. We wanted to look around but the sales lady rushed us so much we just tried on two. We ended up with the one we came for but the customer service was not good. I'm getting married and wanted to look at the Bridal side and the sales lady told me I should make an appt. I told her I just wanted to see the selection and she reluctantly said ok. I would never go back. I'm glad they had the dress we wanted but I would not shop there otherwise.
I found my dress at Nikki's, palm harbor location. After telling them what style I was looking for, my dress was the first one I tried on! I tried on a few others after that just to make sure:) The staff were helpful as my dress came in. I went down in sizes from when I ordered my dress but Kathy did a wonderful job with alterations! My dress fit perfectly my wedding day :) Thank you !!
They are great. They made the process for renting tuxedos for an upcoming wedding a breeze would recommend to a friend for sure.
I visited their wiregrass branch in search of an evening gown for an upcoming pageant. I tried on a sequined gown that had a few flaws but I was assured it will be fixed at no additional charge. My only concern was the front hemline of the gown being too long and was told that the cost would be no more than $30. At the time of the appointment I met a hispanic woman who turned out to be the one that did the alterations and quoted me $180, which is absolutely over priced for a minor hem and adjustment of two shoulder straps. I was told on Spetember 5th that the gown would be ready by October 31st. At the alterations appointment I asked the seamstress if alterations were done at the boutique or if she has a studio, to which she replied no, but that she takes the garment to her house. I thought about it overnight and promptly called the next morning to cancel the alterations. When I called I specifically asked to speak to a manager to which the man who answered the phone ignored my request and asked how can I help you? I then asked if he was the manager and he said no, but how can I help you? The man who answered the phone who later on identified himself as Carol, Corrol or Coral whatever, acted quite shady and I could not understand why he wouldn't just put me on the phone to speak with a manager as I requested, or if one even existed. I then told him I thought about it overnight and have decided to cancel the alterations (less than 24 hours later) and be refunded my payment. He said he will contact the woman that does the alterations and see if she had started the alterations, (mind you she specifically told me on September 5th that the gown will be ready by October 31st). And I also noticed that during my appointment she had another customer's dress on the sewing machine that she was currently working on. He then told me that he will call back in about an hour and when he finally did, he told me she had taken the dress to her "studio" aka her house. He also informed me that that "she had already taken the dress apart", which seemed like a blatant lie because I don't believe that the dress had even left the store. He then preceded to act rude and even had the audacity to say that the money cannot be refunded. I absolutely 100% did not believe that alterations had even started on the dress, to hem and shorten two shoulder straps on the dress on September 5th, and not be ready until October 31st.. This to me was just a way for them to not refund me the money I had already paid. At this point I was pissed and told him to tell her to just sew the dress back together to it's original state and forget about hemming it or taking in the straps. Just fix the flaws and let me pick up my dress. He then told me that it will cost $45 per hour to put the dress back together which is absolute bull****. This whole alterations thing is just a scam their fees are inconsistent and outrageous, and they try to size you up by appearance to determine how much they can extract from you. The seamstress that does the alterations even asked me what part of town I live in during my appointment which was a bit odd and which I did not disclose. I suppose it was probably to help her determine the charges. If I could , I would definitely give this place zero stars because the service is terrible once they get your money. They are nothing but rude, deceptive, money hungry con artist.
Being considered a plus size (size 16) I was struggling to find a dress I could actually fit in to try on. Nikki's Glitz and Glam not only had my dress in a size I could actually try on, but they were patient and met all my needs. My dress arrived earlier than expected, the seamstress did an amazing job on alterations. I didnt think I was ever going to find my dream dress, and they made it happen!
Trying on dresses was overcrowded and rushed. We had to wait 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment. Then My wedding dress came in almost a month late after they reassured me it would definitely be in on time. We prepaid in full for my dress and veil and when I finally got to pick up my dress, they forgot to put the veil in the bag! Then I had to go back and get it!
Horrible people. Cost us thousands of dollars and much heartbreak. Had to threaten to sue just to get our money back. All they care about is making a sale and getting your money. Just an awful, awful experience.
My experience was VERY similar to Kelsey D except I didn’t buy a dress. I’d rather by a dress that I liked somewhere else than one I liked more at Nikki’s. When I first met with my consultant, I tried my best describing my wedding and the type of dress I’m looking for. This is my third bridal salon visit so I’ve had this conversation before with other consultants. My consultant was condescending and rude but in a sweet voice. I must admit I’m indecisive and I didn’t have anything specific in mind. Her comments didn’t make me want to cry but they did annoy me like when she said “I can’t put you in 2000 dresses.” after fitting me in my second dress (no one expected her to). I tried my best to not be snippy and called it quits after a little more than hour of trying on dresses.
We ordered both bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos from Nikki's for our wedding day. We wanted our groomsmen in grey tuxedos and the groom in a navy blue tuxedo. The shop ordered the wrong color for both the groom and the groomsmen. After looking at the paper and seeing what we wanted was correct and not what she ordered she simply stated that it was too late to change it since it was only a week before the wedding. Secondly we ordered four bridesmaid dresses from the shop. Only three of the dresses actually came in on time. The last dress was not ordered and we only found this out a month before the big day because my bridesmaid called to check on the status of the dress otherwise it probably would've never come. The shop did pay for rush shipping on the dress. The week of the wedding we kept calling to see the status of the dress and the shop kept telling us it will "probably be here by the end of the week". My bridesmaid had to buy another dress because "probably" is not a very secure answer when you need a dress to wear at a wedding. Finally it was confirmed the dress would arrive the day of my wedding. On the day of the wedding my bridesmaid had to drive to the shop to go get the correct dress and have rush alterations. She asked for a refund on this dress because it was a huge inconvenience for her to drive out there on the day of the wedding, miss out on time with the bridal party, and have so much stress of not even knowing if there dress would be there in time. The guy working there refused to give her a refund on the dress and made it seem like we should be thankful that the dress came in and they were charging her for alterations. To all brides out there, do yourself a HUGE favor and PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are the epitome of awful and they ruined my day in more than one way.
Working with Nikki’s staff was super easy and they kindly answered the million questions I had about time line, price point and style I was looking for.
From the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind and asked me some basic questions and showed them a few pictures of dresses I liked. I let them pull the dresses within my timeline and price point while enjoying their glamorous bridal section of the store with my ladies. The very first dress I tried on was the one. My wedding dress came in a week and is completely flawless.
I couldn’t ask for a more pleasant experience and look forward to proudly wearing one of their stunning wedding gowns in a few months at our Colorado mountain wedding.
I recently bought my wedding dress here and I had the most amazing experience! Carl and Linda were so helpful and listened to exactly what I wanted. They pulled the most beautiful dresses for me to try on. I ended up buying the second dress I tried on and I am so in love with my dress, I can’t wait to wear it!! The prices are high, but completely worth it. The dresses are absolutely stunning! I highly recommend Nikki’s Glitz and Glam if you’re looking for a wide selection of dresses, friendly atmosphere, and employees who know their stuff and will go above and beyond to help you with your selection!
I was truly excited about my visit to Nikki's boutique when I ran into them at a wedding expo in Tampa. However, when I arrived at the shop, it took someone a while to come over and greet my mother and I. When we finally sat down and my consultant came over, she was very rude and condescending. She made me feel like an idiot for not knowing all of the specs of my wedding (just started planning) and what kind of dress I wanted. (PS... this is all new to me!) she walked away and I was about it tears for how badly she made me feel. I let it go and figured I would see what they had. So I start trying on dresses and before I could even take in the fact I had on a wedding dress, my consultant immediately started asking me questions as if I was being interrogated. She did this every time I tried on a dress and yes, I know that I need someone to guide me and help me make those tough decisions, but it was very condescending and felt forced. I did find my dress there that I am in love with and purchased, but goodness, if you're going for the experience, make sure to ask for an older consultant who doesn't talk down to you.
Everyone do your self a favor and go to Nikki’s before you go anywhere else!! The staff at Nikki’s legitimately SAVED my wedding day!!
I made the HUGE mistake of going to another bridal shop in St. Pete where I found a dress, and they ordered it to standard sizing and NOT the designer size. It ended up being TWO SIZES TO SMALL!!! 7 alteration appointments later with 2 different seamstresses, TWO DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING (2 days!! I cannot stress that enough) and I found out my original dress was unwearable!
I was hysterical! My mom and I drove by Nikki’s and she pulled in for a glimpse of hope, the selection was incredible, the staff was amazing and so willing to help us!! The FIRST DRESS I TRIED ON WAS SHEER PERFECTION!!! Honestly, it was my dream dress!
The price was incredible, the staff was incredible, The only thing that needed to be adjusted was my straps and they altered it in 24 hours! And the alteration was incredible!

We cannot express in words how wonderful this place was to us. My dress was stunning and it took them no time in finding the perfect one for me. Not to mention the gorgeous bridesmaid dresses! I even had a glitch where I added an extra girl last minute and they made sure her dress was in on time with no worries! They’re so wonderful. I will never forget that. The staff was so helpful and took care of everything in such a timely

Worst experience I’ve had so far while looking for my wedding dress. My consultant Jen (think that was her name) was sweet and although not very helpful with my vision and put me in the same gown twice she was still kind and nice. That was not the issue. The problem was another girl who worked there who would randomly pop into our appointment she didn’t introduce herself but she was a brunette with shorter hair. She was so rude and the most unhelpful person I’ve had to deal with during this entire journey. I’m 5’7 about 150 lbs not a large figure what so ever but I’ve always hated my shoulders. When i mentioned I did not want a dress with much of a cap sleeve bc my shoulders are broad and I didn’t want to look wide. Her response as she grabbed my hips was that “yes you do have a very boyish figure” no bride or WOMEN for that matter ever wants to hear this especially while shopping for her dress that she’s dreamt of her entire life. My entire day and experience was ruined. After she pulled 2 dresses I’d already tried on and insisted i try them on id had enough and told her i didn’t like them her response “oh well these will make another bride really happy one day” well that’s great! I really hope they do. And i also hope they don’t have to deal with her :)
Had a great appointment today!! Tony was our wonderful consultant , great selection of dresses! My mom came with me and we had no problem taking pictures and finding unique and gorgeous dresses for a good price :-)

First of all, they constantly text you with deals, sales, offers. I called and they said, they have the Sale. I went to this place and even though I found the dress I loved, you can't take pictures to share with your friends and family (since all can't go with you). Then, there was no sale, paid full price. When I got home and found the same dress online, it was 20% higher plus the delivery of $125 is something others don't charge (you want to check into this). Finally when I went to pick it up, they gave it to me on a clear plastic bag...Yes, like a laundry type bag. I explained I couldn't take that home because my fiancée was at home and going to see it, so I demanded for a bag and they brought me a pink bag which was not bridal at all. I still loved the dress, but the cleavage was too much, so they said I should go with a larger size and take it in. Later found out from seamstress that it is not possible (they had no idea what they were talking about), so she had to do a lot of work, and it came out great. Just giving you some warning on what to expect.
