Kristen Meyers is an Iowa native and founder of Party On, Des Moines! Kristen started Party On in 2015 however has been in the events arena since 2008. She started working in political campaigns while attending the University of Northern Iowa. Since graduating in 2012, she moved to Des Moines and started immersing herself in any and most festivals, parties, and weddings in town. She has grown her business nationwide working events from southern California, to Washington DC, to New York City. Kristen is always looking to the future for new adventures and better parties!

We had an amazing experience with Noce! Everyone we worked with followed up in a timely manner and worked well with and communicated with all of our other vendors. The staff was incredible the day of the wedding and kept the whole event moving along smoothly. The space is beautiful and cozy and was perfect for our winter wedding!

It was an absolute thrill to have our wedding reception (~75 guests; 07/08/2023) at Backstage at Noce. From our first impressions on the tour all the way til clean-up the night of our wedding, the service we received was impeccable, genuine, and classy.
We booked our reception ~6 months in advance of our event and had no problem with availability, even though it was during the busy months of July/August. To be safe, I’d advise booking at least 6-9 months in advance for a large event. Their event coordinator/manager, Napoleon Douglas, was so, so, so good to us. He helped us get many details sorted ahead of time which really helped put us and our families at ease.
Leading up to the event, there were some unfortunate timing/booking conflicts and we weren’t able to rent out the venue the night before to decorate. Fortunately, Napoleon and the staff at Noce more than compensated for the inconvenience by allowing our family members/helpers to come in and decorate in the morning.
The A/V system, which we used for our “special dances” and toasts, worked perfectly and Noce set it all up for us. They simply asked for the Spotify playlist, gave us a mic, and then they made sure the rest worked perfectly.
All the tables, table cloths, chairs, and lights Noce provided were high-quality and extremely classy. The greenery and candles we brought in complimented their décor perfectly, creating a surreal, classy, and formal atmosphere. Noce has a beautiful black grand piano in the backstage that they tuned for us and allowed us to use free of charge. We hired a jazz pianist to play for the whole night, Nate Sparks—who was absolutely incredible. The ambiance was literally perfect; we felt like were in a movie the whole night.
Napoleon, the bar tender, and all the staff at Noce were so professional and extraordinarily helpful. Throughout the night it seemed like if you needed a staff member, they were there, but if you didn’t, they were no where in sight. We’ve rarely felt so well attended to. There were a number of times during the evening where an announcement needed to be made and Napoleon immediately stepped up to make the announcement and direct our guests as needed. Even at the end of the night, when Noce’s bar needed to be paid, and my wife and I were running very low on energy and patience, Noce’s staff remained professional, kind, understanding, and patient.
My wife and I are both engineers and we definitely plan things meticulously. But even the best planners get things wrongs and something will go wrong on your big day. Do yourself a favor and let Noce host your event so when things inevitably go awry, Noce’s professionalism and class will ensure your guests have no idea anything’s wrong. Honestly, you’d be hard-pressed to find a classier venue with more genuinely loving and professional staff than Noce.

We recently had our wedding at Noce on 5/6/23 and had a magical day! We loved Noce for it’s unique decor and urban look and rented out both the mainstage and backstage areas for our event. The staff was amazing and helped our wedding go off without a hitch! Several of our guests remarked about how cool the venue was and how great the staff was.
They were super accommodating in letting us make the event our own and were available for walk-throughs and questions throughout our wedding planning process. We would definitely recommend Noce as a wedding location!

We love Noce and knew the moment we got engaged that we wanted to have our wedding there. (One of our first dates was to a show at Noce, making it all the more special!) I am SO glad we made this decision! We had about 75 people at our wedding, and this was the perfect space for that smaller guest list. The space is beautiful, cozy without feeling cramped, and definitely unique! We had our ceremony & cocktail hour in the front area and our reception in the back - they are really good about working with you to fit whatever space you book to your needs. The awesome sound and light systems are an added bonus! :) Napoleon, the event coordinator, is so organized and on top of it that we had nothing to worry about beforehand and on the day of. It was the perfect day and I'm so thankful Noce was part of it!

Noce was dope! The backstage is very cool with the lights and brick walls. The front room is super jazzy and perfect for live music. Our friends and family jammed out for hours on that dance floor. The coordinator, Kristen, had great recommendations for other vendors. Everyone working at Noce was great while planning for our event. All the setup and tear down went seamlessly. The bartender, Danny, whipped up some great signature cocktails. Unique and dangerously tasty; the drinks were a big hit. Everyone involved with our event worked well with the other vendors and were just pleasant all around. Great place and great staff.

Noce was an exceptional wedding ceremony and reception venue. The backstage is beautiful with bistro lights and exposed brick walls. We also used the front room for happy hour. They were very accommodating of our unique wedding, including setting up a jazz band in the back for after dinner and using Spotify for the rest of the music through their sound system.
Kristen, their event coordinator, is incredibly organized. She was very detail-oriented and responsive to our questions leading up to the ceremony. Another member of their team was there for the ceremony, but the transition from Kristen to their team was seamless.
Kristen also was knowledgeable about other vendors that they had worked with, from catering to florals to chalk artists, to musicians. In the end, we used many of her recommendations, and they were all excellent.
Our guests were floored by the venue, and described the event as unique, laid back, and highly memorable.
