Michelle with Nora Events was a true joy and light to work with. We got the delight of working with her through our 22 month engagement! She helped bring a consolidated list of vetted vendor suggestions to us so that we were not overwhelmed with searching through the infinite vendor pool. While there are many wedding checklists, there is nothing like someone who has had years of experience to know the small details that are so easily forgotten. She even assisted us with bridal party and family gifts, talking through what they liked and developing a selection of items that would be unique and meaningful to each person. On the day of Michelle blended in to the background, but was also right there way we needed her and her assistant Christina. We also received many compliments on how on how everything was on-time! Michelle thank you for your kindness, and guidance that comes with all of your experience!
We did the month-of package and Michelle was amazingly helpful! She really brought together all the details and our wedding day could not have gone any smoother. She also made sure that we had nothing to worry about on our big day and could just focus on enjoying the moment! We would definitely recommend working with Michelle as she has tons of experience and knows how to implement a vision.

Michelle literally is the best of ALL time. My husband and I were looking for a planner because we are both resident physicians with busy schedules and we asked our friends for referral - we had been to a wedding Michelle planned and were very impressed so was very easy decision to go with her and she by far exceeded already high expectations! She was absolutely amazing to work with and literally created the most wonderful, beautiful, classy wedding of our dreams! She is truly an expert and i cannot recommend her highly enough. Every single person who I know who needs a planner I refer them to her and will continue to. I was recommended to Michelle for wedding planning and day of coordination services and am SO glad that I was because she is incredible to work with. As soon as I reached out, she organized an in person meeting so that we could meet and talk about my wedding face to face. She was so organized and helped create exactly what I envisioned for our rehearsal, welcome party, and wedding. She has amazing design and style and shared ideas that we incorporated to make every detail perfect! She was so communicative in the months leading up to our wedding to help ensure everything was planned perfectly. On the day of the wedding, the team was flawless and professional, ensuring everything went according to the timeline that she created. She was always close by which made me feel so comfortable the morning of the wedding day. She also went above and beyond by capturing behind the scene video and photos of our entire wedding weekend, and they are honestly some of my favorite photos/videos. Where do I begin? I was the bride who thought I could make the wedding of my dreams happen without a coordinator. I am an Interior Design by trade, a Type-A bride, and had pretty much all of my selections/vendors booked. I thought I don’t need a coordinator! What do I need a coordinator for? Boy was I wrong! Working with NORA events was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Michelle is organized, efficient, communicative, and has so many connections, resources, and ideas that helped us create our dream wedding. Our day would not and I repeat WOULD NOT have gone as smoothly as it did without the help of NORA events. We had a small wedding (60 guests) and no wedding party so I thought we don’t need a rehearsal, what do I need a rehearsal for? Again, boy was I wrong! Michelle helped coordinate everything for our rehearsal adding a level of comfort ahead of the big day. She even designed a mini version of our wedding decor for the rehearsal dinner so the whole weekend was cohesive just as I had envisioned. On the day of, Christine was there with Michelle which was so helpful to have the added assistance. Michelle and Christina made us feel so special throughout the day, making sure absolutely everything was taken care of. They even took “behind the scenes” shots throughout the day so we could enjoy some glimpses of our day while we wait for our professional photos to come back (such a special touch!). It was truly a dream weekend for us and I cannot recommend NORA events enough. I can’t believe there was a time I thought I could do it all without her and her team. Thank you NORA Events!
Michelle, Christina, and Nora Events made our wedding day absolutely perfect. We had hired Nora Events after my sister and her husband used her for their wedding in 2021 in downtown Chicago.
Michelle took on the challenge of planning our wedding in Madison, Wisconsin. From the beginning of planning she was always true to our vision and to ourselves. On the day of we ran ahead of schedule because of their great communication with all the vendors involved. Their attention to detail is what sets them apart. Everything came together perfectly because of the high standards they set for themselves.
We initially met NORA events (Michelle) via phone and the enthusiasm and warmth we felt it convinced us right away she was the perfect wedding planner for us. Our meetings in person continued with the same energy, warmth, respect for our wishes and traditions. I had a scattered vision about the wedding and their team helped me put it together and find the right vendors. My now husband and I had some different ideas and family traditions and NORA events helped us blend them and come up with something amazing. Our families and friends were extremely happy and enjoyed every bit of our wedding thanks to all the attention. Forever grateful - thank you from a busy couple who could have not achieved a wedding like that without your team.
I’m not one to write reviews or complain, but this wedding planner caused my mother to have a seizure from the amount of stress she went through watching her daughter’s dream wedding crumble under this planner and her teams direction. They lack adequate communication skills, and were extremely rude and disrespectful to the bridal party, guests, mother and father of the bride, and vendors. She completely disregards family/cultural traditions, so if you have a traditional wedding, steer VERY clear. The planner knew it was a traditional wedding but did not inquire, listen, or accommodate for anything outside of the average modern wedding that she forced upon a traditional couple. There were so many sentimental and traditional elements that were completely disregarded. She contacted our stylists, photographer, and videographer a week before the wedding with a last minute schedule change all for “robe photos” which the bride had never even requested. She assumed “all was well” when she had zero confirmation the day before the wedding. Vendors had voiced that she had harassed them throughout the process. This caused unnecessary stress and panic among the bridal party and stylists whom we have prior experience with and know are very professional and efficient. She rushed hair styling and makeup for a robe photo shoot. One of the bridesmaids only had half of her hair styled with the other half unstyled and was demanded to get into the photo. She tried to rush the makeup artist and one of the teammates tapped the makeup artists hand to communicate with her while she was applying eyeliner on the bride. The mother of the planner who is a teammate was in the background of all of the families photos/videos recording the wedding for her own advertisement instead of helping out the bridal party, she was falling asleep during the limo ride to the ceremony. The team was speaking in their language and snickering in the bride’s home the entire time causing us to feel uncomfortable and unsure as to what was going on and what the plan was. At the venue the singer and his band did not have lighting on their stage the entire time and there was miscommunication between the planner and the singer. She needed to be reminded and redirected throughout the entirety of the wedding. I am very dissatisfied with not just how unprofessional this planner and her team was, but how completely inconsiderate she was of sentimental moments. It was these special moments that were ruined, along with the unecessary stress my sister, our family, the bridal party, and our vendors went through and the sadness my mother felt on her daughter’s special day because of this planner that forced me to write this review. Save your money and your wedding, do not book this planner.
Michelle at Nora is incredible. She handled every single thing I needed her to, and I did not feel stressed because of her! I knew the day would flow so smoothly if she was there and it did. She really knows what she is talking about and is able to point you in the right direction while still listening to everything you want. Its also a bonus that she is the sweetest ever! 10/10.
Since our initial consultation call with Michelle, we knew she was the planner for us! She was upbeat, ready to tackle our wedding vision and had great background experience in the business. With each detail, Michelle was able to give her opinion and guidance, while also making sure each aspect was uniquely ours. We were very confident going into our wedding day because of Michelle. During our wedding and celebration days, she made us feel comfortable, took behind the scenes pictures and videos to share with us afterwards, and made sure every item at our venue that was important to us - made it back to us. Thank you Michelle and team (Christina, you rock!). You made our wedding dream come true.

We have a great experience with Michelle and the whole Nora events crew. We hired them for day of coordination and could not have done it without them. The day of coordination came with pre-planning starting a month before. Throughout the process Michelle was very responsive and helpful with all details. Onsite the day of Christina, Lisette and Nora were wonderful, everything went flawlessly!
We had a wonderful experience with Michelle and her team supporting our daughter's wedding. They attended to every last detail and the logistics all came together beautifully for a magnificent celebration. With their experience we were able to relax and enjoy. We couldn't have done it without them.
Michelle and her team were hands down the best to work with. When I first contacted her, I had a few of my vendors locked in. She assured me that I would just need month of coordination then, and I trusted her, and of course she was right! Next, she coordinated everything month of extremely professionally and was always asking if there was anything else we needed. She was beyond helpful during that time. Last, was the day of, and holy cow Michelle and her team coordinated the best day ever for us!! They were professional, kind, talented, resourceful, and answered any and all questions we had. Michelle was an absolute joy to work with! She helped me plan my daughter's birthday party and was so kind, accommodating, and responsive to all of my questions and requests. We had to make a few major changes and she was quick to pivot and go along with a new game plan. The party was beautiful- better than I imagined! Her mother also came to help and she was just as darling. They deserve all the stars and more!
Michelle was kind, polite, attentive, respectful and an incredible asset in the planning and execution of a perfect Wedding weekend. She carefully curates the event and having her and her assistant Christina behind the scene allowed me to actually get to enjoy my daughter’s wedding. Hire her if you want to enjoy your event too!
Working with Michelle for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during our planning process. She truly thinks of everything, knows what she's doing, has an extensive vendor network, and is extremely organized. She has a calming, poised, strong, empowering, professional, but also fun presence. Michelle was able to respectfully represent (and stand up for) my vision to other vendors to make sure we got everything we wanted during the process. We even had to make some changes on the fly day-of and the way she executed so we didn't have to worry about things running smoothly, was so impressive and I'm so grateful. Michelle and her team are incredible! I hired Michelle to be a day of planner for my wedding
in June 2021 at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. As she would say it best, “it’s all in the details”. Michelle helped me months before the wedding to make sure I had coordinated all of the vendors and helped me think of unique touches to help represent me and my husband as a couple. She helped coordinate a walk through at the venue with all of my vendors a month before the wedding to make sure everyone had what they needed before the day of. She was the perfect liaison between me and everyone and took so much of the stress of wedding planning/coordinating off my plate. I don’t know what I would have done without her and her team the day of, they were incredibly prepared brought steamers to steam the the bridesmaid dresses, tissues on hand at all times for the family and made sure everything was on time throughout the entire evening. Michelle’s service is worth every penny and such a great value for everything she does. It helped me and mom my be able to enjoy the day because her and her team took care of absolutely everything! I couldn’t recommend her and her team more!
The best decision I made during my wedding planning process was hiring Nora Events! From day one Michelle was nothing but amazing. Talking to other vendors, scheduling tastings, creating a wedding timeline, and overall making sure I received what I wanted for my wedding day were just a few things that helped my wedding day run smoothly. We were so lucky to find Nora events. Michelle coordinated with us for over a year and a half due to our Covid postponement. She showed genuine interest in who we are as a couple, and how that influenced what we wanted for our day. Michelle made many suggestions on all of the “little things” that you don’t think of, and she was right all of the time! It has been a few weeks now since our wedding, and many of our family and friends are still telling us it has been one of the most beautiful weddings that they had ever gone to.
We hired Michelle as our Day Of coordinator.Michelle and Pam were so organized. They kept the wedding day on schedule. They followed our directions to the letter, but also made great suggestions that we hadn't thought of. As mother of the bride, I had done much of the planning but I'm so glad Michelle was there on the big day. I was able to relax and enjoy one of the most important days of our lives. Michelle is the best!
Michelle is an absolute godsend and is so brilliant and talented at what she does for wedding planning. Our winter micro-wedding during the pandemic came together like a dream, truly because of her, her vendor connections, and her deep experience in managing events. I literally don't know what we would have done without her! Michelle is so kind with an infinite amount of grace under pressure. She handles every human dynamic beautifully - nervous parent, nervous couple, etc. She eased all of our concerns. Michelle recommended nearly all of our vendors, who were amazing, and she recommended and executed the whole design for our wedding: floral, colors, invites, favors, table design, floor plan, rented lounge furniture, welcome sign, hand sanitizing station sign, etc. Our family said it was the most beautiful wedding, invitations, etc. they had been to before, and we agree! The room was so beautiful under her vision that many people told us they wanted to move in and never leave. :) Michelle managed the detailed timeline and literally everything the day of our wedding, which gave me time to enjoy the day and soak in everything. I felt totally calm knowing Michelle had everything handled. She even helped us navigate a venue and location change due to covid closure! Michelle is an expert in wedding etiquette and modern trends, so I felt relieved that we had an expert guide for so many aspects of the bridesmaids, invites, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception traditions. We rented several beautiful items from Michelle: matching frames for our parents' wedding photos, cake stand and cake cutting utensils, so many details that made life so much easier for us. I honestly cannot imagine anyone planning a wedding without Michelle. There is so much pressure on the couple with family dynamics, budgeting, snafus - and having Michelle as our planner really made the wedding be the best day of my life. Michelle is very collaborative and was very open to ideas from me and my husband throughout the planning. She even surprised us with small touches throughout the planning and day of that really made our wedding so special. We, and everyone in our family, absolutely loved working with Michelle, and very highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding of any size!
Ordered two personalized boxes for Mother's Day and was so happy with the results. Ordering was seamless and personable. Michelle did a great job paying attention to details and following up. I love working with Michelle, she had done an event for me that was amazing and perfect! Just recently I ordered one of her famous gift boxes for my mother-in-law for mother's day and it came with a beautiful hand poured and customized candle. So much detail and care goes into everything that she does!

Simply the best... Nora Events was the best decision I made for my wedding. We are from Chicago, but had a destination wedding in Miami, and the Lead Planner, Michelle, worked with us every step of the way, all the way through our wedding weekend of celebrations. From the initial planning, to seating arrangements, menu decisions, keeping up with the vendors, her communication and execution was absolute perfection. Our welcome reception, wedding day, and post wedding day brunch were perfect. She helped keep me focus and enjoying the moment, by allowing me to know she had everything handled. I was the luckiest girl to have the 2 most important people standing next to me on my wedding day... my husband, and Michelle! We had a few glitches with the venue, and even though I felt too timid to say anything, Michelle stepped right in and handled it with ease, I later even found out she stepped in to a few other areas to find solutions, before I could even know there was something wrong. She was organized, creative, and highly skilled at problem solving... a true asset to any wedding team.
NORA Events was the best thing to happen to our wedding. Michelle was absolutely amazing, and so organized. She thought of everything we could possibly need. She helped us get the perfect gifts for our bridal party, handle our extensive guest list, manage the schedule for the whole day, and coordinate with all of our vendors, and that was all before the big day! Michelle with NORA Events was simply amazing as our day-of-coordinator!! While we had her as our DOC she checked in to see where she could help way more than I would have expected! Your day of coordinator should really make everything easy for you and that’s what she did. I knew she was in control and understood our vision for the day and didn’t have to follow up to make sure things were done as expected. Had I known the stress ahead of time in planning a wedding I would have spent the money to have her plan the entire thing! It would have been well worth it! Michelle was honestly such a godsend during the planning and execution of our wedding! I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. She was patient and gracious when I went into crazy bride mode (thanks Michelle!), and accommodating us flip flopping on big decisions multiple times. When my groom lost a button on his shirt right before the ceremony, she was prepared with a needle and thread and had it fixed in minutes. What had the biggest impact on me was that she agreed to meet in person multiple times, gave us a beautifully packaged treat to express her gratitude for our business, and donated a portion of our money to a good cause. That is going ABOVE AND BEYOND in a world where many wedding vendors treat business like a big money grab. Very happy she was recommended to us!

We hired Michelle as day of the wedding planner and she exceeded almost all our expectations! She went far and beyond what I expected her to do. Frankly, we would have been lost without her, or at least, we would have to had to have spent way more time dealing with vendors. We had a small miscommunication about s'mores, namely the price of them, (they were delicious but pricey) but beyond that little caveat she was amazing! I wouldn't consider choosing anyone else if doing it again. And since this was a wedding I'm planning on not doing this again.

Michelle Medina, the owner & lead planner, was so helpful during the planning process and did such a wonderful job of bringing our vision together. She was a great resource for all of our questions and concerns. Working with NORA events was such a breeze for our engagement party. From beginning to end, Michelle was always a step ahead of me in all my planning. She’s extremely creative and her attention to detail is very impressive. I appreciated her professionalism and knowledge as she always asked the right questions I would have never guessed to ask had I done the event planning myself. Event planning itself can be very stressful when you don’t know what you’re doing but Michelle did an amazing job at making planning an excited experience. My favorite part was the day of the event because I literally had nothing to do besides drink champagne all day, get ready and show up at the time she told me to. I have to say it. Nora events were amazing. Michelle, the owner & lead planner was so concise, never making me feel overwhelmed through the planning process. The week before the event she made sure we knew what to expect and made it clear, it’s was our day & no one else’s. We’ve never met anyone so dedicated to her craft and such eye for detail. In fact, after my makeup person never showed up Michelle rolled up here sleeves and did my make up herself!! I love her!! I’ve already recommended Nora to two friends getting married next year.
Nora Events were fantastic. Planning a wedding is hard enough — especially when you’re having a destination wedding. My wife and I live in New York however we chose to have our big day in the San Juan Islands; a few hrs northwest of Seattle Wa. Michelle from Nora was amazing with giving us all the details necessary to make the best decisions and was always very clear and direct — never pushy. I’ve never met anyone as committed to a seamless and amazingly organized event. A few weeks after our wedding we received a wonderful letter from Michelle, thanking us for allowing Nora to be part of our special day and committed a percentage of our bill to a nonprofit organization. Hire them for your next event — I highly recommend them.
