Nordstrom Wedding Suite

I chose to go to Nordstrom Wedding Suite because I thought that it would be a good starting point - I have only been engaged for a month and my wedding is on 11.17.19. Making an appointment over the phone was a breeze - I called on Christmas eve and I got an appointment for Jan 2. I was assigned Luann (Lulu for short) as a stylist. She sent me a questionnaire via email prior to my appt. and I filled it out and sent it back for her review. The day of my appt., I arrived 5 minutes early with my mom and dad. Lulu greeted me and she was beyond nice. I had a feeling that I would have a great appointment - my gut feeling didn't let me down. Not only did Lulu already pulled some dresses for me, she let me and my fam roam free and pull more dresses - Lulu understood that it was my first time trying on dresses and "we should try all silhouettes and have fun." Love her already! I tried on 2 ball gowns to ensure that it's not the style I want. I tired on A-line and crepe/sheath style dresses to also ensure that it's not the style I want. Then we got to the good stuff - fit & flare; mermaid; and trumpet. I told Lulu that I want lace and beading throughout. She pulled me the Pronovias Ismeralda gown that my fam and I fell in love with. Knowing that, not only was Lulu not pushy in telling me to purchase it, she told me that Pronovias will be having a trunk show this weekend and I get to try on more dresses. I came back the next day, Jan 3, to try on dresses from the trunk show. Sure enough, I fell in love with another Pronovias dress, Ermin. Lulu was patient, knowledgeable, helpful, not pushy, and the quintessential perfect wedding consultant. She was a Godsent and I hope to never encounter these horror stories that accompany dress shopping. Even though I've only been to one other store next to Nordstrom Wedding Suite, believe me when I tell you that your wedding consultant is KEY to finding THE dress and setting the whole feel or atmosphere of your wedding dress shopping experience. Lulu was everything and more and if you can get her, consider yourself lucky and trust that you have someone amazing who knows what she's doing on your side. Lulu was able to help me envision how and what alterations will look good with my dress and was honest in telling me what I look good in and not look good in - I'm sure this is not for everybody but it's what I need and want in my wedding dress consultant. Go here as your first or last stop and you will not be disappointed, especially with Lulu on your side. My neighbor, who tried on dresses to the tune of approx. 150, found and said yes to her Monique Lhuillier dress here also with Lulu, having been to most, if not all, of the bridal dress boutique in New Jersey. Thank you, Lulu and Nordstrom Wedding Suite! You guys were a GEM!

Very rude. I went to the Nordstrom Wedding Suite with the expectation of running in and out, just to try on a specific bridesmaid dress for size only. I arrived at around 10:15 AM on a Saturday Morning with the anticipation that the store would be generally empty, having only being opened for 15 minutes. I asked the woman at the suite where the Katie May dresses were and she pointed me in the direction and then she proceeded to ask if I had an appointment. I let her know that I did not and I just had to try on a dress for size, something that would take less than 5 minutes. I just had to be sure what size to order with the bridal party. She was extremely rude to me and said I could not try the dress on without an appointment. I let her know that the bride and other bridesmaids were already here last week with Theresa when I was unable to attend, so I just had to try the dress on to know which size to order. She asked if I wanted to make an appointment today and then snapped back that there were no openings. She walked away, only to bring another woman over who was equally as rude and said I could not try the dress on without an appointment. I explained, again, with the dress in my hand and the dressing room 1 foot away, that I just needed to try the dress on quickly and that I would even go to a different dressing room, not to interfere with any prior appointments made. In addition, I let her know that I am not from around here and traveled specifically to the Garden State Nordstrom Wedding Suite today, but still both women would not let me try the dress on. There was not one person in the Wedding Suite at this time, but these women snubbed me and would not let me try the dress on. I was very upset and let the bride and rest of the bridal party know about my terrible experience and we will not be ordering our dresses from the Nordstrom Wedding Suite. I apologize that I did not know about the Appointment Policy, but I did not need to be treated rudely by the two woman at the store on Saturday, March 24th. They really need to work on their customer service skills and could have treated me with respect. I will no longer shop here.

I went to Nordstrom for my first dress appointment and Theresa had my family all pick one dress they loved (so everyone could see me in something they wanted!) and then she and I went shopping. She truly knows what looks best on a bride to be. All of the dresses that she pulled for me were STUNNING. Since I wasn’t ready to buy anything at my first appointment, I decided to go back in several weeks for the Hayley Paige trunk show. That’s where I found my dress :) Theresa specifically picked it out for me, I wouldn’t have picked it out just from the hanger but it was the one. I knew as soon as I put it on. Honestly it was a great experience! I felt so comfortable there and Theresa really was the perfect consultant for me!
