North Star Gatherings is the PERFECT wedding venue - there is truly no other way to describe it. From start to finish, the staff was nothing short of amazing. They went above and beyond to help us with everything, from finding vendors to perfecting our room layout. Their genuine care for our big day alleviated a lot of the stress from planning the wedding. I also need to shoutout the 360 panoramic views of the mountains that you get at NSG. It is beautiful! My guests are still raving about how gorgeous it was. And don't even get me started on the sunset... w o w !
If you're looking for a venue that has it all, North Star Gatherings is it!
We had an incredible experience with North Star Gatherings for our wedding. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.
Working with the team was great—they were easy to communicate with and made the entire process smooth. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding.
I truly have no words to explain how wonderful North Star Gatherings is. Truly the most beautiful place in the world to get married. The venue is beyond gorgeous and our guests were so in awe of the view! We knew the moment we toured North Star that we were getting married there. Sydney was amazing to work with leading up to the event and on the day of. Everything went smoothly the day of. We love love love North Star and hope that we can come back one day.
North Star Gatherings is a dream. We're from Chicago but had a big vision of getting married in the mountains. I still can't believe we pulled it off without ever visiting the venue ahead of our wedding day.
The team was lovely to communicate/collaborate with throughout the planning process, recommended incredible vendors who knew the space well, and--day of--made sure everything was set up according to plan.
But the star of the show is, of course, the breathtaking views. It's a truly amazing location. I'm sure there are plenty of venues deep in the mountains, but we gravitated to North Star Gatherings because of its proximity to the Denver airport (all our guests were flying in), its accessibility for family members who aren't up for a hike, and the modern style of the venue itself. It was perfect for us in every way.
THE BEST! Since the first day working with them they made it super easy and we loved that they made a group for everyone that booked the venue to ask questions and get some opinions from past and future couples. The views are amazing and worth every penny.
WOW!! STUNNING!! We had our wedding at NSG and I can’t explain enough how perfect everything was. The views were beautiful, the staff are extraordinary, and guests can’t stop raving about how wonderful the experience was there. We’d get married 100000 times again here. We need more of our friends to get married here so we can attend another wedding! You can’t find a better venue and views for a wedding! I can’t say enough amazing things about this venue and the wonderful people who come along with it
Highly recommend North Star Gatherings as a wedding venue!!! Everyone was so helpful during the planning process, were friendly and effective on the day of the wedding, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. All of our guests were from out of town and are still talking about how beautiful the venue and mountains were.
I never thought I would be writing this post and especially about the venue we had,but I feel like if I don’t warn people of what might happen it would be a huge disservice to upcoming brides so here we go..
North Star Gatherings- The venue is incredible, everything we hoped for and more aesthetically. We had our wedding in October, specifically a day it snowed. I could care less about the snow and was very much communicating that to the venue long before our day. Our ceremony was short so I knew people wouldn’t be outside long and everyone that came to our wedding was fine with it as well. From the second I walked into the venue my wedding planner( who was AMAZING) communicated to me that the venue manger was already panicking about any snow that day and was potentially trying to make us leave early. I didn’t think much of it because it’s Colorado, it snows and it’s a venue in the mountains so I figured they would be prepared for this, boy was I wrong.
Every time I saw the venue manger she was panicking. She said about 30 seconds worth of conversation to me and my fiancé the ENTIRE day but was telling everyone else. Finally my wedding planner said to me as we were eating dinner, the venue manger had called the owners( who weren’t at the venue) and the owners are saying we have to leave. We had the venue until 11pm and we had everyone on shuttles by 7pm. To say this was a giant disappointment is an understatement since only 3 people felt uncomfortable and that was only the people with the venue, none of my other vendors felt like we need to leave that early.
After our wedding I emailed the venue to express my huge disappointment in the day which was received by an apology from the manager over the venue( not ours that day) and a non apology from the owners. They did give us a refund for the time not spent there but that doesn’t even come close to making things right. Some of our other vendors will not give refunds because they didn’t make the call the venue did.
After talking about this situation with several people in the wedding business it sounds like this isn’t the first time they haven’t been prepared for winter weather and yet nothing has changed. So please please be careful about when you book NSG and if you do I would get in writing their plan if there is weather they don’t feel comfortable with.
I just got to work with North Star for the first time as a planner. Everything was AMAZING! The venue itself is stunning, and the staff (Sydney & Audrey) were top notch. This was a wedding with a ton of moving parts and lots of decor. They were flexible when plans needed to change, extremely helpful to problem solve, attentive and easy to find when needed, and more than happy to do whatever was needed to make the clients feel special. They made my job easy and set me up for success. I could not recommend this venue and their team more! They really love what they do and care about the people they work with.
We just celebrated our perfect July wedding and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! The staff at North Star Gatherings were not only insanely helpful with everything we ever needed during the planning phase, but also brought the most spectacular hype energy on the day of! We are so grateful for Sydney who always answering my many questions with so much grace and Audrey for her fantastic energy and assistance on the day of. We are still pinching ourselves from this perfect day-it was truly a dream come true. The ceremony deck, the views… the colorful Colorado sunset-swooning! Thank you for being the absolute perfect venue and for being the most spectacular backdrop for celebrating our love. Cheers! We love NSG!
This venue was an absolutely stunning place to get married. All of my guests are still raving to me to this day about the views. If you want the true Colorado experience this is the place to have your wedding. I give our overall experience 5 stars and I would absolutely do it again with them but there were both positive and a few negative experiences we had with this venue. We loved our contacts with Sinthya and Sydney. They both were so extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Sydney answered every single one of my million questions leading up to the wedding. We were able to meet the owners at a few of the open houses and while Evin was kindhearted and welcoming, Barry did not display the same demeanor at all. I will say despite that - I had a huge and extra vision of having a massive disco ball at my wedding. The venue was not already equipped to handle such an object but they were completely willing to install and provide the rigging necessary to make the disco ball a reality for me. I assume Barry worked behind the scenes on this and we are VERY grateful because the end result was stunning and everything we wanted and more. Another positive was just the overall communication and awareness set up by the venue in all aspects. They welcome all booked brides into a group where they can share information and help each other plan. Sydney is very active there and provided so much guidance. I love that they allow you to choose (mostly) all of your own vendors and that they provide you a recommendation list and a huge document with a bunch of wedding planning guidance. One huge negative for me was the transportation piece. The venue does not allow overnight parking which is extremely tough when you typically have a lot of people drinking at your wedding and the wedding is way the heck far into the mountains. Therefore, it really forces you to consider shuttling all of your guests. The venue did not do a great job preparing us for the extremely high cost or difficulty that would ensue with transportation. I will say I have already made this complaint to them and they listened with open ears. They are a fairly new venue and probably still working out some kinks. The venue prepared us to spend a couple thousand on shuttles and due to the lack of companies willing to drive up there (many companies seem to have serviced there in the past and ended up backing out of servicing this venue) the only options I could find with availability for my date put me in the $6k plus range. Mind you, I started reaching out to companies a year in advance. Had I been prepared for this properly this would have completely changed my mind in booking this venue. Another issue I found with this was the actual delivery of my guests. The venue is already at 9k ft elevation and it sits up a small hill from the parking lot. If you cannot get the shuttles to drive up to the front door (which ended up happening for me and sounds like for many previous couples) then your guests are forced to walk up a hill at elevation, which is a miserable thing to force your older guests to do. That really bummed me out. I would hope the venue would provide golf carts or some sort of assistance for this but they do not at all. The wedding day itself was GORGEOUS and went smoothly overall. I am glad I chose North Star and my guests had a phenomenal time and the pictures are just breathtaking, like a dream.
To this day, we still can’t remember how we found out about North Star Gatherings, but we’ll just go with our guardian angel, since this is where they would’ve led us anyways. Where oh where to begin… this place is Magical. When we set out to find a venue in CO, we made ourselves a little road trip tour for a weekend all over and this place was the one that we could not stop thinking about. We live in FL and did a destination wedding in CO where we wanted to share with our family members the enchantment that comes from being in the mountains. The ceremony deck at NSG left us in awe. There is nothing like it. There are so many venues to choose from and it can become a balancing act of pros and cons. The view, the décor, the cost, the food/bev options, the hotel, etc. It gets overwhelming. With NSG, we found that we could a la cart to ensure almost all of our pros for a venue. It was simple from the standpoint of only having to pay a flat cost to secure the venue. That challenge, if you’re up for it, is assembling the team yourself; finding the caterer, florist, DJ, etc. To us, we saw this as a pro, because it meant we could have complete control over all of these aspects of our special day instead of being stuck with the venues in house vendors. The venue itself is so beautifully designed and is so new, which we loved. The deck is obviously the main selling point with a view that will leave a mark on your memory that is unforgettable. We loved that after our ceremony, our guests would be able to continue to soak up the views on the covered side deck where we did our cocktail hour. Inside, the venue is so spacious and is a wonderful canvas to paint your dream wedding design onto. They didn’t overdo the interior, but they also didn’t overlook the details that were put in place. The fireplace is such a beautiful feature to the space as well as the chandeliers. We loved everything about this venue. Literally perfect. The staff was so easy to work with and once you book, you get access to a couple’s FB group which was amazing! Everyone shares ideas about things they did, people ask questions about things you could do, and not only are prior/upcoming couples helpful, but the staff is also in the group and is so helpful with questions pertaining to policies, dimensions, layouts, amenities, rules, etc. We feel so lucky to have had our wedding here and are so thankful to the staff for accommodating us for our special day!
North Star Gatherings is where magic happens. If you are looking for the perfect blend of mountain seclusion and modern dreaminess, you have found it. We loved this venue from the moment we saw photos of it, but seeing it in person and working with the staff has really elevated our appreciation for it in a way that's hard to describe. The entire North Star team are the sweetest, most helpful, and best cheerleaders you can hope for. It's clear that they truly care about the couples they work with; they are so quick to answer questions, willing to help work with your vision, and just all around genuine, professional, and wonderful people. The venue itself is stunning; it truly feels as though you have rented out an entire mountain for the night. Guests had compliments pouring in over the location and it was such a destination, even with us just coming up from Denver. We would so highly recommend North Star for an event space and will forever hold a special place in our hearts for it!
We got married on June 11,2022. North Star really has incredible views. The space is modern and welcoming. Thankfully the geodome has portable AC units now because on our wedding day it was closed until my husband arrived and it was way too hot in there so they had to change in the bathrooms. We also wished that the North Star representative had opened the windows up earlier to help improve air flow in the venue. Overall, we had a great time, just be ready to plan a little extra when you book North Star.
This is the venue of all venues! I truly feel completely in love with North Star Gatherings, the team behind the scenes and how the day completely went off without a hitch.
I started our wedding planning like all brides, knowing that the venue dictated everything. I tried not to just put all my eggs in one basket, but it was so hard not too. NSG was always at the top of the list and after reviewing all options with my fiance, we both agreed this venue had everything we wanted and could envision our day here.
From the tour we sent my parents-in-law to the contractual discussions to the thousands of questions and preparations in between, the team at NSG was super communicative and AMAZING. Sydney is a rockstar and made my life so much easier with the self-planning I did leading up to the wedding. Not to mention the community this venue has with the internal facebook group and all the help you get from upcoming/previous brides.
You will not regret booking this place. I would do it all over if I could and pay triple the price, because this place is truly priceless. The team is passionate about what they do, they work with amazing vendors around the state and your guests will have literally most incredible time. Still to this day, guests rave over the views, the drive up, the unique location being the middle of the woods and so serene and ended with the gorgeous sunset we had. Truly the best views I have ever seen. Our photos are incredible because of the location and views honestly.
BOOK NSG!!! You will completely fall in love with everything it has to offer.
Choosing North Star Gatherings for our wedding venue was truly the best decision that my husband and I made during our wedding planning process. If you want a venue that will blow your guests away and make your photos look straight out of a mountain bridal magazine then book this venue!!
Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the staff is responsive and this venue allows you to create your wedding day however you wish. The facebook group of booked couples is another added bonus to this venue! It is a great space to collect ideas and suggestions from other couples.
Overall I highly recommend this venue to any engaged couple!
If it’s available, get married here. Trust me. You won’t regret it. Working with North Star Gatherings was so easy. Our wedding went so smoothly and everyone could not stop talking about how breathtaking our venue was!
We love North Star Gatherings for SO many reasons. First of all, you're supporting a small, family-run business which is awesome. The other highlights: amazing views, gorgeous building, runs on solar. Our August 2021 wedding sadly fell on a day where the air quality was so bad you couldn't see any of the mountains in the distance. This was a huge bummer but even without those signature views, we had an amazing experience at North Star Gatherings. Their staff was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Our shuttle actually got stuck at the end of the night after missing the turn which was kind of a nightmare. But Barry took it upon himself to try to get the driver out which was really kind of him! Our only suggestion would be adding a larger sign at the entrance off the road to avoid future issues like this. We had some other guests miss the turn into the driveway as well and I think better signage would really help!
let me preface this by saying, this venue is beautiful in every aspect. the attention to detail, the decor, the views.. it was everything I had dreamed of for my big day, and boy are my wedding pictures GORGEOUS.
I had booked North Star Gatherings before the venue was done being built, because I trusted in their vision, I believed in their reasoning and the view from the would be back deck was something out of the movies. I couldn't wait for my big day here.. and then the pandemic hit.
See my now husband and I live out of state, as did about 70% of our invited guests. When covid hit many people who had planned on coming no longer felt safe traveling, and we decided for the health and safety of our guests it would be best to postpone until next year. However when I reached out to Evin regarding rescheduling I was told I could 1. pick a Monday-Thursday in 2021 (which was pointless after talking to my guests because just as many who werent coming because of covid weren't going to be able to take extra time off for an out of state wedding on a tuesday)
OR
2. forfeit the $4,000.00 I had already paid and begin paying their new pricing of $7,000.00 for a wedding on a weekend in 2021.
So we would have been paying $11,000.00 for a box on top of a rock. 🤷♀️
11k for a building, nothing else, not even your rehearsal are included.
these were the options I was given during a GLOBAL HEALTH PANDEMIC if I wanted to ensure a safe wedding for myself and my guests. I was told that many venues were handling this the same, and that they were actually being more accommodating than some. However, after reaching out to other venues and brides, it seemed this "policy" was few and far between.
Being that we could not financially afford to lose $4,000.00 at this time, we were forced to proceed with the wedding. I got to marry my best friend with a killer view, and while my day was everything I had hoped it would be in most aspects theres still the fact that we paid over $5,000.00 for a building for 60 people, because that's what our 120 guest count was reduced to.
To add to it, the rules were constantly changing as my wedding day approached which just added extra stress to an already stressful situation. You don't need a seating chart, you do need a seating chart. And then there was the email that requested a guest list with first and last names and a contact number, something that was never once discussed before and something I was not willing to oblige to.
The venue is beautiful, and the views are breathtaking. But if you can find a view you love with owners who care just a SMIDGE about others over their financial gain, go there.
Gorgeous venue! The Mountain views are stunning, I loved being able to have our wedding at North Star Gatherings! Evan and Barry were awesome to work with and I would highly recommend getting married here!
