Northeast Event Design

process, present and professional during the wedding day, and was truly one of the biggest reasons why the day of ran smoothly as it did and the main reason why our dance floor was such a blast. People didn't want the party to end! We had such a great experience with Northeast Event Design!

anny’s DJ skills are next level and he had the dance floor completely packed from the beginning of the night until the venue shut us down after midnight. Thanks to Danny, our wedding reception was an unforgettable party. We’d recommend him without hesitation.

organized, professional, creative, and it felt like he really cared about making our day special and fun for everyone. Our ceremony and reception felt flawless! Having a great DJ made all the difference. Everyone had a blast and many guests mentioned how awesome the music was. The uplighting in our wedding color added a nice personalized touch to the event space during dinner and then the changing colors was so fun during the dancing. We also added the social media selfie booth which was a big hit! We highly recommend going with Northeast Event Design!!

he YouTube link I made a special performance for my husband and Dan was in charge of making a light show that went with our choreography, he did such a perfect job! My venue even told me the wrong dance floor size but he problem solved without involving me and still made my performance look amazing🙏 again, when I get more photos / videos back from my vendors I’ll update my reviews! Communication with him was easy and no stress on me Thanks for everything Danny!

ly efficient and organized, he created a magical atmosphere based on the bride and groom's vision. He knew his crowd well and kept the dance floor rocking the entire evening. The wedding reception was beyond our expectations and we owe it all to Danny’s EXTRAORDINARY talent!

ig day goes smoothly. We met with Danny a few weeks before our big day and we chatted for three hours. He is super easy to work with and made sure we were going to be taken care of. He was there to support the other vendors if need be. Danny really listened to what we envisioned for our music for each part of the big day. He had great recommendations and really thought out the whole process. The music was perfect, and our dance floor was always packed! We even wanted a fun walkout dance with all of our guests but we were nervous it wouldn’t go well. Danny ensured us, he could make it happen- and it went better than we ever could have imagined. He made sure music was appropriate for all ages. I would recommend Danny to any one. Thanks again for making our big day so special.

enjoyed cocktail up there as well) and went down to the base for the reception, which required good logistics and planning for equipment. He sent out a detailed worksheet/questionnaire to complete ahead of time and then a couple months before the wedding we met in person to fine-tune everything, which was great. He really cares about getting to know his clients and making sure the day is everything they want. I have to say, he nailed it- from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. Our dance floor was lit UP! 10/10 highly recommend!

rganized and professional while making sure we were having fun throughout the planning process. He has all equipment and options you would ever need and everything went super smoothly from a technical perspective. We are admittedly super picky about our playlists, and were very specific about the selections for ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. Danny was so understanding and wanted our day to be perfectly ours. We had a blast on the dancefloor and everyone asked how/where we found such an amazing DJ! Thank you Danny!

nd I were two weeks out from our wedding and realized we needed to change our DJ. We attended a wedding they worked and it was filled with awkward gaps and technical issues. I called 5 DJs and the moment Danny picked up, I could already tell he was the guy. Danny, one of the owners, was thoughtful, walked through his system and process, and immediately put me at ease that there would be no issues the day of. Danny even provided his own generator to guarantee no technical difficulties. Danny was more than we had budgeted, but we had the feeling it would be worth it. We then had a final phone call with Danny, he wanted to make sure every minute of the wedding was understood so he could make sure from his end the day was perfect. The wedding went perfectly. We got married in a field with no power and Danny made sure the ceremony was heard by everyone, the mics worked, and there was no interference even with multiple pastors up front and mics on. During the dinner portion of the reception, Danny kept the music at a SPEAKING LEVEL. Let's all be honest, this alone should make you hire him. Think back to every wedding you've had to literally yell to your neighbor to talk and vented under your breath at how bad the DJ was and how you hated you would wake up the next day horse. NOT DANNY. All our guests were able to talk to each other and catch up. Every toast and reception moment was perfectly choreographed, without a single awkward pause or gap. He kept everyone smiling and happy to be there. Then, the moment you've all been waiting for, the dancing. As said a lot earlier, I've worked or been to over 75 weddings. Most of the time the dance floor dies after 5-10 songs and never really comes back to full strength. Our dance floor was constantly full and people were having the time of their lives. I give Danny major credit here for his song choice and being able to effortlessly read the room to keep everyone happy. DJs have the tricky job of hosting an event and being a great host and also playing good music that people like. Most DJs are bad at both or bad at least one, but Danny was perfect at both. Heck, my wife and I even crowd surfed at our own wedding and he listened to our request to not do any line dancing. All in all, Danny was our best vendor and the best addition to our wedding. He took our wedding from what would have been a 5/10 with the other DJ to a 20/10 (maybe bias but you know how it goes). I promise hiring Danny and Northeast Event is worth every penny. We had tried to save money on our DJ originally and so glad we pivoted to Danny. He was our event MC and hosted our wedding better than I've ever seen. Hire Danny. You'll likely regret at least something about your wedding but Danny won't be it. So stop reading this review and pay the man!

cares about the people he works with and it shows! Every question is answered very quickly. There were no surprises. He is truly the best! Every addition to the night exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Greg and his team for every occasion.

s from one song to another - the dance floor never lulled. We gave him a Do Not Play list and other than that, the floor was all his and he did not disappoint! I would HIGHLY recommend for any of your special occasions.

nd helpful in the lead up to the event. He made everything so easy and painless! On the day of he was on top of everything and helped make sure the all the timing of the wedding went off without a hitch. The music was amazing and fun! He had people dancing the whole time! And Greg offers so much more than that with fun lighting and perfect MC work. I can’t say enough good things about our experience working the Greg! We HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing a DJ for any event!

TW...took him less than a day to respond) to all of the 1:1 personal consultations planning our songs, special events / requests, he is extremely professional, personal and so easy to work with. We were laughing with him on every zoom call as we discussed the details of our wedding. What we loved most was his creativity and his ability to keep our guests on the dance floor. All of our trust went into him planning the music for our special day. He did not disappoint!! I would HIGHLY recommend him for any of your special occasions! Greg is a rock star!!!

h rescheduling and extremely communicative during those uncertain times. Fast forward to our wedding this summer, which was absolutely amazing thanks to Greg and his services. Greg mic’d my officiant and husband for our ceremony, set up a microphone for readings to be done and had two areas set up for music to be played. Everything Greg was involved with was wonderful and went flawlessly. We met prior to our wedding and he made sure to cater to our wants for all of the music choices. Greg made all my wedding dance party dreams come true, if I was to ever plan another event in which I needed a DJ, Greg would be my first choice. 10/10 would recommend his services, he is the best in the industry.

Danny was very thorough with the planning process - making sure that all of my husband & I's wants/needs were met. He kept the whole wedding day going in a timely fashion. Most importantly - the music was THE BEST. Danny played all of the songs we wanted to hear plus some. We seriously could not have asked for a better DJ!!! Multiple guests asked for his contact information afterward. We can't thank Danny enough!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

since our original DJ was unavailable on our new date. Danny, at first, seemed very collaborative and seemed to get my husband and I's vision but that fell apart day of. We did not need Danny for the ceremony or cocktail hour, only for the reception portion so it should have been pretty cut and dry. We had NUMEROUS phone calls with myself, my planner, my husband, and my Mom. I shared our vision. I shared my likes and dislikes. I shared a playlist even and Danny quiet frankly still messed it up- there is no better way to phrase it- and even a month later I am still upset. I had explicitly said no sappy songs, wanted club jams, wanted NO top 40 songs, and wanted our guest choices played. Danny did the exact opposite of that. Worst of all he messed up my parents and bridal/groomsmen entrances! And there were only 3 different songs that Danny needed to go through. That was it. Nothing crazy. It was all confirmed ahead of time, and understood by Danny and our planner. Come the day of my parents were supposed to be introduced first and they were supposed to have a special entrance planned. Danny did not play what he was supposed to and instead of correcting it he MESSED UP A SECOND TIME and played the wrong song a second time and their whole ONCE IN A LIFETIME MOMENT got completely screwed up by someone who this was their one job. My MOH and Best Man are up next, he gets THEIR song wrong ALSO! Our next Bridesmaid and Groomsman are up, THEIR song is also wrong. The only 2 songs that were correct was our flower girls and our song. It ruined the whole entrance and after 3 YEARS of waiting for this moment, I expected it to be perfect. It was such a let down to be honest. Danny also did nothing to promote the use of the Photo Booth that we had rented from him and many guests did not know about it or utilize it which was very disappointing to me. All and all I was very disappointed and disheartened with the service I received especially for the price. I thought we had many, very comprehensive phone call but it basically felt like Danny took what I said and did what he wanted to do anyway which I dislike immensely. The only reason he got 2 stars instead of 1 is because my guests were none the wiser on the music choices. They only witnessed the entrance screw up. This is my opinion from my experience solely.

ight on how we could give our guests the best experience. Danny’s set up at our venue was absolutely amazing. The uplighting and the mirror photo booth are absolutely musts as they set the mood and kept our guests out of their seats. Danny played our must haves but he read the room and kept selecting tracks that had all of our guests moving and dancing. All night long and days after the wedding, all of our guests could not stop talking about how he was the best DJ at any wedding they have attended! We truly can’t recommend him enough!

with his communication, and patient with me with my last minute changes and decisions. During our final meeting, Danny was prepared, had clearly read through all of our paperwork and asked really insightful questions. Additional to that, Danny made many suggestions that I never would have thought about for different parts of the ceremony and reception. Music is a HUGE part of my husband's life and has now become a huge part of mine. We had many meaningful and special songs we wanted played and Danny did them all--- including flawlessly throwing in a surprise song during my entrance to the ceremony!! Our dance floor never stopped the whole night and a huge part of that was Danny's seamless transitions, order of songs, the props he provided, and his ability to pump everyone up. We could not be happier with how our wedding day went and a big part of that is props to Danny. Not to mention--- the lighting, monogram, and tv on his stand added so much to the reception! We HIGHLY recommend the services of Northeast Event Design! :)

r the obstacles. What can I say? This is the guy who makes or breaks a wedding! And he didn’t disappoint. Throughout the craziness of this summer’s planning Greg was always in contact and always made us feel at ease about any worries we may have had. He was absolutely fantastic. Easy to talk to. Great voice! Awesome communication! And really cares...sincerely. Greg was like having another party planner on the day of and leading up to our wedding. He wanted to know all of the details and made us feel super relaxed about our scheduling and plans for the big day. We knew whatever might come up would be managed and we wouldn’t even notice. He was just the extra security we needed knowing he had all the bases covered. He was over prepared and brought tons of extra cables and patch cords for video or whatever was needed. He had plenty of backup setup just in case. We knew he could fill in if needed for the ceremony musicians and cocktail hour. We sent him a playlist of just our general interest of music we listened and songs we absolutely wanted to hear. He helped us out with last minute details; setting us up with some outdoor lighting and even surprised us with personalized graphic for the DJ booth! We had so much fun and regardless of being an intimate wedding we felt our small group was having the best time. I can honestly say my husband and I danced the WHOLE night!!! And we got so many compliments about our DJ! Thank you Greg!

ing MANY weddings over the years we understand how important it is to have a skilled DJ. We had an initial meeting with Danny to discuss our vision and multiple check-ins over the months leading up to our wedding to make sure all the details were perfectly planned. He listened to everything we wanted he was extremely thorough and also treated us like we had been friends for years. When our wedding day arrived we were completely at ease knowing that Danny had us covered. His attention to detail was impeccable and exceeded our already high expectations. We also received a ton of positive feedback from our guests. Worth every penny.

entire night. Leading up to the wedding, Danny is very responsive, easy going, and accommodating. He helped us pick out the perfect songs for every part of the day, and his custom display and set up is beautiful, it adds so much to the overall look. Aside from being such talented DJ, Danny also plays a huge role in the sticking to the timeline. He worked very closely with our day of coordinator to make sure he knew every detail of the day. He was able to guide people to the next location/ event, while maintaining the perfect flow to the evening. Danny even pays attention to the finer details, he keeps an eye on the clock to make sure we have time for everything... ie reminding us when it was time for sunset photos. I can’t say enough great things about Danny, I would hands down recommend him to everyone I know. We are so grateful to have him be a part of the most amazing day!!

Bruin and Northeast Event Design is their professionalism. He was always very responsive, which is not always the case with wedding vendors. Danny takes the time to learn about you as a couple, your families, and the type of reception you are envisioning in an effort to make the music and MC portions of the wedding just right. Danny took the time to answer our series of questions while also having some for us, a number of which we would not have considered were it not for him. His care and attention to detail is evident throughout. Danny was prepared to focus on our long list of must-play's, but more than ready to read the crowd and get people moving on the dance floor. Danny's professionalism, attentiveness, and good nature made the wedding music planning easy and fun while providing a great sense of comfort (which if you are starting or going through the planning process is invaluable so you can focus on all the other issues that require your attention).

rough email, and chat on the phone to brainstorm and finalize the details for our reception. He is incredibly professional and brings a lot of talent to the format of a wedding reception. The music was amazing and our guests danced the entire night. Greg expertly handled a couple of awkward situations when our venue's fire alarm kept going off. He kept guests calmed and entertained by playing songs related to fire drills. The photo booth Greg and his team set up was a massive hit and we loved getting the digital copies and hard copies of the photos. I would highly recommend Greg Young and Northeast Event Design for your wedding reception to create a memorable and fun experience. Our guests are still talking about how fun the wedding was! Thank you Greg!

ng! So helpful throughout the whole entire wedding planning process! I’m the most indecisive person there is and Danny was so helpful sending us all kinds of song lists to choose from. And so patient with me!! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

he helm to make sure everything ran on time and without issue. He even went above & beyond by checking in with us throughout the night to ask if there was anything we needed. We would 100% recommend Danny for anyone getting married or hosting an event where music & a good time are on the agenda!

nny exceeded all of our expectations from start to finish. We booked him based on his fabulous reviews and we are here to say that he truly set the tone for our wedding reception in such a natural, organized, collaborative, and FUN way! We had a few special requests and specific details and Danny shared in our excitement and helped us execute them all seamlessly. He was communicative from start to finish and always responded quickly to emails. He took the time to get to know us and understand our crowd to ensure that everyone had the best time possible. Danny ALWAYS made sure we knew what to anticipate at every point during the reception timeline which was extremely helpful for everyone. He communicated with each person doing a speech to make sure they knew when they were on deck, where to put their toasting glass, where the mic would be etc. We hope that someday we have another opportunity to book Danny because not only is he an incredibly talented and organized professional, he is a phenomenal and genuine person.

ainment was horrible, either playing music that was engaging or appealing only to a small number of people (by being too clubby, or by using such tired, predictable and cheesy music) or by having an emcee who was so obnoxious and made the whole night about themselves. We knew that our friends and family were coming to celebrate and dance, and so we interviewed a bunch of bands and a few DJs trying to find the right people to lead our party. We ultimately decided to book with Northeast Event Design. This was a fantastic decision! Throughout the planning process Greg was a delight to work with! He was responsive, promptly answering all of our questions, and was really helpful in providing suggestions, while still making sure that our wedding reflected our vision for the day. He was so great at personalizing and organizing the day to make sure it was truly OUR wedding. Our wedding was an absolute blast! Seriously, the dance floor was packed all night. If Greg can make a playlist that kept our 85-year-old grandparents, our teenaged cousins, our 20- and 30-something friends and our parents and their friends all dancing all night, then he can truly do anything!

his profession, keeping up on the latest trends in entertainment and music! He kept the party going until the very end and all the guests raved about how great the music was throughout the entire night! I will never use any other company and HIGHLY recommend Northeast Event Design! They are worth every penny and I would give them 10 stars if I could! The BEST in the business, hands down!!!

ne of the groomsmen. The highest praise I can give Greg is the best kind of vendor, the one you don't have to worry about. He showed up well in advanced, double checked with us several times, and kept the dance floor hopping. Any issues or problems that he incurred during our event, he handled them himself or grabbed someone else, and left us to enjoy the night. He knew the secret to getting people on the floor was to get the kids out there dancing, and even got my side of the family that historically never danced. The reception went off with out a hitch, any time changes we need to make to accommodate running a few minutes late he rolled with really well. The reception could not have been better and that is in large part to Greg's great skill at MCing and keeping the floor packed

l and ensured that everything went smoothly for us throughout the day. Along with the music, Danny provided an entertainment setup with a monogram screen of our names he designed, as well as uplighting throughout our barn venue, that tied it all together beautifully. We would both highly recommend Danny, and Northeast Event Design, to be a part of your big day, or any party you are planning!

away from the wedding planning process with his responsiveness and detailed questions. He made an effort to get to know us which was really nice. He also provided us with a detailed questionnaire to guide us through the process of the timing for the night and music we wanted for each part of the reception. He thought of ideas that hadn’t crossed our minds, but added a lot to the night. We loved that he wanted to meet in person to go through the questionnaire with us so he could introduce himself before the reception too. During the reception he checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were happy, to let us know certain announcements were about to be made and to make sure the names for intros were pronounced correctly. He kept the dance floor packed the whole night and did a great job reading the crowd so he knew when to switch up the music. During the night I had a few friends come up to me and tell me the music so far was fantastic. He played a great mix of everything from oldies for our parents generation to 90s for our friends to some fun dance music for when we broke out the glow sticks at the end of the night. He even surprised us with special foam glow sticks to go along with ours. I could go on and on, but bottom line is you won’t be upset if you go with Danny and Northeast Event Design. He was phenomenal!

- Greg and his team will work tirelessly to make sure your event goes off with out a hitch. Not only is Greg just an all around great guy and easy/fun to work with - but he's so clearly passionate about his work, and it shines through in many different ways. He was one of our most organized vendors, and was constantly planning and thinking ahead about specific details that were unique to our venue and were a true mark of a professional and veteran in this field. Our ceremony was rather remote with minimal power capabilities and a lot of moving parts, but Greg never missed a beat and all the songs lined up perfectly - and the microphones were just the right volume. Greg also worked with us to craft tailored playlists for our reception and cocktail hour that fit our personality as a couple perfectly - and he kept the dance floor packed the whole night! Also - a quick note on lighting...I never realized how much a few small key lighting details can transform a space until we saw Greg's vision come to life. When in doubt - Go with the lighting options! If that wasn't enough, Greg also remixed a couple of songs just for us - because that's just the kind of guy he is! We truly cannot recommend Greg and Northeast Event Design enough - we'll never use another DJ/Event Company!

er a few conversations over the phone I knew he was our guy! He was incredibly easy going, was flexible with our non-traditional requests and created such a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere for our guests during cocktail hour and dinner and then a party vibe for dancing! I would HIGHLY recommend Greg and Northeast Event Design!

e reception.

tly what we had imagined cannot be understated! The entire wedding was on the dance floor the entire night! Our wedding would not have been nearly as special had it not been for Danny! Choosing Northeast Event Designs should be the easiest decision you make for your whole wedding, and I promise Danny will make it the most fun wedding any of your guests have ever attended!

one's wedding entertainment is one of the best investments you can make when planning your day. Which is why we were fortunate to meet Greg at the 2017 Freeport Wedding Show. He was kind, far from salesy, and willing to let us think things through. After the wedding show, we met up with Greg at a local Dunkin Donuts and ended up closing the place down... little did we know it'd become a trend when later we closed down a local restuarant. Let's just say that sometimes in life you click with people and we definitely did with him. We knew he'd be the perfect DJ for our wedding! Greg was amazing to work with from start to finish. He gave us all our options and even went out of his way to go to our venue with us to see it in person and test out lighting. He was understanding and came through with every one of our requests. Fast forward to our wedding day and Greg did not disappoint! He worked well with our wedding coordinators, family, and friends. He truly ran the show. He knew what songs to play to keep the dancing going right until the last song! Not only did we get the best DJ around but gained a friend in the process. If you're looking for a DJ, in need of lighting, or wedding entertainment, we would recommend Northeast Event Design 10 out of 10 times! XO, Corey & Maija Dyke

our tastes. The music he played added to the fun and joy of our wedding day. Would highly recommend Greg if you are looking for fun affordable music.

lanning process, responded to emails in a timely manner, and met with us prior to our event to walk through our entire timeline. Although our venue came with a day of coordinator, it was Dan who oversaw the entire day and made our wedding run smoothly. He worked seamlessly with our vendors, checked in on us throughout the event, and honored many of our guests late night dance requests! If you are looking for an "all in one" DJ and Emcee to make your event one to remember for both you and your guests, Northeast Event Design is the way to go. I would highly recommend Dan as he took the responsibility of our most important day incredibly seriously and delivered ten fold!

not be disappointed in any way 💙

not about him, but rather delivering a celebration that met (and exceeded) our desires. From the very beginning to end, he was highly professional, responsive, consciencious, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He followed the vision and direction we offered (plays / do-not-plays, etc).... and where we gave him creative license, he hit a home run. He has a unique talent for reading the vibe / energy of the crowd and responding with just the right music. We had countless guests comment on how much they enjoyed the dance party. And truly, I (the bride) remember looking around the dance floor and noticing how HAPPY everyone seemed. It was awesome. We recommend without reservation!

ll our questions. At our wedding he kept our friends and family dancing and having fun all night long. After meeting with him we knew he would be great, but our wedding was absolutely perfect and so much fun with Greg as our DJ! A bunch of our friends have commented on how great he was too! Thanks Greg- you're the best!

ng vendors he has worked with. He was kind to guests and stayed on the timeline of the night perfectly. He kept the dance floor full and the guests happy. I also utilized the Photo Booth where he had fun props and he sent me a copy of all the photos within a week. If you are looking for the whole package, choose Danny and Northeast Event Design.

s the importance of the day very seriously. He kept everything moving smoothly, was quick to help when a snag in the timeline came up and spun absolute JAMS all night! So many people have mentioned to us that he was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding, and it's true. Danny is the top of his craft and if you don't book Northeast Event Design for your wedding or event than you're doing it wrong.

re his services matched exactly what we were looking for. He is a great communicator (phone, email, in person meetings) which was so helpful and gave us a sense of ease. Danny is extremely organized, professional, fun and has an overall positive energy. He was respectful of our budget, listened to what we wanted and never pressured more. This is hard to find in the wedding vendor business! Danny exceeded our expectations throughout the planning process. When we saw him in "action" on the day of the wedding...we were blown away to say the least. Danny was the glue that held our whole wedding together. Not only was he an incredible DJ and entertainer, he also acted as a day of wedding coordinator. He communicated with the wedding planner and photographer the entire evening to ensure we stuck to the timeline. His attention to detail was incredible and did so much for us behind the scenes. For example, as he gathered guests for dinner/speeches... he realized me and my husbands champagne flutes were empty for speeches/toasts. He grabbed them, headed to the bar and came back with champagne for us in seconds. He checked in with us throughout the reception to give us a heads up where we were at on time and guided our guests throughout the evening. This was so helpful because it really is a whirlwind when its your own wedding. He kept us on task which allowed us to do all the things we had planned for throughout the evening. As for the music aspect--AMAZING!!! The dance floor was full all night long. He made the reception so fun and energetic. Everyone was so sad when the night had to come to an end...we didn't want to get off the dance floor. If you are looking for a DJ...stop wasting your time reaching out to other vendors and hire Danny!! I promise he will make it the best event of your life. Thanks Danny!!! :)
