I would not recommend Northwest Weddings for day-of coordination. Alyssa and her assistant were extremely unorganized, which led to several stressful moments on what should have been a seamless day. They temporarily misplaced key items like the boutonnières, bouquets, rings, and petals. Instead of handling the pressure professionally, the assistant even pulled my mother aside during photos to express how stressed she was about setting up the reception—something a planner should manage without burdening the family.
Alyssa did not assist with the timeline at all and was outright rude to the bridal party, including our grandparents. Her lack of emotional intelligence was evident, as she continuously talked during intimate moments like first looks with my family. These are moments we can never get back, and her lack of awareness was incredibly frustrating.
If you’re looking for a wedding planner who is organized, professional, and emotionally attuned to the significance of the day, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Alyssa was TRULY the best thing we spent money on for our wedding. I am blown away by her professionalism, communication, and organization. When we first talked with Alyssa I was nervous about hiring a full service planner. Being a very “Type-A” bride I was worried no one could execute the vision I had like I could but I was SO WRONG! Alyssa was ready to go with vision board, table designs, amazing vendors, and the most contagious smile and energy. When she arrived on wedding day I could feel all of the stress instantly leave my mind. She gave me the biggest (and most needed!!) hug ever and brightened the room when she walked in. We got countless compliments from our parents, bridal party, and even guests that Alyssa was on top of it. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without Northwest Weddings help!!
I don’t think i’ll have enough room to talk about how AMAZING Alyssa and her team is. I hired Alyssa for 6 months of planning/day of coordination and she was essential to the success of my wedding. From having literally everything you could need with her to her bubbly personality I was pleasantly surprised all day. She even had our catering bring in cocktail snacks and drinks for us after photos. During the 6 months before my wedding I asked her a million questions and she always had a great answer. I felt SO supported and all of my wants for my wedding day were heard and executed on wedding day. If there’s one thing you take away from this review it’s HIRE NORTHWEST WEDDINGS!
We hired Alyssa for our wedding in January and she truly exceeded our expectations. I don’t even know where to begin with how much Alyssa helped! We originally hired her for just day of coordination but as the day got closer I felt like I was missing something so I scheduled a call with Alyssa. She is always super prompt in her email responses and even responded to my random texts! We went with the partial planning instead and it was the best choice we could’ve made for our wedding (and my sanity). Alyssa helped us the morning of by steaming all of the bridesmaids dresses, she was on top of it with the timeline all day, helped bustle my dress before cocktail hour and made sure everything was in order the rest of the night. Alyssa is the reason our wedding went so smoothly!! Thank you Northwest Weddings!
I hired Alyssa last minute for full service planning and it was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! She quickly provided all of the info we still needed for our wedding, helped us find the most amazing vendors, answered my texts late at night to ease my jitters (thanks alyssa!!) and her team was great on wedding day. Alyssa went above and beyond for me and my now husband and our day wouldn’t have been the same without her. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Northwest Weddings for even just day of! It was a no brainer for us to recommend her to our other engaged friends.
I hired Alyssa from Northwest Weddings for full-service wedding planning, expecting professionalism, organization, and someone to take some of the stress out of wedding planning. Instead, I was left managing details that should have been handled (contractually) and feeling like I paid for a service I didn’t receive.
Many contracted services were either incomplete or never provided. Budget tracking, installment due dates, and meeting notes were never shared. The photographer shot list was never created, and ceremony planning assistance was nonexistent. My save-the-date and invitation proofs were never provided, and the bridal party timeline was sent last minute only after I requested it.
On the wedding day, Alyssa left before 8:30pm, despite confirming she would be onsite until 10pm for speeches and dances. Mid-reception, she interrupted me to ask how I wanted items transported to my hotel—something that should have been handled without my involvement. A guest had a wardrobe malfunction but couldn’t fix it because Alyssa had already taken the sewing kit with her. My family members shared that she was rude at times before the ceremony and photos, and some felt slighted that she never introduced herself. Simple details were overlooked—my welcome sign wasn’t displayed as planned, and I was still asked about seating arrangements despite finalizing them weeks in advance.
The best thing Alyssa did was recommend great vendors—because they were the reason my wedding was a success, not her. If you’re looking for a planner who is present, proactive, and actually delivers on their contract, look elsewhere.
Alyssa was the BEST planner!! From start to finish, I knew I could trust Alyssa to bring our vision to life. She’s extremely organized, fun to work with and more than just a planner! I booked with NW Weddings almost 2 years before our wedding and the process was very detailed and stress free the entire time :)
Alyssa is THE BEST choice for your wedding planner! I had researched a few, but when our photographer suggested Alyssa (who, by the way, he'd never worked directly with at that point – he could simply tell she was amazing!), I could tell she was the right fit for us. We opted for the Coach and Coordinate Package, which was the ideal balance of support and freedom to plan. Alyssa was exceptionally kind and fun to work with throughout the entire process, and she was one of the main reasons I never felt stressed about anything wedding-related, even in those typically crazy final weeks.
She is incredibly organized, and her ability to coordinate everything behind the scenes without me having to do much at all was incredible. Her timeline was flawless, her communication with other vendors was extensive, and her energy is unmatched. She solved SO many little issues the day of – for example, hanging our accidentally-oversized chuppah cover by sewing it onto the structure, and having an email chain ready to show when there was a scheduling conflict at the place we were taking photos – and managed to keep everyone calm and, more importantly, having fun. We not only stayed on schedule, but were significantly ahead of it.
Alyssa is truly a dream to work with, and my husband and I are so glad that we hired her to coordinate our wedding!
If you are looking for a wedding planner look no further!!! Alyssa was absolutely perfect for all of our needs. From late night texts, finding and coordinating vendors, helping with invitation design, the list goes on and on - Alyssa does it all. We had Alyssa for full service but the best part about her set up is that you can customize her service to what works for you! Leading up to the wedding I felt so secure because Alyssa guided me through exactly what we needed to get through each step of the way. I am CONFIDENT our wedding day would not have gone so smoothly had Alyssa not been there! Once she got to the venue the day of the wedding, everything fell into place and my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. My mom was so impressed with how she took charge of the day which is the highest compliment in of itself! If anything didn't go according to plan, we don't know about it, because literally there were no accidents or mistakes in our iternary (and if they did happen I know for a fact Alyssa handled it ALL). Highly reccomend you hire Alyssa and her team if you are in the Chicago area!!!
Alyssa was absolutely amazing! Truly the final piece of our wedding puzzle - making the day run perfectly and free of stress! We used her for day-of coordination, so she started helping us 2 months out and it was so seamless! So thankful for sweet Alyssa!
Mary Kate handled everything on the day of the wedding so that I could enjoy it. She set up the reception perfectly and helped deal with a last minute crisis. Highly recommend Northwest Weddings for day of coordination so you can focus on having fun and soaking in the wedding rather than worrying about the details.
My husband and I booked Alyssa very early on in our process. We booked the partial planning package as we weren't looking for full service, but needed guidance along the way with planning our wedding. Alyssa was amazing when it came to emailing and scheduling calls to go over information. She really took the time to listen and address any concerns we may of had throughout the process. I am especially grateful that we hired her services because there were definitely hiccups along the way with our venue coordinator that I am not sure what I would have done without her. My only complaint is during the day of communication and organization could have been better. My spouse was unsure where to go or what to do and we had two coordinators on site that day. We both felt like one could have been with me and the girls while the other could have stuck with the guys. This could have also been because our venue coordinator was no where to be found and it felt disorganized because we didn't have the guidance from them. Other than that though I loved working with Alyssa. She was so sweet and kind and really made me feel like everything was under control. Thank you Alyssa for making our day special and one we will never forget!
Stop your search and hire Alyssa! She and her team made us feel so confident and at ease right from our first conversation. We hired Northwest Weddings for day of coordination and it was truly one of the best decisions we made. The schedule she put together was flawless and helped us stay on track the whole day. When my husband and I arrived at our venue, everything was set up perfectly and looked better than I ever imagined.
The week leading up/day of, I didn't get any questions from vendors and that's because Alyssa was coordinating everything so I had no reason to stress. Truly nothing went wrong, she is the best!!
Alyssa and her team are wonderful!! My experience with our day-of coordinator was absolutely incredible. From the moment we met her, she exuded warmth and professionalism. Throughout the planning process, she was always available to answer questions and offer guidance, which was such a relief during the sometimes stressful wedding planning period.
On the day of our wedding, she truly shined. She arrived early, with a big smile on her face, ready to tackle any task that came her way. She seamlessly coordinated with all of our vendors, ensuring that everyone was on the same page and that everything was set up according to our vision.
One of the things that stood out the most was how she handled unexpected situations. For example, when we realized that we did not bring 'reserved' signs for family, Alyssa calmly and quickly found a solution and brought signs with here - ensuring that our ceremony was perfect. It was such a relief to have someone with her level of experience and expertise handling these kinds of issues.
Throughout the day, she was a calming presence. She checked in with us regularly, making sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with how things were going. It was such a comfort to know that we could rely on her to make sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment of our special day.
Overall, I cannot recommend Alyssa enough. She was super kind, incredibly helpful, and just made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. If you're looking for someone with coordinator experience to make your day flow flawlessly, she is definitely the one to choose. She truly went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for everything she did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect.
Alyssa and her team were such a big help on my wedding day and the month beforehand! I’m terrible at making decisions so Alyssa helped me out on the finer details. She handled decorating the center pieces on the tables, setting up the place cards and getting all our decor in the right spots! It rained all day on my wedding day so we had to pivot and have the ceremony inside. Alyssa handled all the last minute arrangements and changes which helped cause zero stress on my end! She handled the communication with vendors and made sure everything was where it needed to be and that we stayed on schedule. I’m very grateful I hired Alyssa and her team! Thank you again for all your hard work!
I hired Alyssa for Partial Planning assistance. Looking back I probably could have done a lower package, but that is truly just because I am an organized and type-A kind of person. Alyssa was helpful in picking out vendors that fit our budget and the planning tool she gave us was seriously so helpful in in the lull periods of wedding planning, so I knew I wasn't missing any tasks. My planning process was very smooth and easy thanks to Alyssa's help. If I ever had a question or wanted to discuss something, she would hop on a call or be very responsive over text as well. She handled the coordination or organization of my vendors month of which was so nice to not have on my plate. On the wedding day, she arrived on time (if not early) and went right to work making sure dresses were steamed and everyone was on schedule for the day. After, she went to the venue and set out all my decor, table numbers, and place cards in the correct places, and made a quick last-minute flower design choice when something wasn't able to work down the aisle. Even my guests found her to be very helpful and she even sewed up one of our guests' dresses that broke. Overall Alyssa did a great job and I truly enjoyed working with her!
Alyssa and her team truly deserve TEN STARS!!! I don’t even know where to begin to describe how stress free we were during this entire process. We hired Alyssa for Full Planning and Day of Coordination (they came together!) and she seriously handled every little detail. She had a wide variety of vendors which was important to me and was able to get contracts from ones she thought fit our vision and she was right on the money with them. Alyssa worked with our florist to create the reception and ceremony decor and it looked like it came right from a luxury magazine!! She helped with details, gave us helpful planning sheets and even included my *now husband* in on emails and calls so he was up to date. I thought it couldn’t get any better but then wedding day came and she was ON TOP OF IT!! She was there whenever I needed her to calm my bride anxiety, she reassured me the whole day that everything was perfect and it was. She even taped up my bridesmaids dresses and bustled my dress for me AND helped me change into my dance floor outfit. I am going to recommend Alyssa anyone who needs an outstanding planner especially if you’re an anxious bride (like myself!)
We hired Alyssa for Day Of Coordination + Design and she helped us so much during the entire planning process as well. I had no idea where to begin making our dream a reality. Alyssa listened to our vision and sent us mood boards that helped immensely and answered every and all questions that I had. She created wedding day timelines and contacted all vendors and basically made coordination a dream! As it happens, there were some bumps along the way and we knew we had Alyssa in our corner to help smooth things out each step of the process.
Alyssa was so sweet and helpful and supportive on our wedding day. We could feel that she just wanted the best for us and she made sure that happened! I would recommend her in a heartbeat! 11/10!
We hired Alyssa for full-time planning, and loved working with her! She listened to our vision and really helped to bring it all to life. We received so many compliments day of on not only how great the venue looked, but also on how smoothly the day ran. She helped guests feel comfortable, and aware of what was next (which was so important to us).
There are so many unknowns going into wedding day, but Alyssa really helped alleviate any anxiety that we had. The day exceeded our expectations, and we felt so lucky to have her there!

TLDR: We booked and paid for Full Service Planning, and did not receive a service anywhere near that.
I wanted to share our experience with Alyssa and Northwest Weddings for other couples considering booking her planning services. We hired Alyssa in January 2022, early on in our planning, under her “Full Service Planning” for over $3,000.
Things that did not go well:
1. Numerous items on our contract were not received. She was able to produce some things after we had a conversation, but others we never received.
2. Defensive when I would bring up our concerns. She was receptive, and things would improve in the short term, but would then revert back to before the conversation.
3. Significant excuses and constantly needing to reschedule calls, to the point it became concerning.
4. Seemed to be out of touch with where things were at in our planning process.
5. Advice was incredibly standard, which did not fit for our wedding. We had to constantly remind her that won't work for our wedding. I did not expect her to custom plan everything, but I did expect her to recall certain things that did pertain to us.
6. Reception tables were set up way out of order, to where the bridal party table was in the back corner. My fiance and I pre-organized individual boxes for table decor, as we had concerns based on our experience up to this point. These included floorplan/table layout from the venue, and photos of each table’s decor. There should have been some of the wedding expertise kicking in here, that table 1, with the bridal party maybe shouldn’t be in the back corner.
7. Disrespectful towards and yelled at guests.
Things that went well:
1. Communication via email and text with my fiance and I.
2. Communication with vendors. I know there was behind the scenes things I did not see, and I am grateful for this.
3. Timeline creation - this was her strong area.
We did bring some of the items we were frustrated with to her attention as it was raising red flags. We were really hoping the pre-planning wasn’t her strength, and that day of/month of, was her strong area, but in our experience it was not. I wish I would have listened to all the red flags along the way.
I am very thankful for the things Alyssa did do to help make our day special. I felt it was important to provide my experience for other couples considering booking Alyssa and Northwest Weddings. Ultimately we booked and paid for Full Service Planning, and in reality received an overpriced coordinator.
I booked Northwest Weddings for the “Month of Coordination” package for my wedding and I had Leah as my coordinator. I would highly recommend Leah from NW Weddings- she went above and beyond with all of the coordination for my special day! From the start, Leah was highly responsive and so friendly. Leah took her time to get to know us and our vision for our big day during our phone calls. Leah provided a spreadsheet that we worked together on to comprise all of the important information for the day- all of my vendor contact info, decor list, hair and makeup schedules, and wedding day timeline. Leah communicated this important information with all vendors as well as nailing down arrival and departure times for the vendors. There were a few vendors I had not been in contact with close to the big day and Leah was on it with reaching out and ensuring each vendor was confirmed. She even provided discount codes and vendor recommendations when I was unsure what direction to take on some things. The week of the wedding I was nervous about the hair schedule being pretty tight knit timing wise. Leah quickly offered to reach out to the hair stylist to reassure the timing would run smoothly on the day of, which it did! Leah provided amazing suggestions and feedback when creating the day of timeline, which is a big task as a bride. The timeline was right on point and even my photo and video vendors were super impressed! At the reception, Leah set up all of the decor beautifully and just how I envisioned it. There were a few things that were “day of” decisions and I felt comfortable with trusting Leah to make decisions as needed on the spot. She comes with great experience and expertise! Throughout the whole process, Leah helped reassure me I had everything planned and prepared as needed, which was such a relief as a bride with all the pressure and tasks of planning. Leah truly helped bring the day come to light and it went so smoothly and beautifully! More pictures to come from my photographer:)
Alyssa and her team made our wedding so perfect. The phone calls and spreadsheets really helped organize my thoughts and the NWW team made sure no detail was left out or forgotten. During our big day alyssa and her team made her all my vendors appeared on time and delivered everything where it needed to be. They set up all our tables and decorations. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did and would recommend them to anyone in the Chicagoland area looking for assistance, planning and coordinating their wedding! Alyssa replied right away to all my emails and made sure I was on track with every aspect for our wedding.
We booked the partial wedding planning package with Alyssa & her team, who right out of the gate took the time to understand our vision and actually tailor the planning experience to our needs. Immediately we had the best connection with Alyssa- with her amazing energy, kindness, and wealth of experience she shared with us. She continued to show her passion for helping us throughout the process by answering all of our questions super quickly, taking extra calls with us, and helping connect us with the right vendors to make our vision come to life. Our wedding day was a dream thanks to Alyssa and her incredible team!! They kept everyone on task, took care of mini-issues with ease (like getting rid of stains on bridesmaids dresses right before the ceremony!), and always went the extra mile (like bustling the dress, shooting out bubbles, hyping us up, taking BTS videos… could go on forever!) We found the best planning team in Northwest Weddings & we feel friends for life!!
We are so grateful for Alyssa and everything she did before, during and after our wedding. We chose the day of coordination plan and the communication was top notch. I appreciated Alyssa’s professional opinion and felt very at ease. Alyssa created a day of timeline and shared it with all our vendors and communicated with them all prior to wedding day. It was so reassuring knowing that everyone was following the same schedule and it kept everything moving smoothly. Alyssa did so many behind the scene things the day of such as setting up our memory table, organizing and displaying all our signs, putting out the guestbook and last minute decor items and so much more. She was at the venue to make sure everything was ready to go for when guests arrived and even helped pick up our personal decor items towards the end of the night. Alyssa even shared photos and videos with us the very next day. We appreciate everything Alyssa did for us and are beyond grateful we decided to add a planner to our list of vendors!!!
Working with Alyssa was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! We went with her “coach and coordination” package which was perfect for us since we had already booked most of our vendors and did not need planning but wanted our coordinator to be involved earlier on in the process. Her prices were very reasonable for Chicago-area planners and coordinators. We started having regular calls around five months before our wedding which was so helpful since Alyssa helped keep us on track and let us know what to expect as the final months went on. She helped coordinate our timeline with our vendors and did a lot of other behind the scenes communication that my husband and I did not have the bandwidth to do on our own.
Having Alyssa there on our wedding day was incredible. I am a very type-a person who is often the project manager of every aspect of my life. I knew if we did not have a coordinator on sight on our wedding day, all the questions and details would fall to me. Alyssa went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had nothing to worry about other than having the best day ever. Her energy was perfect the whole - she was both a calming presence and a hype girl. She made sure everyone was in the right place at the right time - we actually were ahead of schedule the whole time. I’m sure Alyssa did even more day-of that we didn’t notice. Because of her, we were able to have the most amazing wedding day!
Northwest Weddings was a huge help on my wedding day and one of the best investments we made! We had a lot of set up on wedding day of things like candles, place cards, DIY flowers etc and they took care of everything. We booked the Coach and Coordinate package and Alyssa was so responsive with all of the questions I had prior to the wedding day as we had a lot of moving parts with a large wedding. I would highly recommend Alyssa and her team to anyone who is looking for extra help!
Alyssa and her team were so great, and we received plenty of compliments from our wedding party + guest for their day of planning. Definitely worth the price! She made a cute insta story for us for us to get exited over before our wedding photos were ready and was upbeat and attentive all day long!
I never write reviews but thought I should share my experience for brides who are looking for the same type of help. To start, I was a very independent bride - didn’t need much communication, more so just help with the small details. Because of this, I booked Alyssa’s “Coaching and Coordination” package which in summary, was communication with vendors months prior to the event and day of coordination. Alyssa did a fine job, but all in all, while I didn’t complain about the price - $2100 for what I received wasn’t worth it. I felt that Alyssa took very little time to get to know me or my fiancé personally, how it appears she does for other couples. Was not a huge issue for me but when thinking back - every call felt rushed and like it was something she needed to check off her list of to-do’s. Every call was just to go over the timeline and a prompt “anything else?”. Another huge negative for me was that in my original contract, I was set to have both her and an assistant on the day of the wedding. Since I had a micro wedding on a weekday, it was no issue when Alyssa told me she wouldn’t be able to make it, but the issue is that I only received a refund of $100 for her not being present. On top of that, I was the most worried that her assistant didn’t even know me or what I was looking for. I did get to speak with the assistant a few days prior which made me feel so much more confident. While the assistant Leah did a great job on the day of, again, I felt everything I received prior wasn’t worth what I paid for. No personalization or connection, just a draft of timelines and details that I had to fill out. In the end, I felt like I could’ve done most of everything on my own. I will say, Alyssa was always professional, timely and even rescheduled if I wasn’t able to make a call because of my busy timeline. She promptly responded to texts/calls and answered any questions I had, although I didn’t have many. Her assistant was also amazing, a quiet force on the day of, I didn’t even realize she was there but I truly felt her impact! I’m rating a 2 out of 5 mostly due to the lack of connection (may not be important to everyone) and the amount I paid. I would never discredit someone and what they believe they deserve but for future independent brides like myself, I don’t think this package would be for you. My vendors loved her and the communication but towards the end, I felt like I communicated with my vendors so much, I probably could’ve taken on the small amount of stress to finish it all myself and saved the money. Even my photographers were helping set up details on the day of so keep in mind that the vendors you hire can help with some of the small details too! If I can suggest, if she has an option to just buy/download her planning tools, that would be the best option for brides like me. Those tools were really helpful and made my life so much easier because of the organization. While I hate that it wasn’t what I expected, my day turned out amazing and that was the most important part. I hope this helps someone else!
We hired Alyssa & Northwest Weddings as our day of coordinator for our wedding. She went above and beyond just helping on wedding day. The month before the wedding she reached out to all our vendors to make a schedule for a the day. She was super efficient and & eased my nerves tremendously!! On wedding day she made sure every vendor and member of the wedding party was where they needed to be. She helped place decorations, gather people for photos, and even bustle my wedding dress! Alyssa was truly amazing and a joy to work with! I highly recommend her to any and all future brides!
Alyssa was the best day of coordinator I could have asked for! It was so nice to have a go-to-girl leading up to the wedding to answer my questions, set up a timeline, and email vendors! Alyssa and her team were truly the reason I was so stress free on my wedding day and even before. If you don’t have a coordinator HIRE NORTHWEST WEDDINGS! There were things that happened on wedding day that they took care of and my husband and I didn’t even know about it until afterwards. They are so responsive by email and willing to go on a phone call even if it was for a quick question, as a type A bride Alyssa spoke my language! So many planning tools to help me stay organized, I really didn’t have to worry about anything.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Alyssa and her team. They deserve 10 stars! We were not sure if we wanted to hire a coordinator, but after speaking with Alyssa and experiencing all she has to help us through the month before and wedding day I am SHOCKED that not everyone has one! I really did not have to worry about a single thing on the day of. Thank you Northwest Weddings!!
I want to start by saying, I gave myself 6 months before writing this review hoping that I would have been able to move past how poorly Alyssa executed my wedding, but I can’t and I would hate for other brides to go through what I went through. So many details that Alyssa and I discussed were missed, items were placed incorrectly (very very important details), guests weren't let in until 10min before the ceremony when we paid for a pianist for 30 minutes of music (which she knew I was so excited about - and she blamed the venue, when my MOH asked why guests weren't allowed in Alyssa said not until 5:20 and told my piano player she was only playing 3 songs), we ran SO behind schedule and when I asked Alyssa when speeches were starting she said 8:20pm, it was 8:37pm. I as the bride had to tell my DJ to eat. She didn't distribute family florals and left them at the hotel (when this was in her contract) and tried to blame my bridesmaids, when she never asked anyone to bring them. No family members had florals for pictures. However, the biggest was her team completely screwed up the seating chart and then told my mother in law she was wrong and wouldn't fix it when she was trying to correct it and have Alyssa correct it. Both head tables were completely wrong (the most important tables). It was a rectangular table and one side of 12 people was completely flipped. How did the person setting the tables not have a seating chart on them? Even if this was a catering mistake, however, I am pretty sure her team placed them, it's not about the mistake being made, but it's how Alyssa went about correcting it. First, instead of validating on her seating chart (which she should have checked the tables prior to guests entering), she told my MIL she was wrong. Then instead of fixing it (and trusting my MIL) she came and told me my MIL was rearranging the entire table (2 minutes before my entrance which really upset me - thank goodness I figured out Alyssa was wrong). Isn't the planners job to keep the couple out of all issues and limit their stress? When I asked "where is your seating chart?" (that I worked SO hard on), she said she didn't have one. Wouldn't the planner trust that the FOG and FOB were suppose to be sitting across from the MOG and MOB? I felt Alyssa had no idea what was going on, my family and bridesmaids asked her questions that she didn't have the answer to. I felt she was so flustered the entire day and her assistants just stood around. She missed the rehearsal due to a personal issue and then didn't add an extra hour on the wedding day. When revisiting our contact, so many things Alyssa was responsible for she didn't do. We never got simplified timelines for family and bridesmaids, my vendors and Alyssa didn't have the most updated timeline (the photographers didn't even have the most updated shot lists). The moms were suppose to be allowed up for first looks with the dads, my MIL was suppose to be part of the grooms getting ready photos. Alyssa had no idea about our planned exit and my MOH had to ask when we were doing it. I had such high hopes for NWW and I was just left sad. She posts photos of my wedding taking credit for things she didn’t do (wrangling my wedding party when she just wasn’t there..) Having such bad memories from your wedding day is the worst and I really don't want another couple to experience this.
Northwest Weddings was some of the best money we spent on our wedding!! Leah was our day of coordinator and she made our day run like a well oiled machine, there were numberous little bumps that happened throughout the day that I wasn't even aware of until I got back from my honeymoon since she was so on top of it and handled it without me even knowing about it. We also had a few calls before our big day and she made the perfect timeline for the day so no one was rushed and everyone got to do what they wanted/needed to do. Without the timeline, I have no idea how our wedding would've run and she made sure that the bridal party and all the vendors stuck to it. Definitely recommend using NW Weddings!!

Alyssa and her assistant Leah were truly the best help. Alyssa not only helped relieved my worries on not having enough time for everyone to get ready by helping build an amazing cohesive timeline for all of my vendors to follow but she also ensured the wedding was set up exactly the way I envisioned it to look like. 10/10 she was amazing and so happy I was able to work with her.
Alyssa was amazing! I used her as a day of coordinator, but I almost wish I would’ve done more planning with her. Her assistant that day Leah was also amazing. I was told about after the fact that something came up with the florist, but they fixed it and I knew nothing about it until after. She guides you and gives you a timeline and helps you to sort everything out. She sets up your decor and make sure everything is how you want it and picture it. Highly recommend at the very least having her as a day of coordinator… But if you’re overwhelmed with the planning process, definitely go a step up!
Alyssa is the BEST! We hired Alyssa as our day of coordinator. Alyssa is professional, organized and honestly, just a super nice person. She set up our venue exactly how we envisioned and it was perfect! If there were any issues on the night, we have no idea! She connected with our vendors immediately and became the point of contact so that we could enjoy the night. I highly recommend using Northwest Weddings for your planning needs!
I hired Alyssa for the month of planning for my wedding. I am from Chicago, and chose to still get married there though I live in Texas now. I was concerned I would need a lot of help leading up to the wedding month as I was planning from out of state. Alyssa was super great at helping me walk through details/ideas for the day. She set up an awesome timeline and made sure everything flowed smoothly for our day! She shared the timeline with my other vendors and worked with them to ensure I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of my wedding. We had a lot of logistics for our wedding becasue of the amount of people coming from out of town. My big ask from her and her team was to ensure everyone made it onto the shuttles from the hotel on time for the ceremony, and from church to the venue after the ceremony. This was not an easy task, and Alyssa and her team knocked it out of the park. We even had a big surprise come up on the day that Alyssa did a seamless job handling! She was always so professional, and super responsive throughout the entire process. I knew I could count on Alyssa to get back with me right away and always be so helpful. If I hadn't had her help on the big day, I would have not been able to enjoy it the same way. I recommend Alyssa and her team 10/10.
Hiring Northwest Weddings was easily the best money we spent for our wedding. Alyssa and her team were incredibly professional, positive, and truly made sure the day ran smoothly. We did the day-of coordination package and Alyssa checked in with me numerous times before the big day and had all of our information organized and ready to go. We had Sam and Leah the day of our wedding and they couldn't have been more helpful and sweet. Margaux was the absolute reason why my wedding was the most easy going day of my life! If you are debating on spending extra money for a coordinator, it is 100% worth every penny. Alyssa and her team at Northwest Weddings are professional and communicate appropriately. They did my signage, printed, and brought with. Margaux went above and beyond throughout the day/night; my cake had melted and she made it look like nothing happened. They made my wedding day so enjoyable!

Northwest Weddings did a wonderful job helping make our wedding the best day ever. If you’re on the fence about getting a wedding coordinator, DO IT! We brought on Northwest Weddings for Month of/Day of coordination (plus rehearsal coordination) and it was easily one of the best if not the best choice. Our wedding was at our family farm and while we had a lot of the planning done, we really needed a team with experience there for us on the day to help out. Alyssa was so helpful to bounce ideas off of and help me stay calm during the final weeks of planning. My fiancé and I got COVID a little over a week before the wedding and Alyssa kept moving on the timeline and helping with vendor conversations while I was getting better before the wedding. Julia was a huge help in running our rehearsal and helping everyone stay focused. Alyssa and Margaux absolutely KILLED it the day of. Alyssa helped us work through a quick rainy day back up plan (the weather managed to stay away!) and was clutch in making sure the event spaces looked beautiful. They both made sure that the schedule went off without a hitch and everything ran smoothly. I can honestly say I didn’t have to lift a finger or worry about any part of the day which really allowed me to enjoy every minute of it. Thanks again team!!

My husbands best man’s pants split before our ceremony & she sewed his pants !!! How crazy. Helped my mother in law get into her dress even.
She was professional, sweet and knew exactly what she was doing. Our whole bridal party was so grateful that we had her there. She was in contact with all our vendors before our wedding and of course during. We would have been at a loss if we didn’t have her at our rehearsal practice. Everything was beyond perfect!

Alyssa and her team at Northwest Weddings were absolutely flawless from the day I hired them to the day of the wedding! Whenever I needed assistance or someone to bounce ideas off of, Alyssa would respond so quickly and give her expertise. There were so many little things that I did not have to worry about at all because Alyssa had it covered. She had a running list of all of our day-of items, and timeline. She created the timeline for us and even our venue said that it was perfect! Our florist and officiant raved about her also! The wedding day went absolutely perfectly because of Alyssa and her team. We even had a shuttle issue, where a shuttle and driver did not show and she handled it so well. She did not want to stress me out so I had no idea until the last minute and at that point, Alyssa had already figured out a solution and it was perfect. Our guests and vendors were happy during all of this and my parents were so grateful for Alyssa's handling of the situation. I would recommend Alyssa at Northwest Weddings to ANYONE getting married!
I cannot say enough things about Alyssa and her team! Alyssa's skill is only matched by her amazing personality. It was really important to me, as she made me feel comfortable enough to come to her with any changes Id need. Whether it my ever-changing bridal party, my costume changes, or dealing with difficult parents.. she did it all with grace and skill. I really felt that her team sincerely cared about our day and making it perfect. I cannot imagine how chaotic it would have been without her. I honestly worried about no details the day of....and everything just moved as planned. Alyssa was there reassuring me every step of the way! During planning, she was ALWAYS responsive, which really helped with jitters. She truly listens and helped me plan using her expertise to bring forth my vision. I decided very last minute, due to some difficult family situations, that I had to walk myself down the aisle. Alyssa made SURE that I had my closest bridesmaids walking down the aisle last, so that I could have their support up until the last minute. However, this was a total last minute request by me that she did her magic to accomodate. It made that tough moment SO MUCH easier. She was so amazing that my friends and even the wedding venue asked about the company for themselves and future referrals. I'll forever be appreciative of all they contributed to my wedding experience, and know you'll feel the same if you share your day with them in the future.
Alyssa was incredibly helpful, professional, friendly, accommodating and poised throughout the entire process. She prioritized making me (the bride) feel taken care of and did so much more than we even expected! I truly feel that I could let go of control and nothing would slip with Alyssa running the show. I hired Northwest weddings for day of coordination & rehearsal coordination for my wedding this NYE. Alyssa went above and beyond for us and made our day absolutely perfect. I seriously do not know what I would of done without her . From her vendor management , to making sure everything was perfect the day of - she was constantly on top of her game .
