CAKE FLAVORS
APRICOT BUTTERCREAM
Moist white cake laced with orange zest. Filled with apricot puree and a layer of chocolate-orange ganache.
APPLE SPICE
Filled with chocolate mousse and/or cream cheese. Best with cooked apple pie filling
CARROT
A chunky explosion of carrots, walnuts, pineapple and coconut, complete with cream cheese frosting of course!
TRADITIONAL WHITE
Moist, pure white can be enhanced with lemon or orange zest.
TOASTED ALMOND
White cake with chopped toasted almonds baked into the cake layers. Suggested fillings are raspberry puree, toasted almond, butter cream with our famous burnt almonds and chocolate ganache.
SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHUNK
Hand chopped chunks of chocolate folded into our creamy batter.
DARK CHOCOLATE
Moist and rich with intense chocolate flavor.
CHIFFON
A light, moist sponge cake, great with syrups and/or zests.
TIRAMISU
Our chiffon cake soaked with coffee liqueur and espresso syrup. Each layer filled with mascarpone whip cream and topped with cocoa and espresso powders.
GERMAN CHOCOLATE
Our chocolate cake is used for the layers and filled with homemade coconut pecan filling.
LEMON POPPYSEED
Lemon zest and a touch of cinnamon are perfect with the homemade lemon curd filling. Also, great with raspberry puree.
PUMPKIN (Seasonal)
Pumpkin puree and spices make this a holiday favorite. Wonderful with chocolate ganache and/or maple butter cream. Rich and moist.

We hired Debbie for our wedding in September after passing by her shop every weekend and joking that I wanted a wedding cheesecake. It proved to be one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding. Our cake was absolutely delicious - people were raving about it all night - and everyone had a favorite mini dessert (we had cupcakes, lemon parfaits, and mini pumpkin cheesecakes)! Additionally, the cake itself was beautiful and very reasonably priced. I plan to hire Debbie for all future cake catering needs! Not Just Cheesecakes is a hidden gem!
Debbie is an absolutely brilliant baker and human all around. Her response time is fantastic, she was SO kind and helpful, and most importantly - her flavors are amazing! After our first tasting, I joked with my fiancé that I wanted her to adopt me. She totally understood our vision with having edible flowers, and the day after the wedding, my family kept raving about the cake and asking if I could get the recipe for the frosting! We never had to worry about a thing with Debbie, she's our fairy god-baker. :)

My wife and I lovingly refer to her as "The Cake Witch" because she MUST have some sort of magic. She is unquestionably an artist of cake. Not just style (but definitely style!), but flavor as well.
We had two weddings (thanks, COVID!) and our cake at the first was so incredible we asked Debbie to do the second as well, and it was even more beautiful.
I don't generally like cake very much as a dessert, and I was worried about getting a wedding cake cause I didn't want our dessert to be "good...for cake, I guess." I also think a lot of wedding cakes are expensive and bland. Debbie's was neither. And from the moment we came in to taste the cakes, we could tell, this baker loves what she does. Our tasting experience with Debbie was the best out of any bakery in two states, as she made us some custom tiny cakes and served them up with potential fillings and frostings, giving us information and advice like a cake sommelier. She even let me bring my grandmother with us for the cake tasting for our second wedding. My grandma had the time of her life and was so grateful to be allowed to join us.
I can't recommend Debbie enough. She's magical, a lovely person, and superhuman at making cakes.
The most delicious wedding cake ever! Yummmmm!!! And Debbie was an absolute joy to work with! So much warmth and kindness, and she was wonderful about accommodating our requests and giving us her fabulous advice! THE BEST!!!
Not Just Cheesecakes was suggested to us by an acquaintance and after trying 3-4 other bakeries, we realized the perfect baker we wanted was right in front of us all along! Not only Debbie is local to us (something that was important to us), she is a phenomenal baker. Our consultation with her and tastings were great. One thing that played a key role in our decision is her pricing policy. It's not by number of tiers but by number of guests. We found it very fair way to determine pricing!
She patiently answered all our questions and made us a perfect nature themed cake as per the design we requested. We opted for Traditional White with Orange filling and Toasted Almond flavors. Both were a big hit at our wedding! We have preserved the top now for our first anniversary and already cannot wait to eat it!!
Our wedding cake was delicious and gorgeous. I got married in a redwood park and Debbie made a beautiful 3 tiered cake that resembled the trunk of a tree. And it was delicious! The raspberry mousse and orange zest buttercream were dynamite. Thank you, Debbie, for brainstorming flavor combos and cake designs with us!

Debbie is an artist whose medium is cheesecake. Our cake was both statuesque and delicious. her prices are also extremely reasonable; we'd have been lucky if we paid twice what we did for it. Her vision and execution were amazing. She was kind and generous throughout the process. I plan to order more desserts from her in future.
Debbie - you are beyond awesome! I came in with an idea of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like and you made it even better. Plus you made it possible for me to transport my wedding cake and cheesecake tarts from San Jose to Tahoe! While a black cake was not in my original idea, your recommendation to do a black cake given our color scheme and decor was the best idea ever! Everyone loved the look of it with the pop of red flowers and silver branches. Plus the red velvet cake with cheesecake was to die for!! People are still talking about how good it was! Plus the little square cheesecake tarts were the perfect size for people to just grab and eat while mingling or standing by the fire pits. Thank you for being a part of my special day and helping to make it perfect!
Debbie was absolutely amazing to work with. From start to finish she immediately made my husband and I feel so comfortable. We were so excited after the cake tasting and hearing her creative ideas to see what our cake would look like on our special wedding day! Let’s just say we were beyond impressed to say the least- it was stunning! From the sugar flower detail, to the gold delicate embellishments, it was beyond anything we had ever seen- delicious as well! We had so many people come up to us after the wedding saying how gorgeous and yummy it was - truly a work of art and that’s all thanks to the amazing Debbie and her creative genius! Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for high quality taste with gorgeous personalized style. Thank you Debbie!!
Debbie and her team are creative, genuine, and extremely accommodating! I requested a gluten free wedding cake and Debbie created the most divine delicious cake imaginable. Our cake was a gluten free cheesecake bottom with chiffon lemon curd and raspberry cake on top. During the wedding, we were laughing feeding it to each because it was so good! Working with Debbie was not only fun but an honor and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent wedding cake vendor!
What can I say? Debbie is the best. Not only does she have the best personality, but her cakes are AMAZING and beautiful. Everyone at the wedding couldn't stop talking about how tasty the cake was. Love Debbie and would highly recommend her to everyone.
I got married in early May 2012 and shopped around a LOT for a great artist to do our wedding cake. We literally went to about a dozen cake tastings in the bay area before choosing Debbie and Not Just Cheesecakes.
Why did we choose this vendor? Debbie makes wonderful cheesecakes! Honestly, my husband and I love cheesecake, and it was great to have a non-traditional choice for our wedding day. Her regular cake was pretty tasty as well, but the cheesecake got us hooked.
Our cake consisted of three tiers to feed about 40 people. The bottom tier was a lemon mousse cheesecake filled with raspberries, and the top two tiers were chocolate hazelnut cheesecake filled with a hazelnut ganache. Amazing! The cake was iced in an ivory fondant with a green leaf pattern. Debbie delivered the cake to our wedding venue, Tarragon Restaurant, in Sunnyvale.
Another thing we loved about Not Just Cheesecakes was that the price was very affordable. (Now, keep in mind that this is the wedding industry.) But Debbie gave us a lovely 3-tier wedding cake for less than most vendors would give us a measly 2-tier cake. She also threw in a wooden cake stand for free. And for a very small fee, Debbie provided two mini-cheesecakes for our gluten free and diabetic guests.
I promise you, EVERYONE enjoyed the cake. We had to stop the best man from trying to take half-eaten guest pieces home with him.
The only drawback to working with Debbie was being able to get in touch with her. She only checks her messages periodically throughout the week. However, if you ask her for her email address, she is more responsive that way.
Overall, we really enjoyed working with Debbie and loved our cheesecake wedding cake. We even brought a portion of it with us on our honeymoon. ;)
Debbie is amazing and the cakes she makes are magical. She is super friendly and she is so professional that I didn't even have to worry about my cake (believe me, you don't want to have to worry about your vendors). On the day of the wedding, I saw the cake and my husband and I were awe struck. It was more beautiful than I had ever imagined. She is a talent and an artist and I'd recommend her to anyone who wants a unique, lovely, and magical wedding cake.
I got Debbie's information from a friend from high school who got married a few years ago. She is a family friend of Debbie's, so I trusted my friend. Debbie is super friendly and easy to work with, produced a fantastically gorgeous cake (and helped me figure out what design I wanted) and it was delicious. We ordered a half-chocolate-half-new york style cheesecake for 40.
Debbie is an amazing woman! She took my scattered ideas for a cake, gave some suggestions, and made the most perfect wedding cake I could ever dream of for my wedding. It not only looked beautiful, it tasted great too! And her husband Kerry carved the wood of my cake stand which we now use as a keepsake end table. Such a talented group and so friendly!
