We reached out to Monica Noa at Nouvea Events about two years ago for our wedding of 200 guests after looking for a high-value wedding consultant. We were immediately impressed by the quality of Monica’s weddings, her professionalism, her expertise, her wisdom, and her commitment to the vision of her clients.
Monica took the time to meet with us on a number of occasions in order to discuss our ideas and hopes for our special day. We were never a bother to her – she wanted to make sure that we were pleased in every step of the wedding planning process. She was also flexible with our timeline.
Monica took initiative with contacting our venue in order to get us on their books. We did not know where to begin, but Monica had a robust list and a wide variety of vendors for us to consider. She was very proactive as it relates to setting-up meetings with other vendors such as: DJs, Catering companies, Videographers, Photographer, Florists, Linen Companies, and a number of other vendors. Whenever we had questions, she was always an email away; Monica was there to set up a meeting to clarify any questions. Wedding planning is a lot of work and can be a bit frustrating at times. Monica was reassuring, very patient and very understanding when things got tough on our end.
Monica did not force her ideas on us – she offered her suggestions and experience, but her main priority was bringing our vision to life. We so appreciative her ability to bring our dream wedding to reality.
One our special day, Monica made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. It was amazing!
She was very versed with everything we needed for a wedding day. She was very skillful and organized, yet kind, and polite.

Monica Noa was an exceptional wedding planner. As with many events during the 2020-2021 seasons, our wedding planning experienced many setbacks, including a significant date change due to the pandemic, as well as a late stage venue switch. While this was difficult and stressful for all parties involved, Monica handled the difficulty with consummate professionalism. She was always timely in her communication and dealt with all the contracts, venue switching, and vendors so well.
She is really an expert at her craft, and we could not recommend her more. During our wedding weekend, Monica and her staff organized our large wedding party and guests with grace and confidence. We had multiple events spanning two days, and the entire event went off without a hitch. We found Monica’s company through a Google search, and could not have gotten luckier. Monica was the most incredible planner for our wedding! Due to the pandemic, we went through multiple postponements and changes, which Monica handled beautifully. She was very easy and fun to work with, professional, efficient (which was important to us!), and knew EXACTLY how to take our vision and put it in action. Our wedding weekend was more than we could have ever asked for, and she made sure every detail we wanted was implemented beautifully! Monica and her team were simply the best! As my husband and I keep telling people, we wish we would have contracted her to plan our entire wedding. She was our day-of coordinator and we would have been lost without her. What impressed us most was her (and her team) ability to work under pressure and respond to situations without hesitation. Our experience with Monica and her team was phenomenal! Monica is well-connected and well-respected in the wedding industry in Raleigh, which is exactly what we needed. Nouveau Events did an outstanding job, from the planning process to executing our vision on our wedding day. We enjoyed working with Monica, she is very responsive and organized. When we first met with Monica we knew immediately we wanted her as our wedding planner. There were times that we had concerns on various subjects and with Monica's help she was able to resolve the issue. During our engagement period, my husband and I were new parents with demanding jobs. Therefore, we knew that in order for us to have the wedding in which we desired, a wedding planner was needed to help coordinate our big day . From the beginning of the planning stages, Monica was incredibly receptive and so excited to ensure that our vision for our big day came true. She was extremely organized throughout the entire process and always delivered on every task that was required to be completed for the big day. Her poise and professionalism during vendor appointments and planning meetings truly placed her in class of her own. Two weeks before the wedding, everything was so calm. Monica had completed all of the necessary tasks and checked in on me periodically to ensure I was completely stress free.
Wedding Day Overview:
My wedding weekend was well planned. Monica provided detailed Itineraries to all our wedding party guests to ensure everyone was in the right place on both Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. Monica and her staff kept everything schedule. The wedding ceremony set-up was beautiful and the reception decor took our breath away. Our wedding guest were literally blown away by the design of our reception. Overall, Monica exceeded my expectations in every aspect. She became our family during this process and we wouldn't have had it any other way. I am so thankful that god allowed us to meet such an amazing woman. Monica and her Nouveau Events team were wonderful. My husband and I both worked full-time during our wedding planning and on a relatively short engagement timeline (engaged in July, started planning in August, secured services in September, wedding in early March) Monica planned an amazing wedding that truly exceeded our expectations. I had a great experience using Nouveau Events for coordinating my wedding. They were very sensitive to my needs and the results were amazing. During the process leading up to my wedding, they were very organized, paid a great deal of attention to detail, and were very helpful in walking me through all the decisions that needed to be made. From the very beginning to the very end Monica spent countless hours not only serving as my planner, but also as my therapist when I was having a moment (as a bride, you will have many moments). When I first met with Monica, I described my vision of a perfect wedding and what I was looking for in a wedding planner and she took it from there. Monica is passionate when it comes to planning and designing weddings, which is most certainly something that you will want to consider in your search for a wedding planner. Monica and Kira made my wedding day experience so pleasant. I got married on Oct 22, 2017 at an outdoor ceremony at the local college near our hometown. I chose the day-of coordination package and couldn't be happier with what they were able to do for me. Most of the planning was done by me and my husband, and I was COMPLETELY burned out by the time I handed everything over to Monica and her team lol. I was anxious to see how Nouveau Events would coordinate the things that I had planned, but Monica reassured me countless times that she had it under control, and she did! She was able to turn my blank canvas venues (outdoor ceremony, indoor reception) into something with simple elegance. The wedding day was a breeze for me; it was honestly the only day during the wedding process that I wasn't completely stressed out lol, because I knew that I was in good hands. I'm still packing for our honeymoon but I could not let the day pass without emailing you to say we had the BEST DAY EVER!!!!! I have no complaints, no regrets, no issues, no nothing. It was literally a perfect day and I got to do everything I wanted.
All the things I worried about possibly not working out worked out perfectly (weather, dance, makeup time, 1:30 checkout, outdoor photos, shoe game, ect).
It was just amazing and I'm so thankful to you Monica. Just truly thankful beyond measure. I know you worked your butt off on our behalf yesterday and I thank you so much for every single thing. Thanks for catching us up in the timeline and fitting in everything, thanks for bustling my dress, thanks for handling everything and being right there for any questions we had. I had always planned to let go on the day of and when I woke up and mentally did that it felt so good and made the day go that much smoother for me as the bride. I'm so glad we extended the time too! That worked out well. We've received so much positive feedback and comments from our guests and families. They were all blown away!!

Monica is THE BEST! I hired Monica for Event Design/Planning and Month of Coordination and I cannot imagine the wedding planning process or actual wedding day without her. She is on top of everything, literally everything. She has a great eye for design and helped us make our wedding unique and personal to us. I did not have to worry about a thing when it came to the day of the wedding; Monica and her team took care of everything. What was most impressive was Monica's professionalism and how she was able to handle our "hype" bridal party. She was quickly able to keep them in order, on tasks, and on time which Mike and I appreciated! If you are considering or on the fence about getting a wedding planner - get one, but if you want a great wedding planner - get Monica with Nouveau Events!

I met Monica almost 2 years before my wedding date & from the first meeting with her I knew she was well organized & had answers to all my many questions.
I was so worried that something would go wrong on my wedding day & so worried that my plain old conference room would not look wedding like, but I had nothing to worry about. I realized I needed a wedding planner when I was shoulder deep in emails, phone calls, and Pinterest boards. I had done the legwork of booking my vendors, but had no idea how to integrate them into a cohesive plan for my wedding day. Enter Monica and Nouveau Events. Monica exudes professionalism and confidence, backed up by her experience in the business. After meeting with her once, I knew we were in great hands.
In the month leading up to our wedding, Kira ran point on many aspects of our wedding, including contacting and confirming with vendors and our venue. They both updated me with questions from my vendors, but made sure that I could focus on more meaningful last minute details, instead of fielding phone calls and emails.
Monica and Kira made sure our rehearsal was productive, which is impressive because it was definitely like herding cats with our families. On the day of the wedding, I did absolutely nothing but enjoy my day while Monica, Kira, and the rest of the staff at Nouveau Events took care of everything. My wedding required a flip in the main ceremony/reception space, for which there were a total of 5 staff members present at the venue to help. I couldn't believe how quickly they flipped the space and how beautiful it looked!
During the night, Kira made sure our reception went as planned, with the speeches, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. All the while, they were packing up our belongings discretely and cleaning up as the night continued. By the time we were ready for our sparkler exit, I asked what we needed to in terms of cleaning up our stuff and decorations and they had already gotten all of our personal belongings out of the venue. All we had to do was enjoy our exit and hop in the getaway vehicle. I was so amazed!
Thanks to Nouveau Events, our wedding was well-planned, well-executed, and an absolute dream. I cannot thank them or recommend their services enough. Thank you!!!

I wish I had six stars to give Nouveau Events! Seriously, stop searching for a wedding planner/coordinator right now. They are the very best.
I first met Monica a year ago at a wedding show in Raleigh, and she immediately impressed me. Personable, funny, smart, and ALL business. From our very first meeting with her, I knew we had made the right choice in hiring her to coordinate our October wedding in Downtown Raleigh at Caffe Luna. My only mistake was not splurging and allowing her to plan the entire wedding.
She's not just a day-of coordinator. She's a month-of coordinator. About a month before the wedding, after we had planned what we thought was every single detail, she got in touch with us and rocked our world. There were SO many details that we hadn't even considered. She thought of everything, helped us tie together the loose ends, confirmed all of our vendors, and made the final month before our wedding so smooth and easy.
Our day was picture perfect. I was able to enjoy every single moment while Monica and her team worked quietly in the background to make sure that everything came together just as it should. Everything was stress-free. Not a single thing went forgotten. We were able to enjoy the day without having to stress about getting vendors checked in, setting up decorations, coordinating flower drop-off, getting everyone -- both big and small -- down the aisle. They took care of it all. Not only were we impressed, but all of our friends and family could not stop raving about them.
DO NOT try to plan your wedding by yourself. A wedding coordinator is the single-most important investment you can make in your big day. And honestly, if I could change anything about it, I would have hired her to plan the entire thing. I cannot recommend Nouveau Events enough. They were truly phenomenal.
I couldn't have planned my wedding without her! She took my Pinterest board and turned into an amazing event. She was super responsive and helped me decide on things (which I think is REALLY important when as a bride you have a ton of decisions to make). One example, I was late to my linens appointment and she went ahead and pulled some options and I loved all of them. She is very experienced (she made sure I considered all the things I would never think about). She made sure I stayed on top of deadlines. She definitely got my style and she handled our big African (and pushy) family like a pro! She helped make my day the BEST DAY EVER!
Monica and her team are world class! From the very first phone call I had with Monica, she was up and ready to go! The first time I met Monica, I was running late, and my phone died. I was over an hour late with no way of contacting her and balling. However, Monica greeted me with a huge hug and still met with me that evening, and was able to take on my wedding! I utilized the Day of Coordination package, and my wedding could not have turned out had it not been for this team. Monica is very prompt at replying to emails, and willing to find the answer to any question. Two of her associates were on site for my wedding and they worked SO hard to pull my vision together and adapted to some severe rain (#hurricanematthew in Raleigh). In spite of the weather, Nouveau Events brought all my dreams to life, and I was thrilled with the reception space. The team handled the change of plans very well, and were so polite when they informed of any adjustments we had to make. If you contemplating a coordinator, do it now. Call Monica. Set up a meeting, and you will not be disappointed. The day of coordination service really allowed me to sit back and relax on the big day, because i knew my vision was in good hands.
We were so happy to have Monica plan our wedding! She was so quick to understand my "wedding style" that I almost felt she knew it better than me! Her patience and professionalism were exactly what we needed. With the number of guests and how involved our ceremony was, I was shocked at how smoothly our day went. Monica and her team were amazing! She predicted my needs and wants even before I needed and wanted them. She was able to take my scattered ideas and create a cohesive dream. She and her staff were great. We did day of planning so the month before the wedding we had an extensive meeting about everything. She took all we had done and put it together perfectly. she talked to all the vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. The day of she was great and had everything together and made sure things ran smoothly.
As the mother of the groom, I was hesitant to ask a lot of questions. Monica was open and asked me directly if I had questions. She was so friendly and helpful. One of questions I asked was, "Of all the weddings you have done, what is a piece of advice you would give me to help things go smoothly?" Her answer, "Make sure everyone is fed well." I took her advice to heart. As much of the bridal interactions were at our house, I kept infused water available, fresh fruit and lots of fresh veggies. The days were better, I think, based on her advice and me being willing to take her advice to heart.
When you meet with her, I suggest listening and taking good notes...this vendor knows her stuff and her tips are important to a successful and less stressful event for all.
Please do not consider having a wedding without a wedding planner, and I strongly suggest Monica Noa! She worked with us from the very beginning of the planning process and the event was flawless. The most important thing was I was able to enjoy my daughter's wedding. She worked with all the vendors and ensured that the day went off without a hitch (if there was a hitch, I never knew about it!). She is thorough, efficient and very professional in all her dealings with the family and myriad of people that we had to work with. Really enjoyed working with her and would strongly recommend her services.
Monica Noa and Nouveau Events provided excellent wedding planning services. We hired Monica for the full planning service package. She was worth every penny. From the moment we hired her, she crafted a planning process that complimented our unique wants, tight budget, and constraints (we reside several states away from Durham, NC). The distance did not impede Monica's attentive performance or diminish the quality of services she provided. She scheduled conference calls with us at least once a month to keep us abreast of developments. Any updates and vendor confirmations were promptly affirmed in emails to everyone involved. She negotiated deals with preferred vendors and always provided multiple vendor options for our review. She utilized several online tools that permitted us to coordinate logistics, centralize information, and collaborate on tasks from our respective locations.
On the big weekend, she provided everyone in the wedding party, reception/ceremony participants, and close family members detailed itineraries for the entire weekend's festivities. Monica L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y. removed any source of stress and decision-making from our consideration. I cannot emphasize the positive impact this had on our experiences and memories. Most importantly, she and her staff at Nouveau Events facilitated a ceremony and reception that each of our ethnically, socioeconomically, and geographically diverse guests thoroughly enjoyed. No one complained about the wedding. Everyone complemented us on the celebration's execution. A sizable group of guests – many of whom didn’t know each other beforehand - wanted a “reunion” to celebrate again in a year. That is the kind of experience Monica and her staff at Nouveau Events facilitated for us last month. They are invaluable.

OMG! Booking Monica was the first wedding decision I made AND the best! There are simply not enough words to describe how AMAZING Monica and her team are! My husband and I booked Monica for full-service planning and have zero regrets! Her recommendations and insight on vendor selection was awesome considering I had no wedding vendor knowledge and would get so overwhelmed just thinking about it! Her wedding day-of skills completely blew me away…not to mention wowing my Dad, who was skeptical about the whole wedding planner idea from the beginning! I’m pretty sure he was still raving about her a week later! Long story short, if you are looking to book a wedding planner and want ensure things are flawless and stress-free on your wedding day then Monica is your girl!
Monica and her team are worth every penny. Sergio and I had a wonderful time at our wedding and didn't have to worry about a thing! Honestly. Other than the impending nuptials, I wasn't stressed about anything. It was raining too! She knew exactly what to do. I just hung out all day with my bridesmaids. The ceremony went great! Then we ate, toasted and danced the night away. The ceremony looked great, the reception looked great. The peace of mind was worth every penny. She really got the feel of our wedding and help it come to life. She confirmed all the vendors and figured out exactly how much we had to pay. I think there was an issue with my DJ, but I am not sure, because Monica took care of and I didn't need to worry. Don't delay and book her and her team now!
Monica and her assistant were great! It was really nice knowing that the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time, and if I forgot to do something she would remind me. I hired Monica for day-of coordination, but in retrospect I should have definitely done full planning with her. If you are a bride, save yourself the months and months of freaking out by getting full event coordination- you might think it seems overboard at first, but you will thank yourself for it later.
Monica was (and is!) a god-send! Because my wife's family is spread out and my family is in Kentucky, we were basically left to try and plan this wedding by ourselves. One of the first things my now wife suggested was to get a wedding planner. I was hesitant at first, but mid-way into the process I knew that she made the right choice. As we got closer to the wedding, that choice became even more crucial in making sure we got all the final details in place. I cannot thank Monica enough for all of the work she put in and staying on top of us to make sure everything was perfect. If ANYONE is deciding between using a planner, I HIGHLY recommend that you do, and that you choose Monica at Nouveau Events.
We were married on October 3rd, 2015 and it will be a day we'll never forget thanks to Monica! After being a bridesmaid in a previous wedding Monica planned, she was my first choice for a wedding coordinator, which was the best decision we made! My husband and I met Monica about 13 months before the wedding and from the very beginning she was very invested in what we wanted our day to be like. She even suggested vendors that she knew and trusted and was right about each one! The weekend of our wedding, we were swamped with rain because of Hurricane Joaquin. With so many people traveling from out of town leading up to the day, I was becoming a nervous wreck! In the midst of checking in on vendors and the wedding planner, Monica made time to check on me on multiple occasions. She was so calm and prepared that all of my nervousness was put as ease. The storm didn't impact us at all and my wedding went on as planned. Needless to say, it was absolutely beautiful. All of the details were perfect! Our family and friends were so happy with everything and even they say we made a great investment by working with Monica. Our wedding was fantastic and we owe it all to Nouveau Events. The first time I experienced the absolutely wonderful creativity of Nouveau Events, was at a Vow Renewal Ceremony in which I was hired to sing. It was so elegant, unique, and beautiful! Fast forwarding to 2015, It was my time to plan my wedding! My wedding planner had just quit and we were left to fin for ourselves. I remembered the event I had attended the year before and decided to reach out to the Bride for contact information. She sent me the link to Monica's website and instantly I knew Nouveau Events was the business for us! Her website alone told me that she was professional, creative, and serious about wedding planning! I sent her and email, telling her the whooole story about my wedding planner quitting and how we were about 6 months away from our big day, with so many loose ends that needed to be mended. Monica responded the very next day to schedule our consultation! Our first meeting felt like talking to an old friend, many laughs, very safe and open environment. I brought decor items that we had purchased with our old planner, and as horrible as they were, Monica showed so much compassion towards us and kindly let us know that we would need to go in another direction (lol). Up until our consultation, I kept what I called my "Wedding Planner Bible", I just found it under my bed after organizing yesterday, lol! I totally trusted Monica and her opinions, ideas, and expertise! Monica flipped our wedding upside down and made it more that we could imagine! We are so grateful and pray that God blesses her and Jesse abundantly above all they could ask or think!
From the first time I walked into Monica's office, I knew from then she would be my wedding planner. I reeeaaally liked the décor of her office. Additionally, because I am a very indecisive person I needed someone who was able to help me make clear and concise decisions about my wedding. She was able to complete all of my thoughts and wasn't afraid to redirect my thoughts if they were veering into the wrong direction in just the first meeting. It was a no brainer that she was THE ONE. My husband and I chose the "month of" package but Monica responded to all of my emails and calls promptly in the months leading up to the wedding. Everything that could have happened to me on my wedding day, happened. My hair appointment ran over, I had to purchase a new dress for my maid of honor, I almost ran out of gas on the way to the venue,........But none of the guest knew of anything. I was extremely late arriving to the venue. BUT GUESS WHAT? The wedding started on time. Monica had all of the vendors in place, the wedding party in place, decorations in place, chairs, you name it. She kept me calm with her calm demeanor in a chaotic situation. If I had to do it all over again I would choose Nouveau Events to coordinate my wedding.
If peace of mind on your wedding day is important to you and you want to KNOW that everything is going to go "right" and as planned....you need a wedding coordinator. And if you're going to get a wedding coordinator, get Nouveau Events! I hired them for day of services about 3 months out from my wedding on a "freak out whim" because I had been planning to do it all myself, but then I talked to former brides and all of them gave me the same advice, "get a day of coordinator."
So I'll give you the same advice, "get a day of coordinator!!" (Or a full planner if you need that, I hear Monica does that as well.) But seriously, this is how my wedding day went: slept in late, woke up, ate breakfast with all my bridesmaids/friends, watched my favorite tv show (Friends), wondered how much longer I had to sit around my hotel room, got pampered with my hair and make up artist, ate Jimmy John's, watched some more tv, drank a beer with my friends, got in the limo and rode around for awhile til it dropped us at the church where we got dressed and I only started feeling nervous for the last 5 minutes before the ceremony started. I didn't answer one phone call from a guest or a vendor or ANYONE needing something from me. I didn't worry whether the linens had been dropped off or if the flowers were set up. And it was all thanks to Monica and her team! I am a teacher - read perfectionist, over-doer, naturally type A, stressed out personality. But from the second I hired her I felt way more at ease with my wedding day and it totally paid off. Out of everything I spent on my wedding, she was the best money spent by far. All my other vendors (officiant, florist, etc.) complimented me on how efficient she was. From the rehearsal the night before to leaving the wedding after all the festivities, she got things done and she got them done perfectly.
I could go on and on, but you get the point. Your wedding is YOUR day - you enjoy it and let Monica worry about the rest :)
We used Nouveau Events for their "Day of" planning services (which actually means "Month of"). Monica was a pleasure to work with!! Even before the month of our wedding, I was able to email her for suggestions and advice. She responded to me within a day and always provided many options and resources. During the month of our wedding, I was asked to fill out a very detailed packet about my vendors, ceremony, and reception. We then met at my venue to go over the packet, the wedding timeline, and to go through the venue to finalize our final vision and tie up loose ends! Monica is extremely detail oriented and organized! This gave me peace of mind, since I am a perfectionist myself. I felt completely comfortable leaving my wedding in her hands!
The rehearsal went quickly and smoothly! Some of my bridal party even commented that it was the easiest rehearsal they had ever been a part of, since Monica was so organized! Our wedding day was the same way! Monica, and her lovely assistant, Victoria, made the day go by so smoothly! If anything went wrong, my husband and I had no idea because they took care of it all! I had also done quite a few DIY projects that they happily set up for me the morning of the wedding (candy table, table numbers, memory table, etc.) Everything looked beautiful! My husband, my family, and I were all so pleased with Nouveau Events! I would definitely recommend using them!!

Hiring Nouveau Events as my full wedding planner was the absolute best decision that I made during my wedding planning process. At first, I was unsure that I would need a full wedding planner but, after meeting Monica, I wanted to work with her just because of how much I liked her as a person! She is extremely professional, knowledgable, and kind. I was shocked at how much went into planing a wedding that I did not realize; I could not even begin to imagine how I would have done any this without her help. She listened to my thoughts and ideas and made them into reality. My wedding was every single thing that I hoped it would be and so much more. Never during this process did I get frustrated or overwhelmed. Monica made sure I knew what to do during each phase of the planning process. She provided me with timelines, reminders and guidance that helped me stay on track and focused.
I just feel like I could not say enough about how much I loved working with Monica. I am so happy that I found her and I would recommend her to anyone. She is one of my favorite people in the whole world and if you get the chance to work with you, I would be shocked if you didn't agree.
As a very 'type A' person who was planning on working two jobs and then starting graduate school while planning a wedding, I KNEW I needed a full service wedding planner to keep me sane from Day 1. My groom was also deployed for 90% of the engagement, which made a wedding planner even more critical. I don't even remember how I found Monica, but I'm so happy I did. As my full service planner Monica helped me select vendors that fit my vision for my wedding day, kept the planning moving smoothly, and did her best to have everything done ahead of schedule so that I wouldn't be stressed out at the last minute. If I'm being honest, at the beginning, I probably didn't let Monica do as much for me as she could have, but that's just me wanting to do everything myself. She was patient, straightforward, and honest with me when it came to everything. Every one of the vendors she recommended to me were wonderful to work with. In the end, my wedding exceeded my expectations (which is HARD to do!) and I cried when I had my reception room reveal; It was my vision brought to life, right down to the little details I'd obsessed over. I'm the kind of bride that has been dreaming of her wedding day since she was a little girl, and I have to say my wedding day was the fairytale I had always dreamt it would be. I know that sounds cliche, but it was. Without Monica it would not have been possible, and I literally would have died of stress. I have and will continue to enthusiastically recommend Monica and her team to other brides!
My dad and I have said multiple times that Monica was by far the best investment toward my wedding over all the other things we paid for. We got the month of coordination package and Monica took my plans and ran with them. She executed my vision perfectly and thought of things that I had not. She brought expertise to my wedding which gave me so much peace of mind on the big day which was worth so much more than the cost. It was a pleasure working with her and I would recommend her to everyone!
Wow where do I begin? Every since the initial meeting I knew Monica was going to be the planner for me. She was very organized and detailed, and that was right up my alley. During the past twelve months she has went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. On the BIG DAY she kept everything flowing and even when some unexpected additions to the itinerary happened she coordinated it all so flawlessly that it went off without a hitch. Planning a wedding is hard work but I was so blessed to have Monica and her team every step of the way. I would highly recommend Monica to any couple regardless of their planning abilities, because her insight was always a nice addition to our thoughts and ideas!!!
Monica and staff is awesome and a pleasure to work with. I was so impressed with the reveal of the ballroom that I cried. This was definitely one of the happiest days of my life. I highly recommend Noveau Events!!!
So a few months back, I posted this review on another site. Monica, of Nouveau asked if we would be so kind as to create a profile here as well. After all she did for us, we could not refuse, so here it is:
"We live about 2 hours away from Durham, where our wedding took place, so it was crucial that we had someone we could count on and trust to help us with all of the details of the pre-wedding planning process. We met Monica ( proprietor of Nouveau Events) at a bridal show in Raliegh and she seemed to be the most professional and creative one there. Later on we looked at her website and we were sold. To say that she exceeded our expectations is a gross understatement. From the moment we signed the contract, she was an integral part of our wedding. She coached us on vendor choices, set up appointments (this was very important because we needed to be able to visit multiple vendors on our short visits in town), kept up with our timeline, advised us on decisions, handled the myriad details that one often forgets about when trying to coordinate an event like this, and executed our wedding day flawlessly. There was only one time when we did not take Monica's advice, and it is the only part of our wedding that we think could have been improved. Our vision came to fruition EXACTLY as we had imagined it would, and then some. We could not have done it without Monica and her team."
UPDATE: We recently got our wedding album back, as well as our video and we were both stunned at how well it turned out. I had never really considered how different the wedding experience would be from the bride/groom's perspective, but you really miss a lot. I had no idea what our cocktail hour was like, for example, because we were taking pictures. Now that we finally got to see what it looked like from our guests perspective, we were even happier with how it all came together. Thanks again to everyone at Nouveau for making it happen!
We used Monica for Month Of Coordination and she was wonderful! We were a bit scattered when she came into the process but had most everything figured out. She got us organized and on track and made sure we hadn't forgotten anything. For the rehearsal and the wedding day, she was on top of everything and I didn't have to worry about anything. That peace of mind was so valuable to me!! Monica is a good balance of staying out of the way but also making sure things happen when they need to and no one impedes that process. She also worked well with our other vendors! We would use her again in a heartbeat.
