Regrettably, I didn't write this review sooner on the Knot. My husband and I got married in October 2017. Every time I go back and look at our pictures, I am blown away by how well Nic and Amanda captured our special day. I love their style and it was a blast taking pictures with them. They made us feel so comfortable and our best selves. They also fully embraced our goofiness for some fun photos before we got all dressed. Our sunset photos belong in a wedding magazine. Thanks so much NuGen!!!

The Amazing Two, Nic and Amanda!! We highly recommend Nugen Media to anyone with a party and especially a wedding. Nic is an amazing photographer who captures the most wonderful and most amazing moments of our wedding. We could not thank his wife Amanda enough for being on top of it all from poses to making sure that me and my wife had enough pictures of us and of us and our families. Nugen Media was there from planning the video and photos timeline to executing the timeline on wedding day. Nic was professional, responsive, flexible, and took quality pictures of us. Amanda and Nic are an amazing team! Amanda was so responsive and communicated with me from the minute we booked NuGen for photography. Both Nic and Amanda we're great to work with during our engagement shoot and wedding day. I look through our wedding pictures and it brings me back to the moments that were captured--I laugh, cry and smile reminiscing on such a special day. My family and friends can't stop talking about how great are photographs are, either! So glad we had them at our special day.

AMAZING team! The photos and video turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We loved working with Nic, Amanda, and Aaron!! The way they edit their photos and the artistic angles they use make their work truly special. Not only was their work top-notch, they were also wonderful to work with the day of our wedding! Your wedding goes by in such a blur that it's hard to remember all of the details...unless you get a video. NuGen media provided the most incredible video I've ever seen for our wedding. It encompassed every aspect that I took so much time to plan and every time I watch it, I cry all over again. It gives me the best memory of my wedding day. Thank you for providing one of the best memories I'll ever have and for giving me something that I cannot wait to show my kids one day. Not to mention, they were so easy to work with.

We absolutely LOVED working with NuGen media. The lead photographer Nic was a blast to work with . He kept the engagement photos and wedding day photos fun, relaxed, and memorable. His wife Amanda was the main coordinator and she was the best to work with. She was responsive and helpful in every way ! We also used the photo booth for our wedding which our guests loved! Nic and Amanda are a power couple and a joy to work with!! Their other photographers and staff were excellent as well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

NuGen was amazing- we used them for our engagement and wedding photography and our pictures came out just perfect! Engagement photos were in old town Alexandria, so not one of Nic’s go-to photography locations, but as we were walking around he found spots that made for some amazing pictures! And he knew ALL the best places to take photos at our wedding at Rixey Manor. Besides taking some great photos, we got them so fast! Absolutely no regrets going with NuGen!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Nic and Amanda. They are a great team with a lot of experience and were helpful in not only creating amazing & memorable photos but also in creating a timeline that made the day run smoothly. I cannot stop looking at my photos and every time I find another favorite. The pictures speak to their talent, but on top of that they are professional, organized, friendly, and direct when they needed to be. I highly recommend their services.

PHENOMENAL TEAM. WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. I am still in awe over everything they did for my wedding 10/06/18. Nic helped me stay cool and calm and Aaron as well --especially when I was getting nervous! I felt so comfortable, as did my husband. Amanda did so much form coordination day of, to fixing issues that arose, to fixing my bustle, to helping pack the car , and with making the timeline/ sticking to it! She is sweet and so amazing to work with. She helped to tame the bridal party and keep things in order, they are a vendor you will be so grateful you booked. Worth EVERY PENNY and MORE. They are a beautiful couple and team , it shines in their work. If I could give more stars I WOULD!

Nic and Amanda were recommended by Ben and Isadora at Rixey Manor, and they were one of the best recommendations I received. Nic and Amanda were in constant communication with me about what photos I wanted taken at my wedding day. They also had many great ideas of their own. Nic and Amanda arrived promptly on my wedding day and were ready to begin immediately. They made sure that I was at ease the entire time and had everything completely under control. They were constantly seen throughout the evening taking photos of everything that happened. They also helped to arrange golden hour photos at sunset. I cannot speak highly enough of Nic, Amanda, and their incredible work. They were crucial to making our special day a success.

NuGen was the best vendor hire we made for our wedding! They met and then consistently exceeded our expectations. If we could give them more than 5/5, we would! They were extremely prompt in responding to every inquiry, and flexible when discussing our big day. They managed to get amazing videography shots while staying completely invisible, operating in the background the entire time. Words can’t express the joy and gratitude we feel when watching the highlight video of our big day, all thanks to NuGen. We plan on using them for any videography and photography needs we may have in the future, and highly recommend them to our friends, family, and anyone searching for a professional and reliable company to capture your big day!

Nic (the owner of the company and our photographer) was hands-down the best photographer I found for our wedding. He was dependable and flexible throughout the entire wedding planning process. Originally, I had planned to have a friend do the photography, and she ended up not being able to at the last minute. Nic not only stepped in and saved the day, but he also met my budget! We were ecstatic with the engagement photos he took of us, and we knew we had made the right choice. He is incredibly laid back and not micro-managing at all during the sessions. I tend to get anxious when I am stressed, and he was the perfect foil to that on my wedding day! My now-hubs and I were so impressed with him, we also hired NuGen to do our videography and our photo booth! And they both turned out excellent! We used NuGen Media for our wedding video and a photo booth, and were extremely satisfied with both! The photo booth was fun and came with a wonderful and hilarious keepsake of photos taken and guest messages. The videographers did not ever feel intrusive, instead the process was comfortable and easy. Ultimately, the highlight video that NuGen created for us more amazing than we could have imagined! Having our day condensed so perfectly into 4 minutes and put to music is the best gift we could have received. Watching it brought (and still brings) tears to our eyes because it so wonderfully encapsulates a day that flew by. I can't describe how much we love our video and it is truly magical to continue sharing it with family and friends.

We can't say enough about Nic, Brady & Justin. My husband and I felt comfortable with them from our 1st meeting at Starbucks. They are extremely professional, non obtrusive and they captured every single important shot from 2 different views. We purchased the full package which was so awesome because everyone loved the photo booth! Our family and friends are in love with our photos and the video clip makes me cry every single time I watch it. Nic was always available to me for a question and even now that our wedding is over. I highly recommend this team and am so happy that we chose them.

Truly, I despise picture taking. So, the highest compliment I can give is that Nic Donovan made both our engagement and wedding photos fun and expeditious. His laid back demeanor and vision for ideal shots made the process effortless for us and the pictures turned out immaculately. He graciously took every photo request from a 100 person wedding, and had to retake maybe three photos the entire night. He was just fantastic and we couldn't be happier.

Brides! Look no further! Nic and his fiancé, soon to be wife, are the couple to video your wedding or life moments. I can't begin to describe how amazing my highlight film turned out and am beyond thrilled for the 30 minute feature we added. He is worth every penny. Nic shot and created a video that truly captured my husband and I perfectly. There was so much love that day and we will cherish this video for years to come! It really was the best day ever!

I met Nic at a bridal show in November. He was very approachable and extremely friendly, but I was mostly interested in the the drone that he had on display. I was sold! Nic and his staff showed up on my wedding day (7/9/2016) on time and they were very professional. Nic has a great eye for details, which makes for awesome videography and editing of the footage. I was overwhelmed by the highlight video NuGen Media created and I am looking forward to receiving the complete video. NuGen Media helped to make my wedding day wonderful and I will enjoy watching the footage for years to come.

We have already watched our wedding video at least a 50 times. Nugen Media, and their staff present at our wedding, not only captured our moments getting ready, our ceremony, and reception; they both were a huge help in making our day go so smoothly. They laughed with us and did anything they could to help Danny and I throughout the night. Our wedding video is priceless to us! Nugen Media captured the happiest moments of our lives and portrayed it beautifully. We couldn't be more pleased!

NuGen Media was amazing. There was a pretty simple reason we picked Culpeper as the town we wanted to get married in - it helped us escape the hustle of D.C. and we loved how everyone knew each other. NuGen was referred to us not only by our venue but also by my day of hair salon. Nic and Justin were amazing and so easy to work with. They were able to capture every part of our day and even moments we didn't realized happened until we looked back through the RAW footage. I am so happy we made the decision to have a videographer because this is something we can cherish forever and rewatch as many times as we like. I can't say enough good things about Nic, Tim & team. They're super nice yet unobtrusive so you feel comfortable having them there and it's easy to just focus on your day. The video and pictures were delivered within a week of the wedding and they're STUNNING. I wanted pictures at the Jefferson Memorial; Nic said he had never done that but it sounded like fun. Even though I know that shooting portraits in front of a huge memorial isn't easy, the pictures are beautiful. They really did an amazing job capturing the day. The groom's best man was so impressed he plans to hire him for his wedding next year. Don't hesitate to book them...I guarantee you won't find anyone better without paying 3 times more (and even then, I doubt they would do a better job). Note: There might come a time before the wedding when your stressed out brain is telling you Nic is too laid back to do a good job. Take a deep breath and relax. The team was super professional and had everything under control from the second they arrived. You'll appreciate his calm demeanor on the big day.

NuGen Media was amazing....Nic and Amanda were.....amazing.....Our whole experience was amazing. During the wedding and the reception you wouldn't even have known they were there, everything was just natural. Before the wedding they were extremely professional and willing to help figure things out. They kept the wedding running on schedule and kept everyone calm. Now lets talk about the video and pictures. They were absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Never in my life would I have ever imagined everything would have come out the way it did. Everyone that sees our pictures thinks they either could be or should be in a magazine. NuGen Media is absolutely fantastic!! We have nothing but positive things to say about them, they made our wedding day an event to remember. I had seen Nic and Amanda's work before, so I knew how good it would be. But I had no clue just how great they would be DURING the filming. They were unobtrusive and did their work without asking for a lot of certain shots or setups. They were so easy going and fun. Like having a best friend in the room. The quality of the video was above and beyond what we thought it would be. The video editing and flow really matched the feel of our wedding perfectly. On top of all of that, our video was done in an extremely timely manor and we were able to watch it on our honeymoon together. Two big thumbs up. Don't go with anyone else.

Nic and Justin are amazing! They did both videography and photography for my wedding day. I would definitely choose them again in the future for other big occasions. My husband and I arrived Maryland one week before our wedding, we met up with Nic and went through our wedding day schedule and our expectations for the videos and photos. Nic is very easy to work with, he's very flexible in terms of working hours and number of locations. On our wedding day, they were very professional, follow us and take videos and photos all along, they caught all the precious moments of our big day. Literally 12 hours of working, very patient and helpful all the way through. I'm a virgo bride, perfectionism and detail oriented. I did a lot of research and talked to several different vendors before I found Nic's website. When I click into Nic's website, first thing I looked at was their price, the price is more reasonable than some other vendors' quotes. Then I watched all his videos and was impressed by the quality of work. We love our final video and photos which were delivered personally by Nic. It was very kind of him to make sure we reveived the final work before we left MD. Thanks Nic and Justin! hope we will get to work with you again for our other big events in the future =)
